Bachelor in Paradise...new season

Absolutely Jordan thrives on stuff like that, he always has. It’s like he tries to provoke people. I just think he thought there would be words exchanged between him and Christian and not necessarily a physical fight. He IS entertaining, him AND Demi. I’ll give them that. Lol

As to Hannah, I think Tayshia had every right to question her about the meeting leading up to BIP since Blake involved her after arriving there. Hannah seems to be deflecting by telling her she is attacking her and mean girling her. Tayshia at no time started raising her voice or anything of that nature. I just don’t agree with these people meeting up ahead of time and then bringing it to Paradise. It’s not fair to the people coming in that haven’t done that. Hannah said she thought it would be best to explore her and Blake and a possible relationship while there. I disagree. Now there is an expectation there between the two of them that they are involving other people in.

I agree about the pre BIP relationships, but in this group it would be impossible to pick people who don't know each other because they all co-mingle all the time. The producers even create events for that purpose. CH even said in his interview they knew who was seeing who and they purposely put them on the show like puppets knowing there will be friction. This is actually a pretty sick show. lol

Dean's looking closer to his dad LOL.  Dean said some alarming things and Caelynn is still here for it  :O.  At least it looks like Dean is showing his true self.   CH tells Dean he looks like he might be shooting videos in the Valley. He thinks Dean looks like a maker of porn videos lol.  

Yeah, they invited certain people there to let the drama unfold, which is why Blake should have expected Caelynn and Kristina to be there.  And Annaliese was likely only invited on BIP to start drama about Clay.

Nicole loves being the "bachelorette of paradise" and I don't think she should try to change Clay into being more aggressive, or even assertive because they mix up the two words.  I thought Clay handled it the best out of all the people involved.  Christian is insufferable and not appealing at all, even on a date.  He's ridiculous and thinks after coming back from his date, he can continue his date for the rest of the night. At least Nicole eventually told Christian that she has a connection with Clay and wants to catch up with him.

In the preview it looks like Christian and Jordan are physically separated, Christian calls him a bi*** and then runs toward Jordan.   Well that's not going to end well, and in the preview Christian is tackled by security.  If he and Jordan are sent home because of the fighting, Nicole will have an easy time deciding who to give a rose to.  

Then Jordan and Demi might not have their hilarious scenes together anymore.  They should host a podcast together or something. lol.  I heard even Chad has one. Ugh

Why Blake asked Tayshia out instead of Hannah:  I don't know, perhaps he felt more secure with his and Hannah's connection after they kissed in Alabama but didn't know exactly what his and Tayshia's connection was, so he asked Tayshia out.  Or maybe he felt he could always charm Hannah again at BIP, so he asked Tayshia out instead.  I think his being F2 and approached by a lot of girls after Becca's season kind of went to his head.

It's almost as if from what Hannah told Tayshia, that Blake asked her not to tell anyone at BIP about their meeting in Alabama.  She said Blake coming to Birmingham was a "private thing" and she didn't tell anyone out of respect for him, but she should have told Dylan  and maybe never would have told him had he not questioned her about what's up.

I'm wondering if Dean is doing the equivalent of what some young kids do when they trek off to Europe for a year before they go back to school, except he is doing it in this country and he said he wants to visit the national parks.  Caelynn had a funny look on her when he told her he washes himself in rivers and lakes.

In the clips, I thought Christian was running from Jordan.  Well, maybe I saw it wrong.  Wishful thinking on my part.

Raise your hand if you're yearning for a road trip in Dean's van.

Skt8word, I also find it odd that Nicole said she wished Clay would be more aggressive or assertive considering when he tried to do that by approaching her and Christian and stealing her away, she acted like it was an imposition. I hope Christian is made to leave, but if they did that they would almost have to ask Jordan to leave as well.

IMO there are more more male and female ho's this season than ever before. I think this is the worst season of BIP..JMO

Just thought I’d post this. We already know about the majority of what’s in their contracts but apparently some people still think that this show is really not scripted even though it basically is when the producers steer the direction of what happens. It has been super obvious that they have a say in who stays. It is also in their contracts that the lead agrees to follow all of producers rules, directions and instructions in all matters. Yet they got upset by the show Unreal saying there was no truth which we all know is a lie. What I didn’t know was that the lead can quit the entire season at any point...but you know that won’t happen because then they’ll lose the money. We also know that they have to make it look like they are unsure of who to choose in the end. That is such crap. Lol. It was also well known that the leads and contestants are not supposed to talk about what happened until the season has aired. We all know that hasn’t always been adhered to. What I don’t agree with is that under their clause about ABC maintaining exclusive TV rights to their leads that they allowed many male leads to go on DWTS but prevented Kaitlyn Bristowe from competing. Apparently Mike Fleiss said he didn’t want his contestants looking for fame. LMAO! Is he living in a dream state? Every one of them are looking for fame. What a dumb reason!

I think everyone has a different opinion as to how much the show is scripted and it's really subjective.  I personally don't think every little step everyone takes on the show is scripted.  The show may be scripted according to what is going on in the moment and what direction the show is going in according to people on the show, but then it gets exaggerated by the media because that's what people like to do.  It would make sense that the producers would do some steering of the show to make it more interesting, but I don't think every little step is scripted.  They probably embellish certain situations.  Isn't Mike Fleiss gone now?  So maybe she can try and get on DWTS.

Exactly right, rkc.  Steering describes it perfectly.  They do those personal interviews and ask them leading questions then edit them so it looks like they say certain things.  They ask them their worst fears then set up a situation where they have to face the fear.  They create situations they know will be awkward, set up group dates with people who don't get along with each other, etc.  No, it's not a written script, but they do control how things will go.

Lately it seems to have a theme of already being in another relationship before the show. Jed, Blake, Caelynn, Kristina, Tayshia, and now Demi too, all entangled before the show. The producers know all this and count on it causing drama. Tanner Tolbert compared Demi to Jed and he has a good point. How is she any different going on the show knowing she has somebody else at home? Yet Jed is a jerk and they are all defending Demi. And since I brought up Demi, I don't like how they are turning this into her 'coming out' party.

They want to make the show more interesting.  That's what it sounds like.  The show has been on a long time and they may think people will get easily bored. 

They may not think that Demi's girlfriend counts because they are same sex.  I don't know.  Maybe they don't take it seriously.  And Demi is on BIP and Jed was on Bachelorette.  I think Demi is a good story arc and unusual.  I'm sure a lot of people watching may appreciate it being the first time something like this has been on the show and many people can relate to her.  I think it's refreshing for a change, something other than what usually goes on and Demi's feelings for both her girlfriend and Derek seem very sincere and something she is struggling with.  I like the story line.

I wouldn't mind if Mike were Bachelor, but I didn't think they picked people from BIP.  I don't know if this is real or a joke.  If they wanted Mike as bachelor, why is he on BIP?  They could just make him bachelor.

This pic kind of goes along with how things are manipulated. Harrison has said they are waiting to announce the next bachelor until after BIP because someone on BIP could stand out to be the bachelor. Mike was a contender right after Hannah's season. If he behaves himself and doesn't hook up on BIP he is in the running. Of course losing Caelynn to someone else or not finding anyone on BIP will only add to his likeability. CH has said Tyler has put himself out of the running by hooking up with Gigi Hadid. Peter could still be a possibility or maybe someone else from BIP. Stay tuned.

If Mike has to watch himself so closely, he shouldn't have gone on BIP.

They bent the rules for Demi.  They wanted her on the show, and according to CH, she presented the idea of having a same sex relationship on the show to producers.  CH talked about it in interviews, and he's proud of the way they handled the storyline.  I think Demi's situation is most like Scott's.  Not like Jed who kept it secret that he had a girl back home all the way to the end of the season and beyond.  Scott, who ironically was "found out" by Demi on episode one, was dating a girl back home and he never broke it off before going on the show and Demi got a message that Scott intended to take a trip with the girl whenever his time on the season ends.  Demi said on the BIP show that she has been casually dating a woman and it's not exclusive.  They didn't end it before she went on the show.  The storyline is interesting and different, but I don't think they should keep bending the rules depending on who they want on the show and depending on what the storyline is.  So I don't think Demi should get a free pass.  I think many people elsewhere don't want to be too hard on Demi because it was hard for her to come out when she did, as it is for most in the community.  

BIP couple Kevin and Astrid from last year were on ABC recently and were asked whether the rules are different for BIP.   Blake's friend Kevin said Blake broke the contract when he was seeing women before the show, women who will be competing on BIP.  Astrid also said it is a rule that they don't date someone before they go on the show, who will compete on the show.  According to Astrid, the rule applies not only to Bachelor/ette seasons but also BIP.    

Yes, it's a very scripted reality show.  Also, there was a scene during the bachelor season where Tayshia said to Colton "Bird box" as in the movie Bird Box, but at the time of filming that scene, the movie Bird Box had not come out yet.  So why would Tayshia say that.  So not only is it scripted, but they also use what's called franketbiting to make it look like they say words that they never did at any point in time.  But it was a harmless, humorous scene, so my guess is Tayshia wasn't bothered by it.

They are going to gauge the audience's reaction to Mike Johnson's appearance on BIP to help them decide who will be next bachelor.   I saw an interview a few weeks ago where CH had said they will announce who will be bachelor at the end of BIP, or even during the airing of BIP season.  They picked bachelors from BIP in the past, i.e. Colton and Nick.  Mike wasn't a contender for bachelor when they filmed his appearance on BIP, but he is now, has been for a little while.  (They started filming BIP in June, which was early in the airing of the bachelorette season  and long before he was being considered for bachelor.)

Being scripted doesn’t necessarily mean you learn lines from a script. It is also when scenes are being manipulated by others to make you do and say things that might not normally have happened.

I agree that it is a double standard that they criticize others for having relationships back home before going on these shows but have chosen to give Demi a free pass because of the story line. So I am assuming that the previews they’ve been showing of Demi hooking up with a female is not her doing it with anyone from the Bachelor Bubble but them bringing Demi’s woman back home onto the show. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with Demi liking guys and girls, but I don’t feel like sitting here watching the “Demi Show” for the rest of this season same as they inflicted Luke on us during Hannah’s season. From what has been revealed so far it was premeditated that this was going to be brought into this season of BIP and unless they brought Derek into the planning of it then it was unfair to have Demi get involved with him.

It's obvious the Demi story line was planned. There was no reason for Hannah B. to show up there to see if Demi was ok. As soon as they were done with Blake they moved on to Demi. Demi did tell Derrek there might be someone else, so that is a plus to be up front about it, but, as she said, she downplayed it. That's definitely not fair to Derrek. So now I guess they bring in Kristian and make Derrek watch the two of them together just like Blake watching Hannah and Dylan. Blake deserves the misery, but Derrek has been nothing but kind and this is a big slap in the face.

Kristina is looking like a bunny boiler. I think by the end of this she will have a lot of people, both fans and bach people, disliking her.

I don't think it's completely been the Demi show.  There have been other story lines.  I don't know if they are completely done with Blake yet as we have seen from tomorrow's clips.

I think BIP shouldn't be the place for Demi to figure herself out.   I believe production really wanted her on the show, so this was the only way to get her.  But it's still bad that Demi downplayed her relationship with this other woman Kristian.   I agree it's not fair to Derek.   It looks like the ending of the episode and previews may be building up to Demi going home next week to meet with Kristian ... maybe at a hotel?  The setting in one of the previews where they're sitting outside doesn't look familiar.

I think production may have encouraged Kristina to give her rose to Blake.  It reminded me of how last year Bibiana had the last rose  at a ceremony and gave it to somebody  which surprised other cast members.  Kristina seems mean in her PI; maybe they spliced some words together after filming.  

I hope Clay is not Nicole"s default choice.  If Christian hadn't been sent home (so glad that he was), it seems it would have been between Clay and Christian, and she might have picked Christian.  I think Clay's too good for her.
I kind of thought Onyeka should have given her rose to someone, like Cam out of friendship.  ABC Always Be Cryin'
