What does this say about our culture?

What's up with all the guys wanting to be with Jade? They have all obviously watched her Playboy video and have this drive to be with her. I haven't nor have I the desire to go find it and watch it. I don't know if anyone on this board saw it and can share what she did. I'm not sure if she was in provocative positions. Are these guys obsessed with her being a playboy model, her body, think she is promiscuous, easy, or her celebrity affiliation with playboy? drooling

BTW, I've always liked Jade. She seems like a really sweet girl. I think Chris Soules made a mistake by letting her go. Even Chris's sisters liked Jade but when Jade divulged that she was involved with Playboy the dynamics changed with him. I like Tanner a lot too and I liked that he put her at ease by saying last night that he didn't care about what she did in Playboy. It freed up any tension she may have been feeling so they could enjoy their date.

I didn't understand that either. I was wondering if the interest was connected to Playboy. I didn't think she is the best looking girl there, but I'm glad Tanner got together with someone. I like him. There is something about him that seems young and old at the same time

He was a favorite of mine and so was Cupcake Chris. Tanner has a great sense of humor. He was really funny at Kaitlyn's wake.

First of all - to say she was in Playboy is a huge elevation of the truth. Playboy is classy and has "some" standards. Certain body parts are never shown.
Jade was in a trashy porn mag and video. EVERYTHING was shown and shown again.
It always bothers me when it is said that she was in Playboy.

I did think they used the word Playboy in the Bachelorette. I didn't delve into the modeling or porno situation Jade was in. I thought it was Playboy that they said she was in.

So were was it picked up that she was in Playboy? Did you read up on the fact that she was in a porn rag and video? I honestly don't know anything about the situation except from what was shared on the Chris Soules season. Did you see anything that she did Starz?

Online it says that she has been in 2 Playboy videos and took some pictures with them, but I don't think she was actually in the magazine.

I googled her at the beginning of Chris S's season. AT THAT TIME - the real name of the mag was available. It had "Playboy" in the multi-worded title - but was NOT the real Playboy.
Now that original title is impossible to find. All references to her "modeling career" mentions Playboy. ABC must have been busy with damage control.

Anyway - I saw the photos. I have a strong stomach and choice to look at them. They were VERY explicit. Think of a Gyn exam.
I have also seen her porn videos - for research only. They are hard core porn. She has many of them. One is a SM & BD flick. She has been doing this for a long time. The older ones were before her first boob job. Then there is one with medium sized boobs and the most recent one with bigger ones.
If you really want to see her - just search. The videos are out there.

They show everything in playboy! They just don't have their legs kicked over their heads. They keep the poses a little classier, but they do show all. Top and bottom areas.

I have no doubt that as soon as the guys knew about Jade that they were all over the place looking for her pics and video's. It says a lot about the men that they were all over her like flies on crap trying to be 'the one' she chose.

Jade has always been a mystery to me in that she acts like a shy girl but I guess looks can be deceiving. I am not a prude by any means, however, if you don't want to be judged for doing nude pics and raunchy video's then don't do them.

Exactly. I would have loved to hear more of Jade's brother's description of her. And also you can't forget about the criminal activity she engaged it. Put this all together and she doesn't exactly appear as the altogether sweet girl that some people think she is. That's why I refer to her as the 'Mystery Girl'.

They weren't terrible like she murdered someone or robbed a bank, or anything like that. lol...Her DUI was her most serious offense. She was also arrested for possession of alcohol and as a juvenile and charged with 2 counts of theft. Petty stuff in general but shows a pattern of being a 'wild stallion' like her brother described.

Here's what this says about our culture: we're still slut-shaming women.

It's Jade's body; she can do what she likes with it. As long as nobody is coercing her, she's free to express her sexuality. She didn't commit any crimes.

I don't know if she's the sweet, unassuming woman we see on our TV screens, or whether she's the wild mustang her family thinks she is. Frankly, it doesn't matter either way.

And anyway, those two descriptions aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. A woman can have many sides, many nuances. We're not all either Madonnas or whores.

From everything I've seen so far, she fully realizes that people will judge her for those videos and photos. She's probably suffered her share of slut-shaming.

Tanner has seemed quite respectful of Jade, from what we've seen so far. And while I think the men would have found the idea of dating a Playboy model irresistible, what they probably find even more irresistible is dating a normal, level-headed woman, not some of the drama queens and needy, high-maintenance, insecure women contestants this show seems to attract.
