I have bern in the hospital, broke me arm more like shattered it had tp have surgey with rods and bolts put in.....been in a lot of pain and as you can see can't type well.  I go back yo doc. next week and hope to have more feeling and hope to get back to board soon.

MP I didn't see this until today. So sorry for your misfortune. I fractured my knee some years back and had a lot of stuff put in too. Part of it snapped about 3 months later and Dr took everything out. It was the same knee that I had 2 surgeries on before for giant cell tumors. I can walk ok now, but my leg looks like railroad tracks. As long as the scars are not on my face I don't care.

Took me some time to heal, but was ok to walk in time.
I'm sure that you will be able to use your arm when it heals. 
I needed physical therapy for a while, so maybe your Dr will send you for P/t too. It speeds up the process.

When you are feeling better and can write let me know how you are doing.

Hey Shary......went to doc., he said I'm healing well but it will take about a month before I have use of the arm.......starting pt next week.  The pain sucks big time can't sleep but hey one good thing is my appetite has declined a lot so I may loose a few pounds....lol.  I'm going to try a play here but if my spelling is to much let mr know.

I know the feeling. about eating. I have e-coli and can hardly eat, but glad to lose some weight!
 
Hope that you start feeling better soon. If typing hurts you too much wait until you feel better.

I have no feeling in three of my fingers, the doc. said it will come back sure hope he's right. it's tough typing with one hand but it gives me something to do. lets hope we both get better soon.

A bit, still have pain and numbness, went to pt and he said it can take sometime before I get full use of my hand/arm.  very upsetting, but thanks for asking.
