Sara found that she liked all of her Bachelors, even
Richard, much to her amazement. I’ll have to remember to thank Chris, she
thought. It was a “no brainer” that Eric and she, both being History
buffs, after all, were on the same “wavelength.” Bob, that tall blonde
hunky Geologist, was just an all round great guy who obviously had a big
heart. He participated as a counselor in an Outward Bounds program where he
took groups of troubled teens on week long, white water rafting and survival
skill trips that helped change their lives for the better. AWWWW!
And Richard, well they were already colleagues and friends, so he was kind of
like the proverbial comfortable, old glove, but even Richard surprised her by
his witty jokes about the periodic table elements. “What did the helium
balloon say as it deflated?” “I don’t know, what?” “Fill me up, I’m
running out of gas!” Well, that one wasn’t so witty, but it was cute!
AWWWW! Sara was finding being a Bachelorette a very pleasant experience.

As usual, Jenny and Penny were running late. They couldn't
decide if they should wear the same color dress but in different styles, or if
they should wear the same style but in different colors. They finally decided
to wear totally different dresses so the bachelors could tell them apart. Both
girls had turquoise eyes and long dark brown hair and wanted to show this off
to their advantage. Jenny wore a turquoise gown with copper accessories. The
beading on the bodice of her dress was very subtle and done in a tone on tone
mode. Her hair had a natural wave that held a curl beautifully so she pulled it
all back and wore a turquoise and copper headband, and let her hair fall in
it's natural waves cascading down her back. Penny did not want to be tripping
over any gown and she chose to wear a black cocktail length dress that had a
slanted hem going down one leg. It slipped over her head easily, and had a
layer of chiffon over that. It too had beading-delicate black sparkles that danced
lightly over the over the bodice to the hem. She loved how it moved with her
body when she danced in it. Penny added a little curl to her hair this evening,
and pulled back and up one side of her hair, clipping it in place with an
antique diamond brooch that had belonged to her beloved Scottish grandmother.
"I need all the help I can get tonight Nana," she whispered.

Both girls looked ravishing but almost felt a little out of
place. Most of their sisters had met boys, or at least had some they were currently
interested in. But Jenny and Penny seemed genuinely content to help Mrs. B. in
the kitchen, or cleaning the castle. They really never seriously dated before
and found this all a little disconcerting to say the least. So they asked ABC
to send them six bachelors, and the two girls would figure out who went best
with whom on their own. The girls hadn't done anything without the other before
and didn't plan on starting to do that now. Chris told the girls that they
could meet their six bachelors together, and what better place for them to meet
than the little pond behind the castle! Jenny and Penny themselves had
decorated the trees and fountains with miniature lights and floating
biodegradable "lit" floating candles. Twilley had made the Bonnet
family more environmentally aware and so they tried to keep that in mind when
necessary.

Tara, who had had a difficult day, to say the least, had
gotten dressed in the green gown that Mrs. B. had picked out for her. She
wasn’t feeling that well, what with the hangover, pregnancy scare, hysteria
from her father, fight with Jerry and all, but she took three excedrin and let
ABC do their magic with her hair and bleary-looking eyes. Of course, her
natural beauty shone through, so by 7:00 when the Bachelors arrived, she was
sitting quite composed in the solarium where ABC had set up a place for
her. As she waited for her Bachelors, she pondered on the time she had
spent with Jerry and how sweet he had been until their little
misunderstanding. How could he ever think she would try to force another
man’s child on him? She looked up when three good looking men entered the
room, but she didn’t stand because she still didn’t feel that well.
Patrick, Daniel, and George approached Tara and introduced themselves.

Meanwhile Jenny and Penny waited by the flagstone walkway
for their bachelors. Both girls needed some Pepto that evening as the rumblings
in their stomachs were loud enough to wake the dead. The first to arrive was
the duo from Paris, Texas. Surprisingly both girls thought the men to be very
attractive-and they were twins! They introduced themselves to the girls as
Braeden and Kaeden. They were 6'1" tall with golden wheat colored hair,
green eyes, and perfect smiles. They spoke with a slight drawl, and definitely
knew how to flirt. What is it about men from Texas, Jenny wondered? They were
entrepreneurs and carried The Donald's approval! the girls waved them on to the
gazebo where they would chat later. Next up was another set of TWINS! The girls
wondered where ABC got these guys because they too were very handsome. They
were about the same height as the other two, give or take an inch, but had very
dark curly hair and beautiful chocolate brown eyes. They were named Devin and
Marcus. Devin was an athlete-he was a swimmer and had been in the last two
Olympics, bringing home a few medals, and loved the competition. Marcus was so
different from his brother. He was an actor (like his father Michael Talbott)
and wanted to appear on Broadway one day. Both just made the girls melt. And
finally the last two bachelors were introduced. They-were not twins, or brothers
even. Dakota was a cutie-he was tall, flaxen haired and had the most beautiful
dimples in bachelor history! He too was an actor and had become quite
successful at it. Jenny wanted to take him away from the crowd and get to know
him better that was for sure. The last bachelor was named Austin, and Penny
thought he was the cat's meow. He was very tall, with medium brown hair. His
eyes were very unusual in color. They were very penetrating and hazel green. He
was a veterinarian by calling, and seemed to be gentle in nature. Jenny and
Penny both were amazed that they had such luck to meet these wonderful men, and
could hardly wait for the games to begin...

Lara was nervous as she gave a last minute check in the
mirror. Her dress was lovely. It was strapless with an deep green
bodice. The skirt came down from it in a babydoll fashion, but the
material in the skirt changed from green to gold and back with each
movement. It ended just a few inches above her knees; not so short as to
make her feel immodest (she had never been a daring dresser) but short enough
to be flirty. Brushed gold sandals danced on her narrow feet. Gold
and emerald earings dangled in her ears and around her neck she slipped a
pendant given to her great grandmother by her great grandfather. The
chain was a delicate, antique gold. The pendant was a golden lion's head
with emerald eyes. It somehow combined magesty and strength without
looking at all masculine. Lara loved lions. They reminded her of
Aslan in The Chronicles of Narnia. Her hair had been carefully styled to
look as though she had drawn it up into a careless knot, trailing perfctly
placed tendrils that framed her face. She took a deep breath, and went
downstairs.

Chris naturally took her outside to her favoite swing and
introduced her to her dates, one by one. The first looked familiar.
His name was Jerry. He was very cute and sexy looking, but did not seem
to be in the mood for meeting a date. She thought she had seen him at the
party dancing with Tara. She quickly forgot him when her 2nd date
arrived. It was Paul!!!!

"Suprised?" he asked, with a huge smile. He
gave her a warm hug and whispered in her ear. "I was supposed to be
with Kara, but I convinced Chris to let me switch!"

Lara was so happy to see him that she hardly noticed the
last Bachelor arriving. When he spoke to her and caught her attention she
gasped. "A-a-aren"t you............"

The black curly haired man smiled. "Actually, I'm
his brother. I'm Christopher Groban."

Lara stared, absolutely speechless. She could see that
he looked a bit different from her fantasy love, Josh Groban, but only a bit.

"You can call me Chris." He took her hand
and kissed it. "And yes, I do sing."

Paul's heart went crashing to the ground. Lara looked
absolutely dazzled. How could this happen? They had such a
connection! He was already half in love with her and now her full
attention was on another man! He looked at Jerry, who looked very
familiar to him. Jerry didn't seem to care one way or the other about
Lara. He kept glancing around as if trying to see someone else.

"Okay," Paul whispered to himself, "Your work
is cut out for you. But this time, I will get the girl."

Kara met her three suitors in the billiards room, where a
large ancient table had provided many hours of good clean fun for the Bonnet
girls...the three youngest girls especially loved to spend time there playing
pool, ping-pong and fireman-fireman ( a very exciting video game.)
She wore a yellow ribbon and a simple yet elegant yellow dress with a
tight-fitting bodice, and a flowing light skirt. Her blue eyes were enhanced
with blue contact lenses (she wasn't taking any chances this time!), and her
long dark hair was curled and very shiny, abundant, and beautiful. She was very
petite, so she wore dainty silver high heels(she didn't want to be too
matchy-matchy!)

The young men who came to join her in the plush sunken living room area of the
room were Colin, Zach, and Preston. They were all handsome and charming. Kara,
who liked to be friends first, and knowing Twilley had already stolen her
heart, decided she would try and form frienships with all or some of them.

Now what we don’t know about Susie Q. is that she longs to
be a mother someday. She dreams of it almost daily. She absolutely loves
children which is the reason she chose to work at the Miami Children’s Hospital
so that she could be close to the children. While it broke her heart to see so
many ill children day in and day out, she was thankful for her opportunity to
become a nurse and help them and be there for them during their hospital stays.
So during her time with each bachelor, trying not to be too forward, she asked
if they wanted to have children. At the same time, Brian keeps entering her
mind and she thinks to herself that he would make an excellent father and she
also thinks that they would have beautiful children together! Fernando tried to
dodge the children question simply stating, “Sure, one day I would like to have
kids.” Michael on the other hand said, “I want a house full of children!” He
went into further explanation telling Susie Q. that he was one of 10 boys, just
like her and her sisters, so he loved having such a huge family. Besides, with
his farm, he would need some help around there in time. Brett also had a firm
answer for Susie Q. by saying what seemed almost rehearsed “I want two
children, one boy, one girl.”

Sara on the other hand, was not ready to be a mother just
yet. She wanted to fully enjoy her youth and she was getting her fill of
children from her students, that she did love. She was enjoying each of the
bachelors’ company and while she did think Richard was cute, she just really
could not see a connection between them. Besides, they worked together, so this
could never work, she thought. She wondered if Louise would in fact be
interested in that trade and hoped that Louise would have a bachelor for her.
Afterall, she wanted Richard to find love and didn’t want to have to let him
down completely by sending him home.

Eric amazed her in almost every way. It seemed they had so much in common since
they were both History teachers. She almost forgot about Bob and Richard who
had decided to go find a drink since they weren’t getting any “one-on-one” time
anyways. Sara discovered that she and Eric shared a love for scuba diving as
well and agreed that they must have a one on one date to go diving together,
“Not with sharks, though!” she exclaimed! They laughed and Eric hugged her and
quietly said to her, “No, not with sharks, my beauty.”

Bob and Richard roamed the house in search of that drink.
They mistakenly entered the parlor where Louise was with her bachelors, well,
mostly with Ron…

Chris Harrison's voice was heard over the intercom:
Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen. Bachelorettes, I want you to know
that you will have only 30 more minutes with your Bachelors before everyone
is called to the Grand Ballroom for the Cocktail Party. And, Bachelors, I
can't say strongly enough how important it is to use this time well,
making a good impression on your Bachelorette. Good luck

Jenny and Penny gracefully made their way to the gazebo to
chat with the bachelors before the cocktail party. Both girls spoke with the
first set of twins from Texas. Braeden and Kaeden owned a lot of real estate in
the Dallas-Ft. Worth area as well as their hometown of Paris. Now Penny loved
the fact that the men were from Paris-she was the jokester of the two, and thought
it would be funny to introduce her boyfriend
(if it went that far)
from Paris and have him speak with a southern accent
instead of a french one! Jenny was speaking to Braeden about starting a
business and what it takes to succeed. Penny asked Kaeden to talk about
anything and just listened to his accent: unfortunately all Penny heard was
Blahblahblah...but at least she could hear it in his sensual drawl.

Next the girls moved on to the other set of twins, Devin and
Marcus. Now Jenny was all about Devin the swimmer. After all, Jenny took state
in her senior year for the 200 medley, and swam a mean 100 in the breaststroke!
So she got Devin to promise to show her his medals, and give some pool side
tips later in the evening. She just loved how his skin glowed and noticed some
pretty amber flecks in his chocolate brown eyes! Penny on the other hand, was
mesmerized by Marcus. Since she always seemed to let Jenny take the lead in
their real life adventures, she liked to get lost in the moment of almost anything
on the big or small screen. She especially loved to see the plays that her
grandmother took her to as she was growing up. She and Nana had a few special
girls' nights since Mrs. B. was so busy running the castle and raising 10 high
spirited young girls!

And last but not least, Jenny approached Dakota as Penny
spoke with Austin. Jenny asked Dakota how he got that rugged manly name. Dakota
told her that his father, who was Don Johnson the actor, and his mother Melanie
Griffith both loved that name and wanted their firstborn to bear that name.
Dakota was unbelievably good looking and his sea green eyes seemed to look into
Jenny's soul! As Jenny was being drawn in by Dakota, Penny was getting to know
Austin. He was a veterinarian relatively new to the Miami area. His specialty
was water fowl/birds, especially those exotic in nature. Well when Penny heard
this she just let out a squeal that startled Austin. She explained that she
wanted to adopt some baby flamingos, and Austin told her that he could take her
to a bird shelter at any time-he spent many hours volunteering there and could
give her a tour of the place. Both girls were like kids in a candy shop with
these bachelors-they were so excited to begin this new adventure. They felt as
if they were truly on their way to an amazing future...

Lara felt she must be living in a dream. Paul walked on one
side of her and Chris on the other as they walked through the gardens.
Jerry trailed behind. Lara would have felt guilty for ignoring him, but
he really didn’t seem to care. It did seem a bit strange to have all
these camera men around, but they were doing a pretty good job of staying in
the background. Jerry’s attitude made her uncomfortable though.
Finally she apologized to Chris and Paul and asked for some time alone with
Jerry.

“Jerry,” she asked laying her hand gently on his arm, “I
know you agreed to come here, but you don’t seem very interested. Am I –
a disappointment to you? Would you rather be with one of my older
sisters? I probably seem like a real kid to you.”

Jerry looked down at her in surprise. “Lara, I am so
sorry. You are lovely and your age isn’t my problem at all. Things
just – aren’t working out the way I planned.”

Suddenly, Lara realized where she had seen Jerry before.
She motioned the cameras away.

“You were with Tara at the party the other night. You
even walked out with her. Tara and I haven’t really talked since then,
but, did something happen between you?”

Jerry’s eyes flashed in anger. “I guess you could say
that. You know, I would have thought that Fleis would have checked things
out a little better. I’m sorry if your sister got knocked up by some bum,
but she doesn’t need to try and make me a father!”

He expected almost any reaction from Lara but the one he
saw. She began to laugh. She covered her mouth and tried to compose
herself, seeing the confusion on his face.

“Jerry, I don’t know what happened between you and Tara, but
I am absolutely SURE she isn’t pregnant. Look, Tara is older than me, but
she is – well - pretty naïve. She hasn’t really dated anyone
seriously. Look, I think you better talk to her about this, okay?”
Lara simply couldn’t find a way to tell him that Tara was still a virgin and
had just gotten through her period the day before the party.

Jerry was now totally mystified, but somehow he believed
Lara. He was pretty sure he would not be continuing on as her date,
but maybe it wasn’t too late for he and Tara.

Lara returned to her dates, still giggling and wondering
what her silly sister had gotten herself into. She held out her hands to
Paul and Chris. They grasped them eagerly.

“Guys,” she said sweetly, “I really need some time alone
with each of you. I want to know you better. Paul, could you hang
out with Jerry while Chris and I have some private time?”

Paul appeared to cheerfully agree but inwardly he was
cursing profusely. It didn’t help a bit when Chris smiled and spun her around
before they walked down a hidden path together.

Jerry squeezed his shoulder and said, “You got it that bad
already, man?”

Paul tried to deny it at first, then groaned.
“Yes. We had kind of already met and went out last night. We felt
something, or at least I did. But she is so into this Chris guy.”

Jerry smiled, “It’s early yet. Don’t back off
now. There still time for lots of things to happen.” Of course, he
wasn’t actually talking about Lara and Paul.

Lara couldn’t believe that she was looking into eyes as blue
as Chris’. She wanted to run her fingers all through that black curly
hair. She completely forgot the cameras. They began to talk about
music, naturally. She admitted to being a huge fan of his brother,
Josh. That didn’t bother Chris at all. Actually Lara thought Chris
was even better looking. She asked to hear him sing and they ended up in
a duet. His voice was incredibly sexy and he thought hers was beautiful.
As the song ended, he pulled her into a kiss and she happily
participated. It was a wonderful kiss, gentle with a touch of
passion. It was funny though, something seemed to be missing.

“Well,” Lara thought. “It’s just the first
kiss.” Then they returned to the others.

Paul was ready for her. He decided to play it
cool. They walked down the path and while he took her hand, he spent most
of the time teasing her. He pretended not to notice how her face had been
flushed and her lipstick a little smeared when she had returned with
Chris. Lara laughed with him and couldn’t help but notice how comfortable
they were together.

Finally Paul decided it was time to turn the heat up.

“You look incredibly awesome tonight. That dress is
just ridiculous, it’s so sexy.”

Lara blushed at that comment.

“I love your pendant too. I’ve never seen one like it
before.” Paul lifted it up to observe it more closely, but made sure his
knuckles rested lightly just above her bodice. Lara told him
about the history of the necklace and why she liked it so much.

“You like the Chronicles of Narnia?” he asked, “I love those
books.” He slid his arm around her shoulders as they talked. She
snuggled against him as a breeze chilled her. Paul quickly noticed her
shiver and took off his jacket, placing around her shoulders and pulled her
back into the curve of his arm.

Lara had never felt so protected and cared for. She
reached up and touched Paul’s cheek. He responded by pulling her into his
arms for a long, sweet kiss.

Lara completely enjoyed the kiss, but felt
uncomfortable. She had never in her life kissed two men just a few
minutes apart. It was fun, but felt very confusing. Suddenly she
heard Chris Harrison's announcement. She realized they had spent far too
much time away from the others so she and Paul hurried back to the swing.

Bonnie heard Chris' announcement with relief. I
mean Mark, Greg, and Fred were all very nice men, but they just weren’t the
ones for her, because they weren’t her Fred. She had however, spent the
evening listening to them and in all fairness, they weren’t the right men for
her even without Fred. Mark, the computer salesman was on the road almost
as much as a long distance truck driver. Bonnie had waited this long to
find the right guy and once she found him, she wanted him by her side as much
as possible, sharing intimate dinners, making decisions about curtains and
lamps and pictures for the walls, not to mention having someone to sleep beside
each night. Mark’s schedule would have gotten in the way of their
relationship. Greg, the golf pro, was a local guy, but Bonnie (shame on her for a girl of Scottish
descent)
thought golf was the stupidest game in the world! (I mean hitting a little ball with a stick
and trying to hit a hole 200 yards a way? I mean who thought up such an
effort in futility and decided to call it a game that was supposed to be
fun? It must have been a man!)
So, our usually unopinionated
and unflappable Bonnie did have a very strong and negative opinion concerning
golf which tarnished any chances with Greg. Now Fred, our Pickle
Merchant, just couldn’t “light a candle”
to Bonnie’s own Fred, so he didn’t “cut
the mustard”
either, even though Bonnie did like pickles.

Meanwhile, in Scotland, Bonnie’s Fred was having a
nightmare. It was 2:30 AM, Scottish time, and Fred was dreaming about
Bonnie, of course. In his dream, Bonnie was sitting on their bench in the
garden and a parade of handsome, wealthy, and debonair men were walking past
her. Any time Bonnie saw someone she liked at face value, she could
wiggle her little finger at him and he would come running out of the line, bow
to Bonnie, and then get in the line that was forming on her right, meaning he
had “made the cut” to the next phase. When the man parade was over, the
men left were told to get into their bathing suits. Then another parade
was made by the swimsuit clad guys and Bonnie again indicated who she wanted to
“stay.” The group was now narrowed down to ten of the handsomest men our
dreaming Fred had ever seen. In his sleep, Fred became all twisted up in
his sheets, his hands were punching up his pillow subconsciously. In the
dream, Bonnie stood up and removed the lovely rose gown she was wearing and
revealed a skin tight bikini in a floral pink material trimmed in neon green
and she looked stunning! Fred groaned in his sleep. Bonnie and the
10 lucky guys all jumped into a hot tub. With that Fred woke up, shook
his head, and was glad it had only been a dream, but it had been one of those
real ones that made it hard to believe what happened wasn’t really
true.

Now Tara is always the last one getting started with
anything because she has her head in a book all the time. She got her 3rd
notice that 3 bachelors were waiting for her and if she didn't get on the ball
the Ball would be held without her!

So Tara is waiting in the Library where she stays most of
the day anyway. In walks Patrick, who has the most beautiful sparkling
eyes she has ever seen. (Patrick
was one of the bachelors that Deanna let go early in her quest to find her one
and only)
. Sort of rugged looking, his smile would knock the ashes
off a cigarette! He is a computer genius and has been all over the world
for his knowledge and input. He is a very busy man and doesn't have much
time for reading. Tara smiles and asks Patrick "what is your
favorite book, Patrick" Patrick looks surprised and says,
"well, I don't read that much because I don't have a lot of leisure time
but I wrote a book called "How to learn to compute in one Hour"
"Oh, I read that book, Patrick. I must say though, it took me a lot
longer than an hour to even learn what certain words mean. Of example, to
me a mouse is a little rodent who likes to run around and look for cheese; and
cookies are something you eat, my favorite is oatmeal raisin, and a virus is
something I hate. I was so sick last year, I had to go to the hospital
for dehydration. And those symbols like }{()&$#!^+, other than their
actual use, people use them to express certain ideas or make certain remarks;
I'm still trying to understand that. I could go on and on but you get my
drift, I'm sure.""Well, Tara, I will be happy to teach you anytime
you like" "Thank you Patrick, I'll see you later"

In walks Daniel, Actually Daniel is Maj. Daniel Boone
Pickens, a pilot in the US. Air Force and a graduation of West Point, tops in
his class and is a Top Gun instructor. He is one handsome dude, sort of
looks like Tom Cruise. Tara smiles and says "Thanks for you service
to our country General" Daniel laugh's and says, "I'm not a
General, I'm a Major in the US Air Force." Tara asks,
"and what is your favorite book, Major?" "What do you
mean, my favorite book to read?" "Yes, Major, what is your favorite
book to read" "Well, little lady I love the book "How to fly an
Airplane" , that's my favorite! "Oh, I've read that book,
loved it too, Major!" " I like the part where some girl, well
you know all about that book" "Ah, Tara, no I don't remember
that" replies Daniel. "Oh, yes, that must be another book I
read, some lady wrote it about some interesting things" After I read
it, I had to throw it away!! Well, Major, I'll talk with you later"

George comes in, he's not very tall, he wears the old round
black eye glasses that is always falling down on his nose and he is constantly
having to push them back in place. "Well, hello, George,"
smiles Tara. " What is your favorite book to read, George? asks
Tara. "Well, I don't really like to read books, I'm a comic book nut
myself; I love all the Superman, Captain Marvel, Spiderman, all the super hero
comic books and I love to go to the movies; I've seen the first Superman a
hundred times I know!" " Well, George, that's nice to know"
Thanks for coming and I'll be in later to talk with you." Bye!

Tara, is so sad; she thinks these guys are great, but right
away she knows she has no romantic feelings for any of them. She believes
the Major would be a great catch for her friend, Stacy who's real name is
Stacylynn Isabella Morgan; Stacy for short. And she thinks Patrick would
be just right for another friend, Mary Margaret, better known as Em! They
will be there to give her some advice, so she will be sure to introduce them to
the two men. As for George, she knows just the person for him; Annabelle
Gibson, who loves Wonder Woman comic books, and the TV series as much as
George loves his super heroes. So, she is going to call Annabelle right
away to come and help her with her choice.

Tara knows that she made a really, really, really, really
big mistake when she thought she and Jerry had been intimate. She wishes
her mother had told me about all this many years ago because although she had
an IQ of 150, she knew diddly squat about sex!

Tara is quite happy with the results of her introducing
Stacy to Patrick; Em to the Major and Annabelle to George. Everyone is
getting along just fine. Stacy is going to enjoy Patrick teaching her
about the computer, which she doesn't even know how to turn on. Em is a
army brat, so she and the Major have a lot of common. Since she is afraid
of flying, Daniel says he will make sure she comes to love it and once the fear
is over, he's going to give her flying lessons. Annabelle and George has
their noses in comic books, and could care less what is going on!

Tara is ready for the Ball! She's dressed in a
beautiful yellow taffeta gown that she paid $10.00 for a a thrift shop; it's
strapless and gathers at the waist with a full skirt. She has her hair in
a page boy and looks so lovely as she enters the Ballroom alone. She has a
book in her hand. It's titled. "How to know when you are
Pregger" by someone named Pork Chop! Go figure that! She is
not a happy camper for she is going to tell her parents and Chris, she will not
marry any of the three men and that they are in love already with three of her
friends. She sits and waits!

Suddenly Jenny and Penny, along with their gentlemen
callers, heard Chris Harrison announce that it was time to meet in the Bonnet
Ballroom! The girls couldn't believe how fast the time had flown. Even though
they had some idea of how they were feeling about their "men" the
girls hoped the cocktail party would give them a little more insight into the
bachelors. At this point Jenny and Penny wanted one of each! The girls felt
strange to be escorted to the ballroom by three men each, and Penny just wished
she had a third arm to hang on to all three at once! So as the lights twinkled
in the night, Jenny and Penny were living out their "dream" and
walking up the flagstone steps, glowing with excitement. All of the bachelors
were thanking their lucky stars to be assigned to these twins. They were
beautiful and seemed to be the most fun loving of all the Bonnet women. They
too were looking forward to getting to know the twins better, and each wanted
to make that special connection with Jenny/Penny. And so the six, escorting the
raven haired beauties, entered the ballroom with great anticipation and hopes
for their own fairy tale ending...

At 10:00 PM, Chris’ voice could be heard on the
intercom: “Ladies and Gentlemen, please assemble now in the Grand
Ballroom for a special Cocktail Party where everyone is invited to
mingle. Our Bachelorettes know how to get here, guys, so don’t get lost,”
joked Chris.

A few minutes later, groups began drifting into the
Ballroom, where a small band was playing pleasant, easy listening kinds of
songs. Most of those arriving, headed for the refreshments. After
two straight hours of talking, supplemented with light finger food and glasses
of wine or water, most of our Bachelors and Bachelorettes were ready for
something more substantial. After making selections from a generous
buffet, they found random places at four round tables that each
seated 10, allowing for groups to mingle while they ate and broaden their
new acquaintances. With few exceptions, everyone was in good spirits, if
a bit anxious about the final decisions that would be made an hour later.

Bonnie and Jane met in the middle of the room to see how the
other had done with her Bachelors. “Mine are all very nice,” said Bonnie,
“but they’re just not Fred!” “I know,” said Jane. “Don’t worry,
though, I have it on good authority that Fred is missing you, just as much as
you are missing him.” “Really!” Bonnie exclaimed, looking truly animated
for the first time that evening. “Yes, and you won’t believe who I heard
it from!” “Who?” “Jeremy Darsley is here and, don’t faint, but he
is actually one of my Bachelors!”

Richard and Eric were noshing on chicken wings and comparing
notes about teaching, as well as, saying what a great girl Sara was. Nick
and Matt were wandering around, looking for Louise, because even though
she really hadn’t given them the time of day yet, they hoped to make a good
impression on their Bachelorette during the Cocktail Party.

In the mean time, Susie Q. had requested some one on one
time with each of her bachelors trying to get to know each one of them to
attempt a fair approach at the end of the evening. First she spoke with
Fernando, he offered to teach her to Tango and passed along his business card
with all of the studio information on it. She laid it on the table seeming not
so interested. Fernando wondered to himself what he had done wrong. Next, she
spent time with Brett, the doctor. They talked and laughed and found it to be
an easy conversation. It didn’t hurt that she thought he was super HOT, with
his wavy blonde hair and deep blue eyes! She adored Michael from the start, so
she spent the most time with him. She gave him a brief tour of the Bonnet
Castle and they found a small quiet room to just sit and talk. He was such a
gentleman the entire night and she appreciated that. The only thing she wasn’t
so sure about was moving so far away to Nebraska if they did decide to date so
she held back, just a little. They also heard the announcement that it was time
to head to the cocktail party. Upon standing, Michael grabbed Susie’s hand and
pulled her in to a smooth, gentle sweet kiss that she did not expect, although
she did enjoy it. She blushed, and with that, they headed back to the front
parlor to get Fernando and Brett so they could all go to the party together.

Kara, Colin, Zack, and Preston had a wonderful time talking
and laughing in the game room. They were light-hearted as they headed into the
ballroom Colin was tall, with brown hair
and green eyes, and looked a lot like Fred. Kara was surprised to learn that he was Fred's
younger brother! He had a
personality similar to his brother-very intelligent, funny, and just an
all-around great guy.
Zack was on the short side, extremely handsome, with dark brown hair and eyes. He was really sweet, and also had a great
sense of humor. Preston was tall, with
blue eyes and light colored hair. He was very nice, but much more quiet than the other two. At the ball, they continued their converstion
from before, telling each other all about their families. Kara was a little startled when she heard
Preston say, "I would love to introduce you to my sisters, they would love
you. Ginny is studying Interior Design here in Miami, and Samantha, she's a
little busy right now, getting settled. She
just moved in with her boyfriend recently, and she works at Barnes & Noble
bookstore." Kara wondered-could
this be the SAME Samantha?

Jerry is wandering around just thinking about the last few
days. He enters a hallway wher e the lights
are dim. He looks around, trying to
figure out which way to go to the Ballroom. He hears some sniffles, then
sobbing. He turns around and over in the corner he sees someone dressed
in a bright yellow gown. He goes over and is about to ask the girl what's
wrong when he smells a special perfume. He has smelled that perfume
before and he wonders where. At a table, the girl has her head down on an
arm with the other over her head. There's a book nearby. He looks
at it and he sees a tiny baby in a mother's womb with its finger in its
mouth. The caption says fetus at 5 months. Wow, he thinks, what a
picture. He's never seen anything like it before; of course, he has no
reason to see anything like that; he's single and even though his sisters have
children, he never saw pictures of their babies before birth.

"Ah, is everything okay,"he asks? "Go
away, leave me alone," the girl cries with her head still down, "just
go away." "That's a beautiful picture you're looking at; I've
never seen a baby before it's born; have you?" "No, "says
Tara, sobbing harder. "Please, just leave!" Jerry says,
"well, I hope you get to feeling better; if you're expecting a baby, that
must be a nice book to have." Sobbing louder, Tara says, "I
wish!" "Oh, I wish!" "Well, I'm sure it will
happen someday and rather than crying with sadness, you'll be crying with
joy!" He turns and starts walking away. Jerry is not aware
that this is Tara and Tara is not aware this is Jerry.

As he leaves, Jerry is thinking "Boy was I tempted; she
looked to beautiful in my t-shirt and in my bed, and she kept saying, 'Please
make love with me, please." Oh boy, why didn't I just go ahead?
He knew why; he respected Tara too much to do such a thing. He leaves the
room with tears in his eyes. That little baby was so beautiful!!

Tara picks up the book and thinks Wouldn't it be wonderful to see my baby this way?
Tara gets up and leaves by another door.

Jerry stops . . . the perfume . . . he remembers, it's Tara;
he rushes back down the hallway and looks around, she's gone.

Writer's note: It's a good time to go over the elimination
rules. Each Bachelorette at the end of tonight may keep one, two, or all
three of her bachelors or send them all home. If she sends them all home,
next Monday three more Bachelors will show up to meet her. Meanwhile, the
girls who have kept Bachelors can go on as many dates as they want with
one, two, or three of her bachelors. For instance, she could have an
individual date with each guy and a couple of group dates with all of them
or she could choose one guy and go on several individual dates with
him and go on dates with the other two guys together. Of
course, since our Bachelorettes are all sisters, and particularly in Jenny
& Penny's case, they can double date with a sister and her Bachelor(s), if
they want to. So, just about anything goes!

But at the end of the Cocktail Party tonight, in age order,
each Bachelorette and her Bachelors will be taken to a small room near
the Grand Ballroom and she will tell each guy if she wants to continue with him
or is sending him home (none of those roses)!
The Bachelorettes who send home one
or two guys tonight will date who is left this week and will also be given some
new Bachelors next Monday to replace the ones who leave tonight, but only if
she wants to meet more Bachelors. I hope that makes sense! S&T

Jeremy found Bonnie and Jane together and began immediately
to make amends. “Bonnie, I owe you a huge apology regarding Fred and I
want you to know I’m really sorry. I promise . . . I’m going to have him back to you in one week,
in fact by next Monday night! I want you to know, I was looking out for
him because he had recently been hurt by another girl and I totally misjudged
your character and I am truly sorry. Will you please forgive me?”
Bonnie, who was so happy to hear Jeremy’s message, reached up and hugged Jeremy
and kissed his cheek, whispering, “Oh, thank you, thank you, so much!”
Jeremy, who had not considered Bonnie an affectionate person and thought it was
her big flaw, now really understood how badly he had misjudged her.
Looking at Jane, over Bonnie's shoulder, with puppy dog eyes, he mouthed,
“I’m so sorry.” Jane was so touched by his sincerity and his willingness
to acknowledge his mistake and reunite Bonnie and Fred that her heart began to
soften regarding the high and mighty “Lord Darsley.”

Nick and Matt approached Chris Harrison. They reported
that they had looked everywhere for Louise and could not find her. She
had definitely not made it to the Cocktail Party and neither had Ron.
Chris became concerned and went to see the Stage Manager to see if any of the
cameras had Louise in sight. He also notified Jane, knowing that she was
the “go to” girl in this family.

After searching high and low for Louise, Jane discovered a note, lying on the settee in the back parlor. It was
addressed to The Bonnets and ABC, and was written in Louise’s
handwriting. It read:

Dear Mom, Dad, Sisters, Nick, Matt, & ABC,

I have some exciting news! Ron and I have left for Scotland. By the time you read this,
we will have taken the last plane to Edinburgh. Ron knows of a special
little chapel there where we can be married. Don’t worry! I am so
happy! I love you! Ron is the finest man I know! Be happy for
me. I’ll be in touch soon. Oh, and don’t worry about KMPG and
Coca-Cola, I’ll call them in the morning and tell them I’m taking some vacation
time!

Hugs & Kisses!

Love Always, Louise

P.S. Sorry Nick and Matt, you both seem like great guys! Maybe one of my sisters is the right girl for each of you! Good Luck!

Well, let’s just say that Louise’s little note caused quite
a stir! “All right,” said Chris, “We’ve never had this happen before on
this series! How’s this for a new twist? A Bachelorette eloping on
the first night! Good thing we have nine more lovely ladies to
watch!” . . . .Mrs. B was all in a tizzy, “Louise is getting married!
How wonderful! Mr. B., one down and nine to go! Aren’t you
glad I signed that contract?” Mr. B. really didn’t know what to
think. He hadn’t decided whether Ron was a good guy or a bad guy. .
. . Jeremy knew the answer to that. “Jane,” he said, pulling her
quietly aside. “I have to go immediately. I’m afraid I’ve made
another terrible mistake by not warning you about Ron.” “What do you
mean?” asked Jane, whose face had turned quite pale. “He is an out and
out scoundrel . . . always promising to marry a girl when he thinks she has
money . . . having his way with her . . . using her . . . and then abandoning
her when he’s spent every penny she had.” Jane dropped into a
chair. “Jeremy, I wish you had told us.” “I know. It was a
huge error in judgment. I had hoped he had learned his lesson after the
last scrape I had gotten him out of, but I guess it’s true that a skunk doesn’t
change his colors. I’m going after them and I’ll make sure he does right
by your sister and then I’m sending Fred home to Bonnie and after that, I hope
you’ll be willing to forgive me.” “Jeremy, if it makes you feel any
better. I already do. I’ve also totally misjudged your character,
as well as Ron’s, and I’m just as sorry as you are.” “Jane, those are the
best words I have ever heard. Jeremy bent and kissed Jane full on the
lips and after looking deeply into her eyes, quickly left the Castle, heading
for the airport.

Chris called everyone to the center of the Ballroom and made
this announcement. “It has been a very full and exciting evening, here at
Bonnet Castle with the lovely Bonnet sisters. ABC is happy to report
another ABC Bachelorette marriage . . . well, an alleged marriage, at
this point! (pause) For
the rest of you, let me explain how things will be. In a few minutes,
each Bachelorette will be making a decision about each of her Bachelors.
Each Bachelor will either be invited to stay and date their Bachelorette or be
sent home. Bonnie, as the oldest, please leave the Ball room with your
Bachelors now, enter our Decision Room, and let each of your Bachelors know his
fate.”

Bonnie led the way to the Decision Room with Mark, Greg, and
Fred walking behind her. Upon arrival, Bonnie took a deep breath and told
them what was on her heart, “Mark, Greg, and Fred, you are all wonderful men
and you are all going to make a lucky lady very happy some day, but I have to
be totally honest with you. I recently met a man that I don’t think I can
live without. Unfortunately, he had to go away for a while, but he should
be back soon, and it would be so unfair of me to keep you here any
longer. For that reason, I must make the decision to send you all
home. Mark, Greg, and Fred each gave Bonnie a hug and were all good
sports, knowing they were better off going home if Bonnie really loved someone
else anyway. Besides, since they were all being “given the boot,” it somehow didn’t hurt so much. On the way
out to the limo, they planned to hit the bar when they got back to the hotel
and see if there might be some other Miami ladies who weren’t already committed
to another guy.

Jane went next. She spoke to Sam first. “Sam,
you are obviously a very talented and interesting person with a lot to offer
any girl. Unfortunately, I just can’t see myself fitting into the
Hollywood lifestyle that is so important to you. For this reason, I am
going to send you home, but I’m going to give you a phone number of a good
friend of mine named Mackie (who for our
story’s purposes is not married nor pregnant)
who is a huge movie buff and
is out in Hollywood working on the Campaign for one of our Presidential
candidates whose name I cannot mention here. Mackie is a wonderful woman
with a good heart and I’m sure she would love to know you.” Sam said he understood and would be very happy
to give Mackie a call and left like the true gentleman he was. Jane then
took Peter Firestone’s hands, “Peter, it has been a pleasure getting to know
you tonight. I feel like we have a lot in common and I would love it if
you would stay around and have some dates with me this week. “Peter gave
Jane a hug and a kiss on the cheek and said, “That would also make me very
happy. I’m looking forward to getting to know you better, Jane.”
Peter then was ushered out to the limos. Now Jeremy had already
left for Scotland, but Jane told Chris she would also like to keep Jeremy as
one of her Bachelors. So our discriminating Jane, surprisingly, actually
kept two of her Bachelors!
