Yes I think JH would have been good with Jordan and agree with Bruno Mark and Lindsey. A lot of fun and creativity would be going on there Would have been fun to have the Mormon Lindsey S. with Bruno!!!
It has been my impression that that old stuff was all blown out of proportion and forgiven a long long time ago. JH has often suffered from foot-in-mouth disease and once she realizes how her words were interpreted, she gets very apologetic. Those apologies are accepted as genuine and life moves on.
I think Julianne was a perfect choice for Lindsey's QS. She needs a woman's perspective. She needs to correct her shoulders which still seem stooped forward as they would when she is playing the violin. It ruins her frame and Julianne would notice that. In addition, Julianne is a Mormon, too. She is part of that club.

Lesallee wrote:I am glad all of you enjoyed the skating video. Well, I guess Psychee didn't but you can't win 'em all. We have very extensive coverage of skating here in Canada with some fantastic skaters. Meagan Duhamel was a singles skater without any notable success until joining up wth Eric Radford. Then they struck gold.
Actually, I enjoyed it very much. Since I knew you would not have posted it if it involved falls and injuries, I was able to watch it without that impending fear that ordinarily blocks me from enjoying these things as they happen. That was a spectacular performance. It was much more like ice dancing than pairs dancing, don't you think? I didn't see any of those "let's throw the girl twirling into space and see how well she lands" moves that drive me crazy with my expectation of a crash landing. The big tricks were all lifts and close body moves.

Re: Dancing With the Stars - Season 25
I like to see a beautifully controlled and balanced dance or skating routine. When too many "tricks" are thrown in it just looks like a set-up and trick thing. The routine needs to flow and this is very hard to do if you are throwing your partner or getting ready to throw them each second.
That is the thing that bugs me about the routines on DWTS at times ... some are too many trick things in a row and you can hardly see what the dance is supposed to be.
It is fine to be innovative and creative but when you are announced to do a tango it should not come out looking like a contemporary .... jmho.

Re: Dancing With the Stars - Season 25
I just saw a post by Tom Bergeron on is Twitter. He said, ".....But there will be a mini-Spring season (4 Weeks). Not “DWTS Junior.” More info Tuesday".
So it looks like ABC is scrapping the DWTS Juniors version for the spring and are doing something else which will be only a 4 week season. We have to wait for the Tuesday results show to hear what this is all about.

I wonder who they will get to be on this show. I think they are having a harder time finding celebrities to be on this show. I also thought someone said that DWTS will only have one season per year.

I look forward to this show so much. I really hope that it stays on twice a year. Of course three times would be better..

Re: Dancing With the Stars - Season 25
As expected Drew and Emma departed last night. They left with a bang - Drew's best performances of the season. That freestyle was insanely fun. Emma is a DWTS treasure, intuitive, nurturing and creative.
Hey, bro, Frankie gave that on camera tribute and thank you to Witney that you were looking for. And it was truly sincere and from the heart. I was stunned at the producer interfering with Witney's choice of freestyle design. And I loved it when Frankie said to her, "I trust you" after she explained what she wanted them to do. Witney was right, it was a powerful and eye catching freestyle. I expect they will come in third but Frankie (and Drew) are examples of what I personally enjoy most on the show. Novices, no training or experience who work hard, trust their pros and steadily improve.
Lindsey and Mark turned in two great dances and are a close second to Jordan and Lindsay. For some reason I don't feel that Mark's whole heart and soul have been invested in this season.
Okay, Jordan and Lindsay. Mirror Ball almost certainly. Watching them last night, both injured but unbowed was a treat. I believe Jordan is the best male celeb dancer ever on the show. Hinch is still my absolute favourite as he had no training, no experience, never danced before. I saw that Oti Mbuse from Strictly says Lindsay Arnold is her favourite DWTS pro and in her opinion, the best. High praise from the talented Oti.

Re: Dancing With the Stars - Season 25
We saw some terrific dancing last night.
I would not even hazard a guess who will win the MBT, especially since the voting will continue tonight. Since the DWTS site has never really had the bandwidth to handle the demand on finals night, I expect it will be a real c@ck-up with everyone on the eastern and central time zones all voting in one 5-minute block, but I guess it keeps the viewers glued to their TV sets.
In any case, with there being more voting tonight, that means there is still time for couples to do a last-minute emotional appeal. And those appeals can have a huge effect on the outcome.
So, yeah... I think any one of the three could take the MBT home. And although I would not be sad if Frankie did not get it, I will be sad for Mark or Lindsay Arnold one way or the other, since I would really like both of them to get it.
I can't remember ever feeling like this before. It's strange.

Re: Dancing With the Stars - Season 25
I'm assuming votes from the West Coast will count too if they are submitted during the EST/CST broadcast? Here is a description of tonight's voting from popculture.com.
Will the voting begin at the beginning of the broadcast or will they spring it on the viewers?
It's too close to call!
Will the voting begin at the beginning of the broadcast or will they spring it on the viewers?
. . .On Tuesday night, judges will then score two more dances from the remaining competitors. Instead of the usual viewer-vote process, fans will vote online during a live-voting period during the episode. The voting window will only last five minutes during the show's initial broadcast in EST and CST time zones.
Each voter be able to cast ten votes total: five votes on ABC.com and five votes on the DWTS Facebook page.
Only viewers in the U.S. or Puerto Rico will be able to cast their votes on ABC's site, but Canadian viewers can vote via Facebook, in addition to those in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
These new judging totals and viewers votes will be combined together to decide to takes home season 25's Mirrorball trophy.
It's too close to call!

Re: Dancing With the Stars - Season 25
The voting is supposed to happen after all six dances have been danced. PureDWTS suggests that people on the west coast just keep monitoring the voting page until the voting is open and try to vote then. But I'll bet that DWTS itself will send out a Facebook announcement, too, don't you think? I don't do Facebook, so I wouldn't know.

Good dancing, good ending. I'm happy for Lindsay! Jordan was clearly the best dancer, too.
I couldn't help but notice that Lindsey Stirling's shoulders improved dramatically for the final, too.... I wanted that for her... I do feel a bit bad for Mark, though... I think he needed to win again after eight years....

Re: Dancing With the Stars - Season 25
Well done, Jordan and Lindsay. Jordan is now the youngest male to ever win DWTS and set a new record for most perfect scores in a single season. The Disney Kid curse is broken!
I have always believed the judges know the results in advance in spite of denials on their part. Last night reinforced my opinion. I suspect Frankie was threatening someone with viewer votes. Probably Lindsey and Mark. Hence Len's 9 for Frankie's fusion. Brought his score down where they wanted it. Personally I didn't think any of the fusion dances were great but the scoring was very suspicious.
So a truncated season with all athletes is up next. Not sure what I think of that. I guess it's a last minute thing necessitated by the abandonment of the kiddie season.

Re: Dancing With the Stars - Season 25
I was so nervous it could end like S23... I tortured myself by not checking the results until I just got home. This time it was all good, and Lindsay did what she announced in the beginning. 4-3-2-1- this girl is unstoppable. Congrats to Jordan and Lovely Lindsay. Mark this day on your calendars, folks. The best dancer has won, and that doesn't happen too often on this show.
Now I can relax and watch all the dances. See you later.

Re: Dancing With the Stars - Season 25
I believe that the winner is hired just like the rest of the cast. They all know who the winner is and so do the judges. All the voting is just the method to keep the audience watching.Just like all the "injuries" each season .... "drama" thought up by the producers.Even the judges play different parts on DWTS .... just watch Bruno on the other show,he is totally playing a different part than on the U.S. show.
I think they may do a few tweaks here and there if someone is truly a fan favourite like when Bill Engvall or Tommy Chong were so popular but TPTB were sure not going to let them win.
