Season 22 Cast Reveal

No big surprises to be honest, except that Emma is really out! Here's the entire line-up:

Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy, Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas, Misha Barton and Artem Chigvintsev, Jodie Sweetin and Keo Motsepe, Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgtroyd, Geraldo Rivera and Edyta Sliwinska, Doug Flutie and Karina Smirnoff, Von Miller and Witney Carson, Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess, Marla Maples and Tony Dovolani, Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold, Kim Fields and Sasha Farber.

Thank God they kept Lindsay in. Good luck everyone, and make it a great season!

So sorry that Emma is not there this season,LOVE her.

I don't know most of the cast so will have to see how they stack up.

Glad to see Karina though ... I wish TPTB would have some pro couples do some feature dances.

With most of the cast already revealed there wasn't much suspense. So sorry Emma isn't included. Glad to see Sasha getting another shot at it.

As I said before, my team is Doug Flutie and Karina and I have high hopes for them.

Just captured a video of GMA. Way too early for predictions, but some of them do have the moves, the pros all seem happy with their partners, and the couples appear to be good matches. Should be interesting to watch how they progress and what type of chemistry they have. So far I don't think anyone has reason to complain (except for Slater fans, apparently). Even Geraldo doesn't come across geriatric and seems to have a good sense of humor. The NFL may be slightly over-represented this season- I know Emmit and Hines won't agree there- and the spectrum of age is not as wide as e.g. with Sadie and Tommy or Willow and Patti, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Good morning! I haven't hobbled on to the computer room yet to watch the GMA reveal (always entertaining) but I have peeked at the cast. Know a good portion of them, surprisingly! I don't care how famous they are or even if I do know them....I'm just ready for some DWTS!

I'm with you on that one, sis. I'd really love to see Karina go further this time! Artem is back as well- really seems he had to step back last season due to one of Derek's last minute decisions...
I think it's also worth mentioning both Tom and Erin were missing on the announcement today. In Erin's case, it's probably due to the lawsuit (in which she was just awarded 55 Million USD) and the emotional rollercoaster it put her on. She even made the news in Germany this morning with the court sentence! Tom lost his mother a few months after his dad passed away, so it's more than understandable he was unable to appear on TV. Somehow it wasn't the same without them.

I feel a little sorry for Pita... Her first season back in the ballroom and she gets a hot guy who has very difficult issues. How do you teach a guy to lead who cant cue off the music. I have been wrong before.... Amy did great... Len sure wont go easy on them...

What makes our Lovely Ladies so special is their ability to make the guys look as if they were leading even if they don't. Plus a good pro will embrace the challenge. Derek did it, Sharna did it, and Peta herself seems happy with it too.

Glitters A I stand corrected. Dang auto correct I just think they would have stood a fairer chance without Len. Marlee has partial hearing and had a strong partner. I found it telling that P and her partner were not asked to take part in guess the dance move. He said though his interpreter he had never tried to dance.

I will be rooting for Nyle and Peta. Watched him on ANTM and he was pretty much the only nice person on the show. I'm glad he won and hope he does well in this too.

Marlee has partial hearing? I didn't know that. You don't think Peta is a strong partner? She won once.

Well .... too bad for us that she did.I figure we are going to hear about it at nauseam for as long as she is on the show.TPTB are like that ya know.

I read she has/had a radio show and that she does a lot of charity work.

In her bio on the abc website, Trump is only mentioned as being the last name of her daughter. If that sets the tone, there may be hope. Politics in general are a no go area for shows like this anyway.

Ok, thanks, but what I wrote was clearly related to GMA only. Both Tom and Erin have been confirmed to return for the upcoming season.
On the other hand, abc announced a lot of their shows- DWTS being one of them- will be 'renewed' for the fall. Whatever that means now.
