I have long been of the opinion that Sharna is the top choreographer on DWTS. But somehow, her usually razor sharp instincts led her astray for this dance. She played on the steamy aspects and it just didn't work. She and Bonner are an attractive pair but she needs to tone it down a notch. I know she will, this girl is way too savvy not to learn from those low scores. Let Gleb and Erika do the in your face sexually inviting dances.

I want to vote for Sharna and Bonner but I just couldn't this week.

Maybe because it's the beginning of the season and it was easier for her to go this route and then she will get into technique later in the show. Who knows? They also sometimes like to sex it up on this show, which isn't a judgment on my part.

I remember James Maslow saying he and Peta were basically told by the show runners turn up the heat and the sexual edginess. This could be what happened here.

Agree. I know Sharna says it was innocent and Bonner didn't know where hand was, but he was looking right at the TV screen and I think
he saw exactly where his hand was. I bet it doesn't happen again.

I agree that it won't happen again. It's even possible that even though Bonner may have been looking at the camera his mind might actually have been elsewhere--as in being overwhelmed by everything going on around him and not realizing where his hand went. Week 1 is always a stressful time for the stars.

I gave them a vote. They get the Viennese Waltz next week, and a romantic dance is a good idea in order to step away from the unexpected publicity they got this week.

What the f... You can tell something's wrong when the discussion isn't even focussed on the dancing. You could smell the rat in the package already. (Producer, "are you blushing?"- Sharna, "what are you talking about?")
I will always support her, but this first dance and its circumstances were embarrassing.

I'm not comparing him to Bonner here, bro. I was just so disappointed in Bonner's and Sharna's first dance that I wanted to reminisce with this lovely first dance.

Next week will tell the tale; do I relegate Bonner to also ran status or will I see some potential? If Sharna tones down the "aren't we hot" and teaches Bonner some basics I will be happy.

Let's consider it an accident and move on. Sharna thinks Bonner will do better in classical Ballroom than 'sexy Latin', so next Monday will really tell the truth. All the showmance ballyhoo might just root in a choreography spiced up by Sharna to make it work. At least I hope so. Did she maybe just remember Julianne's comment about 'more chemistry' in the Rumba last season, and how Gleb's AT had all judges drooling?

Bonner and Sharna will be dancing Viennese Waltz next week to Jennifer Nettles' song Unlove You.

Bonner and Rashad are the ones that get the Viennese Waltz next week, so it will be a potential country-style VW and a soulful VW. I hope after next week that Bonner and Sharna's songs will not be mostly country. I want to see them tackle other genres too.

I liked this better than last week. It was very simple and he's a bit stiff but I think now we are on the right road.
