Brandon's Departure
What a temper! I hate to think this is something his own family must endure. One minute he's berating himself for leaving the wife and babies, the next he's having a fit of rage. I remember his last season when he was so caught up in trying to be good. He's truly a troubled man. From what he said on that prior season, I don't think he comes from a family who would want him to get help. They prefer the Russell side of him.
It was a first to see an entire tribe openly forfeit a challenge just to be rid of someone. That much strife would most certainly be demoralizing. The women were obviously distressed. Witnessing that kind of violent outburst would have made me ill - racing adrenalin and nausea.
It makes one wonder how long they'll be able to tolerate Phillip. Right now, he brings a lot to the challenges. His tossing skill brought it last week and this week, his strength in holding the weight of the net. Personally, I would find him maddening. That "Stealth R Us" theme is right out of a kid's imagination.
I recall Jeff saying something - perhaps at Phillip's previous season finale? - that people wanted to know if he was REALLY an agent. They checked, and he was. Am I remembering this correctly? It just seems too great a stretch to believe such a blabbermouth could work in a covert agency.

Hi Singly. The title through me but then I figured out you meant Brandon, Russell's nephew. It seems to me obnoxious runs in the family there and it seems Brandon is on the edge of losing it completely.
It was also the first time I had seen a tribe openly forfeit a challenge but I have to admit I have not watched all the Survivor shows in the fast couple of years. I used to watch them faithfully until then and then just kind of got turned off by them. I just watched last night's on-line because I was watching American Idol last night. Truthfully I think the tribe made the right decision to forfeit the challenge the way they did - Brandon's behavior of dumping all the food was way over the top and I would have been afraid of what else he was capable of doing if I were one of the tribe members. The guy was acting totally out of control - scary!
As far as Phillip goes, he is an egotistical son of a gun for sure, but he also does have the strength that is needed to win challenges so it will be interested to see what happens next week.

Re: Brandon's Departure
They need to keep Phillip he is very strong for the tribe right now and can easily get rid of him when they do merge which I think might happen next week after seeing the previews. Brandon is just a joke of what a man is it seems all of them are crazy but one thing I will add is Russell never did act that way he was just simple/plain a villian that really loved this show and playing it. I feel for the whole family because another nephew of Russell's was on Big brother and got kicked off the show for head butting another player than 2 weeks after the show he got arrested for a DUI.

Re: Brandon's Departure
Thanks for the heads up, SLA. I fixed the title. Don't know where my head was - obviously, on Russell. I, too, stopped watching for a while. I bailed mid-season when Russell was on - a first for me, and didn't fully come back until now.
I think I've reached my saturation point with featured all-star a$$es.
I'm so happy you folks have posted on the thread. See you next week - OR sooner.

Re: Brandon's Departure
There is definately one thing you can say for Brandon's departure...it certainly was memorable LOL
Phillip has to go soon. He is irritating. I can't stand how he thinks that he is in charge of everything and everyone and you have to run everything by him! The arrogance!
BTW, singly...is that picture of you when you were a child? How cute! I have to come up with some sort of pic to post. Maybe I'll use one of my pics when I was a child as well. Not sure I want to post a current one.

I agree that Phillip needs to go but they need to wait till they merge because on that tribe he is the strongest of them. So if they have any chance to win immunity they will need him and his pink underwear too.

Thanks SLA...I have been busy the last few days or I would have been over here sooner. I am done with ABC's Bach Message board. Too aggrevating.

Re: Brandon's Departure
Haven't watch the show for a couple weeks now I think and haven't watched my recording. Is Malcolm still there? He is my favorite. I was rooting for him from the season before. I don't watch the Survivor every season but do they always do a consecutive season in the same place or country? The current season and the season before are both Philippines and i'm loving it
