Fleiss barked to his assistant, "Give that Loves
Romance a raise! And let's get her on board now for our new show that
will rival Entertainment Tonight and that other show. You know what I'm
talking about, the new ABC show covering tabloid type news to be called Hollywood
Tinsel Tonight
. That Loves is a natural!"

Meanwhile, Bonnie and Fred sat down on Tuesday evening
and began planning their wedding. The first decision was, of course, the
all important date. They knew they wanted about a six month engagement,
so when they saw that that would bring them to March. Hmmm!
March! No, not St. Patrick’s Day! That would be a bit too
much. And besides, the Bonnet's were Scottish, not Irish. The first
day of spring! March 21st. That sounded like a great day and it
just happened to be a Saturday. Even better! With the date so
easily decided, the next decision would have to be the location.

After Eric and Brett had left, Richard picked Sara up and
whirled her around. Then he carried her over to the love seat where he
sat down and pulled her onto his lap. Sara put her arms around Richard
and hugged him tight. “I’m so glad you didn’t give up,” she told
Richard. “Well, I almost did, but after that Time Machine accident and
how you hugged me and kissed me that day, I just decided I had to give it
my all and fight for what I really want, which is you.” Richard said, running
his finger down her cute little turned up nose and then kissing her on the
corner of her mouth. “Sara, I just had a terrible thought, what if I
hadn’t known you the best and I hadn’t won the game?” “Oh, I knew you
would win. Besides, if you didn’t, I was prepared to give the winner a
prize, but tell them that you had still won my heart.” “Hmmm!
Thinking of prizes . . . What’s my prize?” “Me, you Dummie!
Am I going to have to get one of those books from my Dad’s study?"
“No, that’s OK. You’re the only prize I need! But I do think we
need to work on this kissing technique of ours." “OK! I’ll just
pull out Dad’s copy of How to Knock Her
Socks Off With a Kiss for Dummies!
” “See, I told you. You needed one of those Dummie books.”

Richard and Sara returned to school on Tuesday eager to see
their students and so happy that they could now be together practically
24/7. Of course, they had to be discreet at school for two reasons.
One was that the Bonnet Bachelorette Show would not air for another two months
and they were under contract not to give away the outcome of the show.
They also knew it was unwise for their students to see them carrying on like a
couple of teenagers. They did however, have a few private meetings in the
book closet upon occasion to brush up for their personal course on Kissing 101.

On Monday night, Suzie Q. and Bob rode away in the
Cinderella coach. Bob wondered where they could possibly be going at
almost midnight, but he was enjoying the novelty of sitting in the equivalent
of a big crystal pumpkin and figured he could wait and see what happened.
He also wondered what the folks on that Washington, D.C.
metro would think of their "mountain man" now! Suzie was
just enjoying sitting beside Bob. She was relieved that Matt and Brian
had both taken her decision so well. As a nurse, she hated to hurt
anyone, so she was glad that Matt had a former girl friend who had
resurfaced and that Brian was going to be the next Bachelor (perhaps after Jason, perhaps not).
There was just something about Bob that made her melt inside. He was
6'4" of gorgeous hunk, but he was also smart and funny and interesting and
the chemistry with him sent wonderful tingles running up and down her
spine. Suzie leaned against Bob's shoulder saying, "I'm tired, but
I'm so happy to be with you."

"I feel the same way, but I'm a little surprised.
I wasn't sure you were ready to pick any of us." "It wasn't
easy. You all are great guys and any girl would be lucky to have any one
of you, but I knew, for all of our sakes, I had to make a decision. Matt
is adorable and a lot of fun, but I can't really see me as a farmer's wife in
Nebraska and, in the end, we just seemed to be friends more than anything
else. With Brian, it’s always been different. We’ve been friends
for a long time, but I had to give the possibility of a future with him a
chance. I tried, but it just wasn't meant to be. Bob, now that it’s
just the two of us, I can tell you how I really feel.”

Suzie kissed Bob and stroked his cheek. She loved his
soft beard. “When you were Sara’s Bachelor and we all went on that group
date to the Blue Moon Outdoor Center, my heart almost stopped as I got to know
you for the first time. It was then I knew I had to make a trade with
Sara and I hoped against hope that she didn’t have the same feelings for you
that I did. I’m so glad she didn't and that she finally gave Richard
a chance. They’re perfect for each other.” Bob and Suzie kissed and
cuddled as they drove through Miami. Bob started to laugh when he finally
figured out where they were going. Where
else, but the Blue Moon Outdoor Center, where their romance had begun?

AWWWW! Thanks,

exposure to those lovely darlings at school! Feeling better now and back
for a half day tomorrow as a "floater!" Sending Love, S&T

On Monday, with their honeymoon officially over, Louise had
returned to work at KMPG and client, Coca-Cola, and Ron had had lunch with an
old friend at the Polo Club he hoped to play for. That night, they took
Stacy to Miami Heat for dinner. They were seated at one of the best
tables in the house. After a few mojitos, the three were feeling very
comfortable. When the waiter returned for their orders, Stacy chose the
braised lamb with rosemary, asparagus, and mint jelly. Louise now knew
better than to order anything Diablo, so she got the plain, roast chicken with
parsley potatoes and green beans. Ron ordered Robert’s Duck L’Orange
which came with rice and grilled veggies. Louise started to protest, but
Ron charmingly put his index finger over her lips and said, “Now, dear, I know
your family doesn’t eat duck, but I didn’t promise cousin Ty I wouldn’t eat it,
and I happen to like duck and I am going to have it tonight!” “Yes,
dear!” said Louise. And with that conversation, Ron let it be known who “wore
the pants in the family!”

As the entrées arrived, Robert joined the threesome and was
introduced to the ladies by Ron. Stacy’s eyes almost popped out of her
head when she saw the handsome, rosy-cheeked chef! Robert had also
decided to try his own duck specialty. “Quality control!” he explained to
the others. “It’s important for me to know what it’s like to be on the
receiving end of my dishes.” “The lamb is luscious,” said Stacy coyly,
batting her eyelashes at Robert. “Well, I’m glad you like it, but that
was made by my sous chef. Of course, he followed my recipe.”
“I’d follow you . . . I mean your recipe anytime,” cooed Stacy
mesmerized by Robert shoveling his own duck into his mouth and chewing it with
a pleased expression on his face. “Have you written a cookbook?” Stacy
asked. Robert swallowed and took a swig of water, “Funny you should
mention that. I’m working on one right now.”

The plane touched down in Tennessee right on schedule.
Lara and Paul had snuggled the whole way, enjoying the first class seats which
ABC had provided. Instead of a limo, they had a rented Mustang
convertible waiting for them at the airport. Paul drove to the cabin
while Lara navigated. Paul had never spent time in the Smokeys and was in
awe of the scenery. The view from the cabin balcony left him
speechless. A foggy mist hovered over the top of the mountains. He could
feel the deeply spiritual atmosphere that surrounded this area. Lara
joined him by the railing. She slipped her arms around him from behind
and standing on tiptoe, rested her chin on his shoulder.

“Like what you see?” she asked.

He turned around and gave her a knee shattering kiss.
Looking deep into her eyes he responded, “It’s beautiful, from every
direction.”

After another long kiss, Lara stood back and looked suddenly
nervous. “Paul, we haven’t really talked about sleeping arrangements on
this trip.”

“Well, I’m sure we will sleep sometime.” Paul gave her
a wicked grin and came in for another kiss. He was not prepared to have
Lara stop him with a hand against his chest.

“Wait. First I need to say this. I probably
should have before but……. Paul things have been so crazy. We really
haven’t known each other very long. I’m falling for you so hard and so
fast. I’m not looking for some intense little affair for the cameras that
ends as soon as reality steps in.”

“Lara, I’m not either. I want to build something real
with you. Isn’t that what we are doing?”

“Yes, we are. And I don’t want to ruin it by rushing
too fast. Paul, sex is important to me-“

Paul broke in, “Believe me, it is very important to me too.”

Lara laughed a bit nervously, “That isn’t exactly what I
mean. It’s something I couldn’t do just for fun. I mean, I want it
to be fun, but - “Her face was now as scarlet as the roses on the coffee
table. “I don’t want it to be just fun. When I make love to a man I
want it to be because I am promising forever.”

Paul looked a bit startled as her meaning sunk in.
“You mean you are a virgin?”

“Yes. I know that is not exactly the standard anymore,
but it just seems right to me. I just never wanted to share that part of
me with someone and have us just breakup and walk away. Does that……bother
you?”

Paul took a few moments to answer. He realized
that his response to this could make a huge difference in what happened to their
relationship. And he wanted to be honest. He was dealing with two
issues, Lara’s virginity and the fact that she was telling him they would not
be sleeping together in the cabin. The first surprised him. The
second was a pretty big disappointment at the moment.

Finally he reached out and touched her face softly.
“Lara, this wasn’t something I was expecting. Part of me thinks it is
really wonderful that you haven’t been with anyone before and part of me feels
weird because, well, I have.”

Lara spoke quickly, “That isn’t a problem for me,
Paul. Most guys our age have sexual experience. Most girls
too. I would have been pretty amazed if you hadn’t.”

“The other thing is,” now it was Paul’s turn to get a little
red, “I want you. I definitely had plans along that line for
tonight. I guess I shouldn’t have just assumed, but….”

“I should have said something before. I just didn’t
know quite how. I want you too, Paul, believe me. I just want to
let our feelings grow for awhile. I need to give us time to fall in love
all the way.”

Paul pulled her close and kissed her gently. “I can
give you the time, Lara. It won’t be easy. Especially not when I
look at that hot tub, but I don’t just want you for a weekend or a couple of
months. I want you for a long, long time. I think I’m going to want
you forever. So you are worth waiting for and if that means separate
rooms and wearing bathing suits in the hot tub, I can handle it. I won’t
try to persuade you to change your mind. Well, at least not with words.”
His next kiss was not gentle. It was deep and incredibly seductive.
Lara responded just as intensely, then pulled back and smiled. “I don’t think
it will be very easy for either of us. But I do think it will be worth
it.”

After one more kiss they went inside to dress for the
evening. They had a romantic dinner scheduled at the Heidleburg Castle.
They would have to take a sky tram up high on one of the mountains and then
dine while looking down at the incredible view. Then tomorrow, Dollywood!

Jenny and Penny were EXHAUSTED after their trip to Seattle
and the whirlwind dream-er nightmare. After they were given the puppies from
their sweethearts, the duo decided to take day or two to decompress, mull over
some names for the little ones and recharge their batteries-the
figurative kinds. The twins were thrilled with the latest additions to their
family, and wondered how on earth the guys thought of getting them such perfect
presents. Neither girl cared much for material items such as jewelry and
fancy cars. They loved gi-fts that came from the heart, and the little chipups
were the perfect touch. Dakota told the girls that it was a rather long story
but when he and Jason got back from Seattle they would tell them just how the
fur babies (thanks loves!) wound up in that big box. Jason was going back to
see Ty for a couple of days, and Dakota was scouting a location for a
documentary he was filming soon in Seattle. And so the girls had some time with
their little ones, and Mrs.B., thinking she was just marrying off her
daughters, was suddenly finding more and more four footed inhabitants in the
castle. One interesting thing Mrs. B. was discovering about herself that was a
total surprise: she not only liked having the little pets underfoot, but she
missed them when they were not around! She even took to carrying little dog
treats in her pockets while making her rounds of the castle. And the little
puppies recognized a soft touch when they saw one...

Jenny and Penny had no idea what they were in for when they
brought their little "babies" upstairs to turn in for the night. The
pups woke often, and the girls were somewhat at a loss as to what each cry
meant. They soon realized they needed to consult some book or internet guide
that would help them "train" their little "darlings." The
girls were so sleep deprived that they started sniping about how convenient it
was that the guys just sort of dumped the puppies on the girls and then
"ran." And how "wasn't that just like a man to run out on
responsibility!" It was during one of those sleepless nights that they
found the magic of the Dog Whisperer-Cesar Millan! They were awakened by the
little whines of the puppies-who are nameless-btw-and turned on the tv. Animal
Planet was on and was airing the latest episode. The girls never really paid
close attention to it before, but tonight the show featured a couple having
problems with their two chihuahuas of all things! One dog was showing dominance
problems as in-"It's all about me and you are nothing in this house you
little mutt so get outta my way!" The other little chihuahua seemed to be
tired of always being stalked and so became very defensive. Jenny and Penny
were riveted to the screen and didn't even notice that their two little
sweeties were snoring away and could care less about the dogs on the show. They
were amazed at how one man really understood these dogs and showed the owners
how to calmly get control of the situation. After a few practices the dogs were
friendly to each other and not at each other's throats, literally. The twins
were astounded and wanted to call Cesar immediately to find out the secret to
his success in the dog world. They were also impressed by the fact that not
only had Cesar repaired the relationship of the dogs, but saved the marriage of
the owners as well! The stress of the fighting dogs created fractures between the
couple and this contributed to the throwing around of the D word in the
household. After everyone made amends, the healing began. Cesar's use of
psychology and common sense saved the day and the girls were hooked on their
new favorite television show, next to The Bachelor of course.SmileSmile Jenny and
Penny decided it was time to get a handle on the puppy situation-they didn't
want to have a hopeless situation on their hands like that poor couple. They
went down to their father's study to check out some books to help them, and
decided it was also time to name their little ones-who were ADORABLE...

Fred was searching the Castle looking for Bonnie when he ran
into Jane in the Library. He was actually happy to have a chance to speak
with Jane alone about a matter he felt she should know about. “Jane,
I want you to know how happy I am that you and Jeremy have mended your
fences.” “Oh, Fred,” Jane chuckled, “We did get off on the wrong foot at
first, but he’s growing on me.” “I hope you know just how highly he
regards your respect and also how crazy he is about you.” “Well, I think
I’m getting the idea, but it’s nice to know someone else sees it, too!”
“Oh, I don’t just see it! I hear about it all the time!” “Well,
that’s interesting.”

“Jane, I also feel that you should know something
that Jeremy would rather be kept secret.” “Hmmm! I’m not sure what
you’re talking about.” “It has to do with Ron and Louise. You see,
in Scotland, it was Jeremy who insisted that Ron marry your sister and, let’s
just say, made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.” “What does that mean?”
asked Jane with concern. “I’m only telling you this, so you understand
just how much he has
to help your family. Ron was flat broke when he met Louise and had no
future to speak of. He saw Louise as a meal ticket and a way into
respectable society. Jeremy made it worth his while to honor his promise
and marry Louise. He will be giving Ron One Million Dollars a year for
life as long as he remains married to Louise and is faithful to her.”

“I had no idea,” said Jane, sittling down abruptly in a chair as her face paled
with shock. “We owe Jeremy so much. We could never repay
him.” “Jane, he doesn’t want repayment. He feels a responsibility
for Ron because of their childhoods and Ron is better off for marrying
Louise. I can see that Ron is actually relieved that he doesn’ t have to
live by his wits and conniving any longer. I’d also stake my life on the
fact that he genuinely loves Louise. So, as in Shakespeare’s words, 'Alls
Well That Ends Well!'” “I guess,” said Jane, “but I had no idea what a
wonderful man Jeremy is until right now. Thank you, Fred, for telling me
this!” “Jane, like I said, Jeremy wants to put it all behind him, but I
thought it was important for you to know the truth. Jeremy is one heck of
a guy!” “Yes, I can see he is.”

Suzie Q. and Bob woke up on Tuesday morning still fully
dressed, but sleeping beside each other in their fantasy world tent. They
had fallen asleep talking and kissing and cuddling. Bob left the tent to
take a shower at the campsite restroom and dress for the day in casual
clothes. While he was gone, Suzie changed from her light blue and lace
Cinderella dress into jeans and a t-shirt. While she was waiting for Bob,
ABC catering arrived with a Continental breakfast and set it up on the table,
which had been moved outside the tent, so that the couple could enjoy the
magnificent view while they ate. Bob returned, claiming he was “as
hungry as a bear,” and then proved that he really was! While they ate and
revived themselves with some fine Dunkin Donuts coffee, they discussed the
future. “Suzie, I want to take you to meet my folks in Phoenix and then
you need to see my place in Flagstaff.” “I’d love to go. While
we're there, I really want to see the Grand Canyon. I’ve never been
there.” “Your wish is my command!” replied Bob. “When can you be
ready to go?” “Well, I’m still on Leave from the Hospital, so how about
tomorrow?” “Sounds like a plan!” said Bob. “I’ll call my parents and let
them know we’re on our way.”

Paul surprised Lara the next morning with breakfast in
bed. He had quietly knocked on her bedroom door and told her she had
fifteen minutes to get ready for him to invade the room. She ran in to
brush her teeth, wash her face, and put on the plush robe that was provided in
the cabin. When he knocked again she was seated back under the
covers.

He entered with a tray that included strawberry crepes,
coffee, and orange juice for two. Lara couldn’t believe that he had made
the crepes himself. They were so delicious! He credited Robert for
the recipe. “Living several weeks with a chef was good for a lot of
things!” he laughed. The final thing he unveiled was a tall, foamy glass
of chocolate milk.

“How did you know I love chocolate milk!” exclaimed Lara.

“I won’t reveal my sources,” teased Paul, “but it didn’t
surprise me at all. I love that you still have a lot of little girl in
you. It fits the little boy in me.” Then they shared a sweet good
morning kiss.

Lara was embarrassed that she couldn’t stop yawning.
They had spent a very late night relaxing in the hot tub and then talking for
hours while they snuggled by the fire. Lara had fallen asleep in his arms
and he watched her sleeping for awhile before waking her to send her to
bed. She now apologized for her trouble getting fully awake. “I’m
not exactly a morning person ever.”

“That’s ok. But I should warn you that I am! I
should have let you get to bed sooner last night. You looked so adorable
sleeping in my arms. I wanted to carry you to your bedroom, but I knew if
I did that I would never want to leave you there alone. And I promised to
respect your choice in that.”

Lara threw her arms around his neck and almost upset her
chocolate milk. “Paul, you are an amazing man! How did I get so
lucky?”

He kissed her nose and said, “I don’t know, but you must
have done something pretty spectacular!” They laughed and shared one more
kiss before each of them left to get ready for Dollywood.

Lara and Paul both agreed they had a “ridiculous” time at
Dollywood. Because of the camera crew, they were escorted to the head of
each line. People stared at them as they tried to figure out who the
“celebrity couple” could be. They started on Thunder Head and Lara
screamed in Paul’s ear as the roller coaster careened around each curve.
Then they headed to Adventure Mountain, an elaborate fitness course that tested
the ability of the unathletic Lara. Paul took the high rope ladders and
challenges in stride. He helped Lara when he could but she was content to
just observe the roughest part of the course. The exercise combined with
the sun rising higher in the sky and made them very warm. They decided ot
head for Blazing Fury, an indoor roller coaster complete with flames and a
splash down at the end that soaked them with water. Since they were
already wet, their next choice was River Battle. They got on a raft with
six other people. Not only was the course filled with “rapids” that
splashed over the sides of the raft, but each person was equipped with an
attached super soaker squirt gun. They battled passengers on the other
rafts and got into a serious engagement with three 11 year old boys. The
combat ended in a draw with all the soldiers drenched to the skin.

By this time, Lara and Paul were starving. They
discussed possible lunch choices and at the same moment called out,
“Pizza!” They ate their huge slices of pepperoni with gooey trails of
cheese as they sat on a bench and let the sun dry them. Both were anxious
to see the Eagle Mountain Sanctuary where live eagles were displayed. The
birds were amazing. The eagles soared into the air and then returned to
their trainers. Paul and Lara learned much about these majestic birds and
thought this was the highlight of the day. They enjoyed a couple of the
shows and Lara admitted she had become a little bit of a music snob at Indiana
University where only classical music was really appreciated. She found
the country music both fun and much more connected to the reality of life than
what she usually preferred.

Much of the Mystery Mine roller coaster was in the
dark. They discovered that kissing while flying down hills in blackness
was a whole new thrilling experience and repeated the ride several times.
Of course, the splashdown at the end soaked them again and by now the evening
chill had set in. They decided to check out the shops to get Dollywood
sweatshirts so they could warm up. Paul was fascinated by the Mountain
Slate Works where artists painted wonderful pictures on slate tiles. He
was particularly impressed by a large one that featured an eagle flying over
the mountains with autumn leaves in their glory. He protested when Lara
promptly bought the painting for him.

“I want to always remember today,” she told him. It
was his turn when they went to the glassware shop. He found a glass
pendant that reflected prisms of rainbows and placed it around Lara’s
neck. Then they turned the corner in the store and saw a beautiful
crystal lion. Remembering Lara’s favorite necklace, Paul insisted that
she had to have it as well. Both of them felt very spoiled as they headed
back to the cabin.

That night, neither of them slept in their rooms. They
just piled quilts in front of the fire and curled up together. Lara woke
in the night to hear Paul softly snoring. It was a strange but very
pleasant sensation to her, sleeping next to a man. Although the rhythm
his snoring didn’t change, he reached out and took Lara’s hand.

“Even in his dreams he is so tender,” marveled Lara, and at
that moment, she fell in love.

After many tests, it was revealed that Twilley was
simply~exhausted! Kara had lent him a copy of
Men
Who Do Too Much For Dummies
, and the lightbulb went off~I need a vacation!
So the two lovebirds
decided to go to the beautiful Berkshires for a little R & R. Overlooking
Stockbridge Bowl(no that's
not a bowling alley folks, just a scenic overlook), they sat on a bench
together, arms all entwined,
and he whispered ever so softly "Darling, will you marry me?" Kara
answered with a kiss...

AWWWWW Travy!! How
sweet!! We love that! And great title for that book-haha:)Smile

Jenny and Penny were excited to watch the Vice Presidential
Debate. They realized how important this was for both sides of the race. Now
neither Jenny nor Penny was very fluent in "politicalese" but had
been reading more with this election. They had voted in the two presidential
elections before this one and pretty much agreed on the issues and candidates.
They even went to the voting booths together and that caused a bit of confusion
seeing as they were twins and the volunteers weren't wearing their glasses to
check the list. But that was just another mix up, and one of many in their
lives.

As the girls sat down to watch it together of course, the moderator introduced
the debaters and immediately Penny was perplexed. "Jenny-where's Senator
Clinton," she asked innocently. Jenny held up her hand and hissed
"SSHHH!" The questions were being asked, and Penny was confused, but
held her tongue and watched Sarah Palin and Senator Obiden. Why was he
answering questions and what was Sarah doing with that new hairstyle, Penny
asked herself. Her mind wandered somewhat and she took this little "note
to self:" do not have piecey bangs, and double do not put thick blond
highlights in medium brown hair if you are running for VPOTUS-Penny made that
one up herself!! When Penny snapped back to reality it was just in time to hear
Senator Obiden come back with a very smart response to a question about the
economy. Penny was floored. She so loved Gov. Palin-and Tina Fey,and yet
was-strangely-understanding Obiden's ideas. They really made sense to her, and
this in itself was a miracle for economics was NOT Penny's forte. And she STILL
wondered what happened to Hillary!

Finally there was a break in the action and Jenny addressed
Penny's raised hand: what was That guy Obiden doing there and where was
Hillary? Jenny just chortled! "Penny-that guy is Senator BIDEN-there is no
"O" in front of his name-haha! And Hillary Clinton is not the running
mate-Senator Biden is,silly!" Well-THERE were two OMG moments for Penny
back to back! While Penny was busy lifting her jaw off the carpeted floor, the
debate was on again and the girls continued to watch it with great interest.
Finally the time was up and everybody was shaking hands.

The girls began discussing the debate with a fervent
intensity. Jenny was so impressed with Gov. Palin's knowledge of the energy
situation and loved her down home approach to solving the crises facing
America. Then Penny began criticizing Palin's hair, and her periodic inability
to stay on topic. "Really, Penny-her hair is what you don't like?"
And then Penny told Jenny how she liked Obiden-er-Biden's stand on the economy
and loved the moment when talking about being a single dad and how sweet that
was. Then it was Jenny's turn to ask about Biden's angry questions and
"what was his real answer to terrorism? Raising taxes!"

Suddenly the girls looked at each other in "mid
debate." They realized that their comments not only could have come
straight out of the book Debating for Dummies, but more importantly, this
showed the girls that they were rooting for opposing candidates!! Neither twin
could actually grasp that at first. And then another fact slapped them in the
face/s: they each supported a candidate that was the opposite of their personal
stance! Penny was the more "folksy" of the two and Jenny was the more
"gutsy" twin. Well that "One Brain Two People Theory" was being
stretched all out of shape so to speak! The girls were very much beginning to
think and act as two separate entities; as daunting as that was for them it was
also a huge relief. Jenny and Penny realized that this was their next step in
growing up. They didn't have to agree on everything. It was very empowering for
them to be able to discuss and disagree without a confrontation, verbal OR
physical. And now the girls were so filled with the glow of self revelation
they didn't even notice this itty bitty change. Penny was not for Palin even
though her name began with a "p" and Jenny was not for Biden even
though his name was "alphabetically first." And while this difference
seemed small- it could turn out to have a "bit" more of an impact in
their lives than one would think...

Saturday's sun rose in that slow Southern style that crept
up on Jenny when she wasn't looking. Today would be a rather lazy day for her
and she was grateful for that. Jason and Dakota would be coming home the next
day and she and Penny wanted to do something special with their men since they
had been gone for what seemed to be longer than the Dan Fogleberg song
"Longer Than." Jenny began humming and singing that song. She became
swept up in the sweet melody and couldn't stop thinking about Jason. As she
danced through the lyrics of the song she got caught up in the movement and the
moment. Sunday could not come fast enough for Jenny.

As suddenly as the song began it ended. She was abruptly
brought back to reality by Penny's plea for help. Jenny found her twin trying
to manage both puppies for their hundredth potty training session and the pups
were not cooperating. Jenny laughed at the sight of them because the little
ones were so cute and Penny was so frustrated. They really needed to consult
some books on dog training and soon, she thought. And they also had yet to
choose some names for the little darlings.

Mrs.B. was in the study when the girls walked in hoping to
find a book that would have some good dog training tips. Mrs. B. "puppy sat"
while the girls pored over the shelves in their search. Mrs. B. was cooing and
clucking over the little ones and Jenny and Penny liked seeing this side of
their mother, but frankly felt a little jealous that these canines were getting
all of this attention! "Aha," Jenny exclaimed. "I found it. "Reining In Your Chihuahua For
Dummies."
But there is a subtitle: "Who Are We Kidding
Here!" Great-a training disclaimer! Well, how about "Reigning In Your Chihuahua For Dummies." Yeah, another
subtitle: "A Princess' Guide To Training Your Owner, er, Parents," by
guess who-Paris Hilton. Ok then, last but not least,"Raining On Your Chihuahua For Dummies: The Effects of Inclement
Weather on Potty Training Your Chihuahua."
Geez-what our local
meteorologist won't do for a buck, Penny!" Just when they were about to
give up, Penny spied it: "Cesar
Millan's Complete Dog Training Guide."
"And look, Jen, squealed
Penny, "it's the Cliff Notes
version-piece of cake!"

The girls were relieved to have that problem solved, and now
on to the search for names. Penny wasn't sure if she wanted rhyming names or
not, since that can be obnoxious after a while. "How about Chi Chi and
ChaCha, asked Penny. Jenny just looked at her and said, "Next!"
"What about Gumby and Pokey?" "Really," groaned Jen. Then
Jenny told Penny she always liked the name Milly-big mistake. "Yeah-Milli
and Vanilli-love it Jen," crooned Penny. So Jenny started a list: Molly
and Holly
Beanie and Cecil(ia)
Roxy and Foxy
Riley and Miley
Lady and Tramp-ha, Jenny kept erasing that one!
Chipuita and Pipita (Chip & Pip for short, ha)
Muffin and Puffin-too close to the girls?
Babette and Lissette...
Jenny awoke to find a blanket thrown over her and Penny. The little babies were
asleep and curled up in the twins' arms. Penny was sawing some serious logs,
and Jenny briefly felt sorry for Dakota over that one, and then turned over and
fell back asleep on the couch in the study. Mrs.B. gave kisses to all four of
her "babies," pulled the blanket up, and quietly tip toed out leaving
them to their dreams...

The alarm went off and made such a clamor that the puppies
whimpered in fear. Penny made Jenny get up with her to watch their fav, Tina
Fey on SNL. Both girls leaned in to hear the "debate" on the comedy
show and were screaming in laughter. Tina Fey nailed the performance and even
Jenny appreciated the "maverick" jokes, winks, and "folksy"
talk by Ms. Fey. And the "Joseph Biden" look alike rocked-his fake
smile and pretentious air made Penny almost pe-e her pants! Queen Latifah was
the mortar that held THAT brick together and the twins tried not to wake the
entire castle with all their laughter and sputtering. It was such a great
release that even though the presidential race was a very serious matter, humor
was the key ingredient to heal the soul and hopefully both sides could laugh at
themselves a little and enjoy the ride...

Mrs. B. entered the study and watched her girls snoring and
stretching on Sunday morning. Surprisingly the puppies were still sleeping and
not even moving at all. She woke the girls and took the puppies out to do their
morning "business." Penny looked at Jenny and smiled the broadest
grin EVER in bachelor history. "Dakota and Jason will be back soon and
then we can plan our double date," Penny reminded Jenny, as if Jenny
needed reminding. The girls enjoyed a light breakfast of eggs and toast,
showered and got ready for the day. They wanted to look their best for the
boys, and also knew that the guys liked a more natural look for their girls.
Hair loose, little makeup, and bright smiles. The twins had beautiful smiles,
and next to their amazing eyes, that was their best physical asset.

While putting on the finishing touches to their toilette,
the twins discussed their futures. Jenny/Penny finally figured out that they
were much smarter than they gave themselves credit for. They began to rethink
the whole college experience, as in lack thereof. They decided to enroll in
college, whether it be in Florida or Seattle. They may not even end up at the
same school. They just knew that they wanted to expand their horizons and that
seemed to be the next logical step for them. They did not want to miss out on a
thing in life, and knew they could even go part time. They still wanted to be
involved in relief efforts around the US, and victim's rights was their next
challenge. Jenny and Penny had become energized by the election bug and that
switch had been turned on; the more good they could do in this lifetime the
better.

The girls got into the limo to make that trip to the
airport. In no time at all they saw their handsome devils walking toward them
and Penny almost set off another alarm in her attempt to get to Dakota before
the the check in process had been completed. Hugs and kisses, kisses and
hugs-the two duos were reunited at long last and all was right with the world.
The girls were starving and so the foursome went out to dinner. They went to
the Hard Rock Cafe and cuddled and laughed throughout their meal. After a round
of brandy and rum cake, the guys told the girls they had a surprise for the
them. The limo took the four to a downtown Miami theater that had been newly
renovated. As the couples entered the theater they were greeted by the cast of
the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and were there for a private showing WITH
the cast including the dogs! Both Jenny and Penny were overcome because they
wanted to see that movie, and wondered how many men would take their dates to
see it?? The only request that Dakota had was for the girls to pay special
attention to "Chloe"-the chihuahua lead(haha), and the treatment of
the stray dogs in general. The guys would not explain further, but Jenny's and
Penny's interest was definitely piqued...

The weeks had flown by and the final Monday evening of the
Bonnet Bachelorette Show was going to be taped in a few days. Chris
Harrison was being briefed on how the last episode would be handled. All
of the former Bachelors were invited back to the Castle for the evening and the
“BIGGEST COCKTAIL PARTY EVER!” The Bachelors that had been sent home were
even welcome to bring dates for the big evening, celebrating the end of the
“most popular” and “highest rated” Bachelor/Bachelorette show in history.
The Bonnet dolls and accessories, Jason’s Board Game, and the dollhouse and
other toys had hit the market well before the Christmas season and, even in the
depressed economy hitting America, were selling like “hot cakes!” Fleiss
rubbed his hands with glee and hit his Staples button: “That was easy!”

Jane and Jeremy had taken the past five weeks to really get
to know each other. Jane worked on her writing, while Jeremy was busy
during the weekdays at Struthers, Struthers, and Struthers, but they often had
dinner together in the evening and had even traveled to New York for an
extended weekend. They had seen A Chorus Line on Broadway, went to the
top of the Empire State Building which was something neither of them had done
before, they took the Circle line boat tour around the island of Manhattan, and
even went to one of the final Yankee games in the historic stadium, since
Jeremy was such a big baseball fan. Jane liked baseball as well.
Jane showed Jeremy where she had worked at Vanity Fair for two years and where
her apartment had been on the upper West side, and shared a huge Hot Fudge Sundae at Serendipity. The more they talked, the
more they found they had in common and the more the chemistry built between
them. They were becoming best friends as well as lovers.

Sara and Richard had found it hard to be discreet at school,
but they knew how important it was to keep their newfound relationship a
secret. Fortunately, they had always been friends, so everyone was
accustomed to seeing them together a lot, having lunch or just talking in the
teacher’s lounge. In the evenings, however, they found the Castle a
convenient meeting place out of the public eye and took to spending a lot of
time in the science lab located in the formerly “hidden room” behind Mr. B’s study.
They had spent several evenings cleaning it, piling up debris to be carried
away by Pedro and dusting all the cobwebs out of the corners. Richard had
wisely insisted they wear masks over their noses and mouths to protect them
from the clouds of dust raised by their cleaning. Once the room was
clean, they had moved in some comfortable furniture and Richard has
brought in some up-to-date, state-of-the art, modern lab equipment. As
the lab took on a polished and professional appearance, Richard teased that
they were going to have to work on a new formula for “Love Potion #9.”
Sara liked that idea and playfully started listing ingredients like 20 oz. of
devotion, 3 lbs. of affection, a bundle of hugs, a peck of
kisses, etc. Richard pulled her towards him, saying, “I like your
scientific approach to romance, Miss Bonnet! But, I think we need to run
a quality control test some of those ingredients!” He kissed her soundly
until both of their knees felt like jelly. Richard then picked up Sara
and carried her to the loveseat they had moved into the lab for a comfortable
place to sit. It was also their favorite place to cuddle!
