The players are in motion.

Ashlee seems as crazy and obsessive as she was on Sean's season. Graham had better sleep with an alarm under his pillow. I shudder to think about the consequences of his giving her a rose. This woman is an emotional hell on wheels.

Michelle Money is a riot. Choosing Marquel? I understand she ends up with Cody? I can't wrap my head around that.

Lacy hedges her bets and drops Robert like a hot potato when Marcus responds to her. Calculating? Any sympathy I might have had for Marcus is out the window. This guy is desperate to be in love.

Michelle K., thankfully, takes herself out. Anyone remember whose season this hot mess was on? Strange woman.

Pleasantly surprising lighter side of Clare. Was it Robert who gave her a rose?

Unless someone actually falls in love with Sarah, I don't think she has a prayer. All this stuff is beyond her gentle soul.

I'm sure some will form Survivor-like alliances instead of pursuing a love interest. I think it's why Michelle took Graham aside when she arrived. I'm betting they'll have each other's backs. But if there's no prize at the end, I guess alliances would be pointless, huh?

I watched it on my VCR this morning, blessedly skipping through all the commercials. It's really Bachelor Pad with a twist, but the premise is the same....hook-ups. Maybe it will be more interesting when Brooks gets there. Who knows?

AshLee is the same obnoxious being she was on Sean's season and she still grates on my nerves every time she opens her mouth or does one of her facial expressions. I really don't enjoy one thing about her and put her in the same category as Chris B. Enough of them!

CH told the guys to give their rose to the gal that they wanted to form a relationship with and that's exactly what Marcus did when the opportunity presented itself. It was a smart move on his part and very fortunate for him that he got to choose before Robert.

Singly I disagree with on Clare showing a lighter side ~ especially what she had to say after she got the rose in her little PI. She is not that interested in Robert and will use him till she sees someone she likes better and then she will got after the new guy. I think she is showing her true self.

I also disagree on Sarah having a gentle soul ~ saying snarky things like "hard core" and "skinny dipping" about Lacy when she did neither is not showing a gentle soul to me. She is also the same whiny person that she was on Sean's season and I'm sorry that Ben gave her the rose. I will agree that she doesn't belong there.

Michelle K. is a real nut case and from the previews it doesn't look like she really left the area and she will be back causing some havoc.

I am so not looking forward to Chris B. showing his mug again next week - I was hoping for a few more weeks without having him contaminate my TV screen.

Newto I find nothing interesting or exciting about Brooks and could go all season with seeing him again. You either liked Brooks or you didn't and I didn't.

RECAP FOR AUGUST 4, 2014

Hello, and welcome to Bachelor In Paradise on ABC. In this Bachelor(ette) spinoff, which seems to be a Bachelor Pad reboot, takes several show alumni to Mexico in order to find love with each other. I can promise you tears, drama, romance and of course, dramatic rose ceremonies.

We open with Chris Harrison giving us a preview of the season and him introducing our cast of characters.

We have:
Clare--Juan Pablo's season
Marcus--Andi's season
Sarah--Sean's season
Marquel--Andi's season
Daniella--Sean's season
Graham--DeAnna's season
Lacy--Juan Pablo's season
Ben S.--Desiree's season (and no, his son Brody did not introduce him)
Michelle K.--Jake's season
Robert--Desiree's season
Dylan--Andi's season
Elise--Juan Pablo's season
AshLee--Sean's season

As an aside, what is up with this creepy music? It sounds like porno music meets the Unsolved Mysteries theme song. We also had a very serious wardrobe malfunction with Sarah's dress blowing up.

Everyone mingles and claims to be attracted to one another based on looks alone. It looks like Lacy and Graham are quite the popular ones.

Chris comes back and asks if everyone is single. Michelle says maybe, which everyone questions. She says that she is single, but does not sound very convincing.

There will be date cards given out each week. If someone gets one, they will choose who they want to accompany them on the date. At the end of each week, you will be eliminated if they are not part of a couple. There will also be rose ceremonies. This is confusing, but maybe they will explain it more later?

Since there are more girls than girls, one girl will go home this week. Next week, the girls will send a guy home.

Everyone goes to explore and get to know one another. The guys and girls talk about what will happen if people end up falling for the same person.

Robert and Lacy go into the water together. She is all wrapped around him, which makes Sarah uncomfortable. To be honest, none of the girls seem all to happy with Lacy being so flirty.

That night, everyone is hanging out and flirting. Lacy says she goes after what she wants….so she goes after Marcus, which pisses off Sarah. She also says she will accept a rose from Robert.

Robert is jealous and shocked by Lacy's behavior and says he won't let another guy go after the girl he wants.

Okay, it seems like The Lacy Show because all the guys seem to be into her.

There are a lot of hook ups, but they go so fast it is hard to keep up with who is with whom. I feel like I could get pregnant or catch a disease watching this. Mostly, I feel second hand embarrassment. Seriously, do they realize they have their mothers, bosses, etc. watching this?

The next morning, everyone is enjoying breakfast on the beach when the date card arrives.

Clare has the first date in paradise. She decides to go out with Graham, which upsets AshLee. She goes upstairs to complain and pout. Sarah thinks she is crazy for being this upset over him when she only met him 24 hours ago. Cue trash talking and tears. Even the raccoon thinks AshLee is crazy.

::Headdesk::

AshLee talks to Clare about it and convinces her to take a different guy on the date.
She chooses Robert.

Graham goes to talk to AshLee.

Clare and Robert's date is in a cave, which leads to a gorgeous view. It i is actually pretty cool and a date I would go on in real life. Apparently, you need to take your shirt off to go hiking. As they hike, they stop to take selfies.

They also go to the beach, roll in the sand and play in the water.

Lacy decides to continue her quest into Marcus's pants, er, heart. This is so awkward and embarrassing. It might actually be worse than the Ben/Jamie make out-by-numbers segment.

Sarah gets a date card and decides to take Marcus. They go into a cave, which leads to an underground oasis. They jump in and kiss.

Lacy is upset that the guys she likes both got dates. She talks to Robert about his date and finds out that they didn't even kiss. She thinks they are back on track and that he is a gentleman.

Michelle Money arrives on the island. She was on Brad's second season and brought the crazy. I LOVED her on that season and Bachelor Pad 2. The girls are intimidated, especially when she and Graham talk. If you remember, they met and began dating on their season of Bachelor Pad. The girls wonder how AshLee will react, especially because she has a date card.

AshLee and Graham talk and she apologizes for things being awkward. He says he was hurt when he tried to talk to her and she ignored him.

Michelle decides to ask Marquel out on the date. She is thrilled he says yes and says we don't want to know how long it has been since she has been on a date. She is also insecure about being a single mom with stretch marks.

Her date with Marquel consists of horseback riding. They seem to hit it off and they actually become a couple I want to root for.

Marcus says he likes Sarah, but is more into Lacy.

Speaking of Lacy…she gets the next date card. She chooses Robert so she can figure out what he is feeling. Marcus feels crappy about this and decides to give his rose to Sarah during the rose ceremony.

Lacy makes out with Robert in the water. Marcus is heartbroken and is afraid of being hurt again.
Chris Harrison tells them that two girls will be going home at the rose ceremony. Everyone now has to talk and figure out who will get roses.

Rose ceremony time! The girls can decline roses if they are so inclined, but if they go not get a rose, they are sent home.

Marquel is about to give out a rose when Michelle K. interrupts. She says she never made a connection with anyone while on the island, so she is going home. Chris questions her, but tells her there is a car waiting. The guys find this hilarious. Michelle M. says she always looks like she is crazy and looks like she will kill people.

Marquel gives his rose to Michelle M.

Graham give his rose to AshLee.

Dylan gives his rose to Elise.

Marcus gives his rose to Lacy.

Robert gives his rose to Clare.

Ben gives his rose to Sarah.

Daniella is sent home. I completely forgot she was even on the show. She leaves in tears.

As an aside, the best moment was Lacy's 80/40 math. Maybe the show should have math tutors? Followed closely by people expecting I love yous after a week. A WEEK.

Join us next week for more drama and the real reason for why Michelle M. left Bachelor in Paradise. Goodnight.

Well AshLee has certainly not changed one single bit since Sean's season. Within the first 30 minutes she was having hissy fits. I think once this woman puts her stake on a guy, everyone else better look out.

I did not like Marquel at all on Andi's season, but last night I actually thought he was okay. I think he and Michelle Money will have some fun together. I wonder why Michelle and Graham split up....they seem to be really close and care for each other.

I totally forgot about the nutcase Michelle K. from Jake's season, but apparently from the previews, she is still nutty as ever.

I'm glad Marcus did not give the rose to Sarah. It would have been a pity rose and she certainly was not the one he was interested. I also thought it was very awkward when they were in the cave and she asserted herself in asking to kiss him. There was absolutely no connection between them. I think Sarah has very little confidence in herself and the way she compensates for that is always trying to be "the nice girl". She tries too hard to be part of the Bach Nation and she just doesn't seem to fit. And I don't mean you have to be drunk, loud and sleeping around to fit in, but I just don't see her personality as one that fits in. Besides being boring, she's just a whiner.

I had to laugh when Lacy was walking on the beach towards everyone in that pink suit at the beginning and the guys said "WHO is that?" I think they were all thinking "who is that with the huge boobs?" LOL Lacy is a player. I think she wants the attention of all the guys, while she is not 100% interested in any one in particular.

I was also waiting for one of the girls to trip as they tried walking down those steps in those shoes. Maybe there will be a blooper with one of them tripping.

So it looks like we will be seeing the bachelor nation serial creeper Chris B. next week. His job must be trying to be anywhere the bach folks are. Wonder if he reads all the stuff written about him? Then again, Brooks rates pretty high on the creep scale.

Brooks is not my cup of tea, either, but I believe his presence will impel some of the ladies to go after him. In some people's eyes he is sexy; in mine he needs a hair cut.

As for Chris B., he seems to be sticking his nose in all the Bachelor pies, so to speak. Reminds me of Jesse C. from Deanna's season who just could not let go of it.

Hello, everyone. Good grief. Every time I go to sign in here, I forget my password. This time, I'm going to write it down! LOL

I enjoyed the show. Lacy was bugging me, as she was bouncing back & forth off of Robert & Marcus. How disrespectful to the guys & the other women who would like to have a chance with one of them. I guess some women think that having big bewbies will give them the edge to beat the other ladies out of the running. I hope Sarah ends up with Robert. They both seem like very sweet people.

Being rather new to the Bach series, I was pleasantly surprised that I knew most of the cast. Ben proved to be as big an ass as he was on Des's season. I wonder why he chose Sarah to give his rose to? Any thoughts on that?

I know that I might get some static on this but I like Clare. In Juan Pablo's season, she was just a girl after the guy & went to an extreme to get him. 'Cept, she didn't. I wanted him to choose her but what do I know? Last night, she showed that she has a kind heart. AshLee didn't seem to appreciate the gesture, did she? That girl is in need of some therapy & perhaps valium, imo. Why does she feel entitled to Graham just because she follows him on twitter? Did I miss something?

I LOL at the scene where Clare was crying & talking to the raccoon. I want one of those critters! They are uber cute! If I can't have one of those, I'll take Dylan. Dirty hands & all! Giggle

I think Ben gave Sarah a rose to stay another week. Perhaps Daniella had already rejected his advances? lol

I agree about Ashlee. She's kinda like someone standing within a circle and brandishing a knife. Everyone is afraid to move lest she lunge forward. ALL of the contestants seem cowed by her, including Graham. I'm thinking he gave her the rose so he, too, could stay until someone better came along. Lord knows, she was going to accept. He'll need to make sure all the guys are on board before he gives her a veto. Otherwise, he'll pay hell until she's off the set.

Ashlee seems practiced at intimidation to get what she wants. She has that laser focus and the world should come to a stop because it's Ashlee's way. There is no highway!

Clare's generosity has me wondering. I saw a lot of negative spin on the ABC board about Michelle Money's behavior on the Bach. She behaved like a clutching black widow spider. I'm wondering if they put certain women up to portray this type. From what I've seen of Michelle on BP, she's witty and quite likeable. Will Clare be the same? We shall see.

Did you notice that most of the women on this show have the big bewbies as you put it. I think Erica Rose's father gets a lot of bachelorette business. Myself I find them unattractive when they don't match the rest of the body but then I'm not a man and that could be the difference. LOL I think AshLee had an enhancement done since Sean's season as well. Seems like Des is in the minority there because she has said she has no interest in breast enhancement and that she is happy with the way she is. Good for Des!!!

I don't think AshLee will ever change and she will continue to be Fatal Attraction II. I wonder if Graham finds anything attraction to her or if he was just giving her a pity rose. I hope it was just a pity rose. I think that is what Ben did with Sarah and I'm not so sure that was a good idea - Sarah does not belong there period IMO.

I think with Clare she knows what AshLee is like and just didn't want to play her game and there was Robert there anyway so why bother - smart on Clare's part. AshLee seems to think she is entitled to have who she wants and I don't know where she has gotten that idea unless her adoptive parents gave it to her. She is the most un-thankful person I have ever seen. I keep wondering when Karma is going to catch up with her.

BHG you don't need to worry Dylan has said he washes his hands now every time. He said he had Purel with him before and used it so he always had clean hands. I really don't want to see him get hurt and wish he would not have come on this show to begin with. I hope he does walk away if Elise shows any interest at all in Chris B.

I got to thinking about Michelle calling Graham aside when she first arrived. I know they're still good friends and I wondered if she was getting the scoop on who had already formed couples before she chose someone for a date. I think they'll be sharing info from both sides.

I'm also wondering if the producers asked Graham to keep Ashlee so they could continue to get discussion about her. If someone arrives who rings his bell, he can then dump her. Let's face it. He and Michelle have been around long enough to work with TPTB. They can also work with one another to share info on who's interested in who and who might be a bad choice. He might have told her that Marquel had no attachment.

I'm having a problem. Most times when I type Graham, it comes out Grant. If I don't catch myself, you'll know who I mean. *frown* Don't know why I do this almost every time!

I don't really know why Graham gave AshLee the rose, she is one scary and strange woman! She definitely can bring on the drama for TPTB that is for sure.

IMHO if any of the female contestants is looking for a long-term relationship with Graham, she is barking up the wrong tree. I don't think he intends to settle down with anyone. I think he enjoys the chase and the attention, but anything more and he is going to run the other way.

Oh, of course! I hadn't thought of that. I forgotted that the rose has to be accepted to stay on.

It's kind of funny but now I'm seeing the pattern of the Bach bubble players. Clare was in Juan Pablo's season as Nick was to Andi. Confident that she was going to be the F1, right up until the last week. Hhhhmn. Are all of the season's like that? I suppose they would be, as if you're in the F1,2,3 spot, you'd have to be fairly confident that you could take home the big prize. Of course, Clare & Nick both thought they were front runners very early on. They were correct in thinking that, though.

Oh, back on track, now. I didn't know anything about Michelle Money but I liked her the other night. I don't find her as beautiful as some of the guys on the board do but she is an attractive woman. I thought that Daniella was very pretty & was one of the most attractive females there. She just must not have clicked with anyone. Too bad for her.

If Elise was trying to make Dylan jealous by going in the ocean with Chris B., she took it way too far, didn't she? If you truly like a man, you wouldn't even think about kissing someone else, imo. Or is that just old fashioned thinking on my part? Elise said that it was love at first sight when she saw Dylan. Yeah, right. He might be better off without that one.

I didn't watch Juan Pablo's season so I am not familiar with Elise. What was she like on his season? I think Dylan is too street smart for her shenanigans. I don't think you are old fashioned - you just have some morals and a set of standards that are very good. I put a video up on Episode 2 preview thread that I think has a conversation with Dylan and Elise and I don't think he is going to play her game. I hope it doesn't end up in him going home but I didn't think he should be on this show to begin with ~ I think him and Marcus are too nice for this kind of show. JMO

As I recall, Dylan had experienced the death of his brother and I think someone else. (My memory fails me sometimes.) He is vulnerable and does not feel like getting hurt any more. Who can blame him?

Yes Dylan lost both his brother and his sister. The brother was the most recent though and I don't know if it has been a year yet or not since he lost his brother. He is just too nice of a person for this franchise IMO.

During Andi's season, they played up his recent tragedies. But after watching his talk with Marcus, I think he's simply low-key, low-drama, and quite level-headed. Lots of hyphens. lol. According to the spoilers, it doesn't bode well for him next week.

I agree about adults playing games. Elise should be old enough to know better. Why mess up what you feel is a good thing?

Sorry that I didn't reply to this last night, SLA. I was busy with a few other things online & got distracted.

If I recall correctly, Elise was pretty quiet on Juan's season. There were a few times that she said something snarky about Nikki & Clare, though. I can't remember what, exactly. I liked her from the start but that may have been because they said she was a school teacher. I have an admiration for teachers. I know that I could never be one & I'm so grateful for good teachers that care about their students. So, I liked her, thought she was very pretty & had a figure to die for. I recall that space (I think) put up a thread about her doing a lingerie video & the board went a little coo coo over that. I watched & thought it was stupid, probably something that she regrets doing now. IDK.

I'll watch that video when I'm finished mowing. I have 2 yards to mow today so it will be awhile. I'm just in for a lunch break right now.

I'm sure Elise went into the ocean with someone else, not Chris B. We've not had the "pleasure" of seeing him on BIP yet. I don't know who she went into the ocean with, and I'm too lazy to go through my VCR tape to see who it was.

If I remember correctly, Elise was eliminated by JuanPablo early on.

Eagerly awaiting next week's sleaze fest. LOL.
