Thanks, Silver!  Absolutely stunning set-up and transition!  Amazing writing!   S&T

Maggie looked around the room to see if she could find Margie, but all she saw was a sea of characters, crossing all periods of history and walks of life, filling the Grand Ballroom of the Castle.  She adjusted her hat, a tall pointed one, colored a soft moss green, adorned with a light blue chiffon scarf falling from the tip of the point down her back.  Her dress was light-weight blue velvet, trimmed with moss green and cut to perfection.  Maggie was a fetching Maid Marion.  Beside her Theresa made a beautiful Juliet with her maroon cap trimmed in gold set upon her long golden tresses and a medieval dress of maroon brocade with a square neckline and long sleeves that were bell shaped on the ends.  The two looked at each other and smiled.  “Well, I never expected this!” Maggie said.  “Neither did I!” Theresa responded.  “I have a feeling we’re in for a wild evening!”

Thinking back on her time spent at the castle, Aubrey would not have changed anything about her journey. For she finally came to realize that life owed her nothing and that she had wasted many years waiting for that golden moment that would turn her life into the fairy tale she had always longed to experience. Even though Z. had not chosen her in the end, she found friends-real ones-that would be there for her no matter what. And till now, she was not appreciative enough of this thing called life that she could choose to put to good use or let it wither away, like the crunchy leaves beneath her feet turning to dust. She and Camryn met at the ball dressed alike, as promised, ready to greet the other goblins, excitement permeating every bit of chill in the crisp evening air. She had no idea who Dick Butkus was until the day Steven told her he was on his way to see her, but while Camryn and Aubrey had an epiphany of their own, they had no idea they were on the verge of something great...

Speeding along the I-5, Jasmine and James were energized to be going back up to the place where they had first met those few short weeks ago. They couldn't believe how quickly their relationship had flourished into one of trust, companionship, and the beginnings of love. They were compatible in so many ways, and the naturalness of being together made the transition from single to couple the easiest part of their move back to San Diego. Jasmine got to see her students again and began working with a few new ones as well. She had been sorely missed and had to readjust to teacher Jasmine once again. And in so doing, she found the perfect costume idea for her and James. At their own Halloween party for the kids earlier that week, there were many Disney costumes in the mix, Princess Jasmine from "Aladdin" among them. And so Jasmine whipped up two costumes for herself and for James, paying tribute to her heritage at the same time. She felt like a princess especially when James was with her-he never failed to show her how much he cared for her and actually how well he had come to know her. James parked his car near the castle and as he helped his princess out planted a soft kiss on the nape of her neck, his eyes then clearly telling her HE was the luckiest bachelor in the 'room'...

It felt very strange to be getting ready for a RC without Penny near her side Jen thought to herself. Never in a million years would she have bet that one twin would be preparing for a life without the other at this point in time. They always did things together, and as happy as Jen was for her sister, she could not help but feel alone-really alone-and she couldn't even share that sadness with her other half. She would never dream of tainting Penny's joy with her own misgivings. The costume Jen chose to wear was among several presented to her earlier in the day, and provided courtesy of ABC. She was in such a nostalgic mood that day remembering her childhood with Penny, that she chose the one that made the most sense: the woodland fairy costume with the silvery wand. Would she be able to conjure up a bachelor of her own she wondered, or at least a better mood, instead of the rather bitter one she was feeling at the moment? Would this little wand magically carry her away to her own fairy land, where she experienced so many happy times? Jen studied the dress and all of it's intricacies: the grass green tulle underskirt, it's jagged edges running down her leg the exact length of a ballerina skirt she imagined... Jen sank into the tub, letting the 'Calgon take her away' for a moment. The scent of the rose oil refreshed her as it's sweet aroma gave her just the attitude adjustment she desperately needed. Jen was not prone to depressive moods and soon she was humming and playing with imaginary bubbles, laughing at her own silliness... Pulling up the dress was no easy chore as it fit like a glove-also courtesy of ABC she wondered with a giggle. The green tulle fit just as she imagined it would, and the pale aqua silk overlay nestled from slim hip to thigh over top. The teal bodice snugly enhanced her curves in all of the right places. She loved how the matching tri-toned ribbons ran in and out from top to bottom through out the front of the bodice, resting at the hipline. Green leaves of satin horizontally appliqued along the bustline giving way to the aqua halter ties finished the dress. Jeneva sighed as she struggled to tie the teal ribbons lacing up the back of the costume much like a corset. Just then Penny entered Jen's room, offering to help her twin with the last of her wardrobe chores. "Oh Penny-you must have sensed that I needed you-that is why you are here," Jen cried with happiness to her sister. "HUH? are you kidding me," Penny responded with an angst laden voice. "Do you see this costume ? I will need YOUR assistance and I am SO LATE!!" Jen laughed with relief as she reached for the silver and white wings that matched the wand. When all was securely attached, and matching green and silver slippers were on, Jen turned to help her twin. The balance once again restored in her heart Jen felt confident that one day her own prince would come-who knows-maybe it would be tonight...

As Mari was about to walk out the door to the taxi awaiting her, Becca comes running, "Mari, you can't leave, Roger is about to be on television, the announcer says it's a big breaking news moment, that hunk Architect, Roger Moore, is about to make a major announcement.  You must stay and hear this."  Running to keep Mari from going, Lena, Grace and Annie dressed in her Pocahontas costume all ready to meet her John Raft, guard the front door to keep Mari from leaving.

Connie, the news announcer turns to Roger, "Roger I understand you have an announcement to make concerning your personal life. There are many single ladies out there that hope this doesn't mean you are off the market."  Well, we'll have to see about that Connie, it all depends.  What I would like to talk about is my past, when I was 18 years old, a high school senior, who thought the world turned around him.  I was a foolish young man who ina moment of passion was intimate with a young lady who had my child.  For years, to protect my reputation, I have kept this a secret from not only my company, but also my parents and friends.  I had a daughter who, had she lived, would be 10 years old now.  I don't need to go into the pain of that other than she was very sick and was unable to survive.  I paid off my daughter's mother to keep her quiet and  I have been doing this since then I found out about the baby.  I am ending this today.  The person who involved has threatened me that if I don't continue paying her, she will "tell all" so to speak.  Well, Connie, that will be no more.  I am now telling all.  I will no longer support this woman; she knows who she is.  I apologize to my family, friends, business associates and the S.F. community -I hope you will understand my reasons for keeping this to myself.  I ask that you honor my request for no more interviews.  Thank you, now I have to get ready for my friend's, the bachelor, Zorro's, final rose ball.  I am hoping that a certain person will be there.  I will be dressed up and I hope my princess will be there.  Thanks and I love you S.F.  Good night"

"You can't go, Mari.  You must go to the ball.  Come on, let's get you into your Princess costume (think sleeping beauty, the movie Enchantment with McDreamy and Amy Adams)!

.................To be continued with the Ball!!!

Thank goodness Mack-I hope Mari will listen to her friends cuz if not the twins will have to wrestle her into the princess costume!! and gotta love the Breaking News segment and McDreamy reference!! thank you for keeping her in the running for Roger-this should be some magical night alright sweetie! I can hardly wait to see what happens next my dear! xo, Chipalooo

The twins had to hurry along in their preparations for the ball. Jen noticed that Penny's costume was very similar to her own albeit a bit more opulent and included a garland for her hair made from fresh flowers and pearls. With more layers of tulle, and more shades of teals and sea blues, Penny looked extraordinary as Jen laced up the back of her gown. "Penny-did you notice the tag inside the back of your dress-it says 'Fand'. I wonder what that means," Jen asked as she pushed Penny's wings into place and found her slippers. "I am not sure but the note I was given mentioned that it was the name of my character per se and not the brand name. Let's look and see if you have a name on your tag," Penny suggested, intrigued by what significance this tag held if any. "Yours reads 'LiBan,' Jen. Who are these fairies and what have they done to poor little Tinker bell," Penny laughed, her curiosity increasing. Jen clasped Penny's gold chain as she noted there was also one for her to wear. "I have no idea who they are, but I am betting that they are sisters at the very least. How do you suppose this ties us to Z.," Jeneva posited to her twin as they left the south wing of the castle arm in arm. Both girls were full of anticipation for an evening of thrills, chills, and most of all magical romance...

Always the gentleman, James held the door open for his date Jasmine. People were mingling, laughing and admiring all of the decorations that had been done by a company called 'Silverlining2'. Jasmine was impressed by the authenticity of the designs and even found herself being creeped out by more than a few. James laughed as she screamed when one of the pool chair 'loungers' dropped it's hand into her eyeball beverage! The bony fingers reminded her of Halloweens past and she couldn't help but grab James and hold him a bit closer. Of course James had no problem with keeping his fav girl safe and just snuggled a little more as Jasmine had found another even more disturbing 'guest' on the castle grounds. "Is that freaky man over there another guest or a real person? Whichever it is I don't think I want to meet him," Jasmine admitted to James. "Hopefully more real people will get here and then I won't have to give it a second thought," she added with a shiver. The couple returned to the party happening inside the castle and Jasmine's ears heard a familiar loud laugh-Camryn-she'd know that guffaw anywhere. Just as she turned to her left she saw Camryn AND Aubrey-both dressed as cheerleaders. "Wow-who are you girls cheering for," James asked with a twinkling eye. ""Hi James and Jas! We're Chicago Bears cheerleaders-see," Aubrey answered with a grin. "Give me a C..." "C," Camryn echoed back. "And we are missing our football player escort-he was to meet us here about now actually," Aubrey mentioned looking around the room. "So if you see a Bear-a big Bear-tell him we're looking for him k guys," Cam asked with a giggle. Jas and James nodded and moved on to the the staircase to the south wing. Jenny and Penny were to meet up with the couple there and then look for the rest of the bachelorettes...

Penny noticed that Jas and James were at the bottom of the staircase as planned and she felt very relieved. Of all the girls in the house she felt closer to Jas than any of the rest, next to Jen of course. 'Jasmine-it's so good to see you back here! And James my other favorite," Penny practically shouted over the loud music. Monster Mash was being played as more guests began to arrive and Penny was grateful for the support of her friends especially tonight. Z. would be choosing only a few to stay and she was feeling nervous and frankly a bit nauseous. Pleasant distractions were the order of the night she felt and so she threw herself into the spirit that Halloween offered up in spades. Jasmine spotted a big bear and wondered if was the same bear Camryn and Aubrey were looking for. She guessed not for both Cam and Aubs asked the big hulk something and he shook his head. "How many bears could there be here this evening," she wondered half aloud. "Penny, you and Jen are just beautiful-your costumes are so you," Jasmine nodded approvingly, as each sister took the proverbial twirl. "Thanks Jas-we're fairies named Fand and LiBan-but not sure where we are from-haha," Jen informed with a shrug. "I think you are Irish-it seems to me those names are from Irish folklore," Jasmine provided with a smile. "Irish you say-hmmm-is that a clue maybe," Penny asked with some hope in her voice. Jen nodded and hugged her twin. "Let's get some champagne-I think you deserve a toast my Irish sister," Jen said supportively. And the group moved on to find the other bachettes and clues for this evening's festivities...

Still no luck in finding the other girls and Penny was beginning to question whether she would be seeing Z. at all. Panicking a bit, she turned to Jen and grabbed her twin's hand. "Jen-what if there was some secret code-and if I did not get it I was being eliminated! Oh my gosh..." Penny murmured weakly. "Penny just what did that note say-do you have it with you," Jen asked her sister as she pulled on her hand as if trying to shake Pen. "No I don't have it with me but I think it said something about this is your first clue and to see if you can find clue number two," Penny responded just now realizing what it meant. "Okay-good-it IS a clue and now we have a hunt on our hands Penny. Don't you see? We know we're Irish fairies, now we just have to find clue number two-let's start looking for any fairy we can and maybe that will help us get to the next step in the hunt. Oh-over by the the front door-there is a fairy. Let's go," Jen said, pulling her twin out of her reverie and into reality. Jas and James were happy to go along for the ride so to speak and couldn't believe that a scavenger hunt was on the 'menu' for this party...

"Can you believe this-three fairies later and not one clue? Maybe we're barking up the wrong tree-uh fairy here Jen," Penny said with a heavy sigh. "And guess what-I just saw a couple of the bachelorettes and hopefully we'll find our prize first," Jen added wryly. And then Penny spied it-the gold chain that matched their own around the neck of another fairy. As she wound her way through the goblins, skeletons and assorted beverage laden hands, she grabbed hold of the wrist of the fairy they were looking for. As the woman turned toward her she saw the name tag that said Fand. The friendly older woman smiled and gave her a hug. "Yes Penny. I have clue number two for you: My real name is Katie, but tonight I am Fand, look for the Irish fairy-whose name too is LiBan..." With that Penny and Jen had an idea of just where to find their other namesake LiBan. They had spotted a similar fairy to Fand by the pool in the back yard through the kitchen window-hopefully she was still there. Jasmine and James followed on the heels of the twins, all the while hoping there would be no penalty for helping on the scavenger hunt...

As soon as the door opened Penny wished she had thrown on her shawl. The fairy costume was beautiful, but not warm enough, for spending much time outdoors. The cool air hit her lungs with a vengeance and she hugged her wings around her arms trying to keep any warmth trapped there next to her heart. Jenny saw the other fairy first as they had thought, near the pool and the skeleton guests. Penny did a complete double take right then and there: because the fairy they saw looked exactly like the Fand they had just spoken to but this one had less 'volume' in the skirt of her costume. "Haha-you caught me Penny! I am the third clue for you: "Tonight I'm a twin called LiBan, but my real name is Kat. Look for the ship by a pond where you will find a bat..." Jen had to stop for a minute and have some water. She was so parched and knew that both girls needed to quench their thirst before going on. James and Jas brought the girls more water and the four stopped to confer over this latest clue. "Well we know it is at the duck pond but a ship-I hope it is not a pirate ship," Jasmine said with trepidation. "I am probably the only person you know who got spooked by the Pirates of the Caribbean movies," she added with a shake of her head. James laughed as he learned something new about Jasmine this evening. "I will protect you Jas," James whispered to Jasmine as she just made a face...

Camryn and Aubrey were getting a little more than peeved. Their special guest this evening so far was a no show and they were tired of going through the questions. So far this pm they had found a papa bear, a ma-ma bear and yes, even a teeny weeny baby bear, but no Big Bear-their bear of honor. As they made their way outside for the third time that night they were even getting tired of the lounge chair bony guests and were ready to chuck them all into the pool. "Hey-look Aubrey," Cam pointed to Penny, "I wonder why that group is in such a hurry? Maybe they have found our bear." Cam and Aubrey decided to follow Penny and the others-it couldn't hurt and they had not looked out back yet that night. And so the entourage began to grow larger and larger as everyone began to assume that someone knew something the other did not, and they didn't want to be left out of a good time...

The former bachelorettes noticed that the crowd had grown as they tried to find the Bear. And then Camryn saw him-he was about to go on the pirate ship in the pond; and she noticed someone else as well-another Chicago Bear cheerleader just hanging onto his arm like a trophy wife. What?? The stocky big bear suit fit him well she noted. The bear head looked authentic and his Chicago Bears jersey looked official as well. Even the Super Bowl rings looked real. Oh yeah, DUH, she reminded herself, they are real. And as soon as she got closer she recognized the blonde cheerleader-it was Natalie from Jason's season-the bear lover. How in the world did she end up here and on Number 51's arm she wondered? Aubrey was steaming as she almost tripped over the man dressed up as a Fed Ex box. He was making a beeline for their bear and she planned to cut him off. It was a fight to the finish between Cam, Aubs, the Fed Ex guy and the man dressed in the SF 49er costume. The big bear and Natalie were walking the plank for the fans by the time the group arrived at the ship and the 49er called out to Number 51-"GO LONG-GO LONG 51!!" Number 51 never missed a ball-his hands were as sure today as they were in the 80's. OOPS! Number 51 caught the ball, but the pirate ship did not cooperate, as the ball, the bear, and the blonde cheerleader named Natalie all ended up in the pond!. The crowd let out a collective groan-the loudest in Bachelor History-as the bear came up for air and removed his bear head. All you could hear was the Fed Ex guy say "I'm sorry Dick Butkus!!" Yep-Number 51 indeed was the real Dick Butkus and he just got 'sacked'. But he caught the ball...

The groan from the shore by the pond got Penny's attention for a moment but then she continued in her search for the bat. Hopefully it was not a real bat, but you never know-odder things had happened this evening so she would not be surprised. She could hear James and Jasmine laughing about something in the pond but she paid no attention. She looked around for plastic bats, rubber ones and even people dressed as bats. But it was Jen who found the clue. It was hanging like a tag from the wrist of a person dressed as a bat, and she laughed at the twins' persistent attempts to tear it off her wrist. Penny read it out loud: "Congrats-this is your fourth clue. You have reached the ship, now find the shore, And the little blue ball will tell you more..." Jen looked at Penny with a relieved smile, for knew just where that little blue ball was. It had held the key to their own little house and now she realized what Penny could not know yet. Jen led Penny to the side of the pond and there it was-the little blue ball that was permanently attached and anchored there by the original designer of the duck pond-his signature etched into it. Penny found the node on the bottom that released the lock and opened the ball; inside was the last clue and she read: You've come so far to find the key, now you must come alone if you want to find me. ♥Z.
