“Episode 1202” – Twenty anxious men look to get their love story with JoJo off to a good start. The the first group date give ten lucky bachelors a chance to see sparks fly when they head for a firefighting training facility, where one of the guys might need saving himself. JoJo and Derek get to pick their own adventure, and they choose a romantic picnic by the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Six bachelors get a dream date to ESPN’s popular “SportsNation” with hosts Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley. They are sure they will be able to help JoJo find a perfect match, but Chad seems determined to “shock and awe” all the way up to the rose ceremony, on “The Bachelorette,” MONDAY, MAY 30 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network.

This season gets off to a sizzling start when a limo pulls up in front of the mansion and bursts into flames. The shocked men wonder where JoJo is until they see her pull up on a fire truck decked out in sexy firefighter gear. She invites ten of the guys to join her at a firefighting training facility where the men go through boot camp-like drills.  But the heat and heavy gear prove to be too much for one bachelor who nearly passes out. In the end three men are left, and their final challenge is to rescue JoJo from a burning tower. The winner gets to spend extra alone time with her.

Later at group date after party, the competition continues as the guys all try and get precious alone time with JoJo and get the group date rose. In the end, she surprises everyone when she hands out the rose to an unsuspecting bachelor.

Derek is the fortunate man who JoJo whisks away for the first one-on-one date of the season. In choosing their own adventure, they decide on having a romantic picnic by the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. JoJo is impressed by Derek, but he struggles to open up to her about his past heartache. Will JoJo’s honesty about her past help break down his walls?

ESPN’s “SportsNation” and popular co-hosts Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley welcome six excited bachelors. They promise to help JoJo find her soulmate and extract the guys who are here for the wrong reasons. The men participate in a series of challenges, including best touchdown dance and most romantic marriage proposal. However, Chad takes things too far and stuns everyone with how he talks to JoJo. But at the after party, Chad reveals his vulnerable side to the Bachelorette, sharing a heart breaking story with her. Will it make any difference in how she views him?

The drama is ramped up to an ‘11’ at the cocktail party, as Chad continues to infuriate the other men by monopolizing JoJo’s time. One tough guy is so offended he confronts the mischief-maker. Will anyone stop Chad? Seventeen men remain and three broken-hearted suitors return home without a rose.

Well Chad comes across as quite the little d-bag.

Nothing attractive about him.

Chad should have never been accepted for the show!  Maybe his anti-social
behavior and aggression towards the other men is the result of his mom passing
away six months ago.  He simply hasn't had enough time to grieve, which the
producers must have known when they signed him up.  Think he'll be a goner
after the two episodes that will be aired next week.

We have to listen to him again next week whining through the show?  I actually surprise screamed when she said his name.

It seemed as if she struggled to choke out Chad's name.

Why do TPTB think women want to watch a narcissistic fool go on and on about how great he is?  Yuck!  Every self-stroking PI is time away from another guy who might actually be right for JoJo.  We know from previews that management asks Chad to leave.  Why waste this much time on him?  The idiot was still chewing at the rose ceremony.

Meanwhile, I'm getting shades of a young Ted Danson in Jordan.  I'm anxious to get off the Chad train and see more footage of the other guys - other than everyone complaining about what a douche Chad is.

I knew he'd get the last rose, it's what they do on this show.

Chad looks as if he is performing.  His facial expressions kept changing, glancing his eyes back and forth, chewing his food...it all looked like he was doing it for the cameras.  The producers love a bad boy and encourage it.  Chad is disgusting, but Alex is not much better.  Alex makes sure he gets the low down on what Chad is doing, he gossips about it, stirring the pot with the other guys, then confronts Chad.  Maybe Alex should just shut up and mind his own business and then there would be less drama.  Oh but that's not what this show wants.

No you didn't spoil anything for me at all - the previews showed that Chad was a hothead - you just made me want to watch the episode even more.  I like your comments - keep them coming please!  

Glad I didn't spoil it, will keep them coming as best I can. 

He's one of those really bad actors, he's chewing the scenery all over the place and it looks like it didn't taste good. I'm hoping he doesn't last too long because frankly if I "accidentally" throw my TV over the balcony in frustration, then I have to go get another one. That could be hard on the wallet, lol.

Well...here we go again, another new season and another bad actor villain in Chad and more fake drama.  This guy is so clearly acting, and badly at that, I can't believe that JoJo and the guys have not figured it out.  I think Jojo is a good ette and they didn't need all this drama.  It is taking away from her "journey" and is sleazy, even for them, to do this to her.

They were saying on Extra tonight that Chad is not the bad guy he appears to be on the show.  They said he is a veteran and he and his sister took care of their mom that recently passed away from Cancer.  They also said that Chad was really close to his mother and still really misses her.  They said what the dogs name was but I don't remember what it is but they said that she is Chad's daughter.  

Just like Wes wasn't the bad guy they portrayed him to be, as we found out later.  I don't know why this show chooses one person to be the villain every year, and then tells them to act their little hearts out. I wonder if they get some kind of compensation for allowing the show to portray them as a horrible person.  It is not needed nor appreciated by the viewers, it is not fair to the lead, the other contestants, or the person they chose as their villain every season. They must give some kind of compensation to the villain, unless they sniff out the people looking for an acting career or to promote themselves for some other reason...otherwise, why would they agree to do it?

What they haven't had before was the same guy droning on and on throughout the show and basically complaining about the same thing.  I thought how long are we going to have to listen to him.  I was hoping the guys would band together and threaten to walk off the show.  I hope we don't have to listen to him go on and on next week.

There are times that this show boggles my mind, and at my age I only want to boggle it myself.

Somehow that last part just doesn't sound right.

Of course she doesn't want to keep Chad but must because it's the same formula every single season on this show. There are always one or two bad guys who everyone hates but must be kept on the show for conflict purposes.

As soon as it was time for the rose ceremony I said Chad will get the last rose. 

That is just how it goes on this show. 

Maybe they need new writers.
