Jared is the name of a jewelry store. You haven't seen those commercials with a newly-engaged woman showing off her diamond to friends and one of them saying "He went to Jared!"?

That's because the people in the commercials act like idiots.

Doesn't the current usage of "bombshell" denote revelation or surprise? (Aside from a voluptuous woman) Could be that mysterious letter. This should be good.

We may start thinking of "bombshell" in a completely different context.

I didn't either, but my engagement ring came from Jared's in Atlanta, and he purchased the life time service plan. They said it could be serviced by Kay, because we didn't have a Jared's where we lived at the time. Said they owned Kay. I brought it to Kay for 6 years, for it's yearly inspection, until we got a Jared's here a few months ago.

Best moment ever was when Sean's little nephew said "Emily didn't pick you!" That had me cracking up!!!!!
