Marty led Spin through the park. They enjoyed viewing the impeccably-pruned garden beds and seeing many families out enjoying the beautiful San Diego day. “I’d love to have
some kids of my own,” Spin said. Marty looked over and assessed Spin’s wistful facial expression. “Really?” she asked. “How many do you want?” “Oh, two or three would be good. My brother, Ian, is five years older than me. He’s married and has a great wife, Cassie. My two nephews and niece are so much fun. I’d love to have a family like that.” “Actually, I would, too,” admitted Marty. “With all my brothers, I’ve been an aunt since I was 16. I’ve got 5 nephews and 2 nieces and I love spending time with them when I get home, which sn’t very often these days.” The two held hands as they walked in a comfortable silence while they both individually pondered a possible future together.

After a short walk, Spin and Marty arrived at The Prado at Balboa Park, where a special table was reserved for them in the upscale restaurant. Marty decided to order a Mojito Cocktail, so Spin did, too. After reviewing the menu thoughtfully, Marty ordered the Vegetarian Black Bean Soup and Spin chose the Prado Tortilla Soup and they decided to share a plate of Crispy Calamari Fries and opted for sandwiches to complete their meal. Marty selected a Grilled Chicken BLT (with Haas avocado, Applewood smoked bacon, tarragon aioli on a hearth oven baked ciabatta roll) and Spin decided to order a Marinated Skirt Steak Panini (with fried tomatoes, organic field greens & horseradish-cheddar on house made roasted garlic shallot roll). With their order completed, Spin and Marty could sit back and relax and talk while they waited for what promised to be an outstanding meal.

The conversation flowed over lunch. Marty talked about her job and her friends from college who still lived in the City and went out often together. Spin talked about the History Department at Rutgers and how exciting it had been a few years ago to have Rutgers’ football team suddenly burst into national prominence. They talked about books they had read and learned they both liked novels with themes of historical significance like Gone with the Wind, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and The Grapes of Wrath, books that were personal favorites for both of them. They learned they had both played soccer as kids and loved to bowl. They learned that they both had worn braces and were late bloomers. They couldn’t stop smiling and they were both too full to eat dessert.

After lunch, Spin and Marty were picked up by limo and driven to a section of San Diego called the Gaslamp Quarter, where they visited the William Heath Davis Historic House Museum in the heart of the District. The Museum was a yellow two-story saltbox style house that had been shipped around Cape Horn and built in San Diego in 1850. Spin and Marty enjoyed stories about the house and its former inhabitants, who included pre-civil war soldiers, a German spy, and San Diego founder, Alonzo Horton. Each room was decorated to represent a different historical period from its past. After touring the Museum, they took the Walking tour of the Gaslamp Quarter and spent the rest of the afternoon admiring charming Victorian structures marked by their gingerbread trim, stopping in quaint shops, touring galleries, and visiting other museums.

For dinner, Marty had decided to play it by ear. She knew there were tons of restaurants in the Gaslight district and figured they could just pick a place when they got hungry.
That is how they ended up at the Dublin Square Irish Pub, eating Authentic Irish Lamb Stew, followed by Irish Bread Pudding topped with Sweet Irish Whiskey Sauce for dessert. There was live entertainment and all the Guinness they could want. “It sure feels good to sit down after all that walking we did,” Marty commented. “Yes, it does. But, I want to thank you for a wonderful day, Marty. This has been a perfect date and a perfect way to get to know you better.” Marty smiled. “Somehow, I feel like I’ve always known you, Spin.” “Actually, I feel the same way, Marty.”

After a full day of activities, Spin and Marty rode home in the limo, feeling content with their relationship. In the back seat, they lay down side by side and kissed each other sweetly with long gazes between kisses, realizing that they had all of their lives ahead and there was no reason to rush anything. They planned to enjoy each and every moment of discovery with their new, but forever, soulmate.

Rayne and Toni knew that each of
them was going to need special permission from Chris for something, so they
took off together to find him.

Bryanne was trying to think of a
welcoming and inviting way, and perhaps a little sassy, to ask Will to be her
date. She was anxious and curious to see how he responded if she showed him a
little bit more of her flirtatious side. As quickly as things happened on this
show, it was the only way she was going to find out if there was chemistry
between them.

Pammy's job at this point, was to
think of some ideas for their date. She certainly knew of one or two places
she'd love to revisit herself, and a couple of hot spots where there would be
fun groups of people. She also knew of a couple of caterers who could provide a
wonderful beach lunch for a small group such as theirs. New ideas just kept
popping into her head!

While a great deal of decision-making
and planning and closet-gazing and spray tanning and teeth whitening was
happening over on the girls' side, many of the guys were taking it easy and
having a relaxed day, just waiting for the one-on-ones with their honeys, OR
waiting to see if they'd even be chosen for a date by one of the ladies.

It could easily happen that, like
that shallow, egocentric fool Joey on "Dating In the Dark," they
might not get picked for a date at all and would be sitting in the villa with
no female companionship this week!! How idiotic they would feel like then!

Leo, Ross and Bill were hanging out
close to the edge of the b'ball court, taking some time from a pick-up game, to
have some snacks and a beer. Ross had appeared a little less lively, and wasn't
moving quite as quickly on the courts as he had in the days past. Bill was the
one who noticed that he was a bit on the pensive side.

He half-punched Ross' arm, wanting
to get him trading barbs and insults again, and said.

"Dude, where's your head today?
Not on the game, that's for sure!' Leo picked up on it, too, and made fun,
saying, "Yeah, I bet he's got a certain "pretty lady singer"
on his mind, not the hoops."

Ross just kind of half-chuckled,
shook his head and told his buddies that yeah, his mind was on Renee,
assuming that's who Leo was talking about, but that was all there was to
that.

He told Bill and Leo what Renee had
said the other night, before the Rose Ceremony, that she didn't have the same
kind of feelings for him, and she wasn't ready to get as serious as she
thought Ross was.

Leo led the guys back to the court,
so they wouldn't get too cooled down by a long break, but they continued
talking .......... about what they were doing here, about how sexy different
ones of the girls were, and about who was here "for the right
reasons." Pretty soon, all that kind of "soft talk" ceased, and
they were sweaty and hot again, grunting as they set up for a shot or
jumped for a dunk, pushing each other aside as they angled for the ball and a
steal.

At about the same time as this manly
show of testosterone, Rayne and Toni were talking with Chris about some special
circumstances and requests....

Chris, Rayne and Toni were in a
sheltered palm-lined beachy area outside the south villa, sitting under a large
table umbrella offering some nice shade, enjoying a gentle ocean breeze, and
each a mimosa......how yummy and relaxing pre-lunch!

Rayne had already asked Chris for
permission to head over to the men's villa to talk to Leo, and he had given it,
with a couple of conditions, which Rayne was happy to meet, just to be able to
see that man-'o'-hers! But she didn't forget about her mission either, running
reconnaissance for Pamela, and having told Chris about that, got his agreement
that that seemed like a good plan.

Chris, of course, already knew about
the Renee and Ross thing from having watched all the tape from all the cameras
early that morning. Chris always did that so that he could maintain his image
as the "host-with-the-most" inside information.

Now, Toni was pleading her case to
be able to ask Brian, and not one of the other bachelors, on the girl's choice
date. Chris had already made up his mind to say yes as soon as Toni began
speaking, so now he was just watching her, and trying to figure out if she
would be compatible for Brian in the romance department. A sly smile, with an
accompanying idea, began to form in his mind.

Chris let Toni know he'd be in touch
with her, and suggested that Rayne go get ready. It was Chris' idea that
she could deliver Bryanne's invitation to Will in the same trip. Chris asked
Rayne and Toni to send Pammy out to the veranda, so he and she could
mull over the date ideas.

The cameras followed Rayne and Toni
back into their suite, chatting and plotting, and then Pamela as she left the
suite and headed out to see Chris, armed with maps and brochures, a yellow
notepad scribbled with ideas, a pen and highlighter. Daughter of a military
man, she knew how to be organized and prepared, and it held her in good stead
as a Kindergarten teacher, and now, in this role of "date
planner." She was in her element, but to Chris, obviously a little nervous
about Ross.

M went to pick up Steve. She
had decided they would do some shopping, then have lunch followed by a nice
walk on the beach, just of day of friends having some time to talk and enjoy
San Diego.

As they were shopping, Steve saw a
shop that had an interesting advertisement "say it in the skies"'
what in the world is that 'he wondered. "M, let's go in here
for a minute." They entered the shop and Steve asked the clerk what
the ad meant. The man explain that it is a message that was carried
behind an airplane, or it was an airplane that could write words using
"smoke" type printing. 'Um," Steve thinks, "M, I have
an idea, let's go." They go outside and find a seat. "M,
I need to let Sarah know how I feel about her and I want to do something
special, what do you think of na airplane pulling a banner with a message for
her." "Oh Steve, that would be wonderful, so sweet and I know
she is not sure how you are feeling about her and her situation," replied
M. "Help me write a message, M; I'm not sure what to
write." They thought of messages like, "Sarah, I love you,
Sarah, marry me." "Those words are just too soon," said
Steve. I have strong feelings for her, but I don't think she is thinking
of getting married right now. Finally they came up with a simple message,
it would read; "Someone named Sarah
has Steve's heart"
"Yes, said M" she was as
excited as Steve, "Let's do it!" They rush back inside, set up
the appointment to fly early that evening. M would return to the villa,
ask Sarah to go for a walk on the beach where Steve would be with a nighttime
picnic for the three of them on the beach. What M doesn't know is Steve
will get in touch with Jesse to meet them at the beach.

With they taken care of, M and Steve
enjoyed a lunch of leisure, walked, did some more shopping and returned to the
men's villa. They hugged goodbye eager to meet later that night.

At one point in the b'ball game, Leo
was bent over taking a breather and a few gulps of H2O, when something caught
his attention out of the corner of his eye, beneath a palm tree close to the
villa wall. He stood up, trying to get a better glimpse of it, and started
toward the tree.

"Dude, where are you going? Are
we too much for ya?" Ross and Bill teased Leo.

"Er, um nah! I just need a
muscle stretch...be right back," Leo waved the guys off. HE THOUGHT HE
SPIED THE IMMUNITY IDOL!! OH man what luck that would
be ... Rayne and I would be safe for sure this week if I had it!!! I wonder if
she's been looking, too.

Leo bent over and picked up the item
he had seen. Hmmm ... he didn't know!! He'd never been a Survivor fan, so he
didn't know if the idol was supposed to actually look like something.
What he held was twisted and dried, it looked like it had two vine-y
arms and 3 long trailing legs, but he couldn't i.d. anything that looked like a
head. But still, he thought, I better hide it in case it IS the Immunity
Idol. I'll show Rayne later....surely she'll know!

He tucked the smooth, odd-shaped
piece beneath several palm leaves under the tree, and determined he'd come
back later, after dark, to pick it up.

Meanwhile, while Pam was going over
some ideas with Chris, Bryanne & Toni made an invitation for Will, which
Rayne was going to deliver, and Rayne got changed.

While they worked on the invite,
Toni and Bryanne talked about Will, and about looking for the Immunity Idol.
Both of them had been around the grounds and inside the women's villa enough
that they had a couple of ideas about where it might be.

They finished up the invitation,
then Toni, holding it out in front of her and admiring it, said,
"Well, Bry, if Will doesn't get at least a glimmer of an idea that you
have another side ~ a flirty side ~ (as she put her hands on her waist and gave
a little slither), then his hormone level needs a checkup!"

The invitation was in the shape of
an hourglass, drawn in and colored like a curvy bikini-clad body ... which when
opened read,

"Will ... Time is slipping
away, Sugar!

Let's not waste any more with
wondering.

Please join me for some fun and love
in the sun,

Along the beach and the deep blue
sea."

Bryanne then eyed Toni up and down,
and said ....... "And if YOU give even a hint of that slither
you just showed me to Brian, he'll probably hand over his handcuffs to you, and
........."

"OMG, STOP IT!!' Toni was
laughing out loud and blushing, to her own surprise, and to Bry's great
amusement.

"I don't have ANY designs like
that on him," Toni said still blushing and turning her head to a mirror on
the wall, playing with the wisps of hair along her neckline.

"UH-HUH, right!!" Bryanne
gave back to her.

Toni argued again, and Bry cut
her off with, "I think thou dost protest too much, little Miss
Innocent."

"OH COME ON! Let's forget about this, and go find the
idol!"

Toni and Bryanne met up with Rayne,
and laughed when they saw her completed get-up, the familiar blue and red
short-sleeved man shirt, buttoned all the way up to her neck, high-wasted black
pants with cuffs and a man-belt, sensible boring black oxfords with black
socks, and a goofy two-pointed hat pulled down tight over all of her hair, hiding
any long wayward strands of her blonde locks. A little rubber blubber to
flesh out her nose and a pair of wraparound dark glasses hid her facial
features to the point where you really had to look hard to recognize her as
Rayne..............

The jig was completed with the very
real pizza in the very real Dominos boxes that one of the staffers had zipped
out to get while she got costumed.

Rayne would go deliver Will's
invitation and talk to Leo about Ross, as a Dominos pizza delivery
boy. The producers wanted the disguise so as not to start some precedent
and then a trend, of the boys coming to the South Side or the girls wanting to
visit the North. At the very start of this adventure, Chris had said that
was verboten.

Accompanied by a member of
production, she/he was escorted to the men's villa, and allowed to walk through
the living area and the kitchen, toward the suite Leo shared with Will and
Martin. Production staff had called the rest of the guys out to the beach for a
supposed "challenge game" of volleyball, leaving only Will and
Leo, ignorant of the ruse or the set-up game, in their room, watching the Hall
of Fame game on tv.

The staffer knocked on the closed
door, and called Will and Leo out of their room, "for just a second ....
I've gotta talk to you about somethin'!" The door opened, the staffer
stepped back, and a surprised Leo and Will watched as Rayne handed Will the
pizzas and the invitation, taped right on the top box, removed her shades, then
her hat, letting her soft blonde curls tumble out onto her shoulders. Will just
stood smiling, and Rayne said sweetly to him, "The invite is for you,
Dimples. And you just better say yes!"

She then turned toward Leo, who was
whistling hello, and then sweeping up his bundle of sweetness in a big
bear hug. The staffer, waiting with Will, said, "10 minutes, Miss. And the
door stays ajar."

Leo carried Rayne into his room, and
they had several minutes of sweet & salty smooching, before she said
"OK, hold up, my lion, I really have to talk to you." She launched
into Pamela's feelings about Ross, and asked what Leo knew, and they talked
seriously about the connection possibilities between their two mutual friends.
Leo told of Renee's letting Ross down, and of Ross' emotional loneliness all
this week.

In the meantime, Will happily read
the bikini invitation from Bryanne with a huge smile on his face, muttered
"Yes, yes!!" under his breath, then remembering that the staffer was
standing there, looked at him, and like a smitten boy, said innocently, "It's
from Bryanne." The staffer just nodded with a little smile. Will looked it
over again, then back at the staffer, and said, "She's pretty special,
isn't she?" The staffer, who'd been with the cameramen assigned to the
girls all this week, knew that yes, indeed, Bry was quite something! He
shrugged his shoulders, and with a sly smile, just said, "You're a fool if
you don't say yes!"

Leo and Rayne had decided that Ross
and Pamela should do this, and let the chips fall where they may, or let
Cupid's arrows hit whomever in the arse!

They gave each other one more
long, satisfying kiss, they tucked her hair up inside the hat, she
re-donned her shades, and they joined Will and the staffer in the common
kitchen. The other guys were filtering back in from outside, saw the delivery
boy and the pizza box, and began diving in.

"PIZZA! Oh, yeah! Awesome!
Perfect! Where's the beer?!"

She looked at Will questioningly, he
winked at her, handed her a twenty, and said loudly, "YES,
thanks, keep the change. YEAH, I think I'm really going to like the pizza.
YES! Tell your boss you did a great job and delivered within 10 minutes."

Rayne and the staffer disappeared
out the door, with her remembering that she needed to tell Jennarosa and
Michelle how SMOKIN' hot Troy and Johnny were in nothing
but their trunks. Whoo-Hoo, she whistled as she headed back to the south
villa!

Within moments, Rayne was out of
that dreadful get-up and into her suit, ready to do some playing in the water.
She found Chris and Pam, still at the umbrella table under the palms, now
joined by Toni and Bryanne.

"Well?" Chris said as
Rayne confidently walked toward the 4 of them.

Rayne high-fived Bryanne, telling
her that Will said YES, YEAH, and YES!!!

Pam looked like she was going to
burst. She'd been sitting with the others all these many minutes, waiting for
Rayne to return, and Chris had been sharing some of Ross' story with her and
the others. She was becoming more and more intrigued and interested as they all
had listened to Chris, but still Pamela didn't know about Ross' intentions
toward Renee.

Rayne excitedly told them all what
Leo had said, about Renee letting Ross go several days ago, and about
Ross' low feelings and loneliness since then. Renee had asked Martin out, and
they had a great, fun date, Leo had said.

"So, Pammy ~ Leo and I
both think it would be a great idea to ask Ross to go with us
tomorrow, as your date, and Leo is pretty darned sure, from a high compliment
Ross gave you, you classy lady, that he is going to be VERY happy
it's you! So let's send an ambassador to invite Ross for you....NOT ME, though.
I NEVER want to deliver another pizza in my life............ though I must
say, those shirtless guys were pretty enticing!! Where are Jenny and
Michelle?" she asked, looking around like she had some hot news to share.

Chris volunteered to be the emissary
for Pam to Ross, and she was grateful to have him do the favor for her.

"Chris," Pamela said,
"Please be sure he knows that I would be honored if he'd accept."

Chris nodded, then looked at Toni
and said, "I'll see you in the penthouse around 7, then?"

Toni nodded, and the other girls
noticed that she was blushing just slightly, and nervously playing with her
fingernails.

Rayne turned around and looked at Toni
a little suspiciously when she heard Chris make that last
comment..........."What was THAT? You're meeting Chris in his hotel room?
Hmmm..?"

Pam and Bryanne immediately started
waving their hands in her face, as they all removed their cover-ups and towels
and headed down to the water's edge to play.

"She's having dinner WITH
BRIAN, CHRIS & GWEN
tonight! Yes, she is!"

"Well, oooo, ain't that
spe-ci-al, girl!?" Rayne teased.

STORYTIME: BACHELOR SURVIVOR - Page 12 Empty Re: STORYTIME: BACHELOR SURVIVOR

Post by SmartandTruthful Fri Apr 19, 2013 8:05 am

The Bachelor girls at Hotel del
Coronado this season spent the rest of the day enjoying the fresh air and
sandy, sunny beach at the Del, relishing the peaceful atmosphere surrounding
this place. It was so much fun to have the beach nearly all to themselves, and
to be able to dip in and out of the water, and laze about without
feeling like they had to be somewhere at a certain time.

While several of the girls were out
on this day with their dates, there were still 13 or 14 of them together back
at here, enjoying the relative solitude and beauty of the warm
summer sands outside the south villa.

They played volleyball, lolled about
in hammocks, polished each others toenails, read the rag-mags which were in
abundance...full of stories about Jake and Vienna, Kate and Jon, and "oh
sweet romance for once ~ Ali & Roberto!"

Toward the end of the afternoon,
Toni went in to shower and get dressed for her dinner date with Chris &
Gwen, and Brian, too.

Toni did NOT expect a connection
with Brian. Her meeting him was about business. He was not here as a Bachelor,
but rather as a friend and confidant of Chris', and as security for this new
situation with Sarah. It was simply a fortuitous coincidence that
Toni was assigned to do a news piece on celeb extortion, and then she lands as
a bona fide Bachelor participant, with 2 first-hand "expert sources,"
so to speak, in the midst. How could a lady get so lucky?

The natural rose in Toni's cheeks
was heightened slightly by a touch of too much sun, so she needed no blush,
just a pat of powder. Her short black hair framed her face in such a
feminine way that it needed no curling or gelling at all. It was going to be a
casual evening, so a touch of mascara, and some raspberry lip dew was all
the makeup she used this evening. She wore silver hoop earrings and a
fine-gauge silver-beaded neclace to accent the teal halter-top tunic she
wore over a khaki skirt that stopped about 4 inches above her knees. She wore
simple pale beige thong sandals.

Several of the girls, including all
3 of her Team 3-mates, and several others who had become fast friends, were
lolling about on the beds in the room where Toni was getting ready. They were
all getting ready with popcorn, Reese's peanut butter cups, Mike's
Hard Lemonade and cherry pepsi, to watch a movie tonight ~~
"Sleepless in Seattle" ~~ and make a true slumber party out of
it. They would hear all about Toni's dinner date when she returned
"home," but for now, they pronounced her ready, gorgeous and
classy!

With the help of the camerawoman and
the guide, Toni found her way to the room Chris and Gwen called theirs for the
duration of this season of the Bachelor. It wasn't exactly a penthouse, by
definition, but when Toni stepped inside, that's certainly what it
seemed.

The Hotel calls this their Signature
Suite. It's in the Victorian Building, and is beautifully decorated, with
a mix of the classic and the modern, all in earth tones, white and sand
beige and chocolate brown. It is as spacious as a small one-bedroom house, with
a bay window-ed meal nook and an expansive balcony overlooking the ocean.

Toni was welcomed by Chris and Gwen,
and they were giving her a tour of their digs, when a knock at the door meant
that Brian had arrived. As Toni stood back a bit in the central living area,
the hosts greeted their friend with hugs and handshakes, and then Chris turned
toward Toni as if to introduce her, but Brian spoke first, moving past Chris,
extending his hand to her, and saying, "And you must be Toni Olivet. It's
truly a pleasure to meet you finally. I cannot believe we haven't crossed paths
these past few days."

He kept holding her hand.

"I'm the one who's lucky to be
meeting you, Brian. Your compassion and your fame and your friends precede
you," Toni said as she looked toward the Harrisons.

She was still holding his hand.

She noticed how green his eyes were.
He noticed how full and blushed her lips were as they smiled at him.

STORYTIME: BACHELOR SURVIVOR - Page 12 Empty Re: STORYTIME: BACHELOR SURVIVOR

Steve got in touch with Jesse once
he returned to the villa. Jesse knew what he had to do; he had some
shopping to do before the picnic. He's hoping this will solidify their
relationship; he's so nervous; their relationship is so precarious at the
moment; he can't come on too strong. Although he would marry her in a New
York minute if he knew she would say yes. What Steve didn't know was that
an old girlfriend was going to enter the situation which would put this
relationship in another tail-spin.

Steve ordered a picnic dinner from
Penny and Jenny. They fixed him fried chicken, potato salad, tomatoes,
cucumbers with cream cheese, wine and apple cobbler for desert. He went
to the beach and set things up; it was around 5:30. Jesse appeared with
his special gift, M and Sarah would arrive around 6pm.

The girls arrived and when Sarah saw
Steve, she was all smiles, she slowly walked towards him, he walked towards
her, stopped gave her a big hug and a soft kiss on her lips. "I've missed
you Sarah, missed you so much" "I've missed you too,
Steve" Sarah replied, all warm, feeling so safe.

When M saw Jesse, she was shocked
but soon began smiling; her heart began to take extra beats; he was so very
handsome, such a "boy" so open in his feelings for M. She could
see love in his eyes; she certainly hoped so because she was having the same feelings
for him. He gently hugged M, took her hand and they walked to the water's
edge. He put his arms around her as he stood behind her. "M,
I've missed you so much, I hope you have missed me too, I know it was only
yesterday we saw each other but one day away from you is like a
lifetime." M smiled and nodded 'yes" "I've missed you too,
Jesse" as she leaned back into his strong chest; they stood there for a
long time just enjoying the nearness of each other.

They were hungry. The chicken
was "finger-licking "as was the potato salad and the cucumber with
cream cheese was just what the "doctor ordered". "Yummy,
this is the best apple cobbler I've ever had" all three agreed. They
were having so much fun talking, saying how much they loved San Diego-the whole
area. "I could live here" all said. They agreed this
would be a wonderful place to move to.

Suddenly up in the skies, they heard
a plane. They all look up. Steve is sitting behind Sarah with his
arms around her. She has her head back on his shoulder, turn her head every now
and then for a kiss. "Look at that," called out M. "Oh my,
Sarah, do you see that?" she asks as she turns and looks at Sarah.
Sarah is speechless; she turns and looks at Steve. "Did you to that,
Steve?" she asks, smiling. "Yes my darling I did and I mean
every word written!" They say no more. He stands and takes her
hand and they walk away to be alone. They stand together hugging each
other. "Is this too soon, Sarah?
Am I going too fast? Please tell me I'm not." He looks
into her beautiful greenish-blue eyes, running his hand through her short curly
black hair. "No, Steve, it's not too soon. Thank you so much
for those beautiful words, you too have my heart Steve. "Steve
removes a box and inside is the other half of another heart to go with the
heart Sarah is wearing. Like Mark with Marlee, he removes the necklace
and places his half next to her half, uniting their hearts.

M and Jesse are enjoying this time
alone together. They hugged, kissed, smiled, hugged, kissed and continued
that way for sometime. "Jesse, I need to tell you something. I
called my publishing company today and told them I would not be moving to New
York City. I don't want to move, Jesse; I don't want to leave you, I want
to stay right here." "No I can't let you do that M. I can
commute for a few months until I sell the business." M turns to
Jesse, "You are not going to sell "our" business, Jesse, I
refuse to let you; that said, forget it, I'm staying here. They are
willing to allow me to work here and travel once a month to NYC to meet with
illustrators and editors. It's all settled." Jesse smiles and
kisses her gently. Out of the blue, Jesse friend and body guard come
running to Jesse, "Jesse, I need for you to come with me right now"
Jacob calls out as he approaches Jesse. Running ahead of Jacob is a woman holding a small child. "On no
you don't, Jacob! Elizabeth cries out. "Jesse, I want you to meet
your son. Jesse, meet Jesse, Jr. She places what seems to be
a 6-9 month old in Jesse's arms. "What is this,
Elizabeth? What is this about?" M is shocked, she looks at
Jesse, looks at the beautiful little baby, looks back at Jesse. She sees
something, she seems a mini Jesse in the baby. She turns and start
running. "M, honey, wait, come back here, please M, come back, I can
explain." M continues running.

Renee was dressed so pretty. She was
wearing a short black cocktail dress with a silver belt, silver heeled sandals
and big silver hoop earrings. Martin was likewise dressed in a black suit
(think Roberto at the rose ceremony, my heart is still palpitating), white
shirt, no tie, dressed black shoes.

Renee arrives at the men’s villa; Martin awaits her. She takes one look
at him and her heart starts a rapid beat, 'oh my' she's thinking, 'what a hunk,
oh my'. "Hi Roberto, I mean Martin, are you ready to go."
"Who's Roberto" asks Martin questioningly. "Oh, Roberto is
the guy who Ali chose on her show, Martin; you look so much like
him." "Oh, now I understand why everybody is referring to me as
a Roberto clone; I thought there was something wrong with me. Thanks for
giving me that information, now I won't feel like I have some disease."
he laughs as he looks at how pretty Renee is. "Wow, you're beautiful,
Renee, thanks for asking me out on this date." They get into the
limo, busy looking at each other.

"Martin, I hope you will enjoy this place I'm taking you. Do you
like Hawaiian food?" "I've never had Hawaiian food that I know
of Renee, but I like food period, so this will be great." replies
Martin. They arrive at Roy's, a restaurant known as Roy's Hawaiian Fusion
Cuisine. It's a lovely place decorated in a Hawaiian motif, all bright with
lots of colors. Renee has made a reservation; they are seated in a quiet
location. Renee tells the waitress they will enjoy a drink before they
order. They look at the drink list and Renee mentions, "I have never
had a Mai Tai, so I think I'll have one" Martin looks at the
Island-Inspired Mojitos, which is a mixture of fresh mango with Bacardi Lemon
Rum, hand squeezed lime juice with muddled mint. He decides on
that. They will share their drink. "Yum, this is so good"
says Renee as she slaps her lips tenderly. Martin is looking at her lips
thinking how kissable they look; all moist and ready to be tasted. They
share drinks and order another. "Oh no, I'm getting a little
buzz" says Renee "I'm drinking on an empty stomach. I think we
better order."

They order appetizers of crispy shrimp cakes and tomato and grill
asparagus. For dinner Renee orders Crispy Herb Infused Chicken while
Martin orders Pork Tenderloin with Jasmine Rice with black bean garlic
sauce. For desert they order Roy's Melting Hot chocolate Souffle.
They are too busy enjoying the delicious food to talk; they share their food.

After a delicious dinner, they decide to take a walk along the beach.
They talk and share their future plans. Renee wants to run her own music
school, teaching guitar, violin, piano, drums, trumpet; all kinds of musical
instruments. It would be private instruction, sort of like a consignment
type business. Martin also eventually wants to own his own business and
he's in the process of meeting his dream opening a campus-type coffee shop
where the students can go to study and enjoy snacks and drinks. And most
important, no female student will be allowed to return to her dorm or apartment
alone; he would provide escorts for all the girls who come in alone. "We
read too often of tragedy on campuses where some girl in found dead as a result
of walking home late at night after going to the library or visiting another
student to study. I don't want that to happen at my school. I'm not
sure it will work out, but I've got positive results in surveys I've
taken. My place will open in about 4 months. I hope to do this at
other campuses." "That's a wonderful idea, Martin. I know
I was so afraid many times I walked home alone after studying half the night in
the library. I guess I was lucky I was never hurt."
"That's the idea, Renee, safety." They are holding hands, Renee
is feeling a little chilled, Marin removes his jacket and puts it around
Renee's shoulder, keeping his arm around her. They feel good like
this. They are beginning to have some special feelings for one another
but neither is ready to take that first step for a kiss. Instead, when
they arrive back at the men's villa, Martin hugs Renee, kisses her on the
cheek, saying,“Thanks for a wonderful evening.” He’s thinking when it comes time for me to pick someone to
date, Renee will be the one.
He wants to get to know her better.
Likewise, Renee is in heaven; she has enjoyed her date with Martin so much and
hopes for another chance to date him.

Chris and Gwen stood there for a
moment watching and listening, then looked at each other and grinned. Gwen
scooted around them toward the phone, while she told Chris to finish up the
tour of their suite with the extraordinary view.

She called the kitchen to let them
know they were ready for dinner.

It was a marvelous supper in both
its simplicity and classic elegance, presented in a way that made you feel you
were in a 4-star restaurant all the way. Gwen had chosen the melt-in-your-mouth
Fried Green Tomatoes, the Tomba Tuna, and fresh asparagus pasta salad with a
house-special vinegar and sauteed shallot dressing. The men had chosen
"Moose Drool" to drink ~~ a rich brown ale from Big Sky Brewing Co.
in Montana. Gwen and Toni each had the pom/cranberry iced tea.

They ate at the table in the bay
window nook, looking out over the beach and the ocean beyond, and as they ate
the sun went down behind the hotel, leaving a soft aqua glow above the water
for the longest time.

The conversation was not intense or
overly-serious, though Toni did broach the subject of an interview with Brian,
and he seemed receptive to the idea. Chris purposely wanted this to be a
calming, relaxed evening for all of them, after the challenging week
it had turned out to be for the production crew and for Brian, involving both
Lucy-Lynn and Sarah. They spoke of those events, with Toni learning much of the
stories for the first time. The country's economic woes came up, as did the
god-awful heat that parts of the country were having, thus leading to an
opening of views regarding global warming and the surge in natural disasters.

They talked of Chris and Gwen's
children, and the couple shared an album of recent family photos. Brian and
Toni pored over them closely, laughing with each story that Chris or Gwen told,
and finding themselves sitting thisclose to each other on the couch as
they leaned in toward the pictures.

Grrrr ....... I want my edit function back!!

Um, forgive me ... I believe the last time I noticed, the
sun sets in the West, not the East, and if I'm not mistaken, the Pacific Ocean
and San Diego are on the west coast , so as Chris, Gwen, Toni and Brian were
eating supper in their oceanfront suite,
I'm quite sure they would have been facing west and therefore, looking towards
the sunset, not having the sunset to their backs.

Sheesh ....is this a romance or a comedy??? :-)

Why doesn't the sun move across the country the
same way the wind and the weather do, from West to East? Wouldn't that just
make life so much easier? Or at least this part of the story?

The Hotel staff had lit the torches
outside on the balcony, and had left after-dinner drinks for the foursome.

With Chris and Gwen leading the way,
Brian took Toni's hand and led her up from the couch and around the coffee
table, to the balcony. Chris and Gwen had taken the double chaise lounge, which
left two porch rockers for Brian and Toni. The night air was just beginning to
cool, the last of the rose of sunset was fading, and the stars began
to twinkle in the night sky.

The conversations and comedic
stories continued, Chris telling tales of past Bachelor shows, including the
cocktail party that will live in infamy, when one bachelorette tried to give
the Englishman Matt her panties! Brian told an exciting story about a job he'd
been on, tracking down an escapee who led the FBI through 5 states before they
could apprehend him. Brian said it was a hell of a way to see the USA!

Blankets had been laid out for the
group, and first Gwen, then Toni, each wrapped one across their lap, and as the
night air continued to chill, Chris and Gwen snuggled, and Brian pulled Toni's
rocker closer to his own, wrapping a second blanket around Toni's shoulders,
and pulling her as close to him as he could, so he could at least put his arm
around her shoulder.

Brian thought should I invite her
to come sit on my lap?

Toni thought, What if he invites
me to sit on his lap?

Brian answered himself, It's too
early, and this isn't a DATE, it's dinner with friends.

Toni answered herself, What are
you thinking? It's too early, and this is a business dinner.

Chris and Gwen were thinking, Why
doesn't one of them suggest she sit on his lap? Why didn't we think ahead and
take the rockers so they'd HAVE to share the chaise?

~~ more to come, nearly done for the
night ~~

Finally, Gwen thought to give Chris
their secret hand signal beneath their blanket. It was four squeezes of the
hand. It could simply be the traditional familly's "I love you"
communication~~

4 squeezes by the 1st person ~ 4
silent syllables: "Do you love me?"

3 squeezes by the 2nd person in
reply ~ 3 silent syllables: "Yes I do."

2 squeezes by the 1st ~ 2 silent
syllables: "How much?"

1 big tight squeeze by 2nd ~
signifying just how hard they love the other!

For Chris and Gwen, when they were
in situations like this, it had also come to mean, "Follow my lead ~ I
think something's up."

"Well," Gwen said to Chris
with a small fake yawn, "Time for me to call it a day, honey. Can you
carry on with entertaining our guests?"

Chris followed suit and said he was
beginning to tire, too, and was going to head in. But he motioned for Brian and
Toni to stay put, suggested they continue getting to know one another,
and maybe Toni could start her interview. He said they could stay as long
as they wanted, just turn out the lights and lock the door behind them when
they headed to their own rooms.

Brian and Toni soon moved to the
double chaise, not for romance, but for heat ... they could pile all the
blankets on top of them and stay warm. As Toni talked about this nice evening,
and Brian answered her questions about Chris and Gwen's life and their
friendship with him, she told him that she was truly impressed with the
caring and wholesomeness that seemed to exude from the Harrisons, and the true
love that they showed for their children.

She had not had that kind of
upbringing, and she had such respect for parents that could balance love
and discipline and structure and playfulness. So that led to talk about
families, which led to talk about children, which led to talk about careers,
and so on. What she learned about Brian's personal and family
life led her to want to know more, and so she asked him:

"Brian, I DO want to
interview you for my job, sometime, and I really hope that'll be alright
with you, but tonight I'd like to ask you something else, that has nothing to
do with my job or yours."

"Yeah?"

"Tomorrow, 3 of the girls
and I have our ladies' choice dates, and we've decided to go on a group
date to the........."

"Yes."

"What?"

"Yes."

A smile crept onto her lips,
"Wait, you don't even know .........."

"May I please be your date for
tomorrow?" Brian asked.

Toni had been sitting side by side
to Brian, though he did have his arm around her shoulder, for warmth. Now, she
turned a 1/4 turn to look at his face, which was smiling, and she was smiling
back.

"Well, may I?"

Toni teasingly said, "Maybe
you'd like to know what we're doing before ...."

"I don't care. I'd be your
date. I'd be with you."

Toni once again thought, "How
could a lady get so lucky?" and said, "I'm the one who would be
honored....."

Before she could say another word,
Brian pulled Toni closer yet to him, looked into her eyes for the
"yes" to his silent question, and kissed those full, blushed lips he
hadn't been able to get out of his mind all night. Toni responded with a kiss
back that was relaxed and inviting and warm.

A spark was lit, and they both hoped
that their day together tomorrow would fan its flames to a full-blown
fire in their hearts ......... Toni, because that's what she had come here for,
to find love; Brian, because he had put love aside for so long in his life,
perhaps it was time to be open to it once again.

Brian and Toni took the beach walk
back to her villa, Brian of course being able to do that because he wasn't a
Bachelor on the show. That, however, did bring up a question in his mind, and
he suggested to Toni that he would ask Chris in the morning if it was alright
for hm to be her date, but she interrupted him, resting her head on his
shoulder as they neared, the door to the south villa:

"I already did."

"You did?"

They were at her place, and she
turned to him, whispered "I did" and stood on her toes to reach his
lips with her own for yet another wonderful, natural, loving kiss. And then she
was gone, into the villa, for the night.

After Chris left on Tuesday morning, Emily looked around and realized that every other girl seemed to be finding a special guy except her. She really couldn’t decide who to ask on a one-on-one date, so she arranged with Chris to invite all of the Bachelors! An invitation arrived at the Men’s Villa. When Martin opened the envelope, he read it to all the guys:

Be ready Thursday at 11AM!

Every

Man

Invited!

Liking

You All!

“Hey, who’s that from?” “I don’t know. It doesn’t say!” “Let me see that.” “Ok, I’ve got it! It’s an anagram and it’s from Emily.”

Thanks, Super! Travy is another writer who has written with us in the past. She named the characters in the fourth limo and outlined some personality traits, but hasn’t been able to with us yet. Hopefully, she’ll be able to join in before we get done. Keep on reading! S&T

Emily had come up with a brilliant idea for her date with the remaining Bachelors. Of course, she realized a few of them might be no shows, if her date conflicted with one of the other girls’ plans, but that really didn’t matter. What was one guy, more or less, when there were more than 15 of them? On Thursday morning, she dressed in a leotard and her best black spandex jogging suit with the blue stripe down the side of the pants, combed her honey-blonde hair back into a sleek ponytail, put on some eye shadow, mascara, and lip gloss and she was good to go! Most of the men were ready when she got to their Villa and they all piled onto the bus that would take them to their destination. “Thanks for coming, guys! We’re going to a place I’ve only dreamed of and I’m so excited to share the experience with you. It should also be a lot of fun.” The men on board the bus couldn’t help but notice how adorable Emily looked with her ponytail swinging in a way that matched her perky personality. “On the way there, we get to splurge on some Dunk ‘N Donuts! With all we’ll be doing and the fact we’ll be having a late lunch, we’ll be able to use the extra calories today!” An attendant in a navy blue jogging suit began passing out the donuts and cups of coffee or juice to the guys on the bus. “Hi, Guys,” he said. “I’m Max. Chris Harrison has arranged for me to be on loan to you for the day. Normally donuts would be off limits, but I agree with Emily. You are going to need the extra calories!” Emily couldn’t help but notice that Max was one cute, physically fit guy.

When the bus pulled up to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, the Bachelors couldn’t believe their eyes. Emily was taking them on a date here? How cool! “Well, guys, you know I have dreams of bringing a team of the gymnasts I coach here one day, so I thought while I was in the neighborhood, I should check it out. I didn’t think you would mind coming along with me.” The guys were grinning from ear to ear and shaking their heads. Max walked down the aisle from the back of the bus. He had removed the jacket of his jogging suit and now wore an official U.S. Olympic T-shirt. “OK, Emily and men! I was just being useful with the donut duty. My real job is as a Trainer here at the Olympic Center and I’ve been assigned to you for the day. We have a lot to do, so let’s get going!” Everyone piled off the bus and followed Max, who was leading the way with Emily, into the Center.
