I feel sorry for her. I don't know how she was able to dance. I couldn't move when that happened to me. Also twice, but more than one rib. The pain was terrible.

I feel sorry or her as that pain is awful. I don't know how she is able to dance. I did that twice too and it hurt terribly although I broke more than one rib. Kudos to her for giving it her all.

DWTS Season 27, Week 8: Who’s Dancing What, And When?
The First Dance Is a Dedicated Dance to a Meaningful Person in the Celebrity’s Life
The Couples’ Second Dance Will Be Judges’ Choice to Help Determine Who Should Move on to Finale Night
The couples have been rehearsing day and night preparing to perform two stunning numbers. First, each celebrity will perform a dance style not yet danced, dedicated to a meaningful person in their life. The second is a special Judges’ Choice dance, where each couple will be challenged to perform a style of dance they previously danced, but this time with totally new music in this all-important Semi-Finals extravaganza. For the first dance, each couple will perform a waltz, salsa, contemporary or Argentine tango. For the Judges’ Choice dance, each will perform a jive, foxtrot, quick step, salsa or cha cha. The Dedicated Dance scores will be combined with the Judges’ Choice dance scores for a judges’ final tally.
Juan Pablo & Cheryl – Argentine tango (Song: “Libertango” from Forever Tango)
Judges Choice: Salsa (Song: “Tu Sonrisa” by Elvis Crespo) (mentored by Bruno)
1-800-868-3408
Milo & Witney – Argentine tango (Song: “Pray for Me” by The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar)
Judges Choice: Cha Cha (Song: “Good Feeling” by Austin French) (mentored by Carrie Ann)
1-800-868-3410
Evanna & Keo – Contemporary (Song: “Stand Up for Something” by Andra Day)
Judges Choice: Foxtrot (Song: “Rewrite the Stars” from “The Greatest Showman”) (mentored by Len)
1-800-868-3405
Alexis & Alan – Waltz (Song: “Water” by Bishop Briggs)
Judges Choice: Jive (Song: “Yes” by Merry Clayton) (mentored by Bruno)
1-800-868-3401
Joe & Jenna – Contemporary (Song: “This Year’s Love” by David Gray)
Judges Choice: Quickstep (Song: “Check it Out” by Oh the Larceny) (mentored by Carrie Ann)
1-800-868-3406
Bobby & Sharna – Salsa (Song: “GDFR” by Flo Rida)
Judges Choice: Jive (Song: “Gimme Some Lovin’” by The Spencer Davis Group) (mentored by Len)

Re: Season 27
To me Evanna is the epitome of what DWTS should be, but rarely is. She wasn’t that great in the beginning but every week she got better. Now she’s as good as any of them and better than several.
All I will say about the elimination is: I’m stunned.

My God, that must mean Joe and Bobby are still there. I'm not getting the Joe love. He's okay, but the aw shucks behavior.

Re: Season 27
That has to be one of the most shocking eliminations ever. What a travesty!
Disappointed that the dancing brilliance of the second couple eliminated will go unrewarded
by being denied a trip to the finals.

Re: Season 27
What the hell happened? Shocker
ok don't keep reading *SPOILER*
I personally don't care for Cheryl. I don't like her personality and think she has been on the show a long time and won too many times. Plus her choreography is 'tired' and seems the same each season. Could she be what cost JP the win? I know it should be about the best dancer, and JP was excellent, but face it, people may have voted against Cheryl.

Re: Season 27
I predict Alexis and Allen to win. Not only is she doing great, but the love connection might be helping with the votes. She is so pretty, got the body of a Barbie doll. Milo will give her a run for the trophy.

Re: Season 27
But Alexis was supposedly one of the bottom voted or maybe that was just for drama. It's incredible that Bobby won over Juan Pablo, but maybe Bobby has more fans? I wanted to cry it was so unfair. What is wrong with people? What a good dancer and he seems so nice.

Why did Evanna win over Juan Pablo? She has gotten better, but Juan Pablo is a better dancer with a better personality. Maybe it could be Cheryl.

Re: Season 27
I was surprised when Juan Pablo was eliminated. Then I thought perhaps people didn't bother voting for him because they figured he would already get the most votes. No, who knows. Or maybe people think the show is supposed to be about improvement and he's already been so good since week 2. ? In any case, he's an incredible dancer. Yay for the finale next week.

Re: Season 27
My DWTS groups on fb spontaneously combusted last night after JP was eliminated. Still screaming today. But this is far from the first “shocking elimination” and it won’t be the last. Personally, I lacked that spark of connection with JP and Cheryl. Don’t know why, their dances were always great and he seems nice enough. I just sort of viewed them dispassionately I guess.
I will be perfectly content for any of the F4 to win, yes, even Bobby. They have all brought something positive to the show and I have enjoyed a peaceful season without passionately living or dying over any one contestant.
Good luck to all!

Re: Season 27
I agree, Lesallee, there was no connect with JP and Cheryl. It seems the fans are more connected with younger contestants. The other pros are younger and funner than Cheryl. The young stars have lots of energy and fun to watch.

Re: Season 27
Bobby Bones is 38 and Juan Pablo is 39. Cheryl Burke is 34 and Sharna is 33. Evanna acts like she is in her late 40's and is only 27. Juan Pablo is way more appealing than Bobby Bones and they are only a year apart.

Re: Season 27
I get a feeling the show has lost too many long term viewers who were able to keep the voting balance at least in the decisive, last few rounds. We've had shockers before anyway, but not as many as in the last few seasons.
Chemistry might indeed explain why Alexis ans Alan, in spite of being in the red light so often, finally overcame Juan Pablo and Cheryl. For me, Cheryl was on top of her game as a choreographer, but in the end, JP remained just a talented student.
Pure has speculated weeks ago there might be a campaign to get Keo an mbt, and they might be onto sth. Speaking as a male viewer though, I must say Alexis is so much more appealing to me for various reasons than Evanna will ever be.
Milo is kind of a male Zendaya: youthful, versatile, unconcerned. Witney is a joy to watch this season, but the biggest surprise is how well they are matched.
I agree that in this crazy season even Bobby has a shot. But I must say it would leave a bitter taste if he achieved what Nick, Hinch, and Josh were denied... Sorry Sharna, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

Re: Season 27
I'm pretty sure Bobby won't win and a good fan base can only explain why he is there beyond Juan Pablo. I'm not a big Cheryl fan but I did like her choreography. I don't think Evanna has the personality. I felt that this season went faster than other seasons or maybe it's my imagination. I didn't feel as bored during this season, so I figured it must be the pace of the show.

Re: Season 27
It may be the pace, but on top it's actually shorter than previous seasons- only nine weeks instead of the usual ten or eleven. I secretly hope Alexis will win, but I'm ready for another disappointment. My brain says it will be Evanna. Well, at least this grocery idiot is gone.

That explains it if it's a shorter season. I'm hoping for Milo or Alexis. It has to be one of those 2.

Re: Season 27
I hadn’t read that Pure was speculating on a manipulation to get Keo a MBT. Witout any Chmerkovskiys to bash and no Houghs to promote Pure is rather rudderless.
I really don’t expect Bobby to win. I think it will be Milo and Witney and they will be worthy winners.

Re: Season 27
Been thinking about this and you have a point. Cheryl choreographed for JP old style. She presented him like these handsome hunks have always been presented - Gilles Marini, William Levy, etc. And they were good, no mistake. But alongside of them Witney, Alan and yes, even Keo were innovating, creative and fresh. Of corse Sharna is always a top notch choreographer. So, in the end the fans opted for something newer and exciting.thisoldmule wrote:I agree, Lesallee, there was no connect with JP and Cheryl. Re: Season 27
I don't know if I agree it came down to choreography. That was a good tango. Bobby winning over Juan Pablo makes no sense other than Bobby had more fans, but I didn't even know him before this show. He also has kind of an annoying personality. It would make more sense that it was Cheryl
