I for one do not like it !! Will especially miss Tom. Erin not so much. But to replace with Tyra Banks ??? Is it going to be what "Tyra wants Tyra gets" as some of her former "Next top Model" judges say about her ? With her being the only host, sure does sound like it. Her becoming a judge the next step? A judge with final say or a tie breaking judge? OG is all I'll say at the moment

I really don't know about this move from TPTB but will more than likely at least watch a few episodes before passing or staying with this "new look"

And is also named a producer. Did she buy her way in? Or were they so convinced that they needed to have a gorgeous African American model to tone down the overwhelming whiteness of the show that they gave her anything she wanted to get her?

She is lovely and well spoken but she is not Tom. His sense of humor has always been an enjoyable and necessary part of the show. He balances awkward judge moments, especially. Man... This is going to be a tough transition for me.

I know of Tyra but have not watched her model show and do not know much about her really.I would think the host should be someone who has a good sense of humor and are quick on their feet.

I wonder if TPTB are changing the show a lot ..... I guess we will have to see what happens.

I am wondering who the pros will be though .... are we going to get a whole new crew there also ?

After being a loyal viewer of this show since season one, I have never missed an episode. I truly believe Tom and Erin were fired because they are too white. This bad decision is an easy decision for me as I am no longer going to watch this show. I'm not a particular fan of Erin but ABC has lost me because of their firing Tom Bergeron. He made the show.

Lindsey Arnold is pregnant, so she will be out for the season. I would imagine that Whitney would be hoping to do that soon as well... They have always lived their lives in tandem, I think.

I'm bummed! Tom always thought on his feet. Joked and helped with some awkward moments. I just loved him. Erin was ok. One of the critics said that Tyra was there to end the show. Wouldn't surprise me. Not a fan of hers!

I wonder if this is the end and TPTB just said to heck with it and planned a train wreck for the final season.That is the only reason I can think of to replace both host and bring in someone else at this stage of the game.

If they do manage to get this turkey off the ground I think I may just go to the Youtubes and watch some dances there.I don't watch much television so it fits better for me to watch it when I want and I don't have to listen to the chatter of judges and the "drama" that is "produced" by TPTB.

Off topic question ... Anyone watching any of the Pluto Living videos on YT ? .... that little dog is way funny.

Although they may have planned something like this before, I think the Covid-19 thing has forced them to dramatically change the program. They cannot have a live audience, so the show will be quieter. Didn't the UK version finish their last season without an audience? How did they re-arrange things there?

Really I do not get why they are trying to do this show amid this covid crisis.It is a contact sport as it were and does not really jive with social distancing.

It sounds like they are going to have the couples train and dance in different locations and broadcast remotely.I guess the host will be set up somewhere but I don't know how they can work the judging that way.It would be pretty hard to see everything I would think.

I can understand having no audience and putting on the show like they always do but to have them all in a room somewhere and some judges in different countries .... that is a pretty tall order to do this kind of show.

I do not know about the UK version.

Hi. Long time no see.

When I heard Tyra was going to host, I audibly GROANED. I watched America's Next Top Model and liked Tyra. But as the show went into seasons, her head grew. When she was on AGT, I developed an aversion to her mugging for the camera. She could definitely spell the end for DWTS.

PS: On a side note: I was bored last week and went to youtube to watch some dance. Anne Reinking, Gwen Verden, Ben Vereen. Then I went to SYTYCD. Perhaps you remember the season when Sabra won over Danny Tidwell? I LOVED his talent and looked up his solos - actually got emotional watching him dance - and wondered what he was doing now. He was heading the Norway Ballet - but was killed in a car accident this past March. God, what a loss of talent!

I just don't know if the audience is ready for such a big change in the show,especially right now with everything that has had to change in everyday living.

It would have been nice to see something that is familiar and comfortable on the tv about now.

So sad when we lose great artist.

I remember him. What a shame that happened to such a young talented person. I miss SYTYCD, I also miss DWTS being on twice a year. I still can't figure out why they got rid of Sharna and Artem. Two good dancers.
