The couples will dance to the following songs:
Alek Skarlatos & Lindsay Arnold – "Holding Out For A Hero" by Ella Mae Bowen
Alexa PenaVega & Mark Ballas – "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay
Andy Grammer & Allison Holker – "Isn’t She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder
Bindi Irwin & Derek Hough – "Grace Kelly" by MIKA
Carlos PenaVega & Witney Carson – "Valio La Pena" by Marc Anthony
Nick Carter & Sharna Burgess – "Can’t Help Falling In Love" by Haley Reinhart
Tamar Braxton & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga
Nick -- Contemporary
Carlos -- Salsa
Bindi - Foxtrot
These we can guess from other info about what dance styles will be included:
Tamar - Paso
Alexa - Argentine Tango
Alek - Viennese Waltz
This one I have no idea:
Andy. He's dancing to "Isn't She Lovely" which he could do a foxtrot or cha cha to, but he's done both of those, so maybe it will be an Allison-engineered Waltz.
Psychee what does Allison engineered mean?

This is for anyone who did not see Maks "move like Jagger".......DeadManDancing wrote:........I'll never forget how Kirstie talked Maks into those tight pants... "Your junk is not gonna be out. That's not what this show is about". And yes, he had the moves like Jagger.

Psychee what does Allison engineered mean?
Only that the song in its original state is not a waltz tempo, but I thought that Allison could engineer (MacGyver) the song or her waltz to make it work. Deadie was thinking more like Allison moves like a fast moving train, I think, when he read it, but it's all good.

Re: Week 8: "Icons" Night Dances
The dances for the Dance-Off tonight are Jive, Cha-cha, and Samba. Nick is the only contestant who has done all three before this, so all the rest of the couples had to play catch-up this week, learning an extra dance.

Nick gets all 10's.
Bindi gets picked on for frame related foxtrot problems, and gets fewer points than Nick.
I TOLD YOU SO!

I'm sure she will get a perfect score next week. On top of that, she is the only who has not danced first this season before and is the only one with all the super positive rehearsal packages.Psychee22 wrote:Nick gets all 10's.

The point of my post was that I predicted what has just happened when no one believed it was possible but me.
BTW, I don't think Alek has gone first. Bindi will continue to have positive packages because positivity is her thing.

Please, someone say it was amazing! (I don't think Erin would mind if the drinking game continued)

Re: Week 8: "Icons" Night Dances
I did as well, Kincaid. I thought she looked quite beautiful.
The dancing overall was, I thought, less beautiful. Carlos, Andy, and Alek just didn't perform well. Alexa was, I thought, quite good, but she did have a couple of noticeable problems. Bindi was Bindi - the dance was fun and lively and entertaining, but she was clearly out of sync in a couple of places. Nick's dance was quite lovely - probably the best of the night - but I wouldn't have given it a perfect score. And I did like Tamar's dance a lot, but even it didn't completely wow. Past dance-offs have given us better performances than we saw last night. Not one of their best nights for dancing.
The audience voting during the dance-off was unnecessary. With 3 judges there could never be a tie, so why did we need a tie-breaker?
