Oh How wonderful your looking for a pup, I love it.......They say dog rescue is up big time due to the virus.....I know they have sites for a certain kind of dog someone is looking for, I'm sure you looked up Beagle rescue.com and for sure if I hear of a beagle up for adoption I sure will let you know

Thanks MP. I went through about 10 rescue groups with no luck.  Somebody told me that the Amish have dogs for sale. I'm going to look to see if they have anything on line. I inquired about the King Charles Cavalier. and when I heard the price I couldn't believe it. I applied for a beagle mix again yesterday, and hoping that I will hear from them. I bet it's easier to adopt a baby! LOL

I wish you all the luck, I think  the only good thing that came out of this virus is that so many animals have been adopted.  I will also keep my ears open my sister-in-law works with some adoption sites so I'll check with her.....she adopted 4 dogs (at different times).

I got skunked today.  I found two Cavaliers on line for low $$ compared to what they really cost. I went through many up and back emails. The one I wanted was in Pittsburgh PA. When I finally decided to buy it the person said that she/he would make the plane reservations. I said I would drive there and take the dog home in my car. She ignored me and again said she/he would make plane reservations. Meanwhile my hubby was looking through websites about these people selling dogs. It said that this site was a scam. I said once more that I wouldn't take the dog unless I drove there and got her. That was the last I heard from those people. I'm a very trusting person so I would never think of that. I was so disappointed. I spent the rest of the day sulking. It also said that the Amish was a puppy mill. I don't know where else to look.

Oh I'm so sorry, you know back when we had puppies for sale I'm talking over 15 years ago someone tried that on us.  We received a call where the voice sounded odd and they said they wanted to buy a female and that they would send a check for more then what we were asking and then asked for our email which at the time I didn't suspect anything, then when they emailed me to ship the dog to them I got worried, I told my husband this doesn't sound right and told them you come to the house give us the cash and we will give you the puppy......Never heard from them again.

So many scam's out there.  I feel so bad for you, hang in there the right puppy is out there for you

I see there are scams on both sides. What I don't understand is that I put in for about six different dogs in different places and didn't get even one. The dogs are mostly very big. I'm looking for a dog not more than 25 lbs. 
My last dog was a small beagle. I'd love another one. If I don't get a dog from a shelter, then I will just find a place to buy a dog.

Is their a shelter near you that you can go and look for yourself?  I look at it if you have to buy a dog your still rescuing him/her anyway.....like I said the right puppy is out there for you,

Ice Castles

Most of them are closed now.  I found one in NYC that has only puppies, but the prices were soooo high. I'm really looking for a dog one to two years old and they are expensive. I have about six adoption papers made out maybe one of them will come through. All for beagles. It's a wait and see game.
