Well, Hugh Grant thinks it is too cheesy in its present form for him to do the show without feeling degraded. He would wish for a more classy venue. What he means by that only he really knows.

It is really something how that works isn't it ....

I usually watch the dance without sound once too.It helps me concentrate on the movements and with the choices of music at times it really is helpful just to watch.

At this point the judges annoy me too much to want to listen to them and some of the music choices are a tad bizarre. Very Happy

I am wondering if Val and Maks won't be doing their own tour. I also had the impression that Val was a bit burned out this season. Maybe he just wants some down time.

I am not a sport fan so I have no guesses but I wonder who they will get for the "mini" 4 week season.

Any of you have any ideas or wants ? .... Heard any rumors ? Maybe Tiger Woods since he is/was so popular.

PS .... his was the only name I could think of off the top of my head.

All-athletes sounds like All-stars anyway, and four weeks is way too short to come up with a bunch of novices. So why not have athletes who competed earlier but haven't won yet? I'd love to see the return of Laila and Maks, Aly and Mark, Hinch and Sharna, Nancy and Artem.

The names I have been hearing most often are Dale Earnhardt Jr and Colin Kaepernick. I think Earnhardt is more likely than Kaepernick.

I am so bummed that there is not going to be a full season. I'm going away to warm weather for some of the winter & made plans to be back for the next season in March Sad

. Guess I can stay for a while longer now.

I'm not into the sports but I may watch it anyway. Does anyone know anything else about that season? How many people? Who are the pros?

So far it's all speculation. They normally don't reveal pros and cast that early, and no one really knows how many couples there will be, how eliminations will work, or how many finalists there will be. I would prefer a regular spring season anyway.

It just seems too short a season to have very many couples.I think if they have two eliminations each week they could have more couples but man that is a short time to have any real competition it would be week one everyone dance then step up your game for the semi-finals the next week.The third week would be free-styles and the fourth week the winner.

The longest training time is for dance number one and to be ready for the final in 3 weeks is a bit much.

That's right. They don't reveal the couples. It will be interesting to see how they handle this. I don't know how I'm going to warm up to anyone in a month.

I think they should have a "Spring Spectacular" show and bring back some competitors and have some exhibition dances.Just a fun celebration of dance and DWTS.

They could do that over four weeks and I bet the audience would love it .... well I would anyway ...

So ... apparently they will have ten in the cast for this short season.Colin Kaepernick and Dale Earnhart Jr are the top picks they want.Seems this Dale guy is not keen.Kobe Bryant is rumored but it seems he has been "rumored" a lot in the past.

So they will have to whittle 10 down to three pretty quick.
