I have to say that I thought having brains gets you somewhere....that is until this new season of Survivor Cagayan.

My big question is why, oh why did they ever hold onto J'Tia? If it was up to me she would have been gone as soon as she dumped the rice....I wouldn't have even given her the chance to lose all those challenges for them. And the REALLY scarey part? She's a NUCLEAR ENGINEER.

Not crazy about Morgan from the Beauty Tribe either. I can't stand women that think their looks get them everywhere in life. That whole conversation by the "beauties" about the chickens was about as dumb as you can get. lol

The jury is still out for me with Tony, the cop from the Brawn Tribe. He seems pretty sleazy for a cop.

I totally agree with you on J'Tia and I was holding my breath this last tribal council that they would keep her again.  Besides dumping the rice she was worthless on the challenges so why they kept her as long as they did is beyond me.  I would have voted her out the first night.  What a disaster she was even from the very start with the shelter building.  No

Forgot to post last week but was shocked at the blindside of Cliff. Didn't see that coming as I'm sure he didn't either.

This week was surprised that Lindsey quit the game after Cliff was eliminated. I understand that her and Trish didn't get along but to quit over it was just crazy. What was odd was that Lindsey told Jeff that Trish pretty much verbally attacked her when they got back from tribal counsel but from where I was sitting it was the other way around. If your going to go at it over personality differences, take the high road and leave nasty comments about peoples looks out of it. Lindsey was hitting below the belt and blamed the attack on Trish and that wasn't right. Lindsey was a bit of a bully and I'm glad she's gone.

That move that Tony made during the camp raid might have been a very strategic move but was mean all the same. The one where he threw Jeremiah under the bus with the fake hidden immunity clue. I really worry about that guy being a cop. jeez...

I didn't post last week because my favorite was blindsided and got sent packing.  Now I don't like LG either so there is really nobody that I am really pulling for other than maybe Jeremiah and Woo.

You are right they did throw Jeremiah under the bus with the fake hidden immunity clue and I was afraid that it might have worked but was glad that the tribal council went the way it did.  Alexis was out to get Jeremiah but then there is nothing to say that Jeremiah will be safe the next time.

I do not like Tony at all and am glad he's not a cop in my neck of the woods!  He is one shady guy and I wonder if he is a clean cop or a dirty cop.  I also do not like Trish.

Well I do believe I would have rather seen Tony get sent home last night but she was really being over the top so if it wasn't Tony I'm glad that it was her.  That was the strangest use of immunity idols I have ever seen.  Next week should be interesting.

I'm glad the immunity idols were flushed out for Tony and LJ.  And I'm SO glad Spencer has the new one.  He's the one I'm rooting for.

I have no idea what Cass is thinking by going along with eliminating all the females.  With Sarah, I could understand it.  But why not get rid of the stronger guys like Tony now?  I was expecting her to stay partnered with Spencer to guide their alliance to the end.  That went up in smoke.

This season is a tad confusing when trying to determine who will stick together.  But, so far, I'm liking it.

I'm with you singlyme ~ I was hoping Tony would go home last night but at least he doesn't have an immunity idol to fall back on now.  I like Spencer, Jeremiah and Woo now since Cliff got blindsided early on.  Because of that I do not like Trish or LJ.  I have not understood some of the eliminations early on either.  I don't know what the "Brains" were doing in voting off the stronger men early when they needed them to win challenges.  I could understand why Sarah got voted off last week though.

I agree that it's hard to figure out who is going to go along with who for more than one tribal council.  So much for forming and staying with an alliance.

Last week I was glad Sarah went home because she was getting a little too cocky about having all the power. You should never do that in this game. She should have learned a lesson from Alexis who thought she had it in the bag and left bawling her eyes out. I am surprised that almost every week has been a blindside.

I am glad this week they got rid of Morgan just for the simple fact that she is annoying as hell. Lazy as sin at camp and thinks she's better and prettier than everyone else. What a waste of oxygen. It was pretty funny when Jefra, one of the other team beauty wrote on her card "Queen Morgan" with a crown.

I'm glad that Spencer ended up finding that idol because as much as I liked Woo, what he did last night was WRONG! If he came up to where Spencer was and started looking for the idol with him, that is fine. I've seen people do that before. But to come up and pick up his pants, throw them in the water and just out and out STEAL it and take it back to camp and announce it was just devious. I lost a bit of respect for him last night.

I thought I liked Kass in the beginning too but I'm not much liking her lately. She might think it's smart but she 's playing a dangerous  game going back and forth between alliances like that. She's going to piss too many people off and she'll be gone. She really isn't playing a smart game right now. She's voting off people that have pissed her off and that's not the smartest way to play it. She turned out to be devious but what do you expect form an attorney? LOL

Tony, he's got to go. He is such a wild card. He's the most devious one there which is scary because he's a cop! I was also glad to see LJ and Tony use their immunity idols last week when they didn't have to. That was hysterical!

OMG I missed part of the show last night and did not see Woo do that!  Well now I'm down to Jeremiah and Spencer.  I will have to go on line and watch that part.  I was having problems with my TV  reception last night for some reason, but that happens when you do not have cable. Crying or Very sad

I just deleted my entire post.  UGH!  SO.....

rkc, I agree with all you wrote.  I think it's stupid to vote off all the females, annoying or not.  And Wu's actions were a complete turn-off to me, as well.  I haven't spoken with my grandson yet, but I'm sure he'll applaud the dirty-dealing.  When it comes to Survivor, he insists this is the way to win the game.  He tells me that if he were to play, I wouldn't recognize him.

Tony appears to be coated with Teflon.  And I'm SO glad Spencer found that idol.  He doesn't seem to be a target yet, but the day will come.  I'm at a loss as to Spencer's alliance.  I may not even be aware of the names of some of the people still under the radar.

Tony, LJ, Trish, Jefra, Jeremy(iah?), Wu

Spencer, Tasha, ?, ?

Who am I missing?

Unless Spencer keeps winning immunity, he'll be gone.  There's no one else I'd root for.  I don't know what kind of game Cass is playing but unless I'm wrong, her strategy will end up backfiring.

Can't you just see Tony the cop planting evidence?  I hope this lying and deceit doesn't win it for him.  Wondering if Woo will be his next target - or if he'll be aiming at Spencer and Jeremiah.  I'm hoping there will be some second thoughts from his alliance about the way they ousted LJ.  They were so easily manipulated.

At least Spencer has another week.  I'd love to see him win.

It's not looking good for Spencer.  Darn!  Teflon Tony wins again.  I'm really sick of this slick, fast-talking con man.  If Spencer goes, I'm cashing in my chips and leaving the casino.  There's no one else I care about.

I used to be all about finishing what I started.  When it comes to television, I've given up this character trait.  As soon as I get bored or frustrated, I dump a show without reservation.

And what was up with that second immunity idol?  Did I miss a clue that there was another one to be found?  I thought Tony was looking for the one Spencer found at the creek bank.  If so, he lives a magical life.  I hope his luck runs out next week.

Well I am about to throw in the towel on this season, it is looking more and more like Tony is going to win.  I did not like seeing Jeremiah getting the boot last night.  If Spencer doesn't win the immunity challenge next week I think he is gone as well and I will quit watching it.

I don't know what was going on about a second immunity idol with Tony.  He said that what he had was a fake one last night but whether that means he still has a real one I don't know.  I don't trust anything that comes out of his mouth. No

They showed him "finding" the idol and kissing it, so it must be real.  But I don't recall there ever being a clue about a second idol.  Tony strikes me as a character we'd see as a dirty cop in a tv series.  He's underhanded and slimy.

I guess we can only hope the tides turn and Spencer gets immunity.  Didn't he use his idol this week?

Yes, Spencer did use his immunity idol this week, and the shame of it is that he didn't have to.

I agree with you, singly on what you've said about Tony. I definitely could see the sleazy cop planting evidence. He is really making me sick to my stomach. They would be smart to get rid of him whether they are in an alliance with him or not. I would like to think that if he is being so deceitful that people wouldn't vote for him to win but knowing how this show works he would probably win anyway. What makes me sick too is that Spencer said Tony told a lie and swore on his family that he was telling the truth. Who does that? What a sick individual.

My daughter straightened me out about the second idol.  One was a regular idol, the second the "special" one, which is what Tony found.  Apparently, it can be used after the vote is read.  Maybe we'll get lucky and Woo will steal it from him when he isn't looking.  Personally, I'd love to see him reach into that bag and find that it's gone.  LOL

I think you and I are on the same page with the deceit, rkc.  I hate seeing this kind of behavior being promoted as a means to win anything.  As in much of what we see today, we get no "moral of the story."

You can count me in on being on the same page with deceit issue with Tony.  I think he is right up there with the worst in that category that have been on this show.  I don't understand how those gals keep going along with him and if they trust him at all they are going to be really sorry.  If Spencer doesn't win the immunity idol this week I'm sure he will be gone and I will be through watching it.  I hate what you said about the special idol because being Tony has it he is safe as long as he doesn't have to use it.  Yuck

I hear you, sla.  It's disgusting to see how many of these reality shows make it a point to feature the most dispicable of the participating characters.  It's sad to read a forum and see how many in today's society are entertained by the behavior - and actually support it.  They watch for the drama it brings.

Consider Abby Lee's Dance Moms.  Why would anyone watch a woman inflict mental and emotional damage on the little girls she teaches?  Yet she apparently is a popular bully.  I tuned out after only a few episodes.  I'm finding more and more, especially in the last year or two, that my purest form of protest is to turn it off.  As long as people watch this garbage, they'll continue to air it - and come up with even greater examples of dishonesty, cruelty and immorality.

I'm no prude or a self-righteous person.  I've done plenty, but my integrity and honesty is important to me.  I hate that our young are being exposed and swayed by what they view on tv.  The media is sending mixed messages.  Don't bully - but watch someone win by doing it on tv.

Everything inside me wants to see Tony take a hard fall.

Seems the only way they could get rid of Tony now is to ban together and try to vote him out, let him use his "special" idol to save himself. Then the next tribal counsel do it again and get him out of there.....but unfortunately you have too many idiots still there that act like they trust this piece of garbage. He needs to go any way they can get him out of there. If he goes to the end and wins I may reconsider watching this show anymore. I hate seeing people rewarded for being scum.

Yay, Spencer!  I held my breath when they went to council.  Thank heaven Tony's paranoia won out.

Two idols now?  Gimme a break.  I felt sure Spence would have the black stone. Couldn't believe it when Tony had it. * sigh * He has unbelievable luck.

The previews make it look like even Trish and Woo are ready to turn on him.  But he'll get a free ride with the "special" idol, even if they try to blindside him.  Once he knows they're out to get him, he'll start double-talking again.  Are they stupid enough to keep falling for it?  Next week, even his best bud, Woo, may be ready to jump his ship.

Problem is, they'll have to repeatedly hammer Tony.  I hope they can get away with it and he doesn't win immunity on top of every other advantage he has right now.

I can't believe the incredible luck Tony has either - when he opened his hand with that black stone in it I almost switched channels.  Can't Spencer ever get a break?  Although he did last night at Tribal Council.

It will be interesting to see what happens next week.  It took them too long to realize that they need to get rid of Tony - he has too much armor on his side now with that special idol and the 2nd one.  It should be a good one next week - I only hope that Spencer will finally win the immunity challenge so I don't have to worry about him getting voted off.

Tony gives one pause for thought when it comes to the integrity of our police forces.  Yet, he's the type of character they feature on these shows.

If he ends up in the finale, I wonder what criteria the jury will use in their votes.  Will they say he played the best game?  Or will he have left too many sour grapes behind him?
