First-Time Theme Is White Collar vs. Blue Collar vs. No Collar. Special 90-Minute Season Premiere Airs Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, Followed By a 90-Minute Premiere of “The Amazing Race”
CBS announced today the 18 castaways who will compete on the next SURVIVOR when the Emmy Award-winning series returns for its 30th season with a special 90-minute premiere, Wednesday, Feb. 25 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst is host.
After 15 years and 30 seasons, the newest edition will feature the first-time theme of “Worlds Apart,” with castaways from very different backgrounds divided into the three separate tribes. The all-new castaways will be grouped by White Collar, Blue Collar and No Collar.
The White Collars (Masaya Tribe), known for making the rules, includes a corporate executive, a retail buyer and a marketing director. The Blue Collars (Escameca Tribe), known to follow the rules, consists of a postal worker, an oil driller and a contractor. The No Collars (Nargarote Tribe) boasts free spirits who are known to break the rules. This tribe consists of a coconut salesman, a sailing instructor and a YouTube sensation. These three tribes will have very different approaches to how they play the game and interact with each other, while sharing the same goal: to outwit, outplay, outlast and ultimately be crowned Sole Survivor and winner of the $1 million dollar prize.

I just hope this season isn't as bad as last season but I'm afraid that people aspiring to be on this show learn too much from previous seasons.

I'll give it a shot. I tuned out midseason last year. If there's anyone too obnoxious, I've gotten to old for the patience required.

I also hope it's not as bad as last season as well - it would be nice to have someone on there that I would like to pull for.

Re: Survivor 30 - White Collar vs Blue Collar vs No Collar
Did anyone else watch the season premier last night?
I am encouraged right off the bat that So was sent home instead of Carolyn last night. I'm glad that they chose to keep an older tribe member over a deceitful one.
I find it interesting that both the blue collar tribe and the no collar tribe chose to do the right thing when given the choice but the white collar team chose to be deceitful to the rest of their tribe. That says a whole lot about why many people hate their bosses. I had to laugh when So and Joaquin were searching diligently for the hidden immunity idol that they stabbed everyone in the back for and Carolyn walked right in and found it before they did. Now it's time for Joaquin to go especially since he was just as bad if not worse than So. I also find it funny that this team that think they are smarted than the other two tribes lost the immunity challenge due to a puzzle that was considered the easiest to put together. So much for brains.
Don't have a whole lot to say about the blue collar tribe yet except the guy that ate the scorpion was really being dumb. Just because you cut off the tail doesn't mean there is no venom left in the darn thing.
As to the no collar tribe, Vince Sly (I'll just call him Sly because it's easier to remember, or the feather dude) came off a bit needy where Jenn was concerned. He would have turned me right off. There's something about that dude that I don't like.

I've decided to pass on the season. I've had enough of the deceit and backstabbing. I'm enjoying AI instead. Guess I need something a little more uplifting.

I only saw the last half hour of it because I was watching American Idol. I will try to catch the first hour that I missed by watching it on-line.

Season was good.
I really don't like Mike, too bad he made it to the end.
Shirin is crazy and annoying as f*ck.
Will have no idea how he got to final 3...
