Are Any of These Guys Successful?
I was looking at the occupational descriptions for the guys who are left and it seems that Jojo has a bunch of guys who don't seem that successful. Unless they are independently wealthy, I don't think that many of these guys are making good money. Jordan, Luke, and Robby are listed as former somethings which leads me to believe that they are not presently doing anything of interest. James is a songwriter which translates to broke...Alex is a marine and I think they make peanuts as well.
Chase is the only one who seems to have a somewhat successful career...although medical sales rep is pretty vague and probably stands for customer service rep.
And what does Jojo do? She never talks about her work.

JoJo has a wealthy family... Not sure she had a formal occupation. I thought Jordan did some type of Sports broadcasting. Luke was working on farm and modeling?

Re: Are Any of These Guys Successful?
I remember that her family seemed quite well off from Ben's season. Which is even more reason why I see her eventually settling down with someone who has better earning potential.
But she is only 25 so I think that's the perfect time to be dating pretty male models and former quarterbacks.

Re: Are Any of These Guys Successful?
TPTB very seldom put down the actual occupations of the contestants. I am really not sure what Jordan does in real life and I don't think he has played professional football for quite a while now. I don't know if Alex is full time marine or not now - it just doesn't seem to me that the marines would allow someone to toke this much time off for a reality tv show if he was a full time marine but I could be wrong. Luke has done several different things since he got out of the Army. He has a band and is a singer/song writer and has several songs on his site. I'm not sure what Robby does though I thought I heard he taught swimming or something like that. So what these contestants actually do is not part of the bio that is put up on the bachelorette website as far as I know.

It says JoJo is a real estate developer.

Re: Are Any of These Guys Successful?
Yes whatever that means and she is only 25 so I don't know much experience she could have as a real estate developer. Here is the definition of real estate developer I got from googling it:Glittersisgld wrote:It says JoJo is a real estate developer.
Real estate development, or property development, is a multifaceted business process, encompassing activities that range from the renovation and re-lease of existing buildings to the purchase of raw land and the sale of developed land or parcels to others.

Real estate developers acquire property upon which they plan to develop their real estate projects, whether for commercial or residential purposes. These two broad categories encompass everything from retail, office and industrial development to single- and multi-family homes.[/size]
I just have a hard time picturing JoJo in this profession but then what do I know?

Re: Are Any of These Guys Successful?
Well, her family has a lot of money so maybe that has something to do with it, and also there seems to be a lot of people in different aspects of real estate. I don't know if maybe that is a good career to get into.

Re: Are Any of These Guys Successful?
You're right about these guys. I think they are all wannabes. Jordan is a life coach, which doesn't mean much to me. Sounds like he teaches people how to eat healthy foods. He has ambitions of having a breakfast burrito food truck. This week, he reminded me of fake Jake Pukvelka. They all seem unemployed and just floating for now. JoJo's father is a doctor, gastroenterologist. Remember from last season, the house where her parents lived looked like a mansion. Her mother is a doctor too, PhD nurse practitioner. Her mother is Iranian and comes from a wealthy family.

Jordan is the wealthiest of all the guys. His short-lived football career
left him with a net worth of $1.5 million; enough to maintain that mansion.

Yeah I am pretty sure that they are all in the category of doing nothing with their lives and hoping they can ride the bach train for a while. Most of their energy seems to be put into doing their hair and coordinating their outfits.
Net worth of 1.5 mil isn't that bad. I wonder if he is spending any time growing that...

I think most of them are professional losers right now. Hopefully they will grow up to be something worthwhile. JMO

There are plenty of people who have money who are losers anyway. Having a lot of money doesn't make you a great person. You can't just go by that.

Re: Are Any of These Guys Successful?
I totally agree with what you said. Many people who are wealthy are the biggest jerks around but they get away with it because they have money. It doesn't mean he/she is nice or a decent person. It doesn't mean he/she will make a good spouse or parent either.Glittersisgld wrote:There are plenty of people who have money who are losers anyway. I wasn't necessarily talking about money. Only a career, whatever that may be.

Re: Are Any of These Guys Successful?
I can answer some of that - Derek has a VP position with the bank he is with and has a net worth of $2.3 million, Evan is involved in several clinics and has a net worth of $1.7 million. Luke has his own band and is a singer/song writer and does both private and public concerts (both before and after the bachelorette) plus he had already published an album prior to going on the bachelorette . James Taylor is also a singer/song writer and also does concerts and since the bachelorette has been doing some concerts with Luke. They both had their own careers and fans before bachelorette but probably have a lot more fans now. Vinnie has his own barber shop. James Fuertes also has his own business (I think it has something to do with fitness/boxing). Most of these guys did have careers.

Speaking of outfits, did anyone else noticed the slacks at the RC? Skin tight. Is this the style now? Ew. They looked like stick figures. I think Jordan was the worst fit. Tight jeans are one thing, but suit pants? Nah. I wonder if the clothing belongs to the guys or if the Bach has a one-size-fits-all wardrobe department.

Yes singly it looks like we are back to the skinny jeans - reminds me of Jef IF from Emily's season. I think it's a step backwards but maybe that is just my age.singlyme wrote:DoubleDS10 wrote:Yeah I am pretty sure that they are all in the category of doing nothing with their lives and hoping they can ride the bach train for a while. Skinny jeans, I can handle. Perhaps it's MY age (lol), but seeing chicken-legs and bowed-legs in suit pants just isn't attractive to me. On Soule's season, they wore jackets that looked too small. I miss the old sense of elegance. To me, they just look tacky.

Totally agree. They look ridiculous standing next to the perfectly attired Jo Jo.
Would love to see them dressed in a Brooks Brothers or Armani suit!

Slim cut pants have been in for dudes for a while now...especially slim cut suit pants. I think most of the men that I see around in suits are sporting the skinny pant look. I don't mind it actually.singlyme wrote:DoubleDS10 wrote:Yeah I am pretty sure that they are all in the category of doing nothing with their lives and hoping they can ride the bach train for a while. I didn't notice it at the rose ceremony. but I sure noticed it on Luke when he was meeting up with JoJo. He has super skinny legs and he is really bow legged. It sure didn't look good on him.singlyme wrote:Skinny jeans, I can handle. Perhaps it's MY age (lol), but seeing chicken-legs and bowed-legs in suit pants just isn't attractive to me. Back in the good old days there were some guys who could rock the skinny pants look.

Hey DoubleD; you need to get a pair of JoJo's Skinny Jeans and those Knee-Hi black boots she was rocking; you'd look bangin' like that
