Nightmare * 4/27 Thursday's show*
I hope this comes back to bite somebody, because I think it was a HUGE mistake.

Fans Calling For Writers’ Heads - Did General Hospital Go Too Far Today?
General Hospital fans are screaming their outrage on social media over the violent Jason and Jake scenes today where Jason choked his son while Jake begged him to stop and struggled against his much stronger father.
This can’t have been a pleasant scene for either actor to film – Billy Miller or little Hudson West – and for fans watching,
it was monstrously destructive to a character many love.
One fan tweeted to GH showrunners Frank Valentini and Nathan Varni, as well as co-writers Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman,
“I’m disgusted. You people are all filth.”
Comments on that tweet turned into a stream of anger and frustration with the writers not only for putting a child actor into that circumstance but also for how this storyline has misaligned a legacy character beloved by fans.

I didn't see it but from what I saw above and the recent storylines I'm not surprised by the out cry for new writer's.

I can see both sides of this posting.
I personally did not take the scenes in a bad way. I have had nightmares about stuff I would never do in real life.

I was a bit surprised at the scene and even played it back to make sure i was seeing what i thought i was seeing since it caught me off guard and was unusual for a soap but we've all seen it before on regular night time dramas and movies so i wasnt shocked or outraged like some viewers apparently were. I think those fans that sent nasty tweets went over board with their criticism - it wasnt that big of a deal.

Eventhough that scene was hard for me to watch, I think it is exagerated to ask for the writers to be fired. I didn't like seeing that but I understand it's a nightmare.
I still think about the horrible scene of Paul's hands around Sabrina's neck strangling her while she was begging him to not kill her. I would have loved for that to have been a nightmare.
Back to Jason's nightmare, if I was writing this stuff, I would have had a scene where Jason is sleeping , he is agitated, Sam is in bed besides him, she notices Jason's is sweaty, he starts screaming and wakes up suddenly, he looks horrified, Sam asks him and he tells her he had a nightmare, he was strangling Jake.
That way, the story would have been the same but I would have saved the viewers from the graphic image of a father headlocking his child while the boy is screaming please stop to his dad. Unfortunately, it is not my job to write this stuff.
