I'm going to be ignorant here but was that a jock strap hanging out of Chris's bathing suit all through the show?

He took it off as he was leaving. I assumed it was the battery pack and microphone.

That makes me feel better. Couldn't understand why he felt the need to show it if it was a jock strap!

That's exactly what it was. On The Bachelor/ette they wear regular clothing...well, sort of...and the battery pack and microphone is not as visible. Just looks like more of a bulge in the back of their clothes. In a bathing suit it is glaringly obvious.
