Well I'm not sure what to make of this show yet - I will say it was different. They only showed one of the three bachelors tonight and the nine ladies he picked out of the twelve presented to him. His picks were blind picks based on voice and content of what the gals said. I will need to give this a little more time to see if it will be good or not worth watching. Scratch

I found I wasn't interested enough to get through the first episode. Just me.

I only watched the first hour; the rest is recorded and I'll watch it later.
S&T posted her impressions elsewhere, as did I. Just like to add I'd not like a relationship or marriage where DH is gone on tour most of the time.

I've got a feeling this show will not have a second season, as NBC's other dating shows have tanked in the past. To be determined.............

Seems like some of these copycat shows self destruct. Big Brother is still going strong but when the copycat "The Glass House" was introdueced, it was awful. Forgot if that was NBC that aired it. BB is on CBS.
But then you look at American Idol and so many people now branched out to watch
The Voice", which I do not watch, nor do I watch AI anymore. I do, however, watch The X Factor. I guess I like Simon Cowell ( the same way I like Maks--not for me but so obnoxius that it's funny).

I thought Glass House was an ABC production and I did not like it. I did like NBC's dating show "Love In The Wild" and wish they would have stuck with it and they did have success with couples getting together in the three seasons it was on. I'm not really sure where this new show is going but I'm not sure that I'm going to like it and watch it for much longer. I will probably watch to see the other bachelors make their debut but that might be it for me. I did not like the way the 'matchmakers' critiqued the gals and then chose the three that were put up for elimination. I also was not impressed with the group date on this first show. I'm surprised some of the gals didn't just want to leave then and there.

Hi SLA. Yes, you are right--I just checked and it was ABC. I wasn't sure which one but it odesn't matter. Never saw Love in the Wild. Betweem tv, the computer, cleaning, cooking, etc. there's not much time for getting out
I have watched other shows which I mentioned somewhere on these threads. Saw Joe Millionnaire, Marry My Dad, The Average Joe, More to Love (Bachelor type show with heavier people--good show actually).
I have not yet seen Ready for Love as I was busy with my recap last night. It's on DVR but it doesn't sound too good from what you say. I will watch anyway to get the gist of it and decide later how much of the show I will follow. I'll let you know. xo

I just watched it on On Demand and the jury is still out in my opinion. I think they thought by the celebrities that are backing it and hosting it that it would automatically be a hit. I think their idea that it would be more legit by using matchmakers to pick the contestants instead of the show's executives is still just as easy to fail with the outcome. Matchmakers don't have a crystal ball so there is really no way to know that what they are being told by these contestants is even true. They are only going by what they basicly see and whether they believe their story to be true as to if they think they will click with the lead. Frankly I'm having a hard time believing that Tim the rock star needs something like this to find a woman.

Tim might not need something like this to find a woman, but you can bet it will help his band -- or so he hopes.

The other two guys are no slouches either and I think by the time the program ends on Monday we'll be able to say the same thing about them -- that is, if anyone watches. Doesn't sound like it got off to a good start.

Thanks for the link - interesting that he's in contact with Brad Womack. It was an interesting little video and it sounds like he pretty much was aware of what he was getting into and seemed familiar with at least one of the matchmakers prior to going on the show.

Thanks for the update newto. Here is a nice pic of the ring. The Neil Lane rings are just too big and gaudy for my taste. Jenna's stone is big but at least her ring is different and has personality.

That is awesome! It so good to hear the stories that these couples really did mean it when the show ended! That is so rare. I hope someone posts pics of the wedding that we can see
