Writer’s Note: On August 21, 2008, we started a story loosely based on Jane Austen’s wonderful Classic, Pride And Prejudice. We wrote this version knowing we could never be a match for Austen and her wonderful writing and wit. We wrote it for the fun of it and enjoyed combining a modern twist inspired by the ABC Classic, The Bachelor/Bachelorette series, with a barebones allusion to Austen’s plot. This is a reposting of our story for anyone who is interested. We hope you will enjoy it!

P.S. In this “rebroadcast” version, the person who wrote each post’s name will be at the top!

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE REVISITED

Once upon a time in a little castle in Miami, Florida, there lived a family name Bonnet. The Bonnets were a very respectable family with a fine name whose fortune had unfortunately dwindled to almost nothing, due to decades of mismanagement and the recent recession of the American economy. Because of these factors, the Bonnet’s castle that was actually called “Bonnet Castle” was a bit rundown and drafty. Therefore, it was a good thing the Castle was located in sunny Florida where it didn’t get too cold or the Bonnets would have had trouble heating the many rooms of their family abode. Now Mr. and Mrs. Bonnet had no sons, but lots of daughters, in fact, there were 10 of them. The oldest, who was 30, was a beautiful, very kind young lady named Bonnie. Her closest companion was the next oldest sister, named Jane, who was 29. Jane was pretty in her own right, but more known for her brains, her taste, and her observant view of the world. Following Jane, was Susie Q, age 28, who had been named after the 50’s song. Susie Q was a real cutie and a smarty pants, too. Louise, 27, was the next in order and she was very jealous of her three older sisters and could be mean to her 6 younger sisters, so sometimes she caused trouble. Next, came a lovely, but not too bright set of 26 year-old twins, called Jenny & Penny (what else?). Mr. and Mrs. Bonnet must have needed some time to recover from having twins, because their next daughter was 24 and her name was Tara. After Tara came Sara, 23, Kara, 22, and Lara, 21. (Once Mr. and Mrs. Bonnet had the twins, they seemed to have gone on a rhyming spree!)

Mr. Bonnet, whose full name was Jeremiah Bullfrog Bonnet,
III, was a sullen man, who was a bit beaten down by life and all of his worries
and tended to sit in his study, pondering his problems and playing
solitaire. On the other hand, Mrs. Bonnet, known as Clarissa to her
friends, was a bit flighty and downright silly. Her one priority in life
was getting her daughters married any way she could. So she impulsively
signed a contract with ABC for a reality TV show about finding the right man
for each of her daughters. Mr. Bonnet, who we can begin right here
calling “Mr. B,” threw a fit when he found out what his wife had done, but they
kissed and made up when “Mrs. B” told him that ABC was giving them “One Million
Dollars” to do the show, plus helping to screen at least some of the young men
who would be vying for their daughters’ hands in the new show called “The
Bonnet Bachelorettes.”

The Bonnets were told by ABC to go about their lives,
despite any cameras that were set up and running 24/7, and to “just do their
thing,” which they did. One day, they got an invitation to Donald Trump’s
Miami Castle called Mini Mar-a-Lago, a smaller version of the real Mar-a-Lago
that was in Palm Beach. So, of course, Mrs. Bonnet was all in a tizzy and
she happily accepted the invitation to the Ball, but then she immediately began
to worry about how they would manage to dress all of their 10 daughters.
The Bonnets were then pleased to learn that the contract Mrs. B had signed
included a generous wardrobe allowance for each of their daughters, because ABC
didn’t want them looking like “Poor Little Church Mice,” on their classy, new
High Fidelity TV show!”
(So,
although Mrs. B. was silly, she was not totally dumb!)

The night of the Ball, the Bonnets arrived in style in an
impressive ABC stretch limo. They entered the Ball and rubbed elbows with
all the hoity toities of Miami’s Upper Crust Society and were enjoying their 15
minutes of fame when two handsome men arrived at the Ball. The first was
a pleasant faced, friendly looking fellow whose last name, by coincidence also
started with a B. His name was Bingo, William Bingo, that is. Now
it is important to mention that William’s full name was William Frederick
Bingo, because instead of being called William, Will, Bill or any other
nickname for his first name, William was actually called Fred (go Figure) because of his middle
name. It just made it easier because there were already at least 5
William’s in his family, including his father, his grandfather, an uncle, and
two cousins, so he had always been called Fred
(and you will know exactly what Fred was like, if you saw the
Bachelorette show with DeAnna!)
With Fred, was a very handsome man
who seemed a bit displeased to be at this shin-dig. He was none other
than the very wealthy Mr. Charles Jeremy Darsley, who for similar reasons was
usually called Jeremy or Darsley, rather than Charles. Now Jeremy was
extremely “Perfect” and he had a lot of trouble with people who could not be as
perfect as himself.

From across the room, Fred saw a beautiful face that made him tingle all over. He
elbowed Darsley and indicated that he had to meet that girl. So, they
crossed the room and Fred saw that his old friend from boarding school, named
Sean was already talking to her, so he found a way to get introduced.
Sean was happy to see his old buddy and gave him a “man hug,” saying, “Fred,
old man, how are you?” “Great! It’s good to see you Sean.”
Sean being used to all of the proper etiquette at these Balls, politely
introduced Fred to Bonnie Bonnet, the girl he had had his eye on, and her
sister Jane. “Delighted to meet you,” said Fred to them both, but looking
directly into Bonnie’s beautiful brown eyes. “Would you like to dance,
Bonnie.” Bonnie who seemed equally impressed by Fred said, “Yes, of
course!” and the two went off to waltz around the room. Darsley, who had
also been introduced, looked a bit bored. Jane, being polite, asked him
if he liked to dance. Darsley replied, “Not really, especially with all
this riff raff.” “Now really, Jer,” said Sean, “I know you’re only
joking, but that’s really uncalled for.” “Sorry, if I offended you,
Jane.” Jeremy said contritely, a bit embarrassed that he had not
displayed “Perfect etiquette” himself. “Not at all,” said Jane.
“Please, excuse me.” Jane then walked off with admirable dignity to see
how her other sisters were doing. Jeremy found that for some reason, he
couldn’t take his eyes off of Jane. “Now you’ve done it, old man,” rubbed
in Sean. “That Jane has the memory of an elephant. She never
forgets!”

Jane crossed the room to where Susie Q was talking with Brian McGregor, their very distant
cousin who was 30 generations removed, so it really didn’t count. Susie,
who had strawberry blonde hair that fell in soft natural curls had put her head
together with the very tall, blondish Brian, and they were exchanging harmless
gossip about the attendees. “Did you see Elvira Tudwaddle? What was
she thinking when she had her hair done today?” “I think she was going
for the “bird’s nest” look.” Jane, was about to speak to them, when,
being very observant, she saw her sister, Louise, watching Susie and Brian with
a telltale look of envy on her face. Jane went to Louise’s side saying,
“What’s Up, Sis?” “Nothing,” Louise replied. “Absolutely
nothing. Nothing exciting ever happens to me.” “Well, let’s walk
around the room together and see if we can find something exciting along the
way,” Jane suggested to disrupt Louise’s “pity party”. Louise figured she
had “nothing” to lose, so she fell into place beside Jane.

During their walk, Jane and Louise came upon their mother who was all atwitter with, well what can we say, excitement.
Mrs. B. had enough excitement
(and had
had a few too many double martinis
) for all of them. She was bragging
in a rather drunken state, “My daw-ters are the prit-ti-est girls in this
room.” She said, waving her glass in a wild swing of her arm that
threatened to spill her drink and smash the glass into a nearby marble
column. “Yew see,” she said pointing across the room with the same glass,
“my Jenny and . . . oh, what’s her name . . . umm! oh, Penny? Jus
look at em.” “Mother,” said Jane, quite embarrassed by the scene her
mother was causing, “Father needs to see you out on the veranda.” “Oh,
Mr. B! He’s my husband yew know, my dear.” “Yes, mom, we know.”
Said Jane quietly, as she and a mortified Louise each took one of their
mother’s arms and led her outside.

Meanwhile, Back at the Castle . . .

While the Bonnets were hobnobbing with Miami’s finest, ABC was preparing a little
surprise. They had arranged with HGTV to borrow all of their designers,
decorators, carpenters, and crews for a desperately needed one night overhaul
on Bonnet Castle. So, while the Bonnets were socializing, the decorators
were color splashing, decorating on a dime, and staging the formerly shabby
Castle, into the “new and improved version!” In no time flat, all 50
rooms of that Castle were sparkling like the diamond rings Mrs. B hoped her
daughters would soon be wearing. (And at a rate of $2,000 per room, ABC
had only needed to shell out $100,000, a
real bargain in this day and age! Fleiss then pressed his Staples
Button: Now that was easy!)

Donald Trump, of course, wanting to be the consummate host had spared no expense on
the food, beverages, or the entertainment. Halfway through the evening,
the guests were invited out to the enormous back lawn for a private showing of
Cirque du Soleil’s latest show. It was the story of a young man
(who was an exceptional contortionist in
reality),
and his amazing adventures in Outer Space. The star of the
show was a new talent by the unusual name of Twilley. Twilley made quite
an impression on the esteemed audience during the show, so when he joined the
Ball after his performance he was flocked by admirers and had gained instant
popularity. No small feat among these picky top-dwellers.

Brian met up with Jeremy by the punch
bowl. “Darsley, fancy meeting you here,” said Brian with his slight
Scottish accent, leftover from his childhood days. He and Jeremy had been
roommates at Princeton. “”Brian! This Ball of the Trumpster’s seems
to be old home week! What have you been up to?” Brian, who had been
a star basketball player on the Princeton team, filled Jeremy in. “I’m
developing a chain of Sports Centers. They’re called Brian’s House of
Pain Basketball Sharpshooting Centers. Maybe you’ve heard of them.”
“Actually, Brian,” Jeremy replied, “I’m a major shareholder. I knew you’d
find a clever way to enter the American marketplace.
Congratulations! We seem to be doing very well. Opening a new chain
here in Miami, aren’t we?” “Actually, we’re opening five Centers in the
greater Miami area, Jer. Basketball is very popular down here!
Thank goodness!”

Tara is
sitting over in a corner, trying hard to be inconspicuous, with her head in a
book. It's title is "The Last Lecture" by a man she adores,
Randy Rausch. Tara is a real intellect and she could care less about
parties, men, marriage, children

(although she would love to have some one day if she could have them by
immaculate conception - men are not on her radar at the present)
.

Entering the
front door is a man named Jerry; he is a good friend of Donald's and had been
the bachelor chosen by Jen several season ago. She had refused his
proposal at the AFTRC. Jerry had on his arm, an older lady, who he was
signing to. She is his mother and she is deaf. Everyone sees this
special bond of love between mother and son and several comment on the
signing. Donald comes forward, "Jerry, my boy, welcome; hello Mrs.
F, I'm so happy you are here, enjoy yourself and, Jerry, when you have some
time I'd like to chat with you about a few things
." (Jerry has been signing as Donald is talking and with his
reply-Jerry will be doing this throughout when his mother is around)
.

Tara lays
down her book and goes to get something to drink. As she approaches the
bar, she sees Jerry, his mother and Donald, and she sees Jerry signing.
Tara smiles and she can understand everything being said. As a young
girl, Tara had read and seen the movie of the life of Helen Keller and decided
she would learn to sign. She got books and went to school to learn the
language. Tara was always the "learner"; she wanted to
know just about everything. After getting her drink; she turns to go
back to her reading, and as she does, she runs right into Jerry and spills her
drink all over him. It's just water, because that's the only thing she
drinks. "Oh, I'm so sorry, she says, it's only water, but I'm so
sorry!" Jerry has his mother by his side and he says "That's
okay, as you say, it's only water and I don't melt." Tara smiles and
so does Mrs. F. She is eyeing Tara with interest and sees what a beauty she is;
a natural beauty, no makeup but so pretty and dainty.

Meanwhile,
the other Bonnet girls were having fun with their usual crowd. Sara,
Kara, and Lara were joking with male buds Mick, Nick, and Rick. They were
all just friends, no romances going on here. They waved across the room to Paris
Hilton who they had known their whole lives. Sara was thinking how nice
it was to have a new dress for the Ball. Hers was a blue cobalt satin
number that was perfectly suited for her figure and her coloring of blonde
hair and peaches and cream complexion. After the recent financial woes of
her family, it was really lovely to have some new “duds!”

Also on their way to the ball were Graham and his new soap
opera girlfriend, Chrishell and Bob, the former ABC Bachelor, with his soap
opera wife, Rebecca. They were all great friends since the 2 ladies both
appeared on ABC’s AMC (All My Children). Brian asked Graham to come to Miami
for the opening of his new Sports Centers, since Graham was a pro-basketball
player after all. It also just so happened that the ladies were filming in
Miami this week for a “vacation” on their show. While walking into the ball, they see Mrs.
Bonnet outside with her daughters, Jane and Louise whom are doing their best to
try to sober up their mother and save them all a night of embarrassment. Chrishell and Rebecca snicker to
themselves thinking that it was quite early in the evening for her to already
be drunk. They continue walking in when Mrs. B catches a glimpse of the soap
opera ladies and suddenly jumps up! Stumbling and almost falling on the way,
she runs after the couples yelling “Heeeeyyyyy…. Aren’t you, umm… you are those
girrlls from . . . I know, you are Amanda and Greenlee!”

Since she has been a stay at home mother all of these years,
she has watched every moment of ‘All My Children’ and was obviously
“star-struck” most of all by Chrishell, who we’ll call Chris from now on and
Rebecca.

Fred and Bonnie were floating around the room on “Cloud 9,” doing the waltz, cha-cha,
tango, or whatever was being played and bonding as a couple. “Do you like
seafood?” “Love it!” Me too!” “Do you play tennis?” “My
favorite sport!” “Oh, that’s great! I was on the team in High
School and College.” “Are you a half glass empty or full person?”
“Full!” “Only way to be in my book!” “You’re a beautiful person,
inside and out!” (Sigh!) “So are you!” (Sigh!) It seems they
were really made for each other. AWWWW!
Then Louise cut in, asking if she could have a dance with Fred. Bonnie
kindly said she needed a break any way and would go powder her nose.

Mr. B., called J.B. (for Jeremiah Bullfrog) by his friends, was feeling a bit encouraged by the influx of funds from ABC, and was talking with Andrew Firestone about a new product line that Firestone Wines was planning to introduce to the market. “Well, J.B., I am expecting the Winotpop (pronounced why-not-pop) to be very well received in the marketplace. It crosses several food and use categories.” “Sounds very interesting,” said Mr. B., “I think I’d like to get in on the ground floor for this one.” “We’d be happy to have you, J.B. Just talk to Ruggles (meaning Andrew’s trusted assistant) on Monday.” “Will do!” said a happy Mr. B., who had had a similar conversation with Brian earlier that evening and was planning to invest in the Sports Centers as well. With a lighter heart, he stepped away from Andrew and, feeling a bit frisky, started to look for his wife.”

Back outside...

Mrs. B caught up to the Soap Opera ladies and
not wanting to be rude, they stopped to chat with her for a moment. Realizing
that she has caused a scene to all of the guests standing out front, she
giggled to herself and promptly introduced herself and explains who she is and
that her 10 beau-ti-ful daughters are going to be the new Bachelorettes! Jane that has finally caught up with the group
says, “Mother, now really . . . let’s go back over and have a seat under that
tree.” Jane makes eye contact that says (I’m sorry) to Chris (Amanda) and
Rebecca (Greenlee). Mrs. B talks to the
girls as though they are in character still calling them by their AMC names.
She proceeds to tell them while slurring her words that she has been watching
AMC for “thirr-tee yearss” and has always hoped to meet the fabulous Erica
Kane. The girls laugh and agree that yes, Erica is indeed Fabulous!! Mrs. B notices Bob standing there and recalls
that he is the daytime tv host. She then
looks to Graham and says, “My, aren’t you some fine young gentlemen.” She asks each of the men if they have any
fine, young single friends that would be interested in dating her 10 daughters.
The guys say that they probably have a
few and will definitely refer them her way. By this time Jane is doing everything she can
to convince her mother to let these couples be on their way. Rebecca speaks up and tells Mrs. B, “If you
are ever in New York, you should come by the studios, Chris and I would love to
show you around.” Mrs. B lights up and
can hardly contain herself. “Ree-lly?”
she asks. Rebecca nods and politely says,
“ Of course, we’ll even introduce you to The Fabulous Erica Kane!” She screeches with excitement and thanks the
girls, and the guys reminding them to send their fine, young single friends her
(daughter’s) way. She lets them go on their way adding, “Have a
double martini from the bartender in the front bar!!” The couples wave and proceed on their way into
the ball while Jane grabs her mothers arm and pulls her back over to the bench
under the large tree making her sit, and hopefully sober up before returning
back to the ball.

Mr. B. came out of Mini-Mar-a-Lago looking for Mrs. B. and was waved over by Jane.
"Clarissa, dear, would you like to dance?" he asked, oblivious to his
wife's condition. "Dad," said Jane, "Mom's been drinking a
few too many Martini's tonight, if you know what I mean." "Oh,
Jane, I'm sorry and you've been left as ‘caretaker,’ while I've been
enjoying a very successful evening. How about if I take her off your
hands and get her home?" "Do you want me to come and help out,
Dad?" "No, dear, you've done enough. Go and enjoy
yourself. I'll take care of things." Mr. B. then took over,
guiding his wife to the circular driveway and having his limo paged. Then
Mr. and Mrs. B. headed for home.

Jane returned to the ballroom with a flush on her cheeks brought on by the efforts of
handling her mother. If she had looked in a mirror, she would have been
surprised by how lovely she appeared. Jane was wearing an emerald green
silk dress that matched her eyes and her brown hair was pulled back and up,
falling from where it was pinned, in loose curls down her back. A lively
jig was playing and Cousin Brian drew up beside her, took her hands, and led
her onto the floor. Jane loved a good jig, so she didn’t protest and
looked quite charming as she revealed competent dance skills. Jeremy
Darsley, who had been watching her since she entered the room, was enchanted.

Louise and Stacy were sitting in the corner, dishing on all
the other sisters at the party. Louise was especially miffed at Bonnie
and Fred. "He just walked off like I wasn't even there!!"
Stacy suggested that Louise stir things up a bit. Although it was a true
cliche, Louise got a glass of red wine and walked up to Bonnie and Fred who
were sipping Champaign and gazing into each others eyes. At Louise's
greeting they reluctantly turned to her. Louise began talking expansively
about the grandeur of the party. She gestured with her hands broadly,
despite the red wine. Then
(as
planned)
Stacey came up behind her and accidentally bumped her arm.
Red wine cascaded all over Bonnie's beautiful dress. Bonnie ran to the
bathroom in tears, leaving Fred to look after her forlornly.

Louise and Stacy walked away with malicious giggles and ran
smack into an interesting hairdresser named Ron. Somehow they immediately
knew that he would become their partner in making the night interesting all of
Louise's sisters.

Tara is a nervous wreck. She takes one look at Jerry and she forgets all about
immaculate conception! She grabs a napkin and begins to wipe Jerry's
shirt and pants and getting just a little to close to you know where!
Jerry just smiles. Tara turns around, grabs a glass and raises it, drinks
it in one gulp! It is not water. "Oh my, this is the best
water I've ever tasted"; she grabs another and gulps that one down. Jerry
sees what is happening and he takes the next one Tara grabs, "You'd better
to careful Sweetie, this isn't water, it's wine and if you drink another one, I
may have to pick you up off this floor, which wouldn't be a bad idea come to
think of it!" "Oh my, oh my, o...h, m....e, o,
m..y!!" Tara is now a little unsteady on her feet and Jerry is ready
to catch her. He turns to his Mom and tells her he's going to take Tara
outside for some fresh air. He makes sure his Mom is comfortable and at
the same time has his arm around Tara to keep her from falling.
"Steady now, Sweetie, I gotcha! Just come with me and let's get some
fresh air" He takes her outside on the veranda, keeping his arm
around her. "What's your name" "....Sh...a...t"
Tara mumbles. "Well, Shat, I think you need to sit down for a moment
and clear your head, here come with me, sit!" "Oh...kay!"
Tara looks at Jerry and smiles, she leans over and is just about in his face;
their lips are just an inch apart. "Ceeeeee, hit's li...key
tis," Then Tara puts her head on Jerry's chest and Jerry pulls her
close.

Around the corner comes Tara's best friend Stacy. "Hey, wait a minute, what are
you doing with my friend, unhand her you rake!! Take you cotton picking hands
off my friend" "Hit's o..kay.. Say, hit man wans to ha rry
moi!! Don't cha man." Jerry is very amused with this beautiful
girl who has the most beautiful green eyes he has ever seen and the most
beautiful lips, so enticing, so kissable!! "Ga ah..wy, S.ta!
Hit mom, men is go---ing to smak lub to me! Arn't you?" Tara begins
to unbutton her silk blouse. Jerry grabs her hand to stop her, and in the
process he touches something that he shouldn't, but he only smiles. He
makes no apologizes. Jerry and Tara look into each other's eyes and Tara
says, "hiss me" She puts her lips to his, which really is his
eye and kisses him. Jerry is smiling and loving every minute of it!
"Not quite the right place, love, try here.” He tenderly puts his
lips to her's and stars start bursting, STORYTIME: PRIDE AND PREJUDICE REVISITED 2162201979 are going off and all Jerry
and Tara see are each other.

"Well," says Stacy, I guess I'm not needed here!" She leaves in a
hissy. Jerry looks at Tara and says,"No she's not!" and he
kisses her. Tara is not quite sober; she starts to cry. "Hey honey,
what's wrong," pleas Jerry. "I've never been kissed" cries
Tara. "Well honey I can promise you this won't be your
last!" Jerry pulls her to him and wraps his arms around her and
holds her close; kisses her with passion, eases back and pulls her head onto
his shoulder! No, Jerry is
thinking,
If I have anything to do about
it, this won't be your last!

Now Darsley, whose parents were both dead, did have an extremely wealthy Great Aunt
Catherine, who resided on a large estate in Palm Beach, Florida, among the
Upper-est Crust-i-est Echelon of American Society. Aunt Catherine also
had an estate in Miami, where Darsley’s cousin, Robert, who was also at the
Ball, was now residing while he attended culinary school and worked as a chef
at Gordan Ramsay’s Miami Heat Restaurant. Jeremy now approached Robert,
who was also a nephew, not the son, of Aunt Catherine, and inquired about the
Bonnet family.

Robert who was a jovial young man with a rather high opinion of himself, freely told what
he knew, “Well, old chap, let’s just say they’ve seen better days. Word
is out that they’re doing one of those reality TV shows for ABC. Sure
sign they must be pretty desparate. Ten daughters and all, you know!”
Jeremy was disappointed to learn of this recent event and unfortunately,
despite how lovely he felt Jane was as an individual, he found her family - and
particularly her mother, whose antics with the Martini glass he had watched and
sadly found amusing, but despicable, - a bit too objectional and not meeting
his standards.

Stacy's real name was Anastasia Elephantina Boatwright,
however after being teased as a child by being called alternatively Anas,
Elephant, and Shipshape (think about it),
she had put her foot down and insisted on being called Stacy. Now, with
an unfortunate nomenclature like that, some tendency toward retaliation could
be understood, but Stacy had just never outgrown her inner child of greediness,
selfishness, and jealousy, partially because she hadn't been blessed with the
nicest complexion or figure.

Louise and Stacy were very glad to meet Ron. His
somewhat sarcastic wit amused them. They flattered him over champagne and
began telling them about Louise's sisters. He became very interested when they came to
Jane and her interest in Darsley. Ron and Darsley were very competitive and
had battled it out before when both were interested in the same girl. They
developed a strong dislike for each other and did did not improve when the girl
dumped them both to run off with a snow boarder. Each blamed the other
for their failure to win the girl. Ron quickly filled the girls in about
Darsley's greatest flaw.

"Darsley," Ron sighed, "is a total
snob. If he decides Jane or her family has a tainted reputation at all,
his interest will end."

Well that got the snotty duo thinking. All they had to
do was spread some rumors about Jane and her little romance would end before it
started. Stacy assured Louise that she would come up with a plan while
Louise dragged Ron onto the dance floor. As they danced, she noticed
Ron's intent stare at her face.

"I hope I'm not breaking out in a rash," she said
in a worried voice, "That happens when I'm nervous."

"No rash," he assured her, "but you do have quite
a habit of blinking your eyes." He saw her embarassed flush and quickly
said, "It's okay. I don't mind it at all. It just reminds me
so much of the girl that got away."

Louise saw that his mind had flown far away from both her
and the party. She became quite miffed to know he was dreaming of another
while dancing with her.

Paul arrived at the party feeling very nervous. He
knew it was silly to feel that way. After all, no one else would know
that his luggage had gotten lost, leaving him with only his "Deanna"
underwear to change into for the gala event. He scanned the dance floor
and was pleased to see several old friends. He greeted Sean and
Graham. They were chatting with a group of soapfans who wanted to be
introduced to Crishell when she and Becky returned from the powder room.
Bob had been with them, but he was busy hiding from KellyJo since he still felt
bad about leading her on so much. Paul chatted with the group, but kept
his eyes busy checking out the other guests. He saw a sparkling red head
laughing as she danced with Donald Trump. He was pleased to see them part
when they left the dance floor. He quickly made his move.

"Hello! If you always have as much fun as you did
out on that dance floor, we should meet. I'm Paul."

"Hello Paul," the redhead replied, "I'm
SuzieQ Bonnet, one of the fabulous Bonnet sisters who are the guests of honor
tonight!" Her infectous smile delighted him, as did her turned up
nose which was very lightly sprinkled with freckles. He led her back to
the dance floor where they began to happily get to know each other. He
quickly discovered that she was a bit older than him, and assured her that he
was always attracted to women who were a bit more mature. She of course,
denied the mature part and they shared a laugh, so intent on each other that
Paul totally forgot about his underwear.

Donald, after his dance with Bonnie, ran into Andrew (Firestone, of course) and his new wife,
Ivana. “Ivana,” teased Trump,”I’ve heard that name before.” “Yes, I
know,” replied Andrew’s new wife, “I was named after her!” “Small world!”
stated Trump. “It most certainly is,” quipped Andrew, noticing a lot of
his ABC Bachelor/Bachelorette friends were also at the Ball, and glad to
see that his former flame “Jen” was not, since she had dropped off
the charts, so to speak, when she compeletely lost her “America’s Sweatheart”
status so long ago. Andrew said, “Donald, have you heard about my new
product, the Winotpop yet?”
