They seemed mismatched to me. She didn't seem to enjoy the after the show spotlight as much as he did. I do feel sorry for the both of them.

I think Vanessa had some visa problems. Possibly if they had been able to live together in one country things may have been different. But that's just speculation, who can know what's in the minds and hearts of others.

They never seemed like a good match to me. I guess all their photo op engagements have ended so it is time to split.

I don't know if anyone saw it on ET, but they said Vanessa wasn't as interested in the limelight and that Nick wanted to live in L.A. while Vanessa wanted to be in Canada. That's the ET story.

By the way, I'm getting really tired of these 3rd party / agency composition break up memos that have all the same buzz-words and phrases as do all the other celebrity break-up announcements that get sent out to the news wires.
How in the Friggin heck do you still "love and admire" and "continue to be there for each other"....but yet, don't want to be with them...or marry that person ? ? I thought that is what marriage is supposed to be all about.....AAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Some scuttlebutt I've been reading about the split. One of the big obstacles was Vanessa's desire for a life out of the limelight whereas Nick wants to pursue a career in the public eye. I know that will be hard for many people who constantly called her a fame whore but I think it's pretty accurate. She is a rather private person. They are still in touch so there is no animosity on either side.
