Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
Now week 10, the Team Up, Last Man Standing paso doble. James and Calvin chewed up the scenery in a wonderful display of hamming it up for the cameras. I laugh every time I view it.

And on week 10 we got this AT. Sharna turned control of the dance completely to James and it was masterful. The choreography, the execution were perfect (in spite of CAI suffering one of her periodic brain farts).

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
Despite how iconic their Suicide Squad dance is, this is my favorite dance of James and Sharna. This was James at his most dashing as a leading man (although their Fusion Dance and Rumba are really close). That perfectly timed handstand was unexpected and such a great way to end their AT.Lesallee wrote:And on week 11 we got this AT. Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
Probably the best trio dance I've ever seen on DWTS and I've seen 'em all!

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
I've seen them all as well, sis. Don't know if our threesome was necessarily the best ever. There are some others I'd rank just as high, e.g. Corbin's Jazz and Alfonso's Paso. Nevertheless it has become one of my absolute favorites based on concept and entertainment value. Not to mention Sharna and Jenna could turn every saint into a sinner. Holy moly.

I will concede Corbin's, Karina's and Witney's Jazz is on a par with this one. But that's it for me.

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
I'll admit I was initially so dazzled with their AT that I kind of overlooked their trio for awhile. Loved the way James jumps over his car, and they all looked like they were having so much fun. It almost could have been a finale freestyle the way it was presented with the set, costumes, and James's very own indycar.
In regards to trio concepts, here is another favorite of mine based on entertainment value. They were the first ones to go with this idea, and because Leah & Tony & Henry pulled this off so well I don't think there will be any attempts to do this again. Leah had her emotional ups and downs during her season, but I think she must have had a great time working on this jive with Tony and Henry.

The Remption Foxtrot. This was so much fun in spite of the darn skirt tangle. James' natural acting ability was so on display.

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
For me that was the loveliest Fusion dance I had seen in a long time. It was so special because of the connection and friendship they formed during their season.
Sharna will be at the Indy 500 this Sunday and apparently will also be a part of the pre-race parade. Good luck to you James. Be careful out there!
Lesallee, I read that the Canadian series Private Eyes just started their second season, and that James' appearance will be in the first episode. Have you had a chance to see it?

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
Terra will will also be at the Indy in some official role. Probably more Season 23 alumni will be there as spectators. It's a tribute to James that so many close friendships came out of that season.
The Private Eyes first show was Thursday night and I couldn't watch but I will catch it online in the next few days sue.

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
Watched an interview at the Indy with Sharna and her boyfriend yesterday. She is positive Hinch will win the Indy today. Hope she's right. She said James' racing experience made him such a fantastic dancer. His ability to focus completely on what needs to be done at that precise moment makes him great.

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
James was caught up in a multi-car crash towards the end of the race, so unfortunately he didn't finish (I think he placed 22nd), but at least he is okay.
Man, the crash of pole sitter Scott Dixon that sent his car flying into a fence. He apparently just missed Helio as Helio was driving by just past him along the fence. Thankfully Dixon actually walked away from that horrific looking crash.
Congrats to Takuma Sato who won this year's Indy 500 in a final battle between him and Helio, who placed 2nd.
Next year James!

Re: The Hinchburg Chronicles
That's not proper ballroom hold, you two. True friendship, that's what it is. They wouldn't have met without Hinch's fatal crash- what a relief this one wasn't as serious! The irony is: it's never his own fault apparently.
