Not sure if this counts On K&M they asked Katelyn about doing DWTS. . . She said if it started filming tomorrow she would have to turn it down. . . She did not reject the idea completely.

Hey WidderWoman, long time no speak! So good to have you back. I tried to leave a message at the Civility Club, but got kicked out and wasn't able to sign in again. We can only hope Jane and the others will find us. It's a shame how they let the DWTS board die.

Hey, Deaddy, glad you made it here!

I wonder why they say they're closing the boards on August 10. Essentially, they've already closed them, given that nobody can sign on. What utterly rotten treatment of long-time, loyal viewers and posters.

I agree. It also kind of looks bad (even ridiculous). It gives the appearance that for such a big, well-known company they don't know how to fix common information technology problems and just gave up. Their boards did not have a lot of standard features to begin with and they couldn't even make a simplified version of a message board work. As a computer technician, I just don't understand how that could happen.

We have a few board administrators and moderators, including myself. Posters can vote on important things, when necessary, and the admins pretty much provide what the posters want and keep the board running as smoothly as possible. This board is mostly for people who want to discuss TV shows, but we can create forums/topics for anything people like, really. For instance, in the "General Topics" forum, anyone is free to create a new topic on anything.

Bach is being modest, GGJ. He created this board a couple of years ago and kept it going while many of us ignored it and him. Now we've come crying back and he hasn't rubbed our noses in it even once!

I am a Bachelor/Bachelorette fan and have been watching the shows for many years. The ABC message boards have had technical issues, so I created this board as a back up plan a couple of years back. I've been talking to many old friends on the boards for years and I hope I can continue to have conversations with them. It is a shame that ABC is pulling the plug on all the boards. I am shocked that they would do this so abruptly.

Firing Harold Wheeler, cutting down the results shows, now closing the MB in such a rotten manner- it's all about saving money, I guess. Anyway, thanks for providing a home for the outcast!

OT about message boards:

Just a quick note to say that those who run message boards can pull the whole thing at any time they please. I was a member at Big Fish Games for a couple of years; we had literally thousands of members. They pulled the message boards and the word games (similar to what we have here) with two days' notice. We ended up calling it the Big Flush and were set adrift to find new homes. Some never did and we lost many many fabulous posters. And so it goes.........
