DWTS Off Season Conversation

A place for sharing thoughts and any smidgeons of info we pick up while awaiting Season 22.

DWTS on their Facebook page have been promoting the upcoming tour. I find it most interesting that so very many comments are asking about when and where Hayes will be appearing! I think that young man is a huge attraction and he is who lots want to see. Needless to say, Val is, as usual, quite a draw.

It would be cool if they would put together a Christmas special for tv.Do some really great routines with the pros and some of the contestants.

People that can't see the "Live" shows would appreciate it I am sure.It would be wonderful to see some great exhibition dances without TPTB and their agenda being involved.

I love the Christmas special idea Oakma!! Or any kind of special from them. Maybe a bloopers special when they mess up in rehearsals...Wasn't there a Bloopers show with Dick Clark? I have even thought about that before the season starts have a pro special just to get things started.

Yes lesallee, when I heard about Hayes I looked to see if he would be at the show I was going to, but I guess the schedules are not up yet with the special guests. Last summer you could look on dwts website and see what shows Rumer and Alfonso would be in. Keeping my fingers crossed to get to see Hayes!!! Very Happy

I read last night (DWTSGossip, I think) that Celine Dion is interested in doing DWTS if her schedule permits. That would be a coup for the show to land a star of her magnitude. I can only visualize her with Val, no one else. Probably won't happen as the lady stays very busy.

That would be great.I think she would be very good.It would certainly increase the audience,she is pretty popular.I can imagine that she would be the winner/ringer .... her being in show business and having dancing in all of her shows.

I imagine TPTB would be using Rene's illness to the hilt and I would not like to see a boo-hoo season again so soon.

Oakma, I'm still not sure if I should think of you as pessimistic or just realistic, but you have a point there. TPTB wouldn't let such a tear jerker pass.
Anyway, I'll hop on your train and say Celine doing the show is as likely as Shania Twain.
But if she really would, the only pro I could think of is Tony. Celine is probably as tall as Erin.

Celine is 5'7.5" so her height shouldn't be a problem. Like I said, I can only imagine her with Val! Erin is 5'10".

Of course, the producers would milk the sad story of Rene continuously but that's what they do. They will drive us to distraction over some contestants no matter who is cast.

Sticking to the Canadian theme I would love Michael Buble on the show although I don't know that he would consider it. He has some moves he uses in his concerts and certainly has natural rhythm and musicality.

Kurt Browning would be wonderful too as would Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir.

My Canadian wish list. Add Shania, can't forget her.

Well DMD ... I like to keep people guessing ...

I don't imagine CD would do it nor ST ... neither one need to do the show.Once you are a hit on the strip you can always get a gig ... and make great money.

   I don't think the story of Celines husband would be a problem for me, even if producers used it....Celine would not....she is known for too many other things in her life.
   Last season we ended up with a contestant that their sad story was pretty much the prominent thing they were known for and the contestant milked it as much or even more than the producers..
   Would like to see Michael also!!   I would like to see Harry Connick Jr with Peta or Sharna.

Since you went there: I am absolutely sure Celine herself wouldn't milk it like Bindi- DWTS is a show like a Vegas gig, and she is 100% a professional who would never overdo it. If the heights do match (I thought she was taller; must be her endless legs), Val would indeed be perfect since he has the cojones to tell the producers if he's pissed with the packages. His comment turned it around for Tamar. The rest was bad luck.

Most people who come on this show are in show business, so they shouldn't think of them as ringers because of that. I don't know if I have ever even seen Celine dance and I feel she is pretty naturally melodramatic as she is and has Bindi beat in that department.

There were lots of rumors but nothing confirmed I don't think.

One rumor was that Max wanted a home and babies and Karina wanted to work.The other was Max's ego.

If I were Peta I would forgo the long engagement and fairytale wedding and run off and get married quickly and start with the babies ....

The most often heard reason was Karina didn't really want to go the baby route. I think Maks truly wants a family, he has said so frequently. Karina doesn't have a great track record with lasting relationships leading me to think she is very career oriented. Nothing wrong with that, to each their own. Certainly Maks and Karina treat each other as friends so no big drama there.

Oh they do look good alright! But I think they know exactly what they are doing so I don't worry much about them lasting. Neither are silly kids, rather they are mature adults and they do know one another very well. Peta is very close to all of Maks' family and that is so important.

Karina had eggs harvested as a precaution so she could have babies so I do think she wants a family.I think maybe she is torn about "having it all" as the saying goes.A lot of women and men have that issue.

I know she has said she has relationship issues and was working on them.

When Karina and Maksim broke up there were rumours that she told him she was pregnant and he was very happy and that's why they got engaged. Then she turned out not to be, Maks wanted babies, but Karina at that time did not and things got really nasty, but of course only they know the real story.
I think even Maks knew he would probably get back with Peta eventually , and he is lucky that she loved him enough to let him go and do what he needed to(the Jlo and Kate thing) and come back. Over the years it was obvious that not only Maks was in love with Peta, but his family always was there for her loving her the whole time. Hey....even Prince William took some time and realized Kate was his one true love.........Fairy tales sometimes do come true....so I, like you lesallee believe they are in it for life Blow kisses
