Engaged twice?? Maybe Arie is the one who needs to be concerned.  Her last wedding was scheduled only two months before she went on the show. In order to keep a ring the couple has to be together for two years and we all know that isn't going to happen, so bye bye ring!

Yes the ring goes back. In the end she was probably the lucky one not having to deal with him.

I know things are done different on this show, but in some states since Arie was responsible for breaking the engagement, he wouldn't be entitled to get the ring back.  That's why I thought Becca would get to keep it, but maybe because she's on this show that doesn't apply.

Interesting topic to bring up.  It doesn't apply because of a contract, which contract says that they have to give the ring back to production/ABC if they break up before the two-year mark.

Remember the $5k bet Jef Holme made that Arie wouldn't last a year with his f1?  Technically he is right.  Becca was his f1 during the regular filming and they broke up.

Was Jimmy Kimmel technically right when he "predicted" Arie would pick Becca?  LOL he jokingly insists he is right.  I say Jimmy Kimmel is right but I like Jimmy.  He cracks me up.  "I know you were a race car driver, but slow the hell down already [in proposing]" lol

Yep. Just as I thought. Lauren is not as demiurge, prim, and proper as what she lets on. She may be on the quiet side but there is more to her then what she wants people to know. So she did some risqué modeling and would like getting back into it again. Chances are that is why she went on the show. That is the case with most of the contestants that model. So there is also questions as to the timeline of her recent breakup with her ex fiancé and when she signed up for the show. Hmmmm...

I subscribe to People magazine, and my copy came today with the front page “The Bachelor Betrayal” same wording as when Jason and Molly did the same thing years ago. Some of their responses during this interview were kind of interesting and made you go, hmmmmmm. Arie kind of sounded like he was contradicting himself. He was saying that he did love Becca at the time but the whole time he was thinking logically about their relationship and that it was a battle between his head and his heart. That basically his head was telling him that Becca was the better fit but his heart told him Lauren. He went on to say that his relationship with Becca was great but his heart wasn’t with her. That doesn’t make it sound like he really loved Becca at all like he claimed. So he claimed he loved her but is saying here that he really didn’t. So the question remains, why did he propose to her? I don’t buy the whole story he’s giving about him not wanting to let people down which is why he proposed to Becca. That he needed more time to make the decision. Dude! Then don’t propose to anyone! It wouldn’t be the first time that happened! And people wonder why some of us think this whole outcome was coerced. I’m more convinced of that after he did this interview because what he is saying just doesn’t make sense. He went on to say that during that last week when it showed Lauren was having doubts he was terrified that if he chose her she would leave him, but he knew Becca would never leave his side. WOW! So Becca would be the loyal one and this is how he treated the one that would stay by his side?

Lauren was asked if she feels a need to reach out to Becca? Her response was, “It’s not like Becca was dating him and I swooped in.” Ummmmm, yeah, it kinda was! And more than dating...they were engaged for goodness sake! Arie was saying that during that first conversation that Lauren was standoffish at first, but then the conversation shifted, and she really fought for them. Okay, so that must have been one hell of a conversation that it went from tentative to let’s brake Becca’s heart so we can be together...all in one conversation! That’s why I have said that Lauren is no innocent in this whole thing. My point is that if you are going to go after someone else when you are in a relationship that you damn well need to break it off with the other person first! The fact that Arie didn’t do that says that he was prepared to stay with Becca if things went south with Lauren. The more he opens his mouth,the more I disrespect this dude.

I think what Arie says makes sense.  It was head and heart.  I think you're overanalyzing it.  If you were in Lauren's position, would you want to talk to Becca and why would you feel you owe her an explanation?  Lauren didn't do anything to Becca.  It was Arie's decision.

Glitters, the point is that if it was head and heart then he sure as hell shouldn’t have proposed. No one can twist his arm to do that even if If was suggested. That was his decision to do that and it was WRONG! Also, the fact that apparently Lauren gave him encouragement while he was still with Becca made her also wrong. She should have told him before the conversation even started that if he was still with Becca then he needs to take care of that before she even discussed any of that with him. Becca was treated very wrong and she didn’t deserve that. People that think that the end justifies the means need to put themselves in her shoes and I guarantee you that they would think differently. So no, I am not OVER ANALYZING anything.

What I mean is we don't know every little thing that happened and was said.  We can only guess.  It would have been worse if he stayed with someone he knew he shouldn't have been with.  As much as Lauren isn't my favorite person, how can we say she enticed him?  Arie wanted her more.  She wanted him, but I don't know that I blame her for what happened.  Jason and Molly worked out, so maybe it's best for Arie and Lauren.  Unfortunately, Becca was a casualty.

I don’t think anyone is even suggesting that he should have stayed with Becca if he didn’t really love her. Once again, the point is that he should have broken it off with Becca BEFORE he ever even opened up that door with Lauren again. And since I’m on the subject of the breakup, Arie could have very easily broke up with Becca privately. Then he could have went to CH after the fact and told him they broke up and he wanted back together with Lauren. That would have saved Becca the public humiliation. So not only does he break her heart but he humiliates her which makes him a real asshole. And we may not know exactly what was said in his and Lauren’s conversation, however, as I already said Arie addressed that conversation in this interview and that’s when he said that during that first conversation that Lauren was standoffish at first, but then the conversation shifted and then she really fought for them. It doesn’t take a big stretch to get the gist of how that conversation went from what he said. It’s just like CH said, Arie didn’t make that call to close a chapter but to open a new one. So he was wrong and Lauren was wrong for not telling him to break it off BEFORE that particular conversation took place. People can white wash it all they want. Arie and Lauren can justify their actions all they want. Like I said, the end doesn’t justify the means. Do it the right way and your conscience is clear and this is exactly why Arie was quoted as saying he feels guilt and shame for how he treated Becca. Even he knows it was wrong but yet you still have people making excuses for it.
