Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
The Ellen Show posted the appearance of the team! They did great despite having to acquaint themselves with the Cha Cha again. I was hoping they could have had a sit down moment with Ellen though. Way too short.

Is it just me, or is James incorporating all the criticism from the judges even in that performance? Because I thought it looked even better this time. And Sharna in this tight black nothing.. oh my goodness.

I'm thinking if Sharna wasn't injured that would have been a TEN! Every time these two dance I am completely engrossed by the story and the pictures they draw,

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
Since I'll have to wait a bit to see their dance, how bad is Sharna's injury? Apparently she was able to do the team dance so I hope her injury is not too serious.

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
It's an injury to her knee, sue and she had a support bandage on. They said it impacted their dance a bit and as they started up the stairs to get their scores you could see her favouring it a bit. But Sharna, the consummate professional came out in the team dance and was wonderful.

I thought that dance was 10-worthy. As is!

I'm bummed that they were underscored again. Loved the team dance, especially

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
I enjoy when James gets to work on a character, so it was fun seeing him be the comedic army guy. I felt bad for Sharna because she probably held herself back a bit due to her injury, and I think James held himself back a little too in order to support Sharna. They were still so fun to watch though, and I hope they can do this dance again if they get a chance to repeat it. Take care of yourself this week Sharna because I want you and James to kill whatever dance you will be doing for Halloween.
I wasn't sure how the team dance was going to work because of the song choice, but it turned out so beautifully. They concentrated on working as a group with only brief moments to establish the couples. The Team Past costumes may be the most beautiful period costumes the designers have created to date. Plus Team Past won Season 23--woohoo!
Perhaps the funniest thing was hearing Helio tell James and Sharna on the phone, ". . .I didn't have the best partner (Julianne) when I won. . ."

Glad to see the website is up again.
Fingers crossed for Sharna being able to dance on Monday. According to the Glamour article Jenna is her potential backup if necessary.

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
Couldn't get on this board yesterday for whatever reason, but I've watched our Team meanwhile. Their Jitterbug was great fun, but not perfect- probably due to the injury. So the scores were fair, and the comments totally positive. I don't care for tens, at least as long as no one else scores higher. I'm more concerned about the knee. Why out of all seasons did it have to happen now? I hope Sharna takes care of herself and doesn't make it worse by trying to ignore it. Jenna would be perfect to help out in the worst case. People would probably vote for James anyway by now, even more so with respect for his injured partner- like they did for Paige and Alan when Mark had to rest his back.

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
No, it wasn't technically perfect because James was being very careful with Sharna and her injured knee in the lifts. But visually, artiscally and atmospherically it was perfection. It evoked that whole 40s vibe wonderfully.
Sharna's intuitive and creative choreography continues to blow me away. And that born to dance Hinch picks it up and performs it like a dream. Team StopAnd Go are way out in front of all the rest.
Did you see where Sharna thanked Hinch for looking out for her and leading her?

Of course I saw that. It's wonderful how they totally trust each other. Who would not instinctively protect this angel? I also loved to see how sympathetic Tom and Erin were after the dance.

Hoping that Sharna heals quickly.
Absolutely love this team; and to think I was worried that I wouldn't have that one team this season that made me go "All my votes are for you".

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
I agree! Although I've enjoyed previous seasons and have voted and rooted for my favorites, it doesn't always happen that I feel so strongly about wanting to see a team win. For me (and I suspect many others) it began with their Foxtrot. James and Sharna made a stunning team dressed in teal--and then the surprise of seeing a novice dancer move as well as James was doing. Sharna had instructed James to break into a smile at the point that he was facing the camera, which was very smart because it was a chance to show a bit of his personality and charm and get people interested. It worked for me! Getting to know James more through his chats with Sharna, learning his backstory, and seeing his amazing progress sealed the deal. I want them to go all the way.peebeeb wrote:Hoping that Sharna heals quickly.

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
So let's pray Sharna won't have to limp all the way. Because this really should be her turn. I have often talked about those once in a lifetime partnerships on DWTS. Joey and Kym, Brooke and Derek, Meryl and Maks, Tommy and Peta, to name a few. For Sharna, James is the one.

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
James and Sharna get Viennese Waltz for Halloween Week! Because their song was used in the recent Suicide Squad movie, I can definitely picture who they might dress as, and I hope I'm right because they would look great. I also hope this dance will be physically easier for Sharna. They had just done VW for the team dance, so now they can go further with it.
UH OH - George Pennacchio is saying that James plans to be clean shaven in order to (I believe) be the Joker on Monday night. Not so sure that is a good idea. James is one of those guys who I think looks better with the beard. Can't he just be Joker who just happens to have a beard? I'm thinking--DON'T DO IT JAMES!

Searched for a beardless James pic. This, from 2011, is about all I could find. He's a cutie, beard or not.
