America's Got Talent
Note: This was posted originally by singlyme and I moved it up to this forum so that is why it shows me as the poster.
Have any of you been watching the auditions? I'm enchanted by 12(?)-year-old Mara Justine. I also like Miguel Dakota.
I'll be watching this season - a first for me. I'm not entertained by most of the variety acts, so I'll rely heavily on taping and ffwd. Just gimme the singing and dancing. lol

Yes I have been watching it but I missed it last night because I was watching SYTYCD. I will have to watch it on-line today. They have some very talented people on the show this year.singlyme wrote:Have any of you been watching the auditions? I'm enchanted by 12(?)-year-old Mara Justine. I also like Miguel Dakota.

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT
RECAP FOR JULY 22, 2014
Hello and welcome to Judgment Week on America's Got Talent on NBC. We are at Radio City Music Hall to see who made it to the live shows this season. Some of them have already made it there….let's take a look.
This year, the judges and Nick Cannon visit them in person to let them know they are already made it straight through to Radio City.
Howie Mandel surprises Blue Journey with the good news. He tries to throw them off by saying they didn't make it to Judgment Week….but then tells them they already made it to the live shows.
Heidi Klum surprises David and Leeman, Mel B. surprises Hart Dance Team, Howie surprises Dom The Bomb's Triple Threat (although he takes FOREVER to get the news out!) and Howard Stern surprisesJonatan Riquelme.
Dan Naturman is surprised at his own show by Nick with the same good news.
Acte II also made the cut, as did Emil and Dariel.
As for everyone else--well, they have to impress the judges one last time before finding out their fate.
The magic acts are the first to perform.
Mike Super is up first. If you recall, he is the one with the imaginary friend named Desmond who appeared and broke a pitcher Heidi was holding.
This time, he has Howie stare at a piece of chalk in a box while thinking of a person he has an emotional connection with. Nick names a random number. Desmond writes some random numbers. He then says he was thinking of someone named Steve, which is written on the chalkboard Mike is holding. The numbers represent the judges' birthdays, which add to 23.
Psycho Jack tries to do a sawing act, but messes up. He is sent home.
Franklin Saint does an act where he shrinks a water bottle using mind control and closes an open, bent soda can and then reopens it to pour the soda the same way. THIS is an act I'd pay to see.
Mat Franco does another card trick. This time, he shows a shuffled deck a cards and then has Mel B. pick on as he shuffles them again. He then has HOWIE find the card. As he puts the cards on the table, it is a picture of Howie, holding the seven of hearts--which was Mel B.'s card.
We then get to the dance acts. Sean and Luke are up first. This time, they do a tap act to New York, New York that goes into a remix routine. I definitely see them on Macy's Stars Of Dance on Dancing With The Stars.
Solto the body popper does some twists and turns that are quite impressive.
The Agents do another Men In Black body popping routine that is so flawless and in sync.
John and Andrew do their salsa routine and it is another one I would love to see on DWTS. They also make it to Radio City.
The kid acts are up next. Quintavious Johnsonperforms a Michael Jackson hit and WOW. I have no words about how GOOD he is….holy guacamole.
Grace Ann Gregorio is adorable and her voice is just so mature for her age.
Mara Justine channels Whitney Houston and it is surprising to hear such a powerful voice come out of someone so tiny. She was very obviously nervous though and it made her voice shake a bit, but overall, she did well.
The judges have Nick bring Mara out to see them. Howard tells her that not everyone can make it through--but she is going to Radio City.
Julia Goodwin performs, and then we get to the comedians.
Darik Santos is funny, but he is very nervous.
Wendy Liebman is sweet and relatable.
Joe Matarese still reminds me of Tom Cotter 2.0.
Next up are the variety acts. Juan Carlo does a roller blading routine to Hey, Big Spender. It reminds me of Blades of Glory gone Broadway.
John Narum does a yo yo act, Loop Rawlins does a fire cowboy act (my favorite so far) and Mighty Atom Jr. pulls a car with his teeth. With the judges inside. At 93 years old. I am in awe of him.
JD Anderson destroys a bunch of things using his superhuman strength. He actually got a cut in the back of his head, which needs to be checked out.
We move on to to the female singers. Emily West kicks things of with a Roy Orbson hit. She is definitely going to be one to watch. She has the voice, the look and spirit to make it far.
Carly Jo Jackson sings Somebody That You Used To Know and is hoping this is her way to move on from singing in coffee shops. She is adorable and kind of reminds me of a Taylor Swift type.
Anna Clendening gets overwhelmed, but realizes she can use this as a platform to help others with her anxiety disorder. Howie encourages her to perform and gives her a beautiful speech about how proud everyone is of her. Despite the fact she was crying, she does a very good job. I am proud of her going out there and giving it a try! You go, girl!
As an aside, I love how the girls are encouraging her and giving her support. Actually, the way they all support each other is amazing.
Kelly Glover returns for her second chance to make it to the live rounds. She is PHENOMENAL! WOW!
Join us tomorrow night for the reveal of our top 48! Goodnight.

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT
RECAP FOR JULY 29, 2014
Hello, and welcome to America's Got Talent on NBC. Tonight is night one of the live shows at Radio City Music Hall where the first twelve acts will take the stage to perform for out votes. Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and Mel B. judge, Nick Cannon hosts.
Act: Sean and Luke
Talent: Tap dancers
Commentary: They of course have pretty female back up dancers. They are dressed in button down shirts, bow ties and black pants. They have some sort of boy band music that the kids like these days. I think they are super cute and fun to watch, but the backup dancers are a bit distracting. I also love the choreography, they really are going to make people become more interesting in tapping.
Heidi: A fun performance and great job!
Howard: It was nice, but not memorable. He wants more!
Mel B: What a great way to open the show!
Howie: Youthful, classic and energetic.
Act: Valo and Bobby
Talent: Danger/Balancing
Commentary: It reminds me of Cirque du Soleil meets BMX. Holy cow, it is amazing. I have no words for how unique and captivating this act is, I LOVE IT!
Howie: The danger factor is huge--and this is spectacular….especially since they survived.
Howard:They are a strong, beautiful couple and this was a fabulous act!
Heidi: They went big!
Mel B: It was awful because she bust a blood vessel holding her breath from being scared--but it was a good thing.
Act: Julia Goodwin
Talent: Singing
Commentary: First of all, what a classy, beautiful outfit! She does a more contemporary version of Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. She nails it! WOW. She makes it her own, but still respects the meaning behind the song--that is very hard to pull off and she did it perfectly.
Howard: She has a lot of poise for a girl her age, but he worries her voice might not hold up.
Heidi: We are getting a glimpse of what is to come.
Mel B: She looks stunning and her voice is delicate. She wants more!
Howie: She is a beautiful, young talented lady who deserves to work in the music business. She belongs on Broadway.
Act: Baila Conmingo
Talent: Dance
Commentary: It reminds me of a Dancing With The Stars pro or Macy's Stars of Dance routine. Fun, energetic and exciting. What I like the best is how much joy they have when they perform. So fun!
Heidi: They brought the house down and it was so much fun to watch.
Mel B: She gushes over how much she loves them.
Howie: What a night! He makes a joke about feeding them espresso, but loves it.
Howard: It is a big party on stage. He loves how the adults let the kiddos shine.
Act: David and Leeman
Talent: Magic
Commentary: They begin by taking a selfie with the judges and tweeting it. They hand out envelopes and books to the judges. The judges exchange books and rip out a random page, which is then torn into pieces. They mix up the pieces and put it on top of the book they are holding. Howard picks a number between 1-10. (7)
As they hand Howie the seventh piece, they accidentally hit Mel B's buzzer.
Howie reads the word camera ready from his page. They take back the envelope and say they can predict the future---they go to the screen on stage and reveal the selfie, which not only has the hashtag camera ready, but they are wearing name tags that read camera ready.
Mel B: How do they do it?
Howie: He swears they knew nothing about this…and loves it.
Howard: They are likable, but be careful about adding too much into it.
Heidi: She enjoyed it, but preferred last week's performance.
Act: The Willis Clan
Talent: Singing
Commentary: They are so cute! They are the Osmonds meet the Partridge family. They are all playing instruments and singing Power Of Love, which makes me think of Back To The Future. I cannot take the cute! I LOVE IT!
Howard: He likes them, but this wasn't their strongest performance.
Howie: He likes this song choice, but thinks they belong in Branson or the Grand Ole' Opry and it is real Americana.
Heidi: They are amazing and they did a great job.
Mel B: She loves what they stand for, but this stage overwhelmed them.
Act: Flight Crew Jump Rope
Talent: Jump Rope
Commentary: It reminds me of one of those light up runs they have mixed with an acrobatics routine. This is pure talent. I can't jump rope for anything and this just blows my mind!
Howard: Anything can go wrong with an act like this--but this was perfection.
Heidi: They were entertaining and great.
Mel B: It was off the chain.
Howie: They really stepped it up tonight.
Act: Jasmine Flowers
Talent: Dance
Commentary: WOW. This is so gorgeous to watch and so flawless. It reminds me of something I'd see at Epcot.
Heidi: It is beautiful.
Mel B: She gets lost in their performances. She is interested in how America will react to them.
Howie: They are great.
Howard: He respects what they do, but not sure about the reaction.
Act: Emily West
Talent: Singing
Commentary: Hello, Broadway, recording contract and music career explosion.
Mel B: She made the song her own and sounded incredible. WOWZER!
Howie: Best act of the night so far.
Howard: This is why he loves being a judge.
Heidi: She loved it!
Act: JD Anderson
Talent: Danger
Commentary: Holy crap! I have no words….how he can do this and still be alive is beyond me. The fire, breaking things….the drama…WOW. I am speechless.
Howard: He loves him, loves him, loves him and this is the kind of act he wants to see.
Mel B: She makes sure he is ok and says it was great.
Howie: He is amazed by the entire act.
Heidi: He is nutty, but she loves it.
Act: Dan Naturman
Talent: Comedian
Commentary: He jokes about making babies, Canada, health care, medicine commercials and doctors. it is funny and I want to hear more.
Mel B: She really liked it.
Heidi: She was back and forth in how she felt, but she thinks he is funny.
Howie: He is on his way to a brand new TV.
Howard: He is a pro who nailed it.
Act: Miguel Dakota
Talent: Singing
Commentary: What a way to end the evening. He has such a unique voice and the band in the background is a nice touch, he has rock star written all over him.
Heidi: Choosing Come Together by The Beatles was a smart choice.
Mel B: That was a hot performance and great song choice.
Howie: This was a million dollar performance.
Howard: He wants more and for him to find his identity. He does like him though!
Join us tomorrow for the AGT results. Goodnight!

Re: America's Got Talent
Emily West is great. And I think Miguel Dakota will win the little girls' hearts. What a smile on him!! He's a cutie.
Can't wait to hear what Mara Justine has in store for us. I'm already pegging her for the winner of the whole shebang.

Re: America's Got Talent
I was surprised that only 5 out of the 12 from last night are going to make it through. Emily West was great last night but Miguel Dakota got to me and therefore he got all my votes. He does have a wonderful smile and the most beautiful eyes. I am really having a tug a war with myself over what I'm going to watch tonight - SYTYCD or AGT. I know I will watch SYTYCD for the first hour because I think AGT is a repeat from last night but then the ones that made it through will be identified in the 2nd hour and that's where I will have trouble. I will probably stay with SYTYCD though because I have already voted for AGT and I want to vote for SYTYCD.

Re: America's Got Talent
I watched AGT last night and taped SYTYCD (haven't watched it yet). I'm glad both Emily and Miguel made it through. Can't wait to hear Mara sing tonight. That little girl is amazing.
I'm also glad to see the variety acts being eliminated. I can enjoy the comics but after a time or two, the aerial, strong men and the like get boring.

I do think they need the variety acts because this is supposed to be a talent show not just another singing show. I agree with the strong men acts to a certain point but I think some of the aerial acts are very good and entertaining. I like to see the different talents - doesn't mean I will vote for them but I think they all deserve a chance. JMO

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT
RECAP FOR JULY 30, 2014
Hello, and welcome to America's Got Talent on NBC. Tonight, five acts will move to the next round, getting one step closer to headlining their own show in Las Vegas.
We open with Nick Cannon in a plaid suit. He gives us a recap of last night's show and introduces us to the judges. Tonight is going to be a difficult night because all the acts were so good last night.
Vallo and Bobby, Jasmine Flowers and Emily West are all called to the stage. The first act going to the semi-finals is EMILY WEST!
Howard is thrilled and says she is memorable with her style and originality.
The other judges echo his sentiments.
We get a segment of Howie Mandel giving the other judges a Hollywood tour and then we get to a performance by Enrique Iglesias. LOVE it….love him and wish I were there live watching him. I was invited to see this show live and cover it for the site, but unfortunately a prior commitment prevented me from attending. I plan on covering live shows later on this season. Anyway, this performance is incredible and he just looks hotter than ever.
Dan Naturman, The Willis Clan and Sean and Luke are all called to the stage next. The act moving on to the next round is Dan Naturman! I am sad, I loved my Willis Clan!
Howie compares him to Woody Allen on his way to having a great career.
Julia Goodwin, JD Anderson and Miguel Dakotaare the next to find out their fate. The next act in the semi-finals is…..Miguel Dakota.
Heidi is happy and thinks he has a lot of potential and charisma.
Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie come out to talk about their Today Show contest to promote more talented acts. Cornell Bongrass is the winner. I hope we get to see them perform at some point.
David and Leeman, Baila Conmingo and Flight Crew Jump Rope find out their fates….the act moving on to the next round is…..David and Leeman!
The judges now have to decide which of the remaining acts (Baila and Flight Crew) will move on to the semi-finals.
Heidi chooses Baila Conmingo.

Mel B. chooses Flight Crew Jump Rope.
Howie chooses Baila Conmingo.
Howard chooses Baila Conmingo.
Join us next week for more America's Got Talent. Goodnight.

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT
RECAP FOR AUGUST 5, 2014
Hello, and welcome to America's Got Talent on NBC. Tonight, twelve more acts will perform for a chance to make it into the semi-finals. Only five acts will move on so everyone will have to bring their A-Game tonight. Heidi Klum, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Howard Stern will have their hands full for sure!
Host Nick Cannon introduces our judges and then we get down to business.
Contestant: Hart Dance Team
Talent: Dance
Commentary: I am enchanted by this act. It is gorgeous to look at, incredible choreography and it makes me want to grab my Visa card and buy tickets to see their show.
Mel B: That was just stunning to watch, entertaining and well done.
Howie: The props are what make this act spectacular to look at.
Howard: They did the same thing as they did the first time in terms of the concept.
Heidi: She did like it, but agrees with Howard. She wants more!
Contestant: Loop Rawlins
Act: Rope Tricks
Commentary: Can I just be shallow for a moment and say how hot he is? Literally and looks wise. This is such a different act and another one I would go see. It is a little bit circus, a little bit rock and roll and a little rodeo. It's amazing!
Howie: Whips, rope and fire….some people call it a dream act, he calls it s dream act.
Howard: He loves this, but wonders how America will act.
Heidi: She loves it as well.
Mel B: She enjoyed it, but wonders if he can carry his own show.
Contestant: John and Andrew
Talent: Dance
Commentary: That was fun, fast, exciting and just kept my attention from start to finish. They weren't kidding when they said America would be on their feet! I was up and dancing right along with them.
Howard: We forget they are two men dancing together because they were just that good.
Heidi: Technically and visually they are amazing. She loves them.
Mel: They lost her a bit because there was a bit of repetition.
Howie: They were amazing and very brave for doing this.
Contestant: Livvy, Matt and Sammy
Talent: Music
Commentary: They kind of remind me of an older version of The Wright Kids from season four. They are cute and almost relaxing to listen to.
Mel B: Something went missing tonight, but it was a nice performance. It was a bit safe.
Heidi: It was kind of lackluster.
Howard: They felt more like an opening act and too safe.
Howie: He believes Livvy is a superstar and they deserve to go through.
Contestant: Andrey
Talent: Balancing
Commentary: It amazes me that he can move like that. I am a Centergy instructor and can't even do half these moves…and if I tried, I'd be in a knot. I am mesmerized by him…WHOA. Gorgeous to watch and just amazing, especially knowing his story of how he is living his own American Dream.
Mel B: Seemless, gorgeous and she will see it any time.
Howie: Best act of the night, hands down.
Howard: It is like a John Sargent picture come to life and that is the highest compliment he can give. America must vote for him.
Heidi: He is fantastic and captivating.
Contestant: Juan Carlos
Talent: Roller blading
Commentary: Youtube Carson Kressley's Dancing With The Stars finale dance to Vogue, mix in Blades Of Glory and the Big Bang Theory disco skating scene and you got this routine.
Howie: He makes people smile and he is WIN not JUAN.
Howard: He took the place of several talented people during judgement week. It was boring.
Heidi: It was entertaining.
Mel B: He is just an entertainer.
Contestant: Mara Justine
Talent: Singing
Commentary: I did not expect her to take on Katy Perry, but I am so happy she did! She gave Unconditional such a unique spin and almost made it into a new song. LOVE IT!
Howard: He enjoyed it and hopes she goes through, but wants her to take it down and have a bit more fun.
Heidi: Her voice is so crazy good.
Mel B: She gained back her confidence tonight.Just be careful of the song choices.
Howie: She rose to the occasion tonight!
Contestant: Aerial Animation
Talent: Aerial
Commentary: I love the drawings in the background. It reminds me of the Take On Me music video with her popping in to perform. It is another act I would pay to go see. It is like nothing I have ever seen.
Heidi: She just loves the concept of the act. It is unique and different.
Mel B: It was really, really good and went from amazing to incredible.
Howie: It is so memorable he knew it picked up where the last act ended.
Howard: She did it and needs to go to the finals.
Contestant: Jaycob Curlee
Talent: Singing
Commentary: I cannot stop crying as he sings. Between his story, the song (Beneath Your Beautiful) and the emotion in the performance….WOW. I am a blubbering mess. I just want to give him a hug.
Heidi: He has a sweet voice, but it was underwhelming.
Howard: He wants more passion in his music.
Mel B: It was a bit flat--he is better than this.
Howie: He is beautiful.
Contestant: Mat Franco
Talent: Magic
Commentary: He will predict something about one of the judges using spray paint. He goes to the table and asks Howard if the cards are different. (yes) Heidi chooses one and shows it to the audience. He shows us what he painted, which is the two of diamonds…it is wrong. He puts it on fire and reveals the ten of spades, which is what she has. He says there is no room for mistakes and tells Howie to stand and reach into his left back pocket---where he finds the two of diamonds. Mind you, Howie was just sitting there watching the entire time.
Heidi: It was so good and it blew her mind.
Mel B: How do you do it? He makes magic hot.
Howie: WOW!
Howard: He makes magic cool.
Contestant: Darik Santos
Talent: Comedy
Commentary: He just seemed so nervous tonight. I just want to hug him.
Mel B: She didn't even laugh once.
Heidi: It just wasn't funny.
Howard: Too much emo, not enough Darik.
Howie: This is the funny guy he wants to see on TV.
Contestant: Acte II
Talent: Opera singing
Commentary: There is something about this show that makes me love opera music. Andrew DeLeon, Neal E. Boyd…and now Acte II. They were the only ones to take a Whitney Houston classic, turn it into opera and make it better than the original.
Heidi: They are spectacular and have to move forward.
Mel B: She had her doubts, but they filled the room with their voices and had everyone on the edge of their seats.
Howie: It was amazing.
Howard: It was a bit off tonight.

Re: America's Got Talent
I loved the balancing act by Andrey Moraru last night and gave him half my votes. I gave the other half of my votes to Jaycob Curlee because I liked him and the song he sang.
I did not like the song Mara sang last night at all for her. I'm sure she will make it through and if she does I hope she picks a better song for herself next time out.
I did not like the roller blade act at all and wondered why he was even there. I also did not care for the comedian act - it did not make me laugh at all.
I didn't care for the Dance team this time - I thought they were better the first time I saw them. I also didn't care for the Acte II performance.
John and Andrew can dance very well and did a good job. The magician was also very good and so was the aerial animation and the rope trick act. They just didn't wow me enough to vote for them and when you only have 10 votes you want to be wowed in order to vote for them.
I missed the trio singing and only saw the judges comments on them so I don't know if I would have liked them or not.

Re: America's Got Talent
My picks were Andrey and Arial Animation. My granddaughter was so fascinated with the latter, she made me play it back four times. Each time, we picked out yet more things in the animation that went unnoticed the time before.
She (9-yrs-old) thought Mara did a great job on the Katy Perry song. I wasn't familiar with it and didn't care for it. I don't hear much in the way of current music.
I think Howie likes the skating guy so much because he's completely ridiculous. His type of humor, I guess. I'm with Howard. Talented people fell to make a place for this idiot.
I'm afraid I can't warm up to the guy dance team. I suppose I'm too old-fashioned to watch a guy do the girl's part and immerse myself in it. The gay one reminds me of Freddy Mercury somehow (from Queen.) The teeth?
Results tonight, right? I hope my three faves get through.

Re: America's Got Talent
Singly, I hope Andrey gets through also, he is so strong but so graceful at the same time and doesn't have that over muscled meat head look about him. I don't have much hope for Jaycob getting through but I do think your Mara will make and also the Aerial Animation will make it through. I was not familiar with the song that Mara sung either and really did not care for it or maybe I just didn't care for it for her, I have no idea who the other two will be but I just hope it is not the roller blade guy.

Re: America's Got Talent
I am so happy that Andrey made it through and equally happy that Jaycob also made it through. I was not surprised that Mat Franco, the magician, and Aerial Automation made it through but I was surprised that Mara was up against Acte II for the final fifth place position. Mara did make it through on Judges Votes but IMO she will have to do much better in song selection and delivery the next time she is up. They have some very good talent this year.

Re: America's Got Talent
My picks made it. I was scared to death for Mara when she was up against the opera singers. God bless her, she was so emotional.
Jaycob seems sweet but for me, isn't a strong enough singer. His voice is pleasant but that's as far as it goes for me. I wish him well for you.
I think Andrey will go far. He causes one to watch in awe as he performs - and that cloud movement behind him added even more beauty and fascination to what he was doing.
Equally fascinating was Arial Animation.
I'm really rooting for Mara. Her voice is fantastic and she moves me emotionally with her personality. But...I also love Emily West from the other week. This could end with a toss up for my support.

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT
RECAP FOR AUGUST 13, 2014
Hello, and welcome to America's Got Talent The Results Show on NBC. Tonight, five acts will move on to the semi-finals. After an incredible night of performances, it is anyone's guess as to who will stay and who will say goodbye to their dream of winning the show.
We will also see Taylor Williamson and Kenichi perform.
After a recap of last night's performances, we get down to business.
Cornell Bhangra and Sons of Serendip are called to the stage first. I am so upset because these were two of my favorites from last night. HOW can they be put up against each other?
Sons of Serendip are onto the next round. Mel B. is happy for them and says they did a great job.
Blue Journey, Kieran and Finian Makepeace and Dragon House The Agents are the next to find out their fate. America has voted. The next act in the semi-finals is…..Blue Journey. Heidi is thrilled.
After an Ask The Judges segment, Paul Ieti and Anna Celndeing are called to the stage. Paul makes it to the next round and gets a big hug from Anna. His emotion makes me want to cry, I am so happy for him. Howie says he is a hero, as is Anna.
After a hilarious segment with Taylor Williamson and Heidi Klum's romance, we get to Kenichi's performance. It is every bit as good as I remember. He is also coming out with an app to allow people to do the same thing.
Back to our results. Christian Stoinev and Wendy Leibman are called to the stage next. The act in the semi finals is……Christian Stoinev. This is Howard's favorite act of the night. He is thrilled, but says he'll miss Wendy.
Acro Army, Adrian Romoff and Mike Super are called to the stage next. Adrian is going home, but Nick tells him he is going to do something big. What a classy man! Nick, I love you even more now!!! I love how he got the crowd to cheer for him.
Now it time for the judges to choose the last act for the semi-finals.
Heidi chooses Acro Army.
Howie chooses....I miss it?
Mel chooses Acro Army.
Howard chooses Acro Army.
Five more acts are in the semi finals. Join us next week for more America's Got Talent. Goodnight.

Re: America's Got Talent
The only act I was truly impressed with was Blue Journey's creativity. I did like Serendip & Paul, but I don't see them as million-dollar acts - anymore than Blue Journey. For me, this was a slow week.
It seems, however, that next week will be jam-packed with many of those I really liked. I don't know how they can choose only five - unless it's my five favorites - lol.

Re: America's Got Talent
I only voted for one this week and that was Jonah Smith and he did make it through. I guess I'm not sure why they don't use the viewer's votes for the final pick instead of having the judges pick from the ones that were in the next two places.

I had my top three: Jonah, Kelli and the Cellists. I was happy to see all of them go through.

Re: America's Got Talent
I liked the Cellist also but I liked Jonah better and since you are only allowed 10 votes total I decided to give them all to the one I liked the best. I had liked Kelli before but thought she was really pitchy Tuesday night, it just wasn't her best performance IMO but hopefully she will get it back together for her next round.

RECAP FOR AUGUST 26, 2014
Hello, and welcome to America's Got Talent on NBC. It is the first night of the semi-finals, which means that everyone is going to have to bring their A-Game if they want to make it to the final round. Heidi Klum, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Howard Stern are going to ace a rough night when it comes to judging this talent.
Host Nick Cannon says the judges each brought back a wild card act.
Heidi chose Flight Crew Jump Rope for her wild card act.
Contestant: Flight Crew Jump Rope
Talent: Jump Rope
Commentary: Why, oh, why were they sent home? They are fantastic! All the energy just makes me want to get up and move--or better yet, learn how to jump rope.
Heidi: They made her proud and thinks that America will keep them.
Mel B: This is the way to kick off the show.
Howie: It was fantastic, but the same thing he always sees with some mistakes.
Howard: There is always a sameness, but he is still a fan and he loves them.
Contestant: Mara Justine
Talent: Singing
Commentary: She really takes Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway to a whole new level. WOW. I have no clue what to say.
Howie: He gushes over how much he loves it….and her. The show needs her.
Howard: She did it perfectly this time.
Mel B: She also loves it.
Heidi: she thinks she is going to the finals.
Mel B. brings back Bad Boys of Ballet for her wild card act.
Contestant: Bad Boys Of Ballet
Talent: Dance
Commentary: I was already a fan---but where was this act last time? They could win with acts like this.
Mel B: She loves them!
Howard: They are terrific dancers, but need a gimmick.
Heidi: It is a unique concept and they are great dancers.
Howie: No matter what, they are going to get picked up for something.
Contestant: Paul Ieti
Talent: Singing
Commentary: Backstreet Boys! I Want It That Way! Talk about a throwback. I actually like Paul's version better and it better be on his future album. LOVE THIS!!
Heidi: It was not his best performance.
Mel B: It was a little bit off and he seemed to doubt himself.
Howie: Mara did better.
Howard: He is a hero and his service was appreciated, but it was a tough night for him.
Howie's wild card act is Mike Super
Contestant: Mike Super
Talent: Magic
Commentary: Desmond is contained and so is Mike, much to Mel B's relief. There are cards on the judges' table. Howard collects them and they are put in a bag. He chooses one and shows it to the audience. He appears on the stage and makes the triangle from the card not only appear on his hand, but the hands of the audience. WOW.
Howie: He is worthy of a show in Vegas.
Mel B: She is glad he is back. It was dazzling.
Howard: He did a great job.
Heidi: It was very unique and out of the box.
Contestant: Andrey Moraeu
Talent: Hand Balancing
Commentary: How he can move his body like this is beyond me. I cannot stop watching because it is just so mesmerizing.
Howie: He loves him and thinks he is talented in the contortion, balancing and everything else he does!
Howard: He is compelling and entertaining every time.
Heidi: She loves him and hopes he is in the finals.
Mel B: There were a few hiccups, but he still captivated everyone.
Contestant: Miguel Dakota
Talent: Singing
Commentary: He is going to win over the ladies, that is for sure! He just has something special about him that just pulls me in.
Howard: He thinks people were snoozing during his performance.
Heidi: He is America's new heartthrob.
Howie: He has a chance of winning the million dollars.
Mel B: He has that extra special something.
Contestant: Sons of Serendip
Talent: Music
Commentary: They are my pick to win it all. There is nothing else to say.
Heidi: They were great.
Mel B: A beautiful, solid performance.
Howie: They have the talent, but he worries about the votes.
Howard: They can sing, but doesn't like the band name.
Contestant: David and Leeman
Talent: Magic
Commentary: They hit the buzzers and after that, they go so fast, I miss a lot, but it seems like they pick a bag to smash. It goes by very fast, but the purpose is to find the bag with the spike in it.
Mel B: She loved every minute.
Howie: He likes it.
Howard: He loves them.
Heidi: She liked it a lot.
Contestant: Dan Naturman
Talent: Comedy
Commentary: He talks about family, dating and languages. Somehow, he makes it work, although it is really not my type of humor. I have to say though, he is adorable and seems like a guy I'd like to have a beer with.
Heidi: He managed to offend everyone.
Mel B: She believes in him and hopes America votes.
Howie: America should go Naturman.
Howard: He is able to put them at ease.
Contestant: Aerial Animation
Talent: Dance/Acrobatics
Commentary: There is just something so positive about this act. I always feel like I am in a better mood when watching them. They are just so mesmerizing and beautiful.
Mel B: It was a bit slow and disjointed.
Heidi: It was a step back.
Howard: It was a smart, fantastic act.
Howie: Not his favorite, but it is amazing what they can do with a hammock and crayons.
Contestant; Emily West
Talent: Singing
Commentary: What a way to end the night! WOW. This girl is going places!
Heidi: She loves her and has a lady crush on her.
Mel B: She keeps on giving and can listen to her all day long.
Howie: She is seasoned and iconic.
Howard: She is stupendous.
Join us tomorrow for the results show! Goodnight.
