In the middle of the festivities, Chris Harrison arrived and gathered everyone for one of his famous announcements. “I’m glad to see you all enjoying yourselves tonight. This is quite a shin-dig! First of all, I need to remind the members of Team 5 that you are scheduled for a one-one-one date tomorrow night. If you haven’t already done so, you each need to let me know who you will be dating and what kind of a date you are planning, so that we can make all of the arrangements. Secondly, as I promised, I am pleased to announce the Prize for our Second Place Team, Team 2. On Saturday night, the members of Team 2 will be attending a Movie Premiere and each member should invite a date.” Team 2 cheered and clapped, along with the crowd. With his announcement completed, Chris said goodbye, “Now, enjoy the rest of your evening!”

Filling their plates with the
delicious pulled pork bbq sandwiches, southwestern baked beans and potato salad
hawaiian, the twins got a 'ribbing' from the athletes in the group. Lucky for
the girls they could eat endlessly and never seem to gain any weight. That was
a real plus when they helped out at their grandparent's restaurant back home
over the years. But they also were usually on the go and physically fit and so
burned off what they consumed. By the time Amelia arrived to dine with the
girls they had polished off their dinner and were on the search for cake.
"Did you girls make the rolls for the sandwiches? They're amazing,"
Amelia drooled never taking her eyes from her sandwich. "Yep-they're a Hawaiian
version of sourdough with a pineapple twist. Nunna's specialty and our
fav," Penny replied. "Well where's the pineapple? I mean it doesn't
taste like pineapple but it has a sort of sweet and sour taste-really yummy
though," Amelia added in between gulps. "That's the secret
ingredient-but we are sworn to keep it forever locked away from outsiders'
eyes, haha" Jen confided to Amelia. Meanwhile Penny spied the dessert cart
and went over to pick out a slice of the Italian wedding cake for each of the
three girls at their table. On the way back she asked the server to bring by
three cups of the Kona Roast coffee to accompany the cake. By the time Penny
arrived back at the table they were joined by Mehreen, Joe, M, and Bill. They
could see Troy and Corey talking to a few of the other bachettes and Penny was
not so happy about that little bit of news. As she pointed this out to Jen,
Troy turned around and clearly saw Penny pointing at him and he chuckled at the
gesture. "I knew it Corey! The twins are just waiting for us to go over
and ask them to dance," Troy nodded. "Well let's go over there,"
Corey suggested as he stood up. "Ugh-I can't believe Troy caught me! Great
timing," Penny said shaking her head. "Don't forget Penny. We have a
little surprise for those two, and they will get theirs!" Before the twin
men got to the table, Sam came by to grab Amelia for a dance and she was
whisked away before she could even get a bite of the cake. "Um-hi
Sam," she stammered. "Don't forget-I get first and last dance with
you tonight Amelia. And maybe a few more in between too," Sam whispered as
he led her onto the dance floor. "By the way-you look beautiful in pink.
Sweet and soft just like you are," he said as he kissed her hair. She
could tell he was a great dancer as they moved to the beat of the Beach Boy
song. Not one that she was very familiar with but fun nonetheless. She felt
secure and happy in his arms and just as she was making herself more
comfortable than she should be, Sam swept her away for a walk on the beach, or
so she thought...

Lindsey was absolutely in love with
the Italian wedding cake. She was no great cook but she could tell by taste
what a few of the ingredients were. She surmised by the name of it that Jen or
Penny had a hand in making it and she was very curious as to its origins.
"Jenarosa-did you make this wonderfully tasty cake," Lindsey asked as
she rounded the table to speak with the twins. "Actually Penny is the
baker of this beauty," Jen chuckled. "But it is our grandmother's
recipe-again with a twist from the original you'd expect if you ordered it in
an Italian restaurant." Lindsey gave Cliff a taste from her plate as he
suddenly appeared out of nowhere. She had to say that she missed him and was
glad to see his smiling face and she fed him another bite. "Nunna loves
pineapple and found many recipes that she tweaked to bring it more in line with
Italian cooking. She was always taking Hawaiian specialties and giving them an
Italian flair, haha," Penny continued her explanation. "In this case
I used macadamia nuts instead of pecans. And I added a bit of mango to the
coconut and pineapple to give it more island appeal. The spices I used are,
again, Nunna's secret and so i can't share that here," she gestured to the
cameras. "But it is the cake we will enjoy at our wedding-yes-our double
wedding," Penny added with a twinkle in her eyes. Jen laughed and her face
turned crimson since Troy and Corey were seated near her and in on the
conversation. Lucky for her, Sam chose this time to announce that Karaoke hour
would begin soon. "Anyone who has 'changes' to make to their attire should
do so now," as he looked directly at the twin men Corey and Troy, "or
lose your spot on the program, haha!" Corey and Troy both groaned as they
left to change into 'costume' and that made the twins Jen and Penny very
happy-giddy even. Sam came over to drag Amelia off again, as she had escaped
him the first time he tried to talk her into putting on her costume.
"C'mon Sam! You're not playing fair! I don't think I even have the right
undergarments to wear with that thing," she whined anew. "Amelia-you
struck me as a very fun and spontaneous woman! Don't disappoint me now
honey," Sam coaxed with just the right amount of sugar on top. How was she
ever going to get her way with him she wondered if she couldn't even hold her
ground with this measly situation. "Well okay Sam but yours better be just
as revealing as mine," she acquiesced, pulling him close for a smoldering
kiss. Sam was shocked at first but as he sank into the kiss he vaguely
remembered some cheers and some woohoos coming from somewhere...

Chip, can’t wait to see those acts! I’ve got a couple ready to go, too, but my hubby and I are leaving for a movie soon! I can post later tonight! Lubs, S&T

As dusk set in, Spin and Marty took a stroll down to the beach. The path was lit by the Tiki torches Greg had so thoughtfully provided. The moon hung over the ocean like a silver ball. “It’s a beautiful night,” said Spin. “Perfect!” said Marty. “Hmmmm,” Spin murmured, turning Marty to face him. He looked down at her luminous eyes, her turned up nose, and her soft lips. Spin smiled and bent his head down, taking his time to give Marty a long, lingering kiss, and then stated, “Now, it’s perfect! The couple sighed, gazing out over the ocean. Then Spin said reluctantly, “Hey, I guess we’d better get back. We’ll never live it down if we miss that Karaoke Contest!”

Nobody was volunteering to perform
first for the Karaoke Contest, so Sam and Amelia decided to take one for the
team and find their places. The lights in the ballroom were turned down and the
door opened to the pool. The dry ice was activated and suddenly as Sam cued the
music he stepped out dressed in tight black pants and no shirt, moving to the
rhythm of the song and began: "Mum mum mum muh, Mum mum mum muh, Mum mum
mum muh..." And then all eyes were on the pool as Amelia emerged through
the fog and she stepped out of the pool. Dresses in a skintight vinyl long
sleeved onsie, she moved toward Sam and sang to the music: "I wanna hold
em like they do in Texas Plays; Fold em let em hit me, raise it baby stay with
me, I love it; luck and intuition play the cards with spades to start; And
after he's been hooked I'll play the one that's on his heart." Sam and
Amelia have captured the absolute attention of everyone in the villas with the
Lady Gaga tune 'Pokerface'. As they danced around each other, and Sam singing
"She's got to love nobody" around Amelia's lyrics "Can't read my
pokerface papapa-pokerface, papa-pokerface" the dynamics of the song built
up as did the tension between the two performers. Amelia pulled off her ebony
onesie showing off her glistening tan in the cerulean blue one
piece-onetinypiece-bathing suit under. Sam was now sporting a real mankini in
black-not green-as the couple embraced and then kissed at the end of the song
and disappeared into the fog. Amelia was now turning twenty shades of red as
the crowd went wild and she and Sam had to return to the 'stage' to take a bow.
But this time she wrapped herself in the beach towel that Sam had obligingly
handed her at the last minute. As the crowd showed their appreciation by
clapping for what seemed to be 10 minutes, Amelia asked Sam the one question
that had been gnawing at her since before they began to sing: "How did you
pull this off-the music, the clothes, the dry ice-everything?"
"Oh-didn't I tell you that I was in the lady Gaga video?" Amelia just
dropped her jaw and shook her head no-too stunned to speak. "Um, yeah. I
was the guy with Gaga. The one that ends up in the Joe Boxers at the end of the
video. Hmmm-I could have sworn I told you that already," Sam trailed off
with an impish grin as they left the stage...

Oh, Boy, Chip! There seems to be a lot of talent among the Bachelors and Bachelorettes of Bachelor Survivor! I suggest that everyone sings along (at least in your head for the next two acts! Ha! Lubs, S&T

For her Karaoke act, Michelle had changed into a costume she had used in college and was now very glad she had bothered to take the trouble to bring. She wore a form-fitting pink
sweater tucked into a flared, gray flannel skirt that was fluffed out with layers of crinolines and decorated with a black poodle. Her brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she was the epitome of the All American Girl from the ‘50s. Michelle crossed the stage in her saddle shoes and bobby socks, carrying a chair that she put down center stage, and picked up the mike, “Hi, Everyone! I’m going to need a volunteer from the audience so I can sing this song and only one guy will do! Johnny, come on up!” Johnny was surprised! He wasn’t a singer, but the crowd started clapping in unison and calling “John-ny . . . John-ny . . . John-ny!” Johnny felt his face getting red, but he walked up to the stage, where Michelle was waiting and sat down in the chair as she directed him. The music started and instantly the crowd knew why she had needed Johnny.

When the intro had passed Michelle came in with a sweet, shy, flirty voice and sang at first to the audience, looking longingly at Johnny:

You're an Angel to me.

Johnny Angel, how I love him.
He's got something I can't resist,
but he doesn't even know that I exist.

As Michelle continued singing, she crossed the stage area and moved behind Johnny’s chair. Johnny was totally bemused by suddenly becoming the center of attention.

Johnny Angel, how I want him.
How I tingle when he passes by.
Every time he says "Hello" my heart begins to fly.

Michelle leaned forward, wrapping her arms around Johnny’s shoulders and putting her head next to his.

I remember how I get carried away.
I dream of him and me, and how it's gonna be.

She pulled back and stepped to his side, singing:

Other fellas call me up for a date,
but I just sit and wait, I'd rather concentrate ...

Michelle sat down sideways on Johnny’s lap and continued singing:

... on Johnny Angel.
'Cause I love him.
And I pray that someday he'll love me.
And together we will see how lovely heaven will be.

At the end of the song Michelle kissed Johnny playfully on the lips and he looked totally smitten, as the crowd broke out in applause.

When it was his turn, Bill had written his own version of Lou Bega’s Mambo Number Five. From the moment the music started, he had a captive audience.

One, two, three, four, five,

Everybody in the Clubhouse

Let’s go for a ride.....

He cut the song off at that point and began to dance, rolling his shoulders and rocking back and forth with mambo moves as he started the Chorus:

A little bit of Mehreen in my life,
A little bit of Carrie by my side.
A little bit of Amy's all I need,
A little bit of Toni's all I see.
A little bit of Lindsey in the sun,
A little bit of Mimi all night long.
A little bit of Jenny here I am,
A little bit of you makes me your man!!!!!!!!
Mambo number five.

As Bill sang and danced, he managed to make eye contact with each girl when he mentioned her name, sometimes including appropriate gestures. Bill was the man of the moment and totally in his element.

Jump up and down and move it all around.
Shake your head to the sound,

Put your hands on the ground.
Take one step left and one step right.
One to the front and one to the side.
Clap your hands once and clap your hands twice
And if it look like this then you're doing it right.

A little bit of Mehreen in my life,
A little bit of Renee by my side.
A little bit of Marty's all I need,
A little bit of Faith is all I see.
A little bit of Marlee in the sun,
A little bit of Michelle all night long.
A little bit of Emily here I am,
A little bit of you makes me your man!!!!!!!!

The standard Bridge of trumpet music was playing while Bill danced around, showing off his amazing repertoire of sexy, dance skills, then began to sing again.

Mambo number five, ha, ha, ha.

A little bit of Mehreen in my life,
A little bit of Bryanne by my side.
A little bit of Rayne's all I need,
A little bit of M is all I see.
A little bit of Pamela in the sun,
A little bit of Kathleen all night long.
A little bit of Penny here I am,
A little bit of you makes me your man!!!!!!!!

He ended with the “outro”:

I do all to fall in love with a girl like you.
Cause you can't run and you can't hide.
You and me gonna touch the sky.
Mambo number five.

The Clubhouse went wild in response to Bill’s outstanding display of personality and musicality. Suddenly, everyone knew who Bill was!

When questioned later by an admiring group of Bachelorettes, Bill admitted that he had been on Star Search when he was a boy as a singing contestant and had made it to the semi-finals. "I lost to a young lady named Christina Aguilera!" He also had been a regular in his High School plays and in Princeton University musical productions. “Now, I just sing for fun.” He said. On the edge of the circle, Mehreen and Faith both were feeling their hearts pull towards Bill, particularly after that performance.

Brad appeared on stage, handsome as

Brad then says "Let's all sing

late, great Louie Armstrong. Everybody sang the song several times.
The group then ended with Mack the Knife.

We continue.......

Jackson then steps up to the
mike. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I now give you "Ebony and
Ivory", entering the stage dressed in all white is Brad, dressed in all
black is Kathleen. They are holding hands, looking into one another's
eyes, love is sparking between them. They sing the Paul McCartney -
Michael Jackson hit. It is so beautiful, their voices blend so
beautiful. In the background playing the guitar is Renee, playing piano
is Ross, our too very talented musicians. The song ends, everybody
applauds.

................................

Mark and Marlee had decided not to
be part of the group. Mark had asked Marlee to take a walk with him, so
they had gone down to the beach with a basket of food and a blanket to sit
on. They were going to have their own private picnic. Mark had
wanted this time alone with Marlee for he had made a big decision about the
Bachelor/Bachelorette. After a quiet snack of cucumber sandwiches,
cheese, crackers, grapes, and a piece of the delicious Italian Wedding cake,
Mark took Marlee's hand. "Marlee, I've made a decision to leave the
show. I've talked with Chris, and he said that would be fine. I
don't need to search any more, Marlee. I've had nice conversations with
many of the girls, all are wonderful, pretty, but there's only one girl I'm
truly interested in, Marlee, that's you. I know this is crazy and sudden,
we've only known each other a few days, but I'm thinking, why look any more
when what I want and need is sitting right here by my side. I'm falling
head over heels in love with you Marlee." He looks into her eyes,
leans over and kisses her softly. Tears form in Marlee's eyes, she
smiles. "Mark, I came here thinking I'll just meet some great guys,
some not so great, have a good time, maybe have a connection, then see what
happens." Well what happened to me was also meeting a great guy who
has knocked me for a loop, a beautiful, amazing loop." She reaches
her hand to his face, smiles and continues, "I'm falling for you too,
Mark. And, I know I don't have these feelings for any of the other
guys. The amazing thing is that I, too, spoke with Chris and told him I
would like to leave. Of course, my excuse was I miss my horses, especially
"Midnight Blew", who by the way is expecting her first foal, who I
already have a name for, "Midnight Magic" just how I feel right now,
magical, wonderful, excited and eager to take a certain guy to meet my parents,

brothers and sisters and I hope he will take me to meet his family."

"Ah Marlee, I want you to meet
my little sister and my other brothers and sisters. I want you to see my
ranch, I want to see your horses and especially meet "Midnight
Blew.". I'm ready anytime you are. "Let's go then, let's
go" smiles Marlee.

Okay, S&T, Travy, Chip, Silver,
I've finished; I'll keep Mark and Marlee until the rose ceremony, then they
will be leaving. I may have a few more things to write about during the
BBQ. If I do and you all get ahead of me, I'll maybe do a
flashback. I have a cold, so missed church, going back to bed for right
now. Lub, Mackey

Awesome
songs ladies!! And yes we do have quite a bit of talent amongst our bach/ettes!
How fun to read about these performances!haha Smile

Sam and Amelia could not walk
anywhere around the BBQ without someone whistling, woohooing or cheering their
performance. Amelia removed the blond wig and stiletto boots so she could get
comfortable and enjoy the other acts. So far she loved them all and hoped
someone was 'taping' this for future reference. Who knew that Sam was so hot
under that shirt of his. She was a little sad that he had to cover his abs back
up but it probably was a good idea. She didn't want to encourage more adulation
from his newfound fanbase. The lights dimmed again as the music was cued up for
the next act. Amelia let out a squeak when she saw them walk in-Troy and Corey
dressed all in black-tight pants and sleeveless tees, blond hair darker and
slicked back. The music began: "Sandy? I got chills, they're multiplyin',
and I'm losin' control; Cause the power you're supplyin' It's electrifyin'!"
The crowd immediately recognized this song from "Grease." And then in
walked Jen and Penny-dressed like Sandy-blond curly wigs spikey sandals and
all. They sashayed up to their twin counterparts and taunted back: "You
better shape up! Cause I need a man and my heart is set on you; You better
shape up! You better understand, To my heart I must be true. Nothin' left,
nothin' left for me to do!" Both couples wound their way through the
metallic maze set up as their backdrop and continued singing to each other:
"You're the one that I want! Ooh ooh ooh honey! You're the one that I
want! Ooh ooh ooh honey! You're the one that I want! Oh yes inde-e-ed!" As
the couples danced on to the Shake Shack singing back and forth along the way,
the two "Sandy"s looked over their shoulders and squarely into
Corey's and Troy's eyes, wagging their fingers for the come on: "If you're
filled with affection, You're too shy to convey, Meditate in my direction-Feel
your way!" Suddenly as the girls walked away from the boys, both Corey and
Troy felt the pull-a real pull toward the 'women of their dreams'. They felt
helpless against that current and so they chased them back and the melody
continued. Troy looked at Jen and sang: "I better shape up, cause you need
a man," Jen replied "I need a man that can keep me satisfied!"
And Corey jumped in" "I better shape up if I'm gonna prove,"
Penny sang back: "You better prove that my faith is justified..."
Men: "Are you sure?" Women: "Yes I'm sure down deep
inside..." Troy claimed Jen's hand and pulled her close as Corey did the
same to Penny and they ended on the chorus of "You're the one that I want
the one that I want! OOH ooh ooh honey! You're the one that I want, the one the
one that I want! Ooh ooh ooh honey! The one that I want the one that I want. Oh
yes inde-e-ed..." Lights dimming and fade to black...

Chip, that was perfection!

Amy and Jesse had a good time at the Barbeque. The food was delicious! They ate together, danced a little, watched the Karaoke Show, and were glad not to be on the stage
themselves! “I could never do that,” said Amy. “I’m tone deaf,” said Jesse. What a shame, thought Amy, for a guy who looked like he could be one of the Beatles! But at this point, that didn’t matter. She liked Jesse for who he was, not what he looked like. They joined Johnny and Michelle for a late snack of more of that delicious wedding cake. “Michelle, you were great!” Jesse said with admiration. Amy nodded in agreement. “Thanks, Jesse. That was fun!” said Michelle. “Fun?” said Amy, “That would be my idea of torture!” Michelle laughed. “I’ve always enjoyed singing and dancing.” Johnny pulled Michelle close to his side and gave her a butterfly kiss on the ear. “I’m glad all I had to do was sit and look like a dummy!” They all laughed.

You all are working magic putting words and songs to
the keyboard! I would like to stay and
play, but work calls, due to some major things this week. I know we need to move along, finish out this
romantic night, and get on to Friday night. So do. I'll jump in when I can.

Love to you all, and a shout out to all our Bachelors and
Bachelorettes in Coronado on this romantic star-lit, moon-lit night!

Silver, thanks for checking in! We’ll keep moving along and you can always add some flashbacks if you need to! Bryanne, Rayne, Pamela, Toni, Roman, Martin, Leo, and Will all seem to be having a ball at the Barbeque! Ha! Hope you can join us soon, S&T

Faith was determined to have some “Bill time.” She crossed to the bar, where he was getting a beer. “Is there one of those for me?” she asked. “Sure enough,” he said, reaching into the tub of ice and pulling out a Heineken. “Is this good?” “Perfect!” she said, smiling. “You know, I’d like to hear that story about you growing up in a hotel some time.” He looked over at Faith. She was lovely, but he had been planning to find Mehreen. Glancing over Faith’s shoulder, he saw that Mehreen was talking with Greg. He liked Greg. Greg was a great guy, but Bill couldn’t help be a little jealous that Mehreen would be out on a date with him the next night. He made a quick decision, “Ok, Faith, let’s find someplace to talk!”

Mehreen was talking to Greg about their date the next night. He still wanted to keep it a surprise, but told her there was no need to dress up and that jeans would be fine for what they would be doing. Mehreen had wanted to talk to Bill, but she saw that he and Faith were just sitting down to have a chat by the pool, so she stayed with Greg.

All good things must come to an end and the Barbeque was officially over at 1AM. The Bachelors and Bachelorettes knew they would have another day off tomorrow, but most of the day would be spent resting. Of course, those lucky ones from Team 5, who had a date the next night, would be busy figuring out what to wear. And Team 2 members would be deciding who to invite to that Movie Premiere on Saturday night and wondering just what movie they would be seeing.

Lindsey and Cliff had remained
inseparable for the rest of the karaoke night and even Cliff was surprised that
she didn't mingle much with the others. He was beginning to sense the rhythm of
this very new relationship and was getting the impression from Lindsey that he
could be a little quieter and more reflective than he normally would let
himself be. Maybe that was because self-reflection often left him unimpressed
with his own antics, and more aware of his short comings than he wanted to be.
And so they ate, danced and enjoyed the very exotic surroundings in a quietude
that belied his thumping heart. This was definitely something new for him he
realized after saying goodnight to Lindsey. A peck on the cheek was his signal
for goodbye and that was unusual as well. Cliff didn't have to act like the
Romeo that he truly wasn't and that was a relief that he did not expect. Why
was this girl affecting him this way he wondered? Whatever it was about her he
wanted to figure this one out and he really could not get the vision of her in
the soft lavender and pink chemise out of his head...

Friday, dawned a beautiful, sunny California day and all seemed right in the world of Bachelor Survivor. Everyone slept in as late as they wanted after the Barbeque the night before. As they awoke, it was time for individual reflection on the ABC experience and most of the Bachelors and Bachelorettes were enjoying the journey and feeling grateful for the opportunity. Joe awoke early and headed for the kitchen, ready to start making breakfast for the men, something that had already become a routine duty for him. He didn’t mind. It was a labor of love. However, he was one of the Bachelors that was finding Bachelor Survivor a less than satisfying experience. He just wasn’t feeling a connection with anyone and the more he saw the others find a special someone or two, the more he thought of his ex-girlfriend. So far, in his 26 years, Maria had been the love of his life. They had met in Home Economics in High School. She couldn’t boil water and had leaned on him, as her Home Ec partner, in their little set-style kitchen to help her get a good grade. That had led to a blooming romance and a long-term relationship that had lasted through college at the University of Florida. However, once college was over, Maria had felt the call of Broadway. She had been a Theatre and Dramatic Arts major and wanted to try to trip the Light Fantastic in New York. Joe had the great job offer at Miami Heat and felt he couldn’t turn it down. Joe also felt that if Maria made it in New York, he could eventually relocate there, once he had some respectable skills in the culinary world. Now, he was wondering, what had he been thinking? There were tons of good restaurants in New York. Maria had found enough work over the past three years to keep her there. In the midst of making a batch of Belgium waffles, Joe suddenly knew he had to go to New York!

After a fun night of good food,
dancing and romancing, M awoke to a knock on their door. Mimi went to
answer the door, there was a message for M; it was requested that she join
Jesse for breakfast; he had permission from Chris to meet with her. Her
reply was that she would meet Jesse at 8am for breakfast. Hurrying to get
dressed and armed with a determination to finally speak up for herself, M was
eager to get this over with.

Awaiting her was Jesse, dressed in
tan slacks, a red buttoned shirt, standing so handsome next to his Jaguar; he
smiled and opened the passenger door for M. "I had a seat ready for
us at a little cafe in the village just down the road." Jesse spoke as he closed
the door. As he seated himself in the drivers seat, he turns at looks at
lovely M, who is dressed in a light blue sun dress, white sandals, and a little
cap to keep her damp hair from going frizzy. She's cute as a bug.
After a silent short drive, they enter the cafe and is seated in the back where
there is quiet and no one nearby. They each order coffee and M orders a
bran muffin, Jesse bacon, eggs, toast and a large glass of orange juice, his
usual fare. M always ordered his breakfast to be delivered to his office,
many times making his breakfast herself.

As they ate, Jesse kept looking at M
to see if he could figure out what she was thinking. She had with her a
thick envelope, clutching it close to her. "So, M. what do you have
there?" "It's a letter to me Mr. Jacobi," M.
replies. "So, are you going to share it with me or is it
personal." "Yes, it's personal, but I intend to share it with
you, Mr. Jacobi.,' she looks at him questioning how to continue. She
decides to jump right in. "This is my future, this is what I have
been hoping and working for all my life. It's from a publishing company
who is offering me a contract to write children's short stories, with books in
the future, possible tv shows of my work." Jesse looks
surprised. "What did you say? A contract, a book, television, what
are you talking about, M?" M looks down, then looks right into
Jesse's eyes. "Mr. Jacobi, I hereby quit my job." I am
moving to New York in a few weeks to start my new career, author of children's stories."
There she said it! "Oh, no you don't, M. No, no, no, you're not
quitting, you're not leaving me, I'm not allowing it. Now what I
came to do is to help you pack and take you back with me where you
belong. You don't belong here among all these guys who you don't even
know, who is interested in what they can get from a girl and nothing more. That
said, let's get going." He stands and turns for M to follow him. M
remains seated. "No, Mr. Jacobi, I'm not going to pack and I'm not
going back with you. I've just informed you that I quit, I no longer work
for you, Mr. Jacobi. I have spoken with Linda, your other secretary, and
she is willing to step in and take over until you find someone to take her
place. She is excellent, you've said so yourself and she's very capable
of taking my place, plus she knows everything going on, there will be no
training for her."

Jesse is angry, very angry.
"Well, Missy, we'll see about that." We have a contract too in
case you don't remember, and that contract states that you give me a three
months notice before you leave. Do you remember that, M? No, you're
not going anywhere." "It's for two weeks, Mr.Jacobi, not three
months, and I'm well aware of the contract. Plus it also says in the
contract that if at any time I feel you have not fulfilled your contract with
me, I can leave at any time. And, we know you have not honored your side
of the contract, Mr. Jacobi." M is just as angry; she's finally standing
up for herself.
