Yes, they absolutely agree to be filmed when signing their contract but that doesn’t mean she knew that was coming. This franchise thrives on the drama and I’m sure they jumped at the chance to do something that hasn’t been done on the show before. That’s why CH kept saying over and over again about it being filmed in real time and all that crap. They were excited about it even though someone got their heart broken. That is also why I believe Arie hung around so long even though nothing was being said, and also why he left the first time and came back to more silence. I’m sure Arie was forced into having that breakup filmed like that but he isn’t allowed to say that. He has a contract too. Im sure when Arie told the producers that he wanted to break up with Becca and try to get Lauren back that he was told it was going to be filmed and he didn’t have a choice. That is why CH is even getting threats for that breakup being filmed. People knew that they were exploiting it for their benefit regardless of who gets hurt. That’s disgusting. I also believe that before they did last nights ATFR that Becca and Arie were coached of what to say in response to all the flak the show is catching right now for it. Oh course Arie is gonna say he did it so Becca would be picked as the next ette. That’s BS. Becca was already interviewed and talked about how upset she was that it was filmed, but she went on air last night and her tune changed. I’m sure she was also made to make nice with Arie and “forgive” him since she was being named as the next ette.

Now, that scene when Arie showed up at Lauren’s home seemed put on. You mean to tell me that no one in Lauren’s family saw that camera crew hanging around? The neighbors apparently did because it was reported that Arie and a camera crew were spotted there. Lauren just happened to be the one that answered the door at her parents home? Arie acted so nervous before going in saying he was having a panic attack like Lauren didn’t know he was showing up but yet as soon as she opened the door she jumped right into his arms! Hmmm...that’s an awful warm greeting for someone that got dumped by this dude and supposedly didn’t know what was up. Even their conversation sounded off, but then again their conversations always sounded off and very boring.
Ways been off and boring.

But you must have heard that Arie contacted Lauren and I think she knew this was going to happen.  Lauren knew that Arie said he had made a mistake and wanted to get back together with her.  Maybe she didn't know that the camera crew was going to be there.  I don't know, but she probably knew she would get back together with Arie.

Boo hoo---poor Arie. Somebody should have pulled the knife out of his back! Plenty of bachelors didn't propose at the end. It was his choice. And now he is saying he humiliated Becca so that she could be the bachelorette. Oh Pleeeze! 

Make me the third person besides Lesallee and Mule to say they like Lauren.
There's a certain sadness about her.  Maybe she had a strict military
family upbringing that made her quiet and reserved.  Didn't she tell Arie
that she felt like a go-between with her parents?
I hope Arie is sincere and she finds happiness with him.

I knew Becca was definitely blindsided when she said "are you fucking kidding me" when Arie came to break up with her since she was led to believe that his feelings for Lauren were going to be resolved with a final phone call when all along he knew he wanted to get back with Lauren.

It still pisses me off that Arie had the nerve to propose and to say "I choose you today and I choose you every day from here on out" ...knowing he was feeling conflicted !  Shame on him for being a liar.

I'm very happy for Becca to be the next Bachelorette.  She went on the show to find love and even tho it ended on a sour note with Arie she deserves better and deserves a chance to find someone who loves her whole heartedly

Becca was introduced to a few nice men for her upcoming season - they were all so cute.

I don't dislike nor adore Lauren.  you could say I'm the fourth person to like her.  She seems much nicer than a lot of the other contestants on social media and just in general.  

Oh, and some people are tweeting at the wrong Lauren from a different season.  lol kind of funny.

Yes Lesallee.  Bigger group than you originally thought, though?  I feel like I see a little more to her in recent interviews but not a lot more.  

I think we don't find out what their character really is until they are the bachelor or bachelorette lol.  And yes it's true what you said about real life.

We are a small group aren't we skt8word? Lauren seems like a quiet, rather reserved person but how do we know what she's like in real life? 

I'm obviously just judging her from TV and find her extremely annoying the more I watch her.  It's not her just being quiet or reserved, she just barely has a personality and seems unsure when she is about to say anything.  She is extremely tentative.  I'd like to slap her just to get some emotion out of her.  Ugh!

What's wrong with being quiet and reserved?  I think those are much better qualities than being aggressive and loud.  

The thing that bothered me more about Lauren were the sour looks she had.  It seemed like she was very disapproving yet she stayed.  Maybe it was more insecurity of not fitting in, I don't know.

It wasn't that she was quiet and reserved.  It was other things including what you said.  Her face, yes.  She looks like she is about to fall asleep.  She just bothers me.

Engaged twice?? Maybe Arie is the one who needs to be concerned.  Her last wedding was scheduled only two months before she went on the show. She is either a runaway bride or she collects engagement rings for a hobby.   Maybe they are both commitment shy.  I don't agree with the article that the photos or the quote from Oscar Wilde in her yearbook are "risque"....that's a real stretch.  Thanks for the tea!

Anybody know about engagement #1?  How old she was?  Why the engagement was canceled?  I couldn't find anything on it.

Her last wedding was scheduled in July, I believe, but reportedly the engagement was canceled in December 2016.

It was way too early to become engaged. But then if the show paid for a 3 carat engagement ring, it might be worth a try. Lauren is apparently distracted by diamonds. The show got its happy ending.

Did the show pay for Lauren's ring?  I was wondering about that because they didn't show the Neil Lane box and I didn't even see the ring.  I thought maybe Arie had to get it himself.

Funny how they made a big deal out of Bekah's age, but said nothing about Lauren being so much younger than Arie.  The show lists her age as 25.

I heard the show did pay for Lauren's ring.  And that Lauren is actually 26 but somehow her age is listed as 25.
