Did the writers

and TPTB forget that Laura and Kevin are married?
Spencer should be healing by now.  Ned is mayor.
Kevin was supposed to stay behind and deal with
his patients while Laura was away.
Shouldn't someone...anyone....ask him how Spencer
is doing?  Or when will Laura be home? Or will he
join her and Spencer?
Shouldn't he receive 'phone calls' from her occasionally?
They are newlyweds, after all.
(Yes, I know she's gone gone and dead to TPTB)
But the people who watch the show, and have since
Laura was a teenager, would like for her to be mentioned
once in awhile.

I second that. In addition, to not having shown a scene or even a mention of Laura during the 55th celebration was positively criminal. The writers had Kevin with his ex-wife Lucy the whole time. It was just wrong.

I agree. It is wrong.  Genie Francis should be treated better. Laura is a core character at the heart of GH. It was a slap in her face not to include flashbacks of her for the 55th Anniversary  celebration.   Do TPTB forget that the wedding of Luke & Laura was the highest rated hour in Soap history? WTH?

I am angry that we are being robbed of some great scenes between Laura and Kevin, enjoying their new marriage. They are so cute together, yet very strong and smart. I am also mad that Laura isn't the mayor.  I love Ned and all, but Laura would have been a force to be dealt with as Mayor. Genie Francis deserves to be honored, not cast aside & not even mentioned on GH.

Yeah well I guess they went a different way after all I don't think that Genie is coming back any time soon so yeah also I think they are trying to screw up Kevin too

IMO they blew it......I was so looking forward to the race for Mayor between her and Ned, it could have been so much fun to watch.  Genie is one of the most beloved and historical characters on this show and they are treating her like garbage.  Wouldn't surprise me if the told them to ---- off if they asked her to come back.
