DWTS Fourth Week
How fast time flies and we are counting down once again. By now we all can see who the frontrunners are , and know who is trailing at the bottom; it's those pesky middle ones who can give you a run for your money depending on the voters (and IF the voting is legit). Sean is in the middle somewhere.
SLA posted the dances in a separate thread and I'll see if I can do a copy and paste for this thread. Then it will all be tidily in one spot.
Sorry you haven't seen me much the last few days but I've been me a little out of sorts (still am).
Countdown for me is one hour and 49 minutes. See you later.

Here are the dances the different couples will be doing Monday night:
The theme is "Best Year of Your Life." The Dances are:
Aly & Mark -- Contemporary
Jacoby & Karina -- Foxtrot
Andy & Sharna -- Viennese Waltz
Lisa & Gleb -- Cha-Cha
Victor & Lindsay -- Paso Doble
Zendaya & Val -- Samba
Sean & Peta -- Viennese Waltz
DL & Cheryl -- Foxtrot
Ingo & Kym -- Viennese Waltz
Kellie & Derek -- Rhumba
Medfruitfly had posted these for me on the DWTS board and I copied them over for everyone, I don't know if this is the order they are dancing or not but he said he got the info from WP.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

We have to admit Sean will never be compared to Gene Kelly.

Re: DWTS Fourth Week
Hey, just jumping in quickly. I am behind since I take notes. Just saw kelly dance and was looking forward to it all night.Hw incredible was her story and to have her husband playing the music for her dance is so special. BUT--- Though she is so very good and has beautiful lines, I feel like something is missing. She is dancing the steps correctly but they seem to be cut short like little bursts. The rhumba is supposed to be very sensual and flow and involve latin motion with rhumba walks. She didn't do that. Let me go see what the judges say. I give her 8.5 (torn between 8 and 9).gin1972 wrote:Kelly is so good.

Re: DWTS Fourth Week
Kellie's dance brought tears to my eyes with husband singing the song he wrote for her! How romantic was that! It was so cute the way she ran up to her husband when her dance was over, it was like Derek wasn't even there. Then I didn't think she was going to be able to quit kissing him or leave him. What a great couple. I really want her to win! I missed the first two dances so I will have to watch them at 8:00 pm PDT. I take it Sean did not shine out on the floor.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

SPOILER scores for SEAN
SLA It's not that Sean didn't shine; he was consistent for Sean. He looked like a boy student progressing in his dance lessons. I gave him a 7 to a 7.5. He got 677. More in my recap:)

SLA, Sean danced first and by comparison, he should have gotten a little higher score. He ended up with his score, basically because there were some lifts and Carrie announced after they danced that the "Lift Police" was back! Ha! Tonight was special because the dances were attached to personal stories - in general, it was a nice evening.

Re: DWTS Fourth Week
Don't understand Carrie and her LIFT POLICE policy. The other judges don't deduct a point. Furthermore, I don't even see the lifts most of the time and I rewatch. She said Gleb did a lift, too. THEN, she proceeded to NOT deduct a point for their lift (unless she planned to give them a 7 which is unlikely). The only lift I saw was when he carried her down the steps and that was really just the beginning and not even the dancing part.

Well I just saw Sean dance and I don't see how DL scored higher than Sean! I didn't even think he did as well as Sean. After all the garbage that went on with Len's criticism last week it looked to me me like it was just to sooth things over with DL. What a crock! Re: DWTS Fourth Week
There were lifts in Sean's dance during a couple of spins (I saw them and thought - Uh Oh!), but again how can you penalize him when you let another team get away with it?

What are lifts? I take it it is not when he picks up Peta, but when he picks up his feet when he's not supposed to?

Grace, in this case, Carrie Ann is talking about both of Peta's feet leaving the floor at the same time. Sean was swinging her around at one point and that happened. Lifts are allowed in certain dances and not allowed in others.

Oh ok.. thanks! If Lisa goes home this week, I wonder if Sean could be in trouble next week?

DL must have a pretty big fan base or maybe Cheryl does, because it seems like he already should have gone home, but I agree that DL, Andy and Lisa should go home before Sean.

Re: DWTS Fourth Week
Well, who do you think will go home this week? I'm thinking it will be Lisa. In a way that's too bad, given that she was ill, but I'm not sure she would have danced a whole lot better even if she'd had more time to rehearse.
If not Lisa, I'd guess DL gets the ax.

Re: DWTS Fourth Week
WW I think it will probably be Lisa also and she may not be too sad if it is her. This seems to be taking a toll on her health so it will probably be best if she goes home. Victor didn't have a very good dance tonight either so I think he will find himself in the bottom three also. I really don't know how DL got the score he did because I did not see where he danced that well. I thought Sean did so much better than DL even with the god forbidden lifts that there was no way DL should have had a higher score than Sean but that's JMO!

Re: DWTS Fourth Week
Well, I must say I was underwhelmed by last night's performances. Two of my usual top three failed me.
I thought the music played a part in Derek's inability to produce a fluid and sensual rhumba for Kellie. The moves were too fast and sharp. I felt let down by my fav.
Jacoby stayed hunched over and for most of his dance, he looked like a gorilla.
The only one I gave high marks was Zendaya, who knocked it out of the park.
I thought Aly's contemporary piece was going beautifully. I was enjoying the performance - until they threw in that tumbling run. Why? Oh, Why? It completely ruined what I thought might be my top pick of the night. From 10 to 8, in my book.
The others were a bit of a "meh." Though I do think DL (yuck) improved greatly this week. That includes Sean, though I was glad to see Peta didn't stick him with any gimmicks.
My most surprising reaction was to Andy Dick. I know. I know. A$$hole to the nine paddle in the past. But when someone shows true remorse for past actions, I'm all about second chances and forgiveness. I find myself being his cheerleader and wanting him to succeed in his new life.
When he came onto the dance floor after telling his story, I felt "Come on. You can do it." *smiling* I was so proud of his effort, rooting for him to do well. He'll never be Fred Astaire, but God love him, he's improving. If he could just get that rod out of his neck and loosen up.
Predictions for going home? H-m-m. I hope it's DL or Lisa.

Re: DWTS Fourth Week
I enjoyed all the stories each one told. There were three that brought tears to my eyes.
Sean was a lot better but still has a way to go. It did touch my heart when he was talking about Catherine and his eyes lit up. When he went to Catherine and kissed her and told her her loved her and she had tears in her eyes that made my eyes really teared up. Sean does have a long way to go. Taking in the fact he has never danced he is not that bad. I do not think he can real relaxed do the dances. Some people can learn and it can be a easy step for them to learn. Some no.
Kelly was good. I think it might be hard for her to get real close to Derick because of her past. Mom does not want to have anything to do with her. Kelly found her and mom was not happy she found her.I did cry when her husband played and sang.
Zandaya WOW not only is she cute, sweet but she blew everyone one away with her dance. To me she should have all 9's.
Aly good. I just do not think she has that spark like Johnson.JMO
The football player could be very good if he would work on his frame.
Andy how much I respect him for addressing his problems and turning his life around. Dancing for his daughter had me crying.
The rest well go try.

What's the story on Kelly and her mom? Why isn't her mom in her life? Poor thing had an alcoholic father and no mom. Kudos to her for making something of her life out of that!
