(Leslie Charleson) been replaced??? Is she ill? She has been one of my favorites for so many years. Hope she's OK.

Viewers had to blink their eyes a few times on Monday’s General Hospital (GH) when Patty McCormack was suddenly playing the role of Monica Quartermaine, a character played by Leslie Charleson for more than 40 years.
As Soap Hub reported last month, Charleson injured her leg one morning walking her dog and the injury was so severe she couldn’t work and had to be temporarily replaced for scenes that had already been written.
After McCormack began airing this week, Charleson tweeted a message to fans and it looks like we’ll be seeing her as Monica again sooner rather than later.
“Thank you all so much for your continued well wishes,” she said. “I’m happy to say I’m on the mend and will be back in the saddle again soon!”

Glad to know what happened and that she is coming back. Anna Lee (Lila Q) was a good example. She worked from a wheelchair for many years.

Please HURRY Back Leslie (Monica) - this new gal is a bomb! Nobody could replace you and they portrayed her as being even "meaner", than you. Not liking her and especially disenchanted with "taking Carly down", from the liar and twit, that is bamboozling most of PC! How quickly they forget ALL her lies and what she had inflicted upon Carly and Sonny! Now even Michael is caving, and I'm finding him very annoying, especially if he sides with that twit over his Mom, who he of all people should know, would never hurt a child whether living or unborn yet! Have watched Leslie as Monica for longer than I care to admit..thru her affairs and cancer and raising Jason along with A J..losing Alan..dealing with Tracy...taking care of Edward and Lila..And having grandchildren and now great grandchildren...All while being a doctor and head of the hospital...(She needed the rest. Although not the injury) Glad she will be back soon...

I even remember way back to the original Monica and when LC was brought on as a recast -- and now all these years later, she's become an icon.
I'm really glad she's healed enough to return to GH
