On Monday morning the phone rang in the Castle
kitchen. Colleen answered it. “Hello!” “Hello, this is
Fernando. Is Martha there?” Martha was in the pantry getting some
things for lunch. Colleen called her and Martha took the phone with “Who
is it?” “Some guy named Fernando. He sounds cute!” “Hello?”
said Martha. “Hi, Martha? This is Fernando. I know you don’t
know me, but those twins, Jenny & Penny, gave me your number. I was
one of the Bachelors that didn’t make the cut last week. The
twins thought we might be the perfect match. I know it's short
notice, but I have the evening off and I wondered if, by any chance, are you
free tonight?” “I don’t know about this. I mean, we haven’t even
met.” “Tell you what,” said the clever Fernando, “Tonight when all the
Bachelors show up at the front door for the Bonnet girls, I’ll meet you out on
the patio and we can just talk and get to know each other. If it makes
you feel any better, I made it through all the ABC screening stuff to be a
Bachelor, so you can be assured, I’m pretty safe. Susie Q. just didn’t
feel a connection with me last week, although she spoke pretty good
Spanish.” Well, with that Fernando had made a pretty good pitch for
himself and since Martha really didn’t have anything better to do, they made
plans to meet at 7:00 on the patio.

Jane helped Bonnie, who was a bundle of nerves, get ready
for what might be the biggest night of her life. Jane, herself, was
finding it hard to stay calm. She already knew what the outcome of the
evening would be with Peter and Jeremy. At least, if things went the way
she thought they would. She piled her own brown curls in a loose pony
tail that fell down her back. And used a diamond covered clasp, handed
down for generations to hold her hair in place. ABC then did their bit,
fluffing her curls, making sure the top had a nice lift to it and allowing
flattering tendrils to frame her oval shaped face. Then the makeup crew
took over. When they were done, Jane still looked like Jane, but the
prettiest Jane she had ever seen. Bonnie had undergone a similar
transformation and looked gorgeous. Fred was going to fall over when he
saw her. They both were dressed in satin gowns that were a soft green
color, because in addition to seeing their Bachelors this evening, they would
also be participating in Tara and Jerry’s wedding.

Susie Q. and Sara were also getting ready. They wore
the same green satin as their older sisters, but each girl had a dress cut
in a style that was just right for her. So, their dresses were made from the
same cloth, but not the same design. “What a difference a week makes!”
said Susie Q. “I know,” said Sara, “I can’t believe that out of all of
us, Louise got married first! And now Tara! By next week, who knows
if any of us will still be single.” “My bet’s on Bonnie and Fred . . . as
the next ones down the aisle.” “I'd say, that’s a pretty sure bet!”
agreed Sara.

In the Carriage House, Louise and Ron, who didn’t have to
worry about showing up until the Cocktail Party/Wedding, were wrestling with some
green satin of their own . . . sheets, that is. The two newlyweds had
spent the day in bed, blissfully enjoying each other’s company. “I wonder
why I wasn’t asked to be the Matron of Honor?" Louise queried, with an
adorable pout on her face. “Oh, they’re just jealous that you got married
first, Precious!” Ron wisely confided. Louise nodded, “I think you’re
right. I love my sisters, but sometimes I feel a bit left out.”
“Now we wouldn’t want you to feel that way, would we?” said Ron, grabbing Louise
and pulling her onto his chest. “You’ll always be “top dog” with me,
Baby! Did I ever show you . . .”

Both Jenny and Penny had to rush to get ready for the
cocktail party. Jenny had to text Jason about where they should meet later, and
she was nervous on so many levels this evening. She and Penny decided to wear
their a little differently this time: they straightened their hair (with help
from Jane and Bonnie), pulled their hair up and did a French Twist, but left
some bangs and shorter hair in the front and sides loose. They giggled as they
slipped into their twin pale green dresses, as the girls were having a
difficult time keeping their nicely endowed chests in place. Even though the
twins had turquoise eyes, the color of their dresses brought out a little more
of the green in their eyes, and they looked spectacular!

Jenny ran down the stairs and out to the pond area to see
Jason before the party began. She was feeling a little breathless but wasn't
sure if that was because of the running or the excitement of seeing Jason. She
was a little confused because she didn't see Jason waiting there, but then
someone came up behind her, grabbing her by the waist. This better be Jason,
she thought, turning to smile up at him. For once, Jenny didn't know what to
say, but Jason just kissed her, as her heart nearly pounded out of her chest!
After some moments, the two headed back to the castle, and talked about how
they missed each other, how much Jason had missed Ty, and how they wouldn't get
to spend the entire evening together. But when Jenny and Jason walked in to the
cocktail party/wedding, everyone took notice especially Mr. an Mrs. B. And
everyone wanted to know what was going on here. Penny could be heard calling
out for Jenny-this was the first time they hadn't walked in together. She
wasn't sure she liked what she saw because Jenny had never kept her in the dark
about ANYTHING before! But as the rest of the Bonnet girls began arriving with
their bachelors, the buzz in the room returned to the "business" at
hand and the evening was officially begun!

On Monday evening while Jenny was meeting Jason at the Duck
Pond, it was time for the Bachelors to arrive. For the earlier part of
the evening, ABC allowed things to be much less formal than the prior
week. The Cocktail Party/Wedding would take place two hours later.
So in the meantime, the remaining Bachelors just came into the Castle when they
arrived and went to their Bachelorettes. At this point, only the
Bachelorettes who were going to meet new Bachelors stayed in the foyer, while
the rest dispersed to other places in the Castle. Bonnie stood at the
foot of the staircase. Her heart was beating and in her mouth at the same
time (well, that’s a bit gross, but it was the sensation she was
feeling)! Suddenly her Fred walked in the door and crossed directly to
her. “Bonnie, you are a sight for sore eyes,” exclaimed Fred as he pulled
her into a big hug, kissed her, and then twirled her around. “Oh, Fred,”
sighed Bonnie, “I’ve missed you so much!” “Well, let’s make up for lost
time!” said Fred, taking her arm and leading her directly out of the Castle and
to their bench. Bonnie had told ABC that Fred was to be her Bachelor and
her one and only Bachelor. ABC was happy to comply because they knew Fred
was a great guy and they felt bad about what had happened to him with
DeAnna. Jane and Peter had been standing in the hallway by the mirror,
waiting for Jeremy to join them. Jeremy came in with a huge smile on his
face and gave Jane a hug and a kiss and Peter a “nug.” As they walked
towards Mr. B’s study, Jeremy could be heard saying, “Now, just what have you
two been up to while I was away?” Jane and Peter, exchanged affectionate
glances, and wondered just how much they should tell him.

Out on the bench in the garden, Bonnie and Fred were
catching up on what had happened during the week. Fred told her about his
successful research in Scotland regarding that Baa, Baa, Black Sheep ruling and
how he had gotten a big promotion without even starting at the Miami office
yet. Bonnie was delighted for him. Then Bonnie told Fred how she
had been working as a literary volunteer down at the Library and, Gina, a lady
she had been tutoring for quite a while, made a huge breakthrough on Thursday
and read a whole paragraph without any pauses or misreads. Fred told
Bonnie she was amazing. W
ell, let’s just say that before too long, Bonnie had her head on
Fred’s shoulder and they started discussing more personal things, which is what
they had both wanted to do all week.

Meanwhile, Jane was in J.B.’s study with Jeremy and
Peter. She and Peter had told Jeremy about the activities they’d enjoyed
while he was away and now Jane was filling in both of them about the latest, “
. . . Well, I told Chris Harrison that although I’m sure Matt is very nice (he
was Louise’s Bachelor who had a degree from Harvard and had lost out on the
Nobel Peace Prize to Angelina Jolie), I felt I really didn’t need a third
Bachelor. I was happy with the two I had and felt I had my hands
full.” Peter said, “All right!” Jeremy smiled and said, “Sounds
like a good decision to me!” With that Jane went to Peter and taking his
hand, led him to the door, saying, “Thanks for understanding about this
Peter. I’ll see you in a few minutes, if you’ll wait for me in the Dining
Room.” With that Peter left the room and Jane was alone with
Jeremy. “It’s been quite a week around here and quite a week for
you. I asked Peter if he would let us talk alone for a while. I’ve
also asked him if he would go the extra mile in fairness and he said he
would. Since you were away last week on a combination business trip and
search to find Louise, which was so kind of you and of such great help to my
family, you and I really had no time together. On the other hand, Peter
and I had virtually a week to get to know each other. Peter agrees with
me that this is not fair to you or to me and he is planning to leave tomorrow
to go back to California and work, so that you and I can also have a week to
get to know each other. My question to you is . . . do you want to get to
know me better . . . or do you want to leave and go on with your life?”

Brett (the Doctor) and Michael (the farmer) had joined Susie
Q. in the foyer and thought they would be going immediately to the front
parlor, but Susie Q. told them they needed to wait. Brian walked in the
front door and crossed the hallway to join them, carrying a bouquet of pink
carnations (Susie Q.’s favorites) and smiling happily. Brian handed
Susie Q. the flowers as he kissed her on the cheek. “Brian!” said Susie
Q. in surprise. “Don’t tell me . . . .” “Yes, Susie, It’s
official. I’m your new third Bachelor!” Susie Q. made some quick
introductions and then led her three Bachelors away.

Fernando arrived on the patio a few minutes early. He
was dressed in a clean white shirt, some dark pants, and wore his dancing shoes
with the soft leather boot and the pointed toes. He smelled good and he
looked great, with his shiny hair slicked back and combed to perfection.
A few minutes later, Martha peeked out the door. She was wearing a floral
sundress. Her hair was like a waterfall of chocolate going down her
back. “Fernando?” said Martha. “Hi, Martha! Come on
out. I don’t bite!” Martha laughed a little nervously. “You
know my brother is just inside the kitchen, in case I need any help. He’s
very protective of me.” “Don’t worry! He’ll be my best friend
before you know it.” Remarked Fernando confidently. Martha was a real
beauty and it was obvious that she also had what is called in America, “class,”
not like that Brenda nutcase he had been with last week. Fernando, who
truly was a nice guy, decided to display his best manners and that was a very
smart thing to do, because Pedro really was watching out the kitchen window
from behind the curtain.

Sara was joined by Eric and Bob and the three of them headed
for the Library. Eric was now drawn to the books displayed there.
He felt that he and Sara had gotten over the first obstacles of meeting and he
could be more relaxed tonight, so he asked, “May I browse around a
little?” Sara nodded, “Sure. Enjoy.” She was glad that Eric
was interested in the books she loved and equally glad to have some time with
Bob. Sara led Bob to a pair of comfortable easy chairs. “So, tell
me what it’s like in Arizona.” “I’ve lived there all my life, so it’s
what I know. I enjoy my work for the U.S. Geological Survey. I get
sent on trips to test rocks and check out the stability of formations and
layers of earth and water levels. I often have research projects in the
Grand Canyon which is virtually in my back yard. I love my job and I work
with a great group of people. On weekends, I usually enjoy doing some
hiking down in Oak Creek Canyon or biking on the trails around Flagstaff.
It’s nice. Flagstaff is above the desert, so we have lots of pine trees.
The weather’s usually good. Anything else you’d like to know?” Sara
was impressed by Bob and how grounded (no pun intended) he seemed. He was
a man with solid values, a good head on his shoulders, and a pleasant, friendly
disposition. Bob also struck her as being curious about anything new,
kind of in a scientific way, which made sense because he was kind of a
scientist. Sara liked him a lot.

Penny and Marcus walked into the cocktail party behind Jenny
and Jason. In Penny's mind the party was merely a formality because she already
knew who she was keeping this week. And it was obvious who Jenny was keeping,
thought Penny-she was absolutely clinging to Jason. Dakota looked for his
little Jenny and his jaw dropped! What was she doing with Jason he wondered-he
wasn't even in on the bachelor list! The drinks were flowing and laughter
punctuated the few silences. Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves. There
was even music this time-all to make things less formal and more like a party-a
celebration. For that is truly what it was supposed to be-a celebration of love:
love past, love present, and love future.
Suddenly the lights dimmed and the small stage in the front lit up. Music began
again but this time it was live. A beautiful blond woman stepped forward and
began singing a beautiful song;
I was born to be in your arms,
I was born to feel like this.
And every time that you come closer,
It's a rush I can't resist.
And when you call out my name it's like you're lighting up the day,
Life is just more beautiful, every step we take.

You are the one for me-from the moment that I saw you,
I knew you'd be my everything-I can't get enough.
You always give me what I need-You are the one for me

There's forever there in your eyes,
And that's heaven in your voice.
And when I think about the future,
To be with you is my only choice!
Cause when you're gone it feels as if the heart in me just stops.
I need you around, without you I just get lost!

You are the one for me-from the moment that I saw you,
I knew you'd be my everything-I can't get enough,
You always give me what I need-You are the one for me.

You're the hand that's guiding me,
And made me see how love should be
And I thank God for giving me my dreams!

You are the one for me-from the moment I saw you
I knew you'd be my everything-I can't get enough,
You always give me what I need-You are the one for me!

As Suzie McNeil began to sing the most beautiful song Jenny
had ever heard, Jason led her onto the dance floor and they danced alone out
there. There was nobody else in the room-all Jenny felt was Jason's arms around
her, all she saw were his eyes, and all she felt was every note of that song
going from his body through hers. And then she understood-this was Jason's
surprise! Jenny just floated in his arms and realized that this was the
defining moment for her and Jason-THIS was that moment of clarity that moved
her from loving Jason to being IN love with him. And so they both saw what was
before them all along as they were getting to know each other. Jesse told Jason
to be friends first and that is exactly what happened. This was the moment when
Jenny and Jason fell in love, and it was impossible to deny it any longer. And
everyone in the room was witness to this event, and couldn't help but be moved
by this sweetness, this poignancy and this moment that was absolutely meant to
be...

That is except for Penny and Dakota. Penny was so excited
about telling ABC that she wanted to keep only Marcus, but had to run to the
ladies room for a quick pit stop first. She missed the moment entirely!
Meanwhile, Dakota took a phone call from his mother who was calling from Spain.
She usually didn't phone outside of their weekly calls unless it was something
important, so Dakota took the call. It turned out to be nothing too serious, so
they spoke only briefly. But Dakota saw "Jenny" returning to the
party, and decided to surprise her with a kiss-a big kiss! That kiss was so hot
that Dakota wondered why Jenny had walked into the party with Jason. He was so
carried away with passion that he didn't notice people gathering to witness his
prowess in the romance department. And neither did "Jenny" for that
matter. Finally the couple heard a distinct clearing of the throat. As they
looked up they saw the crowd, heard a little clapping, but mostly saw Marcus
glowering at them. Now "Jenny" knew why Marcus was upset but Dakota
did not. As Marcus stomped out of the castle, Dakota looked at
"Jenny" and asked why he was mad. And then "Jenny"
explained that she was not Jenny, but Penny! And Marcus was hurt seeing her
kissing Dakota that way. As Dakota did a double take, he began to realize what
had happened. He also surprised Penny-she thought he was Marcus at first, but
the kiss with Dakota seemed so natural she couldn't stop kissing him. And
Dakota realized that he had always been attracted to Penny-he loved her sense
of humor, and felt a huge connection that he largely denied out of respect for
Jenny!

And so the sheepish couple returned to the party-hand in
hand-and Jenny and Jason were ecstatic! They both secretly hoped that Dakota
and Penny would realize the connection that Jenny and Jason saw between them.
The happy foursome went out on the dance floor for one more snuggle dance
before Penny had to go find Marcus and apologize for her very public display
and for hurting him. But love on a full moon night is a very fickle thing. As
Penny found Marcus, he was having a very intense discussion with Suzie McNeil,
and didn't seem too disturbed at all by the scene! He saw Penny approaching and
waved, but mouthed the words: I'm ok! Go have fun with Dakota! We'll talk
later. And with that the twins told ABC that they only wished to date Jason and
Dakota. The last the girls saw of Austin and Devin, they were dancing away with
Suzie McNeil's back up singers. And so everything was right with the world!

Now Kara and Lara had been dressed and ready early in the

their evening had been a little different and Loves will tell us all about it
when she gets her flat tire fixed (or whatever else is holding her up) and can
come on Board and report it to us . . .

Just to refresh everyone's memory, this is what Travel wrote
about the decisions Kara made on the Bonnet Bachelorette season opener
last Monday night:

Kara's decision was an easy one. Her heart belonged to
Twilley. Period. However, Kara loved to
laugh and shoot pool, play ping-pong, and just hang out in a group. She had so
much fun with her three suitors, she took them all aside privately, and asked
them if they would like to stay on as friends, and come over every night that
week to have a good time, playing cards and video games, and swimming in the
pool. Preston, Colin and Zach all said yes to this, and they all looked forward
to a week of relaxed fun.

So it sounds like Kara has been having fun with her
Bachelors all week, but just as friends. Twilley must have been out of
town with his Cirque du Soleil act. Will he possibly show up tonight for
the Wedding?

Lara did end up having some 1:1 time with Paul later
Saturday evening, but he could tell she was still upset. He convinced her
to lay down on the chase lounge on the patio and gave her a massage. It
was heavenly and very relaxing. Of course, she did keep her clothes on,
which got in Paul's way, but he figured it wasn't the time or place to convince
her to strip. She felt much better when they were finished. He led
her back inside the castle and gently kissed her forehead. She surprised
them both by throwing her arms around his neck and giving him a toe wriggling
kiss. Then she asked him to join her for church in the morning.
Paul hadn't been much of a church goer, but was certainly willing to try
it. She warned him that she was inviting Christopher as well.

After Paul left, Lara called Chris Harrison and told him she
did not want a third Bachelor on Monday. Two were hard enough to
handle!!!!!

They all attended church Sunday morning without
incident. The minister didn't seem a bit nervous about the camera crew
that filmed every moment. Lara and the guys talked about how quickly they
had gotton used to being shadowed by the crew. After a while they really
did just forget about them. Which in itself, was a little scarey.

They rushed back home after church to attend the Scottish
Tea. Chris seemed to be accepting the situation better and that relieved
Lara. She spent time with him in the afternoon and then took a long walk
with Paul in the evening. Both conversations went well. Lara knew
she wanted to chose one of these men. She didn't know about
marriage. There was school to finish and hopefully a music career to
begin. Still, she felt like it was time to have someone special in her
life and believed she could easily fall in love with either of them. So
she asked hard questions. They talked about past relationships and hopes
for the future. Both swore they had always been faithful when they were
in a relationship. Both wanted marriage and children. At this
point, she almost hoped that one of them would reveal some huge flaw so that
her decision would be easier. They sure weren't making this easy!

Monday morning was too busy for Lara to even think about her
men. She had the final fitting for her maid of honor dress. It was
the same beautiful soft green as the others, but what it did to the green and
gold glints in her eyes was surely worth a standing ovation. It was
strapless and floor length with a slight train floating behind. No one
would even see the gold ballet slippers on her feet. Lara had been given
emerald earrings for her sixteenth birthday. Tara made her cry when
she presented Lara with a lovely emerald pendant as her maid of honor
present. "This is waaaaay too much!" she cried, hugging her
sister.

"Not at all," laughed Tara. I might have
lost Jerry if you hadn't been keeping an eye on us. And if I didn't give
the necklace, you probably would have worn your lion one to my
wedding!" Tara looked like a true princess in her gown. It was a
modified grecian style that hugged her slim waist and then flowed dreamily to
her feet. Over one shoulder was a band of silk in the girl's soft
green. The other shoulder was bare and lovely. She would wear a
gold and emerald crown in her hair. Lara helped keep her calm as the day
sped on.

Finally she had to confide in her. She talked about
Paul and Christopher and how difficult it was juggling them both. Tara
had seemed to almost grow up overnight since she and Jerry found each
other. She encouraged Lara to quit worrying and just have fun with
them. "You are the one being too serious now. Just
relax! The moment will come when you will know which one you can't live
without. Untill it comes, keep them both!"

"You don't think you could live without Jerry?"

Tara's eyes misted over. "I never want to have to
find out!"

Kara, amidst all the fun and excitment, still had a job to
hold down at the pet groomers. She was shocked to see Twilley come in one day
with a gigantic white cat in his arms! On the night they had fallen in love,
they had talked to each other about their mutual love for animals. "Well,
this must be your cat Boris you told me all about!" "No,"
Twilley replied, this is Samantha! She moved in with me the night after I met
you!" At this, Kara began laughing, so hard as a matter of fact, that she
had to quickly sit down, tears streaming down her cheeks. When she was finally
able to speak, she told him that she had overheard his converstion with his
brother, and thought Samantha was his girlfriend! At this, Twilley understood
all. "Darling!" he said as he swept her into his muscular arms.
"My Angel!" she gasped as tears of joy rolled down her cheeks.

Chris Harrison's voice could be heard over the loud
speaker: Ladies and Gentlemen. Our Cocktail Party is now coming to
a close. Please all gather in the Central Ballroom for further

Finally the time for the wedding had arrived! The
girls lined up nervously. They each looked incredibly beautiful!
Their escourts were mainly friends of Jerry's. He is a very social guy
and had more than enough close friends to match the Bonnet sisters. All
of his friends were super cute and normally would have sent the girls into
heavy flirtation mode. Unfortunately for the groomsmen, they were all
pretty preoccupied right now.

The house was filled with people and the guest list
was extensive. Donald and crew were there, of course. Ryan and
Trista had brought baby Max to be the ring bearer. Tara was really blown
away when she heard who the flower girl would be. Who would ever imagine
that Tom and Katie would have brought Siri just for the occasion!
Of course, it wouldn't have been a wedding without Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn
crashing it! Jennifer Anniston had planned to attend, but she was afraid
too many old boyfriends would be there. DeAnna and Jesse made quite an
entrance when they strode in with DD perched on Jesse's shoulders. (She
had turned her ankle while snowboarding so he was spoiling her right now.)

Mr. and Mrs. B were in a total tizzy. Mrs. B had
already gone through several lace handkerchiefs because she cried when each of
the girls appeared looking so beautiful. Everyone had kept a close watch
on her and kept her far away from the champaign that would be served at the
reception. Mr B just kept pacing. When the usher appeared to
escourt Mrs. B down the aisle Mr. B panicked. "Okay," he asked,
grabbing his wife's hand. "Do I just follow you down now or
what?" Jane calmed him down and reminded him that he had to wait to
take the bride down.

The ceremony began with a trumpet trio playing Trumpet
Voluntary. They sounded joyous as the bridesmaids made there way down the
aisle. Max and Siri almost stole the show as they made their journey,
especially when little Max, who hadn't been walking for too long, got a bit
tired, and crawled the rest of the way!

[size=12]Suddenly the music changed to the Wedding March. All
the guest stood and turned to look at Tara. She was so beautiful that
they gasped. Mr. B proudly held her arm and the tears in his eyes made
everyone feel a bit weepy. Tara didn't even notice all the famous
guests. Her eyes were only for Jerry. He looked so handsome in his
black tux.

Tara's regular minister was out of town so the ceremony was
officiated by a woman known as Pastor Loves.

Everyone agreed that her name was very appropriate when
she was performing a wedding. (Couldn't
resist!)

Pastor Loves opened the ceremony with the traditional,
"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together on this day to witness the
joining of two hearts and two lives, the eternal union of Tara and
Jerry."

As the ceremony continued, Jerry and Tara only had eyes for
each other. Tears glistened in both of their eyes as they sincerely spoke
their vows of eternal fidelity and love. When the minister spoke of the
children they would have, Jerry winked and Tara. She stifled a giggle
remembering her "pregger" fears and turned a becoming pink in her
cheeks. Lara carefully watched to know when her dress needed the
slightest adjustment.

As the couple spoke their vows and exchanged rings, Lara
held tight to Tara's lovely bouquet. White and deep pink roses were the
main flowers. Lily of the Valley trailed down with the soft green
ribbons. Each bridesmaid carried a large single white rose wrapped in a
lace handkerchief. Jerry's boutineer was also a white rose while each of
the groomsmen wore red ones. Since the ceremony was held in the garden,
there were flowers everywhere, but an arch covered in roses was over the area
with the table on which rested the candles that the couple would soon light.

Well, of course, the Wedding was followed by a wonderful
Reception, but since by then it was quite late, each of the remaining
Bachelorette sisters needed to let ABC film a little Decision Making segment,
so all of the Bonnet Bachelorette fans would know where the Bachelorettes stood
with their men. Bonnie, of course, proudly introduced Fred to America as
her new Bachelor and her one and only Bachelor. Jane let the world know,
to her own surprise, that she would keep her two Bachelors, Peter and
Jeremy. There was a whole special segment starring Louise and Ron.
They were interviewed about their elopement in Scotland and Louise blushed
quite brilliantly when she was asked what sights they had taken in in
Edinburgh, but regrouped enough to say, "Well, the Castle was nice!" (Of course she was speaking
about the fabulous landmark that sits on a cliff above Princes Street and is
visible from all over town!)
But she didn't say they had
actually visited it, so she was telling the truth. She also proudly
displayed her 2 carat diamond ring in such a way that implied Ron had
bought it for her. (Ron was good at getting the credit for things he
hadn't paid for, as you can well imagine.) Chris and ABC were proud as
peacocks (Oops! That's the wrong
channel),
we mean they were proud as parents about this whole two weddings
in one week thing. The home viewing audience was thrilled when they later
discovered they would be treated to a four hour Bachelorette show on the second
week of The Bonnet Bachelorettes and all were abuzz on the Board about what
that could mean. How and why was there a four hour show? But they
were so happy, because the show was their favorite one ever!

Susie Q knew she was in trouble. What could one girl
do with three great men? Brett was a handsome, caring doctor, the kind
that would have a good “bedside manner.” (And you know we all want a Doctor
with that, so there is no pun intended)
As a nurse, she knew right away
that he was special. Michael, her adorable farmer from Nebraska, was
sweet and witty. He was a “Yes, M’am,” kind of guy which Susie, being a
native Floridian, also liked and didn’t consider so foreign. She had gone
to school with some very polite “southern boys” and it was nice to be treated
like a lady. Now Brian, her long distance cousin thirty times removed,
had had her attention before she even got on this crazy show, but since he
hadn’t been around the first week, she had been able to put him out of her
mind. Now, her mind was spinning, so during the Reception, she excused
herself and went through the kitchen and out the back door to get some fresh
air.

No sooner did she walk outside, than she realized she was not
alone. She saw a man and a woman dancing slowly to the music drifting
outside from the Grand Ballroom. Hearing the click of her heels on the
patio pavement, the couple turned to see who had joined them. “Fernando?”
asked a surprised Susie Q. “Como estas, Susie?” said Fernando, playing
the cool customer. (After all, it was Susie who had sent him home last
week. “Just fine. How did you and Martha meet?” she asked out
of curiosity. “Jenny & Penny thought we might get along,” replied
Martha, a little embarrassed at being found with one of Susie’s discarded
Bachelors. “Oh, that was sweet of them!” said a rather distracted
Susie. “It looks like you’re having a nice time. Sorry to
interrupt!” With that Susie went back into the kitchen.

Since she
hadn’t been able to air her brain, she just sat on a chair at the kitchen
table, crossed her arms in front of her on the table, and put her head
down. “Penny for your thoughts,” said a voice behind her. “I think
I might need a Jenny & Penny for my thoughts,” quipped Susie. “What’s
going on?” It was Sara, of course. She had seen Susie Q. go into
the kitchen and figured she was having trouble. “Oh, I can’t even think
straight about these Bachelors! I’ll go into the Jenny & Penny thing
later. Help me. Now that Brian has become an official Bachelor, I
have three great guys. How can I juggle three?” “Susie, you have plenty
of time to find the right guy for you. Be glad you’ve met such good
matches. As you get to know them better, you’ll figure it out.”
Since Susie certainly wasn’t ready to send any one home, when Susie went to the
Decision Room, she kept all three of her Bachelors. Sara was very happy
to report to Chris Harrison and the Bachelor viewers that she would continue to
date Eric and Bob.

Lara was dancing with Christopher. Her rapt attention
was all for him as he softly sang in her ear while they swayed to the
music. Paul put up with it for about three dances and had enough.
He strode on to the floor and tapped Chris's shoulder. "Excudse me,
may I cut in?" he asked.

Lara did not appreciate the interuption. Then she
reminded herself that Paul was her date also and she had been ignoring him all
night. She and Paul whirled away and she gave him a bright smile.
They talked about the wedding. Paul was sure that Lara was even more
beautiful than the bride and told her so. He realized that she was very
distracted and suggested a walk in the gardens they both loved. The walk
was hardly private though. Everywhere they went they stumble on yet
another Bonnet sister kissing a Bachelor. Then an ABC staff member told
Lara it was decision time. Paul had been dreading this as he was sure
Lara would let him go tonight.

When it came time for Lara's announcement, she turned to
Chris and said, " I can't even imaginge sending you home, Chris.
Will you stay another week so that we can date?" Chris happily
agreed and embraced her lovingly.

Then she turned to Paul. "I kind of get the
feeling you are really nervous tonight and think you might go home. I
hope you won't be too disappointed," Lara gave a long dramatic
pause, "if I don't. send you home. Paul, I see so many wonderful
things about you. I want to know those thngs better. Will you stay
so we can date?"

Paul's face lit up. He picked up Lara and whirled her
around. "Of course I'll stay."

While Lara felt no little stress about the decisions which
would need to be made concerning her future, she felt delightfully taken care
off. She remembered Tara's words about just enjoying this time and
was totally determined to follow them through.

Jenny excused herself from Jason so she could find Devin to
speak to him. When she found him he was in mid conversation with some of the other
bachelors. As they walked outside on the castle grounds Jenny shivered a
little. She wasn't sure if it was from the cool breeze or just that she was
finding it difficult to tell Devin what was on her mind. Devin could sense what
was coming-he hadn't had any one on one time with Jenny this past week and
their connection had only grown weaker. And then there was that small matter of
her and Jason on the dance floor earlier! But he put his arm around her to keep
her warm, and told her not to worry-it was all good. Jenny started to cry and
she told Devin that this was harder than she ever dreamed. She hadn't set out
to hurt anyone, that was not her nature. Since Jenny and Penny were virtually
the middle children in the family, they both tried to please ev
eryone
most of the time. In this type of scenario that wasn't possible-with each
Decision someone got hurt. Jenny told Devin that she valued his friendship so
much, and to please forgive her for the way things turned out. Devin hugged
Jenny and told her that he was a big boy and that he was glad Jenny was honest
with him. They both wanted to remain friends because they shared a love of the
water, and had similar tastes in so many things. Devin walked Jenny back inside
and wished her luck with Jason, as he went back to the reception and took a
glass of champagne to wash down the disappointment he felt rising in his
throat.

Penny felt horrible! She knew Marcus had
"forgiven" her, but she was not used to this whole "it's all
about me" credo that sort of went hand in hand with this type of show. She
realized she was the last person that should be in a position to say "No,
I don't want that one, I'll take this one!" She used to watch the
Bachelor/ette shows and complain about how unfair the person choosing was to all
the others that were rejected, so to speak. And now she knew how it felt first
hand! It did not make her feel very good about herself at all. And so when she
saw Marcus and Austin, she felt like hanging her head and crying right there.
She spoke to Austin first and he was very cool about the whole thing. He told
her he expected to be let go and was prepared for that. He would continue his
work in Miami, and if she ever wanted to volunteer her time to shoreline
cleanups, etc., to give him a call. Penny hugged him good by, and turned to
Marcus. This was harder to do. Penny felt so close to Marcus, and wanted to
keep him in her life in some capacity. He admitted that the shock of seeing her
with Dakota had been a real wake up call. He thought a lot about their physical
connection-was that the main ingredient of their relationship he wondered. He
did spend some time talking to Suzie-wow, Penny thought, first name basis
already-and he realized he needed to figure some things out for himself about
the way everything unfolded. He would have to take some time before he could
even think about talking to Penny, but in time maybe they could mend the
friendship part of their relationship. Penny cried as she wished for him to
have a wonderful life because he so deserved it. With that, Marcus turned to
find his brother, and Penny grabbed Jenny so they could tell ABC their
decision. They had to do a little "make up touch up" on the twins,
since their mascara left little tracks down their cheeks after the tears-offering
a slight twist to the saying that "Men and mascara always run!" But
the girls chose, for now, to date Jason and Dakota. Jenny/Penny practically ran
back to the reception to find their beaus and that glass of champagne-they were
so glad THAT decision was over!!

Fernando was actually relieved that Suzie didn't seem to
mind that he and Martha were hitting it off so well. Martha was beautiful
and a very good dancer. They had spent most of the evening, after their
intitial conversation, in each other's arms. Martha was a sweet woman.
She worked as a General Maid because she actually liked to clean and keep
busy. She also had an entreprenureal streak and was developing a line of
handbags that she designed herself and personalized for her customers.
She was rapidly making a name for herself at Botanical Bling, the
best boutique in Miami and finding it hard to keep on top of her orders.
Celebrities, like Paris and Lindsay, had recently discovered her and it
looked the the roof was going to blow off of her business. It was almost
time to give notice to the Bonnets. Fernando had been very impressed
by Martha and her handbag business and especially by the purse she had shown
him of her own design that she was using tonight. Before the evening was
over, Fernando and Martha had a date for the next night at (yes, you
guessed it)

The next day, after the big Wedding and all of the other
excitement of Monday night, most of the Bonnets and their guests were
exhausted, so it was quiet in the house until around 4:00 in the
afternoon. All of a sudden there was a big BANG! It was
heard throughout the Castle and the pictures on the wall even quivered a
little up on the third floor. Anyone in the area of Mr. B’s study came
running. The wooden wall of books was open. Jason stood in the
doorway with his hands on his hips shaking his head as if to say I can’t
believe this one!

When Jane arrived first, she ran up to Jason.
“What happened? Are you all right?” “Yes,” said Jason, “I’m
fine. Take a look!” Jane peeked inside. By now Mr. B, Juan,
Martha, and Sara, who all had been nearby took a look, too. Inside was a
tall man spraying a fire extinguisher all over what had been the Time
Machine. The Bonnets were puzzled. Who was this man covered with
soot and debris? Suddenly Sara recognized him.

“Richard?” she said
in disbelief. “What are you doing here?” Richard looked sheepishly
at his colleague and his former Bachelorette. “Sara, you know that I know
Jason from the Bachelorette show with DeAnna, right?” Sara nodded.
She remembered how Richard had been kicked to the curb from that Cinderella
coach. “Well, Jason and I ran into each other the other day and it was
great to see him again. We had lunch and he told me about the exciting
find of a hidden room here in the Castle and the even more exciting find of a
Time Machine. Well, you know how I’m all about anything scientific?
I had to see it. Let’s just say, it backfired on me. I’m sorry for
any damage, but it really wasn’t my fault. That Time Machine wasn’t a
Time Machine after all. You know how it had buttons that said Past,
Present, and Future? The machine was actually a language
translator. It would give you translations of words in different tenses
in five languages, a real feat for when it was invented in 1936. However,
when I tried to get it into high speed, because let’s face it translating one
word in five minutes just doesn’t cut it in this computer age of ours, the dang
thing blew up!"

Since no damage was really done, everyone was just
relieved that no one had been hurt, but Sara was surprised by just how relieved
she was that Richard was alive and only a heartbeat away from her. She
ran up to him and, ignoring the crusty crud caking his clothes, threw herself
in his arms, “Don’t you ever do anything like that again, you ridiculous Thomas
Edison wannabe!” she said emphatically and then kissed him, completely
oblivious of her audience.

Even though Jenny and Penny wanted more than anything to go
out on a beautiful romantic date with their bachelors, they had been glued to
the TVs all day watching the horror unfold off the coast of Galveston Bay in
Texas. Having lived in Miami all their lives they knew the devastation that can
occur in such storms. The girls just didn't feel right about partying tonight
when so many people faced the results of Mother Nature's backlash. ABC had
outfitted the castle with several state of the art HD televisions in several
rooms that were also furnished in a comfortable fashion. Jason and Dakota came
by and cuddled with their girls, as the majority of the Bonnet family, and numerous
bachelors floated in and out of the family rooms, alternately chatting,
snacking, and watching the updates on the hurricane. One question that kept
coming up was the status of all the bachelors from the last season of The
Bachelor that currently live in the state of Texas. Jenny and Penny were
already discussing relief efforts with family members and what they could all
do to help after the worst was over. And so the Bonnet family stayed close to
home that evening and felt very grateful to all be together under one roof and
safe. They prayed that the storm would show a little mercy, and that all humans
and animals would be kept out of harm's way...
