Breaking Up Is Hard To Do Empty Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

Post by Buckeye Belle Mon Mar 04, 2013 10:09 pm

Remember how Ashley refused Ben's proposal? Evil or Very Mad

Remember how Jillian said good-bye to Reid? Twice? Sad

Remember how Ali let Chris go? Pale

Does anyone go back as far as Alex and Trista? Or Trista and Charlie??

Then there's Jason and Melissa and Molly . . . :face:

And now we have Sean and AshLee, not to mention either Catherine or Lindsay.

What's the best way to tell someone they're not going any farther in your life?

What do you think about any of the breakup scenes listed, or any others from the Bach world that are memorable for you? Do you think there should be any rules or etiquette? How does the modern era of social media fit in? OK, you can post about Kim K and Kris if you must, but I promise to laugh!

Have at it! I'll be back for a couple (pun unavoidable) myself.

Do you think "It's not your fault, it's mine" isn't going to get the job done? Wink

Good question, WW! That's probably the least controversial, but I don't remember its being used in any Bach scenes--uh, probably because it's the least controversial? Laughing

The reason I think this is fascinating is because we have no way of knowing for sure how much of the parting scene is the natural speech/behavior of the participants/contestants, and how much is the creative product of the production staff.

And then we always have the old, "It's not what you said; it's how you said it."

I suspect the answer to any similar question is it "is the creative product of the production staff."

Ha ha! That being the case, it's even more interesting to see how the "characters" explain their way out of what "the devil" made them do!

I think that the most memorable break up (for me) is when Travis Stork told Moana Dixon she was not the one. It's not the best video, but it's the only one I could find to show you. I noticed that even before Travis broke the news, we could hear the cryptic music playing. I remember you could hear Moana's heart beating so fast up against the microphone on Travis. This break up really broke MY heart. This is my least favorite part of the show, and although I am looking forward tomorrow night, I also dread the F2 breakup.

Ok, I can't post the video but you can google it. Travis Stork and Moana Dixon and click video.

There really is no easy way to break up with someone, under any circumstances.

I don't know whether to thank you or not for reminding us of this tear jerker! I'm with you on looking forward to tomorrow night but I am dreading this part of tomorrow night. I really like both of this girls and do not want to see either of them get hurt even though I know one of them has to - it will be hard for me to watch!

That is the correct video Bach98133 - thanks for posting it!

Yes Bach, this is the video! Thank you for posting it!!! It's definitely a break up that stands out in my mind. Another one that was really, really hard for me to watch was when Ali let Chris go. I think I cried the most for that one, but it certainly worked out for the best for Chris. I like to think that although it's heartbreaking for the F2, there is a reason unbeknownst to them that it wasn't meant to be.

Yes ATN the one with Chris was really hard for me too because he was my favorite bachelor of all time and following that was when Emily dumped Sean who is right up there with Chris as far as classy bachelors - true gentlemen! Even though Sean wasn't in the final two I just thought that was so hard to watch and really rather cold and cruel the way it was done - enough said there!

I think the most memorable one for me is when Ali let Chris go before the RC I thought she handled him with class and did not want him to go through the FR knowing she was picking Roberto. I am so happy for him now that he did find his soulmate in Peyton.

I am looking forward to tomorrow night but I really think it's going to be a tearjerker. They are both just really nice girls. It's not only going to be difficult watching one get hurt, but I think Sean is truly a caring person and this is going to be so hard for him, and we are going to see how painful it is for him as well. I do think however, that for the one who goes, as hurt as she is, she will leave with dignity and grace. Sad
