Geraldo and Edyta

Props to Geraldo for having some fun with a moment that was an embarrassment for him years ago, but I agree that he didn't do a lot of dancing.  It will be interesting to see if they survive elimination next week.

Geraldo is the only thing of any interest to me this season.  And he was dreadful.  He should not have gone on the show.  Looks ridiculous.

Even Edyta can only take him so far. I was seeing flashbacks of Master P and Kate Goselin.

Geraldo was seriously painful to watch.  I am actually glad he was eliminated.

I agree.  And the Donald Trump thing was stupid.  Over all I think Geraldo made a total fool of himself and I am just glad to see him go.  He has been for sure struggling with his career in recent years and lost his radio show several months ago.  But making the "celebrity" reality TV circuit is just a bad idea for someone who wants to be counted as a serious journalist.  (that he may never have been one is another matter.  It is how he wants to be perceived).

Geraldo has been a reporter for years.  He is actually a lawyer, but I do not think he ever practiced.  He had a huge break in the early 70s when he did an expose on the mistreatment of intellectually disabled kids at Willowbrook which was a state facility here in NY.  Willowbrook was closed as a result and Geraldo became famous.

Since then he has had a bunch of tv and radio talk shows -- all news based.  he was a war correspondent for Fox News, making repeated trips to Iraq as an embedded reporter.  He is a fixture on the NY social scene as well.

He was fired from his last radio gig , although he is still on Fox tv with his own show and lots of guest appearances.  He went on Trump's Celebrity Apprentice last year I think.
