I am really enjoying their love story!   

I wish I could find a guy like Kevin! He is so understanding & supportive of Laura.

Genie Francis has really changed the character of Laura this time around.  She is so strong and capable. I love her & Kevin together.  I wish they could bring Spencer back & raise him in Port Chuck.  But Nicolas Bechtel has other jobs so who knows if & when that could happen.  But my fingers are crossed anyway.  LOL

I will be glad when Prince Nik returns.  At this point, I would accept a recast, if Tyler can't/won't return. I have always loved Tyler Christopher as Nik but the story line dictates that Nikolas Cassadine must return in order for other story lines to move forward.

Two mature people having a loving relationship is very
rare on G H. Felicia and Mac are too silly for their ages
as are Lucy and Scottie and Alexis is too messed up by Julian to appreciate the nice, mature doctor.
 Ava keeps ruining younger guys and Nina is still desperate for a child. Kevin is better with
Laura than with Lucy.

It is nice to see "a mature" relationship for once, I'm enjoying Laura & Kevin's love story.

It looks like Laura’s mom, Dr. Lesley Webber, is headed back to General Hospital (GH) as actress Denise Alexander makes a return engagement to the show.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Lesley Webber will be around for the holiday season, her first appearance since 2013.

She’s certainly needed in Port Charles. After all, daughter Laura (Genie Francis) is planning to wed the new man in her life, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).
Also, granddaughter Lulu (Emme Rylan) has a new daughter, Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), whom she has yet to meet.


During Lesley’s time away, beloved grandson Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) was supposedly shot and killed, falling out of a window.
It would be nice to see his family remember him and mourn their first holiday without him.

I like the holiday shows that bring together generations of families , characters, and actors

In Port Charles family members overlap. (Sonny's children with different Moms, the Q's and Davis girls,
Carly and Bobbie, Laura, LuLu and Nik bring the 
Cassadines in.) They should just have holiday celebrations at the Metro Court and invite everyone.

I remember Laura since even before the David Hamilton days,,
this is a slap in the face to us, and to the woman who portrays such a legendary character...
Genie will be so greatly missed.  


Stunner: Genie Francis dropped from General Hospital

One of General Hospital's most beloved characters has been dropped to recurring status.

It's a decision that will not sit well with General Hospital fans:
Emmy winner and daytime icon Genie Francis (Laura Collins) is out at General Hospital.

Show sources tell soapcentral.com that Francis was informed in late 2017 that she would be dropped to recurring status in 2018 -- and that executive producer Frank Valentini wanted Francis to appear in only about a dozen or so episodes.
Francis was said to be devastated by the decision and reportedly refused to agree to appear so infrequently.


If Francis was blindsided by the decision, the show's writers were surprised, as well.

The writing team had planned a long-term storyline with Laura running for mayor of Port Charles.
That storyline had to be abruptly altered when the decision was made to drop Francis from contract status.

There are several rumors making the Internet rounds about exactly why the show felt that Francis needed to be demoted,
but soapcentral.com has not yet been able to independently confirm any of those rumors.

I am in shock!    but this explains the abrupt turn of plot on Friday... I kept thinking I missed an episode - suddenly Laura is talking about a problem with Spencer... broken legs... and she is leaving for weeks!  WTF!?!?!??!    Just when I am enjoying her so much...  and happy at how they allowed her character to develop.   I feel an angry email  to ABC coming on.

And yet they keep the actress who plays Ava....a most disgusting character
