Not really - I got this link from somewhere - it has a place to sign in which looks like where we used to sign in before and right now it is showing that voting is closed.

I probably won't be able to vote. My email address expired, and I wasn't able to change it. So, we'll see what happens.

I can try to join. I had thought about that, but it's going to depend on how much info I have to give.

Actually I don't know if I can see in myself. I haven't signed in since last year for voting on DWTS. I guess I will find out - I can always vote on Facebook and by phone as well.USN wrote:I can try to join. I had thought about that, but it's going to depend on how much info I have to give.

I was able to log in using my user name and password that I've had from before! The voting board looks just the same as it did last year.

Oh good grief, that was a nightmare try to remember password, old accts, etc. I had to make a new acct, and then put in the wrong email address. It's going to be interesting to see if I can vote.

Re: Season 21 - Week 1
I was able to to vote. I hope I don't have to go through that every week. I thought tonight's show was really good. They have a number of talented dancers this season. I thought Bindi, Alek, and Nick performed the best tonight.

Re: Season 21 - Week 1
I was so impressed with Alek tonight because for someone that hadn't danced he did fantastic. He even surprised the Judges. Nick was great as I hoped (and kinda thought) he would be. Bindi was also very good but her bubbly personality wears me out.
What I didn't understand was how what Gary did scored a point higher from each judge than what Kim did. I don't care for Kim but I did feel she was scored a bit too low but then what do I know?
I do not like the "Man Buns" at all (Carlos and Mark are both sporting them).

Re: Season 21 - Week 1
I don't think anyone on this season has dance experience. I don't mind a bubbly personality, as long as they are not over the top weird.
LOL!! They looked like tiny ponytails to me.
Quite frankly, I didn't Kim was any worse than Gary or Chaka. I have never understood the judges scores. Their remarks never seem to match up with the scores.

I only watched the last half-hour - busy with other things. Maybe tonight I'll watch the "summary" show. Saw a lot of familiar faces in the audience.

It was actually a pretty good show tonight, Newto. I think you will enjoy most of the dances.

Re: Season 21 - Week 1
I thought we got off to a good start last night. With the exception of Paula Deen, who just really needed to keep her mouth shut, the celebrities seem likeable and seem to be enjoying themselves.
I did not know that most jockeys had short-term memory loss from concussions. Interesting yet disturbing. Karina certainly has her work cut out for her. It wasn't horrible horrible, and he looked like he was having fun, but I predict Victor will be one of the earlier ousters.
Tamar Braxton was a surprise and a delight. Very nice job, and she seems like she'll be a fun personality. Chaka Khan was also fun. I had hoped she'd be a bit more Patti Labelle in her movements, but she may yet loosen up a bit. She did a decent job.
In fact, I thought most of them did a decent job. Kim Z was quite possibly the worst. She's only 37 but for goodness sakes, that 70-something designer, Betsy something, moved more freely than Kim did. Yikes. And sorry, but that whole "I'm not dancing with my husband" stuff is always silly, but it's especially silly coming from someone on a reality tv show. Please. She's my top pick to leave first. I love Louie, so it's great to see him back. Trying to put aside my personal feelings about Paula, she moves decently, and if she can overcome nerves (I'm going to give her that crutch for her comment about her underwear) and not keep making really crude comments, she could last til more middle of the pack. Gary Busey - I never know what to think about him. I feel sorry for him and yet I don't because he almost always seems to be enjoying himself and doesn't seem to mind poking fun at himself. He wasn't as bad as I expected him to be, so there's that.
Bindi, Nick, Alex, Carlos were all pretty good as well. Andy was just a notch below them. Alek was surprisingly good for someone who hasn't danced before. He could go far.
I thought Hayes had potential - he's definitely got the gangly teenager thing going on, but he moved easily and seemed so joyous. He could stick around for a long while. But someone needs to stuff a sock in Carrie Anne's mouth. Oh my word she gets as inappropriate as Bruno sometimes. Yikes!
Other thoughts - Julianne looked gorgeous last night. They said she won an Emmy, but I didn't get what it was for. Did anyone else get it? I thought Erin also looked stunning last night. Loved her hair and dress.
Mark - no. Just no. Cut your hair!! What was with that silly bun? Ugh.
Okay, show, we know Alexa and Carlos are married. We get it. We still get it. Yes, we know they're married. Now stop. Just stop. Let each compete on their own merits and stop treating them like some kind of package deal. It was cute the first time, but by the end of the evening, it was already getting old. Continue through the coming weeks, and we'll be rooting for at least one of them to get kicked off just to make it stop.
Welcome back, DWTS. I've missed you.

Julianne won an Emmy for choreography but I don't know for what the choreography was for.

Thanks, SLA.
Forgot to mention - I loved the opening number. That was really fun and creative and different and I loved it.

Re: Season 21 - Week 1
You're Welcome, LM! I pretty much agree with everything you said. I also thought we got off to a pretty good start. I was really surprised at the quality of dancing. I think this should be a good season.
I also agreed with you about Julianne and Erin. I really like Erin's hair at the shorter length.

I don't get it either with Gary. IMO I thought Paula did a much better job then he did and they received the same score AND I have to agree the man buns
