DWTS - Season 17 - Week 4
I thought Corbin had the dance of the night - but I still gave all my votes to Bill. Lol.
I was more impressed by Leah than the judges were. I'll grant it was a rough start but she smoothed it out.
I don't know what it is about Elizabeth. Breaks in fluidity, maybe? I'm lukewarm with her.
I can't even remember what Jack danced. Just that he seemed to have a rod up his back/neck in rehearsal. Cheryl rather impatient. Selective editing again to form our opinions. Could they be more obvious?
Brant? Again, not memorable. Help me. What kind of celeb is he? Actor? Baseball?
Amber looked surprisingly great, considering the knee problems she's endured.
That zinger Julie leveled on Mark was spot on. It's what's always bothered me about him - a show off. But I do think Christina has the stuff to go to the finals.
I knew they were going to get on Snookie for the flicks but all in all, I think she did a decent dance despite the illness. If they used some super glue on her lips, I could grow to like her a little.
I'm glad Valerie made an exit. She gained my sympathy and I applaud her for what I feel was a bucket list wish. But no one else needed to be sacrificed to allow her stay any longer. It might've been Bill or Leah who went next.
I'm getting the feeling that our Billy Boy is widely popular with the audience/viewers. ta-dah. He's a "feel good" dancer who brings me joy. But I'll say that I hope Emma doesn't turn him into a comedy act. It was leaning that way last night. I thought his facial expressions (probably his doing) during the dance were over the top toward comedy. And I hope his stint with Latin has been terminated. Samba, Paso... what else did he do? H-m-m.
I'm enjoying this fast-paced format this season - and don't miss watching the troupe or hearing Brooke's buzz of stupid questions. I don't miss seeing the band. Most of all, I DON'T miss the old opening music, the repitition of which set my teeth on edge. After the first couple of Bruno's gyrations last night, I began to f-fwd through all his commentary. I believe he's the reason the show has to compact the last few minutes to fit the time slot. And I LOVED how quickly they moved to the announcements of safe at the end. Whoopie!

I've been watching the show, but I'm just not really into it that much this season. Too many new people. I do like Julianne's judging, though.

I know what you mean about the new pros, blue. Too many all at once. I'm wondering if the whole budget was streamlined. I saw that Macy's would no longer sponsor the Tuesday result show. I gotta wonder if they pulled funds from Monday as well.
I'm really happy with the fast pace. But they'll soon need to sit on Bruno in order to keep him from causing the show to run late. On the other hand, his antics allow for a much quicker results announcement at the end. LOL.
It WAS nice seeing Julianne. That girl has it all. I wish she'd take Carrie Ann or Bruno's place - preferably the lecher Bruno.
Aren't you liking any celeb this season? I'd never heard of Christina, Amber, Corbin, Brant - or the black guy who went first. And after seeing promos for Jersey Shores, never wanted to see Snookie. She has some ability, but I don't like hearing her talk. LOL
If not for Bill E., I probably wouldn't be watching. I love his joy and enthusiasm. He's not his best with Latin. Since he's been stuck with it more than his share, I hope he gets ballroom from here on out. I'm confident he'll shine. I'm almost like a proud family member when I watch him.

Re: DWTS - Season 17 - Week 4
Hey, Singly, there's just so many new people plus the new format. While I do think the show needed some changes, it's just hard to get used to. It does move pretty fast, that's for sure. No longer can I count on watching any of the dancing again on Tuesday nights. I'd like to see Max back. I also think some of the female pros were starting to look a little old as compared to the younger gals. I notice Cheryl has a new haircut style, and I think she looks great in it. I think that would help that one blonde-haired female pro who's not on this season. That's odd about Macy's.
I liked Val, and I like that tall girl with the long, blonde hair - can't think of her name at the moment. Bill's OK - I think he's really deserving, and I was happy to see him so excited about not leaving last week. I don't care for Mark or Snookie. At the moment, that's all the people I can think of right now.
