Well, if DWTS ever p*sses Emma off to the point where she follows Tristan to SCD she would be a wonderful asset to that show!DeadManDancing wrote:Let me add: thank you Emma for the way you took care of this kid. I hope your time will come and you will not end up with the MacManus syndrome.

Re: Bing Predicts
Another request for people with access to Bing Predicts. Who is next weeks elimination according to them? Alek, Tamar and Alexa are all said to be possibilities so I wondered what Bing thinks.

Lesallee...I just checked Bing. They haven't made their prediction for this week yet.

I checked for you. They haven't updated their predictions for week 8. They are still showing week 7.

Thanks prattle and Psychee for having a look on my behalf. Bing has been promising Canadian access for some 2 years but no progress!

What happens when you type in www.bing.com? Do you get an error message saying it can't be found?

Not much, Psychee. I have thrown in the towel and will have to rely on kind posters who can keep me up to date.Psychee22 wrote:What happens when you go to Bing and put "DWTS Predictions" in the search box?

Re: Bing Predicts
I'll be happy to keep you posted. I'm just really curious how they stop the predictions from loading and why they would do so, and I keep wondering if those predictions are somewhere on that search of "DWTS predictions" page and you are not recognizing them for what they are -- I say this because I didn't recognize them myself for awhile, and then I had an "Oh wow. There they are!" experience.
So, just in case.... They show up as just a side column or top column on that search page, depending on your browser. Sometimes, it is just pictures across the top, some in black and white (those are eliminated) and some in color, and then underneath that it says "safe" or "to be eliminated". I think it does that in Safari.
In Firefox, you see a blurb in the right column generally summarizing what the show is, the producers, winners, and so forth and you have to scroll down the page to see, right below that, another section that says "season 21" and below that a scroll section that has pics of the current players and next to them the words "safe" or whatever.
Only three pictures show and you have to scroll within that section to see the rest. I don't know how IE and Chrome renders this info. In any case, all the rest of the page is what you would expect to see on a search page.

Re: Bing Predicts
Bing Predicts is simply inaccessible for me, Psychee. No side columns or top rows, nada. I've searched using Safari, IE, Chrome. I just get a static screen telling me mostly nothing. So I shall rely on the good graces of forum friends to report whatever Bing predicts.

Re: Bing Predicts
And yet it has predicted things like the World Cup in your country and the Scotland vote in the UK. Perhaps it is being messed up by the dual language in Canada -- I'm thinking that it is likely that it can't understand social media comments that are written in French yet. And perhaps it can't report its finding in French yet as well. Is there often a fuss when a web page is only available in English in Canada? Would an English-only result page be a PR nightmare for Microsoft? Truth is, they are not even doing a good job for the DWTS predictions in English yet. There are frequent errors of missing information.

I just saw on Pure that Bing is predicting Carlos to be eliminated on Monday. I find that improbable. Has anyone had a look at Bing's prognostications?

Re: Bing Predicts
Bing has not changed all week. They are still saying Hayes eliminated and everyone else safe.
I read that comment on PureDWTS as well yesterday. It's a blatant lie.

Thanks, Psychee. I couldn't fathom Bing saying Carlos would be going. Just too far fetched.Psychee22 wrote:Bing has not changed all week. They are still saying Hayes eliminated and everyone else safe.

Re: Bing Predicts
I can't understand someone lying that boldly on a message board, though. It isn't like (most) people can't check. What purpose does it serve? Perhaps she meant some other entity instead of Bing made that prediction?
In any case... there are some very vocal women over there who do not seem to like Carlos. They have it in their heads that he treats his wife badly.
I'm not a member there so I can't see what they write in their "private" sections. I just see the public reaction to the articles they write.

I don't go to Pure very often because they are so biased and opinionated - you know, my way or the highway. But they get some info occasionally that I want to see so I have to confess to Pure visits now and again.

Re: Bing Predicts
Interesting. I still curious why Bing hasn't posted their prediction. They usually have it out by Friday before the next week or perhaps it is too close to call this week. Anyway, Bing has been scary accurate in term of predicting who goes home each week. For the past three or four seasons, they have only been wrong a few times. Who do you think will go home this week Pyschee?Psychee22 wrote:GOLD DERBY Predictions for Week 7 Elimination:

Re: Bing Predicts
I am more inclined to think that Tamar is going home than Alek, but I could definitely be overestimating the support he is getting from military families. I believe he is more generally liked than she is right now, but there's no saying if the folks who like him actually vote.
So if Alek goes home, I won't be very surprised.
Tamar could also win immunity. Frankly, I don't understand the immunity thing at all this year. The write up said that the immunity is for week 9. It has never been for the following week before. Did they write that wrong? What if the person who is eliminated this week wins immunity for next week?
By the way, did you know that Jimmy Kimmel predicted that Nick would win? He bets $1000 every year before anyone dances their first dance and gets it right about 50% of the time. With a track record that good, one has to wonder if his public predictions help shape how his viewers vote.
