In the morning, the kitchen was a bit more crowded with fifteen girls figuring out what they wanted for breakfast. Several opted to just have some of Sharon’s apple pie. “This tastes great heated for a minute in the microwave,” Joy reported to those who were still deciding what to have. This was the first time the ten original Bachelorettes got to meet the “Wednesday” girls, so a lot of subtle sizing up was going on, as well as a bit of not so subtle stuff. The wiser girls stayed out of it. Annie was bummed she had missed the horse riding date, “Well, I’ll be dad-blamed!” she exclaimed. “If only I had come a day earlier!”
“That’s OK, Annie,” said Becca. “I’m sure we’ll get an equally interesting date. Veronica looked around at the other ladies and smiled when she didn’t see another Bachelorette she considered serious competition. She decided this was a good opportunity to throw out a thought. “I hope you all realize I’m Zorro’s #1 girl,” she joked, but meant to plant a seed of doubt in the other girl’s heads. After pausing for effect, she continued, “I was the first Bachelorette he met – the first girl out of the first limo.” All eyes turned to check out Veronica.
Seeing doubt register in some of the girls' eyes, Maggie decided to set things straight, “Well, that’s true Veronica, but that was just 'luck of the draw.' Surely, Zorro won’t decide whose #1 in his heart by order of arrival. The bees sure do think you are as sweet as honey, though!” Then Maggie explained to the newer girls how Veronica had been a “Bee Magnet” on their apple picking date. Veronica acted like it was all in good fun, but mentally she made a note to watch out for that Maggie.

Ding, Dong, Dang, thought Annie. I want to show Zorro hunk my skills, not only on a horse, but my other skills. I'm wondering if ABC will allow us to pick a date with Zorro. Maybe they will have a contest and let the winners of each group of 5 girls have a date night chosen by us. Annie, that's a good idea, so mention this to the higher power(s) and see what they think. I know I can beat my group, afterall, look at me!

That morning Becca, Marilee, Grace, Helena and Annie received word that they would be going a group date and they would be hiking into the surrounding mountains. "Girls, get your mountain gear together. We will be spending the night on this hike, so all the camping gear you need is provided for you and you are not to bring anything with you. Clothes are provided for you also, everything you need is in your backpack. I'll meet you at the front of the castle within the hour.”
"Hot, dang, dog!" yelled Annie. "I loooooooooove hiking! I can't wait, let's go girls!" Becca and Marilee look at one another and start laughing "Hot, dang, dog, okay!" replies Becca. Grace and Helena are thinking, Oh no, this is so not for me! Hiking is not their favorite exercise, actually, exercising is not their thing, period!
The girls get their backpacks, look inside and see, clothes, a tent, a hammer, knife, first aid kit, cooking utensils, flashlight, hiking boots, socks, soap, toothbrush, etc. All the things needed for an overnight hike.
They meet Zorro out front and the first thing Zorro tells them is to buddy up........
Oops, got to go, I'll finish this later.......

Great story! I love the idea of having the bachelorettes come in 5 at a time on different days. Maybe ABC should do that for real. Keep on writing. I can't wait for the first rose ceremony. Thanks for the entertainment.

Zorro took a few moments before leaving on the hiking date to consider his first ten bachelorettes and if anyone stood out as a good match. Veronica was certainly beautiful, but so were many of the other girls. Maggie had been so much fun on the apple picking date. Katie reminded him of his younger sister and he felt a soft spot in his heart for her. Sharon had sent him his own apple pie via Chris Harrison. It had been delicious! That girl had baking skills! Midori seemed so bright and interesting. Lori had style. Theresa, Margie, and Joy had warm personalities. And Ginger sure loved to run! Zorro had decided to have a little black notebook where he could enter details to help him keep each of the girls straight and also make notes of his feelings. He knew this experience was going to be challenging and at times confusing – his little black book would be like having a friend along on this journey, but he also knew he’d have to guard it with his life! Now he was eager to get to know his five new Bachelorettes better. He laced up his hiking boots, straightened his mask, and was ready to go.

Dressed in their hiking clothes and boots, the girls met Zorro at the front of the castle. Zorro appointed buddies and he picked Helena to buddy with him. Becca and Grace were buddies, Annie and Marilee buddied up.
Okay girls, here's What we're going to do. We're going on an overnight hiking trip; that means we will be camping out somewhere in those beautiful mountains you see ahead. We will rest often, and if anyone has any problems, let me know. We don't want blisters on those beautiful feet of your's! (Oh, no thought Marilee, not another Tanner!!" Marliee is a religious bachelor/bachelorette watcher) "No ladies, I'm not another Tanner," Zorro smiles at Marilee. 'Does he read minds too' wondered Marilee. "Yes, I do, Marilee" says Zorro.
"One of the things we are going to do on this hike is learn survival skills, That means, ladies, once we reach camp, you will have to pitch your own tent, and you will have to find your own food to cook and eat. That also means you will have to build your own fire and do your own cooking. Once we reach our destination, you will find there are plenty things to eat; there's a nice stream filled with trout that you and catch, cook and eat; there are some of the most delicious wild blueberries, there are walnuts and there are various plants you can find and fix. Once you have cooked your meal, I will come around to each post and sample each meal. The one who has fixed the best meal will have a one on one with me later this week. The rest we will have a group date. Okay, let's get going."
Right away, Zorro sees that little Helena is going to have a rough time with her backpack, but Zorro is "taken" by this Cutie and he is willing to help her along. Annie, of course, skips ahead of the others singing, "We're off to see the wizard"
After reaching their camping place the girls proceed to pitch their tents and gather their food. Needless to say, none of the girls have ever fished or had to search for their food, but Helena reads alot and she remembers a book she read about camping and survival. She find a nice stick, gets some string from the backpack, fashions a safety pin into a hook and goes to the river to catch a fish. The other girls follow and watch. Helena digs up some worms and puts one on the hook, tosses the hook into the water and lo and behold a huge trout catches hold and Helena pulls that critter in. Turning back to camp, she smiles at the girls hold the fish by her thumb at she walks away. The other girls try to catch the fish by hand but end up falling into the creek, getting wet but laughing anyway.
Once at camp, Helena gets a knife, cleans the fish, prepares a hole in the ground, gets dry leaves, sticks and limbs, proceeds to build a fire. She gets several pieces of flat rock, throws them into the fire, digs another hold, places green leaves into the bottom of the hole. Meanwhile she goes to hunt for the berries and walnuts. She also find some dandelions, which she will use to wrap the fish in and also make dandelion tea.
The other girls finally catch a couple fish and decide to share, and they gather walnuts and berries. Returning to their camps, they start their fires and decide to cook their fish over the flame using a stick.
Back at her camp, Helena wraps her fish in leaves and dandelion, takes the hot rocks from the first, places them into the hole on top of the leaves, puts the covered fish over the hot rocks and proceeds to cover the hole with dirt. The other girls see what she is doing and snickers to each others. "Whew", says Annie "Fish with dirt!"
Helena cooks her berries, puts the dandelions into the berry liquid, fixes the berries and walnuts onto a couple dandelion leaves and waits for Zorro to return.
Zorro returns to camp and approaches each girl. Annie sits with her fish, berries and walnuts. The fish has fallen off the stick and she is brushing it off with her hands. Zorro is not impressed, as he is not with the others. When he comes to Helena, she asks him to sit. She digs into the dirt until the wrapped fish is seen. She takes it out, places it on a tin plate which has the berries, walnut salad and she pours him a cup of warm tea. "Um, this is delicious, Helena" The fish is so tasty, and this tea is so sweet, just as I like it. Yum, I love the berry and walnut salad. Have you been camping before?" "Noooo, noo," replies Helena. "I've never been camping" "Well you could have fooled me, little one. "You know girls, you have been troopers today. Helena, you and I have a one on one, Becca, Grace, Annie and Marilee, you gave it a good try; I promise we will have a fun group date. Now let's hit the sack." "Nite girls"
Helena is shaking in her boots; she has never in her life been on a date. She didn't even go to her own senior prom.

(Note: When you go camping again, try cooking fish as described, you can also do the same with chicken, but that has to be cooked all day, so once you reach camp, dig that hole, heat those rocks, wrap the chicken in foil and yum, nice juicy chicken in about 4-5 yours!)

At 8PM Zorro excused himself from his campsite Bachelorettes, “I have another engagement tonight that I must attend, but I will be back in about two hours. You all may be tired from our outing today, so please go ahead and go to sleep and I will see you all in the morning.” The Bachelorettes were quite surprised, and a bit disappointed by this announcement. Zorro waved and walked away into the woods, using a lantern to light his way.
A mere two hundred feet from the campsite, the woods opened into a meadow had been turned into an outdoor living room, softly lit by twinkle lights. Sleek microfiber sofas and love seats had been arranged in two main seating areas. A larger sectional formed a u-shaped couch that surrounded a small raised firepit. The heat from the flames warmed the cool September evening. The other seating area was a love seat set in front of a smaller firepit. A table with refreshments could be seen at one side of the main area, lit by lanterns strung from trees. It was a magical setting.
Chris Harrison was waiting to greet Zorro. “Well, Zorro, this is a first! A Bachelor has never met his Bachelorettes in the middle of a field at night before,” he chuckled. “It is a bit unusual, but how else could I meet my “Thursday” evening Bachelorettes?” Zorro responded with humor in his voice. In another minute a limo pulled into sight and drove across the meadow, stopping just shy of a rose covered arbor where Zorro stood to meet his five new Bachelorettes. The arbor area was lit by floodlights that offered soft, sexy lighting.

The limo door opened and out stepped a vision in pink chiffon. The girl had light brown hair, cut in an above the shoulder bob. Her dress and hair combined to give her a modern, but feminine look that was appealing. “Hi! I’m Bethany,” she told Zorro upon reaching him. She gave him a hug and held his hands in front of her. “I’m so happy to meet you. I’ve been a huge fan of this show and it always breaks my heart when it doesn’t work out.” Zorro, smiled and nodded, “Bethany, I know just how you feel. Why don’t we try to change the odds?” “Sounds good to me!” Bethany walked under the arbor and sat in the center of the sectional. Zorro fixed his eyes on the limo door. It opened again and a girl gracefully stepped out of the limo in a light blue dress that shimmered over her lovely figure. “Good evening,” Zorro said as she approached. The girl smiled sweetly up at him. He was struck by her beautiful blue eyes surrounded by long, wavy black hair. “Hello, Zorro! I’m Madison!” “Madison, great name,” replied Zorro. “Thank you,” said Madison. “It’s a family name, actually.” “Where are you from?” asked Zorro. “Oh, I’m from Virginia, the Williamsburg area.” “I’ve been there. It’s a great place.” “Yes, I guess we can talk more about it another time?” “Of course,” replied Zorro, as he indicated that Madison should walk under the arbor to the seating area. The next girl out of the limo was an auburn-haired girl named Denise. “I’m a Blackjack dealer in Las Vegas,” she told Zorro. “Well, I’ll bet you have some interesting stories to tell!” “You’d win the jackpot on that bet, Zorro!” The fourth girl out of the limo walked up to Zorro dressed in a shimmering silver cocktail dress. “Hi, Zorro, I’ve been dying to meet you! I’m Erica, from Minnesota.” “Erica, it’s nice to meet you. What a pretty dress.” “Thank you!” The final bachelorette came out of the limo wearing a red satin sheath-style dress with spaghetti straps. Her name was Kylie and she had strawberry blonde hair with the top parted on the left and pinned back on the right in a style that suited her face very well. “Shall we?” Zorro asked, offering her his arm. Since she was the final Bachelorette of the evening, he escorted her under the arbor and to the seating area where the other girls were waiting.

It opened again and a girl gracefully stepped out of the limo in a light blue dress that shimmered over her lovely figure. “Good evening,” Zorro said as she approached. The girl smiled sweetly up at him. He was struck by her beautiful blue eyes surrounded by long, wavy black hair. “Hello, Zorro! I’m Madison!” “Madison, great name,” replied Zorro. “Thank you,” said Madison. “It’s a family name, actually.” “Where are you from?” asked Zorro. “Oh, I’m from Virginia, the Williamsburg area.” “I’ve been there. It’s a great place.” “Yes, I guess we can talk more about it another time?” “Of course,” replied Zorro, as he indicated that Madison should walk under the arbor to the seating area. The next girl out of the limo was an auburn-haired girl named Denise. “I’m a Blackjack dealer in Las Vegas,” she told Zorro. “Well, I’ll bet you have some interesting stories to tell!” “You’d win the jackpot on that bet, Zorro!” The fourth girl out of the limo walked up to Zorro dressed in a shimmering silver cocktail dress. “Hi, Zorro, I’ve been dying to meet you! I’m Erica, from Minnesota.” “Erica, it’s nice to meet you. What a pretty dress.” “Thank you!” The final bachelorette came out of the limo wearing a red satin sheath-style dress with spaghetti straps. Her name was Kylie and she had strawberry blonde hair with the top parted on the left and pinned back on the right in a style that suited her face very well. “Shall we?” Zorro asked, offering her his arm. Since she was the final Bachelorette of the evening, he escorted her under the arbor and to the seating area where the other girls were waiting.

In addition to general conversation with the group, Zorro pulled each lady aside to the private seating area for about a fifteen minute chat where he learned a bit more about each of his new Bachelorettes. Bethany was a teacher from Michigan. She had been married before, briefly right out of high school and now with her college degree and a career that suited her well, she was ready to marry again and have children. Although Madison was from Williamsburg, VA, it turned out she was a recent graduate of UCLA with a degree in screenwriting. She was already working for a situation comedy in Hollywood, working her way up the chain from assistant to full-time writer. Denise had grown up in New York and been involved in dancing all her life. She had moved to Vegas with dreams of being a showgirl, but had gotten her foot in the door as a dealer first and found that the money was better and it was less strenuous work. She did teach dance lessons on the side, as well. Erica worked as a Legal Secretary in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. She loved her job and her family and the cold weather. Kylie was a dental hygienist, had a large, close-knit family, and was from Parsippany, NJ.
At the end of the evening, Zorro toasted his five new “Thursday” Bachelorettes and told them he would see them the next day for their afternoon date. The girls returned to the limo and drove away. Zorro waved them off and headed back through the woods to the campsite to join his “Wednesday” Bachelorettes.

As Zorro was in the woods meeting the new set of bachelorettes, looking on was a person who unknown to Zorro and the others was watching with interest the new bachelor and his so-called bachelorettes. 'We'll see, Mr. Mystery Bachelor who you pick and if you are even able to pick.', the intruder is thinking. 'I've got my aim on you , Mr. Mystery Bachelor, and I will see to it that you meet your match soon.' Smiling quietly, the intruder slowly moves back and disappears into the forrest.
As the girls settle into their tents, Helena is practically in tears wondering what she will do when she has to go on the date with Zorro. 'I'm going to get that brother of mine when I get home that's for surel. I know he means well, but at least he could have informed me. Oh I wish I had a book to read. Why didn't I just sneak my Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice into my backpack. I'm not going to sleep tonight that's for sure.'
In the other tent, Grace, Marilee and Becca are all in one tent; they are afraid to sleep alone. "Where's Annie?" asks Becca. "I think I heard her getting into her tent just and couple minutes ago" replied Marilee.

The hiking group broke camp early the next morning. Walking back to the castle, Zorro tells Becca, Annie, Marilee and Grace that they will be going on a bowling date. He tells them that each will have a chance to spend one on one time with him and the winner of the bowling match will have a one on one date with him later. "So, girls horn up on your game and get ready for a fun time." Annie laughs to herself, 'Yee-peeeeeeeeeeee," I'm a winner, I bowled on a team and was its top scorer; I don't need to practice. I'm a winner already!'
Taking Helena by her hand, Zorro walks ahead of the others. "Helena, I know you are a nervous about this date, please don't worry, we'll have a good time, no pressure from either of us; we'll just enjoy ourselves." Helena felt the tinkling in her hand to her heart; she began shaking, Zorro puts his arm around her and remembers what Helena's brother wrote about his sister. He wrote: 'Dear ABC and Bachelor creator, My sister, Helena is a beautiful girl, both inside and out. She has never been on a date in her 25 years; she is very shy, loves to read, is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met, and she has a heart of gold. Please consider her as a bachelorette. With the right man, I think she can be drawn out of this incredible shyness. Thank you so much. I enclose her picture'. When Zorro looked at the picture, his heart picked up in beat. Helena had the most beautiful eyes and lips just waiting for a first kiss. He was determined to be the first to kiss sweet Helena. Just from her picture, Zorro was attracted to Helena.
Once back at the castle, the girls went to their rooms and fell asleep, afterall, they had not slept the night before.

After arriving at the bowling ally, Zorro, Becca, Annie, Marilee and Grace got their bowling shoes and picked out their bowling balls. Zorro told the girls to get a light weight ball if they have never bowled, or a medium weight. Of course, Annie being different, picked out the 16 pound ball. The rest chose 10 pound balls.
Once the game began, it became clear that Zorro had bowled before, that Becca and Grace were having beginner's luck, Marilee was not the bowler and Annie was a total disaster. Showing off, Annie threw several gutter balls and almost got a strike herself, leaving the bowling ball behind.
Taking a break, Zorro asks Becca to come with him to the lounge for some time alone. Zorro has been attracted to Becca the first time he met her. "Becca, tell me a little about yourself, your family, siblings?" asks Zorro. "As I mentioned to you, I'm from Switzerland and I'm a high school Math teacher. I love teaching and at the present time, I'm working on my Ph.D. so I can teach on the college level. I have two brothers and a sister. My Mom and Dad live in Maine near Bar Harbor and my siblings also live in Maine. I am the middle child." I love to cook, sew, knit and enjoy needle. I must admit, I'm not a sport's person, but I'll willing to try anything once. Since we went hiking, I think I would enjoy that more and someday hike Baxter State Park. " "Have you been in any serious relationships, Becca when do you want to get married and have children?" "Ah, I've been in one serious relationship and we broke up about 6 months ago" answers Becca. Right away, Zorro sees a hint of pain in Becca's eyes. "You seem to still have some feelings about that relationship, Becca am I correct?" "Oh no, no, no, no," Becca replies. "It took me a while to realize that this person I had a relationship was not a nice person, especially after I realized he was possessive and very jealous. He hit me one time and that was it. I can assure you that's over. As far getting married, I would love to be married within two years and have children." Zorro looks at Becca leans over and gives her a soft kiss, followed by several more kisses. They look into each other's eyes and sparks are felt between them." Zorro knows Becca will be a keeper, he is very attracted to this lovely girl.

Returning to the bowling ally, Zorro notices Annie is talking with a couple guys laughing and getting a little too cozy. Smiling to himself, he wonders what this little tomboy is up to now. He approaches Marilee, takes her by the hand and they walk outside the ally for some private time. They begin to stroll around until they come to a table with upon which a bright candle is lit and a bowl of yummy looking fruits. He pulls out a chair for Marilee to sit and he takes his seat. "Let's have a glass of wine and some of this delicious fruit while you tell me a little about herself, Marilee." Zorro speaks as he smiles at Marilee. "Thank you, um the fruit looks good" replies Marilee. I have one brother who is a pilot; his name is Jake and we are best of friends. He lives in Texas; our parents live there also. I have missed my brother because I just recently came back from a trip abroad for 6 months and having had a chance to see him since I've been back. I hope to see him soon. Our parents are retired and they enjoy traveling now that they are retired. Right now they are touring the Inca sites in Mexico." Zorro notices what lovely hands Marilee has and have expressive them are when she talks. "Tell me about being a hand model." "Believe it or not, Zorro, it's hard work. I have to constantly be careful not the injure my hands, keep them in 'shape' so to speak and at the same time make sure they are soft and smooth." "Tell me how you model your hands, show me." Zorro says. "Rather than show you, let me teach you how to model your hands", Marilee replies as she looks into Zorro's eyes and smiles. Taking his hands in her's, Marilee rubs his palms with her fingers, turns his hands over and does the same on the top of his hand. She shows him several ways to hold his hand, they laugh and enjoy this display of flirting.
"I have enjoyed this so much, Marilee. I am going to make sure I watch that Ivory commercial you told me about. He pulls Marilee from her chair, enfolds her in his arms and gives her a tender kiss. Marilee runs her hands into Zorro's hair and increases the kiss. The kiss goes on and on a little too long. Suddenly there's a knock at the door and in walks Grace. "Hey, you two, can this girl have a chance!" Zorro and Marilee break apart and Zorro walks Marilee to the door; then he turns to Grace. "Come in, have a seat" says Zorro.

Oops, it just occurred to me that Grace can't knock on a door in that Marilee and Zorro are outside. Just Grace walks up on Zorro and Marilee who are in a romantic embrace.
Off to the side, a stranger is looking on what has just happened between Marilee and Zorro. The anger is building!!
"Come, Grace let's take a walk." They begin to walk, but with Grace still limping, they find a bench by the lake to sit and talk.
Zorro learns that Grace is a sweet and caring young lady. Her passion is dancing but she also loves to work with the children whose parents can't afford dance lessons for their children. So, Grace gives of her time and talent to teach several dance classes at a studio he rents. "I love dancing, Zorro, but I also love working with children. Once my dancing career is over, I want to continue to teach dancing." Of course, my greatest joy will be to teach children of my own the love of dancing." Grace smiles. "Do you like to dance, Zorro?" "Yes, I do, Grace. of course I'm not a professional but I enjoy a turn around the dance floor." Well, we'll have to go dancing sometimes, Zorro" smiles Grace.
Grace and Zorro continue their talk, they are very comfortable and as they leave to go back inside, they have a brief kiss, a nice long hug and hold hands as they enter the bowling ally.
Zorro looks around, where's Annie" Coming through the door from outside, Annie run into Zorro, "here I am, you ready for me Z?" Zorro laughs and takes Annie's hand taking her into the lounge. 'This is going to be interesting' Zorro smiles at the looks at Annie.

"Yes, I do, Grace. of course I'm not a professional but I enjoy a turn around the dance floor." Well, we'll have to go dancing sometimes, Zorro" smiles Grace.
Grace and Zorro continue their talk, they are very comfortable and as they leave to go back inside, they have a brief kiss, a nice long hug and hold hands as they enter the bowling ally.
Zorro looks around, where's Annie" Coming through the door from outside, Annie run into Zorro, "here I am, you ready for me Z?" Zorro laughs and takes Annie's hand taking her into the lounge. 'This is going to be interesting' Zorro smiles at the looks at Annie.

After the bowling date on Friday, Zorro had showered and dressed and was ready for his final group of five Bachelorettes to arrive. "Chris," Zorro confided to Mr. Harrison. "This is all just such a whirlwind I am GLAD I don't have to worry about sending anyone home until Monday," Zorro confessed breathlessly.
Since this next group of women all shared common home environments near the water it only seemed appropriate for Zorro to meet them all near the duck pond on the castle grounds. With stars and moonlight providing the romantic backdrop for the meeting, the women emerged, one by one, from their rather stately transport: a horse drawn carriage.
As Chris helped the first bachelorette down the gilded steps, Zorro couldn't help but hear her bubbly laughter. The sound was musical and infectious as the handsome bachelor chuckled softly in anticipation of seeing the face behind the voice. "Hi 'Mr.' Zorro! It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance," the beautiful blond cooed coquettishly. Zorro barely heard her tell him her name was Aubrey as he was totally mesmerized by her grace and movement. "No Aubrey, the pleasure is all mine," he managed to stammer.
Zorro composed himself in order to meet the next bachelorette. As he turned to greet her he was surprised to see a diminutive lovely named Jasmine. Her dark hair shone and her black eyes flashed under the stars as she smiled back at him. Her teeth were perfect, he noted, as a giggle escaped her lips with excitement. "Sorry-I am a little nervous," she shyly explained. "Don't be nervous-we will have some time to talk over dinner. Please make yourself comfortable inside," Zorro soothingly responded.
Zorro had no idea how he would ever be able to figure out who he would be sending home. All of the women he had met thus far were beautiful and memorable. With that the third bachelorette emerged from the carriage and Zorro was, yet again, left speechless. With her long brown hair tumbling about her shoulders and back, Jeneva introduced herself with a calmness that belied her rapidly beating heart. She shook Zorro's hand with confidence and was surprised at how easy it was to mask her OWN qualms. With a quick hug, Jenna told the striking young man that she would see him inside. "If I make it that far," she muttered to herself.
The next bachelorette bounded down the steps with no problem and strode up to Zorro extending her hand. "Hi there ! My name is Camryn-and I am so pleased to meet you! I have been waiting all evening for this!!" Zorro noted that as she spoke he could almost see the exclamation points in the air! She had such exuberance in her voice his interest was indeed piqued. "Well Camryn, I am so glad to meet YOU," his voice echoed in excitement. "Please go inside and I will be there shortly," he added charmingly. Zorro did not think ahead about how this would all work out. He just felt that somehow it would and had faith that in the end that everything would all make sense.
With this thought he was greeted with the most incredible smile he had seen this night. That and the ice blue dress that wrapped itself around the silhouette before him almost made him do a double take. And then he did do a double take-he HAD seen that face before. It was a twin to the one he had just met. Jeneva. "Surprise! Sorry to do that to you Mr. Zorro. My name is Penny and I believe you already met my twin sister Jenn," said the twin voice to Jen. "Wow! And I thought I was the only one with the surprise here tonight! That's good-I was not expecting this at all," Zorro laughed in relief. And so Zorro escorted the second twin to the castle, as they joked about their unexpected meeting, surrounded by the hummings of the fireflies and the paddlings of the ducks in the water. The scenario about to unfold in the castle could foretell which of the women would be leaving on Monday-or would it?

As the ladies found their seats around the dinner table they noticed there was always an empty chair next to each bachelorette. Chris then informed that they would all be dining with the 'mystery bachelor' but that he would periodically move around the table and sit next to each of his dates in order to have a few minutes of conversation semi privately.
When Zorro entered the room an audible 'aaaah' echoed through out, making the bachelor feel a little uncomfortable. He then realized that this process would be more complicated than he expected, since he was not used to such unbridled ogling. He opened with the traditional toast, but explained that they would be enjoying an indoor BBQ for the evening. The unexpected storm brewing outside brought the party indoors for the night. The steaks and mahi mahi fillets were passed around the table, along with the salad, southern baked sweet potatoes and grilled corn on the cob.
Zorro sat near the twins and asked Jeneva about how the girls came to be on the show. Jenna explained that the twins had graduated from the University of Nevada, and that Lake Tahoe was their stomping grounds. Both girls loved water sports and music and after spending a few years doing both professionally, they both felt that it was time to settle down and think about fulfilling other areas in their lives. Zorro found it a little difficult to speak to just one of the girls at a time since they were so attuned to the other, but all in all it was a comfortable and enlightening conversation.
Just as Camryn was about to take a huge bite out of her corn on the cob, Zorro sat next to her and she froze in mid bite. Should she go ahead and chomp into the corn and risk having the kernels stuck in her teeth she wondered, or should she just put the darn thing back on her plate-what to do... She opted for the latter and turned to Zorro laughing as she reddened just a tad. "You caught me," she exclaimed to the mystery man. "And not a bit too soon!" "No worries Camryn," Zorro retorted with a grin. "I think you'd be cute even if I had to fight you for that last kernel of corn!" At that point Camryn realized that there was something special about this bachelor and that anyone who could appreciate her brashness was indeed someone to take seriously-as a potential mate. She then told Zorro that she was a pharmaceutical sales rep from Denver Colorado and she had a gift for him. She would give him that gift later but Zorro couldn't help but wonder what it could be.
As he moved on to the next bachelorette, Jasmine smiled up at the handsome masked man but had no idea what to say. Zorro began by asking her where she was from and what she did for a living. That question was all it took to get Jasmine to open up about her kids. "I work in San Diego in a school environment but mainly with special needs children and at risk ones also," she explained with feeling. "I love my kids and I couldn't imagine my life without them. We become very attached to the children since we work with them everyday. Consistency is especially important when working with this group, and we make great strides every year. But we do take it one day at a time and celebrate every victory, large and small," Jasmine assured with passion brimming in her voice. Zorro was touched by her heart felt words and gave Jasmine a hug and a thank you for her caring concern for the little ones.
Blond haired Aubrey held her breath as Zorro settled into the chair next to her. She felt so nervous even her hair was shaking with the closeness of this man. At last Zorro was able to ask the beautiful Aubrey why she was here and where she was from. Saving the best for last he asked himself silently? As Aubrey opened her mouth and began to speak he realized a curious thing-he had no real recollection of her words. He heard her speak-in that musical way she had of speaking, that is. But he could not focus on what it was she said-only the melody of her voice resonated in his brain and he was caught up in the moment of mystery. Her hair swayed as she moved her head emphasizing one of the points she was making, and then she floated to the dessert table to bring him something she baked herself. He had no idea what he was eating but realized that he needed to clear his head and so stood up to get coffee for the group. It was much like that old movie he had seen with Sandra Bullock and Tate something or other-'Love Potion Number Nine.' As if Aubrey had taken in the potion and he would follow her unquestioningly after hearing her speak...
After having the coffee and dessert the group prepared to say their good nights. After all, Chris H. reminded them they would be having their first date the next day and everyone needed their beauty sleep-even the mystery bachelor. And with that the women went to their wing to get some shut eye, and Zorro sprang up the steps to finish the dream that had already begun before bidding adieu...

Getting to know Annie and keeping her sitting for 15 minutes was going to be a chore in itself. "Annie, come sit right by me (he pats the place on the couch by him), come on sit down, here we go, we'll sit together. Good job, Annie!" (Annie does a Jesse leaping over the couch and plops down beside Zorro) "Tell me a little about yourself, Annie, tell me about Annie's Cove and your ranch". "Well, Z, I love horses, I think my M@ma said I was born in a barn! I have 1000 acres and house about 150 horses on my farm. I teach riding lessons and I train horses for the rodeo. Have you ever been to a rodeo, Z?" asks Annie. "Why yes I have Annie. Tell me do you have any siblings? " Nah, I'm an only child, my Da says I'm enough for 4 boys." Zorro smiles, "What do you think about marriage and children, Annie?" "Well, Z, it's like this, I'm 27 years old right now and by the time I'm 30, I want to have three children and after that, maybe two more." 'Have I heard this same thing from somewhere else,' wonders Zorro. "It looks like you have better hurry and get married then", laughs Zorro. "Yea, I'm ready right this minute, Z; let's go and get this party over with and start on those kids right away!"
Suddenly there's a loud knock on the door, "where is she, where is my little Annie, Annie, oh there you are. Now Annie, didn't I tell you not to leave me, didn't I tell you that you can't marry anyone else but me. Annie, honey, come on back home with me right now!" "Now Billy Joe Bob, I told you I weren't going to marry you, never ever, ever, ever, ever. This here is the man I'm going to marry, BJB meet Z; Z this is BJB" Zorro starts to shake Billy Joe Bob's hand; the handshake is firm, "proud to meet you Z. Hey, wait just one minute, you're Zorro ain't cha, well I be darn, Annie, this here is Zorro. Zorro, I love you man," Billy Joe Bob gives Zorro a great big hug, then he starts to cry. "Zorro, Annie is my girl and you can't have her, she belongs to me and I need to take her home with me right now." "BJB I'm not going home with you; I'm going to stay right here with Zorro, now get yourself back to Oklahoma right now!"
Zorro sees that things just aren't going as he thought they would, the argument continues until Zorro steps in and says. "Annie and Billy Joe Bob let me suggest that you stay here with me Billy Joe Bob, here you can have a chance to spend some time at the castle and maybe you can Annie can come to some agreement between you."
The suggestion was agreed to and the three went back into the ally, the other girls were ready to return to the castle. 'Whew, what a day, what a day' thought Zorro.
Zorro was looking forward to seeing Helena for his one on one with her; he remembered how he felt when he had taken Helena's hand in his; he certainly felt electricity; but then he knew he had feeling for the other girls also. He would be taking Helena to a drive-in movie-a romantic drive-in movie.
