Peter August Question

I must have missed something, maybe on one of the shows that got lost due to "breaking news"....   but could someone explain how Peter August got off with no jail time...or taken away by the WSB?    I thought he was under arrest... that Robert Scorpio was going to take him away. the last thing I remember is him still in a hospital bed.   I was sort of shocked by seeing him, I think on Friday's episode, free as a bird.  Thanks in advance for your insights.

Robert let Peter off the charges (on a short leash because he can reinstate the charges at any time) because

Peter had some information to trade about Patients 1 -5 who were kept in the Russian clinic with Patient 6 (Jason).

Whatever happened with that I haven't heard a word about patients 1 - 5, maybe Robert is to busy looking for Ana & Finn.

not sure how that makes any sense, this twin stuff is starting to drive me crazy...
