Did Kaitlyn apologize to Nick for having him propose to her?

What was that about, did the producers make her do that?

I'm glad she chose Shawn. Nick seems to intelligent for her ultimately. Shawn will look up to her. Nick would start to find her irritating, and visa versa after a few months.

Nick seems much more over her, than he was with Andi. Is this just good acting? was he just more raw with Andi? Or was he more in love with Andi?

It's kind of strange.

She did stop him before he got down on one knee, but not before he took the ring out of his pocket. Similar to Deanna and Jason, except I think Jason actually was already down on one knee.

I truly think she saw good things in both of them and had feelings for both, and was really conflicted....unlike some of the other leads of the past.

I also think Nick knew, or was told, not to repeat the type of performance he gave on Andi's ATFR. Since there was no sex-gate, so to speak, there was nothing shocking he could say.

I really wondered if she didn't know herself until he started to pull the ring out. LOL However, I'm sure she has to tell the producers which one is "the one" so they know what's going to happen while filming. She did apologize. I get that fans want the one not chosen to be taken aside etc however the premise of the show started on the fact that each would propose (possibly anyway) and only one would get the "yes".

This is kind of an interesting point. Did anyone else hear what was said on their LCD when Nick said something about how his feelings were so much more involved with Kaitlyn then with Andi? It wasn't exactly in those words but something to that effect. He said that but yet he seems to forget that we all saw on Andi's season how even after it was over he still tried to contact her and get her back. When she didn't bite he outed her on national television. He seemed really depressed on Andi's ATFR. I'm thinking that maybe he purposely acted different last night since he caught so much flack last time.

For one thing, they have to know who is arriving first.

I think if she apologized then he felt better about it.

She looked so mad when Nick started talking about their contacts before the show. She likely wants to protect Shawn at this point.

I can't see Kaitlyn with Nick for the long run, but I can see her with Shawn for the long haul. I don't know if it will last, but they seem much more similar to each other, than Kaitlyn and Nick.

I do think that Nick will make some woman very happy.

When Nick was talking with Kaitlyn's Mom he said that he had an emotional and mental connection with Kaitlyn. If he thought she was surface level I don't think he would have used the term 'mental connection'.

During his conversation with her Dad he said that she was bold and brave which is a quality he has been holding out for all of these years. It didn't sound like he was describing someone that he would have become bored with over time. If anything Nick has been the one having trouble holding onto a girl so I'm thinking she might have grown tired of him for whatever reason that other girls have. Just my opinion.

Yes, that's true. It's hard to read people on these shows, because too much is packaged. But falling in love, and staying in love are two different things. It's impossible to tell how intelligent any of these contestants are, and there are many different kinds of intelligence, but at the very end when Nick said something about his love not being just a moment, made me realize that he's pretty damn smart. I think he would do better with someone who was more intellectual than Kaitlyn. I don't really think one should go searching for ones love in the reality world dating pool. But I would guess Sharlene from JP's season would have been a better match.

I do think that Shawn and Kaitlyn are a good match on some levels. I think that they have both similar levels of education etc. Neither seems to overthink things. It's hard to know, because they don't yet know each other. They look a little alike, which can sometimes be attractive to them.

Kaitlyn strikes me as someone who is trying to get into show business, and this might be her vehicle. It's a terrible vehicle for most, but these people keep trying it.

Holding out? Wasn't he in love with Andi just last 'Ette season?

Exactly my thought, WW. Andi could definitely be described as 'bold and brave' but she obviously didn't want him. This season he had made a few statements on the show that could be considered digs at Andi. It made me think that maybe he still isn't completely over that and maybe part of why he went on Kaitlyn's season is to use it as a vehicle to publicly try to get under Andi's skin.

I don't think that anyone should try to find actual love on this type of show because it is very rare that it happens. I don't have a tendency to agree with much of what Ali Fedotowsky says but I do agree with her when she said that at the end of this show you aren't actually in love with anyone. You normally have the choice of one that you think you could be in love with in time or one that may be a safer choice. If love happens it usually happens after the show is over. That's why they have such a high failure rate. With that being said, I do realize that Kaitlyn and Nick had some sort of relationship before her season started filming but it may have been more of a fling that Kaitlyn had in mind in comparison to Nick wanting more than that. He seems to fall very quickly and turns moody when it ends.

As to Sharlene from JP's season, she was a special kind of intelligent, classy, refined sort of girl that you normally don't see on this show. She is in a different class than Nick from what I have seen, in my opinion.

I am not certain why you guys think Nick is intelligent or at least too intelligent for Kaitlyn. If they gave him an I. Q. test I missed it, and his behavior and often cluelessness belies great intelligence. Did Nick say that he was?

I said this before but Kaitlyn and Shawn showed a mean streak when they were laughing at Nick's proposal and throwing the ring. I knew that Shawn wasn't the nicest person but I was surprised at how mean and apathetic Kaitlyn seemed toward Nick's rejection. She is a total phony with her constant crying. It's obvious now that she couldn't care less about how Nick felt. I also think that she didn't care at all about the feelings of other guys who went home. What a phony she is! I didn't quite believe her sincerity when she was crying for all of those guys but now I know for sure how insincere she really is.

Yes, there are many types of intelligence, and he's not emotionally intelligent. But he's well-spoken, and an executive at Salesforce. Salesforce is very complicated, and one must have a level of intelligence to work there. Of topic, I just googled Nick, what I didn't realize is that he is a pretty amazing runner, he set a record for speed at his University, and he won state in the 800 meter run.

I agree, there is something a bit mean about Kaitlyn, but most people that know her well, find it forgivable. It's the edge of mean, but she doesn't tend to offend people the way I would think she would. I guess they understand her humor better than I do.
