CANCELLED??

I just read two posts on another forum stating that the two-hour slot from 9 to 11 Eastern time on Tuesdays has been filled by Dateline and Grimm. Which leaves the question, is NBC moving this show to another time, or cancelling it altogether? There were only 3.5M people watching the second episode. Anyone hear or see anything about this?

No I haven't heard anything about that and I just looked on the TV Guide on line for Tuesday 4/23 and they are showing Ready For Love airing at 9:00 pm right after the Voice. So I'm planning on watching it come Tuesday night unless some changes are made to the schedule in the meantime. CANCELLED?? 4184157158

Thanks for the info ladies. I watched the eoisodes but it wasn't a great show. Why can't they at least skip ahead and let us see how it ends. I hate to be left hanging...
That happened last year with , os what was that show...666 park Avenue?/ is that the name?/ Not great but wanted to know how it ended. watched all the episodes.

Watched Ben's portion. The last of the parts that I hadn't seen. This show is so phomy. They really went overboard on choosing a diverse dempgraphic for the bachelors. The only matchmaker thahad some choices that were okay was the first one, the blond. The male matchmaker had some poor choices except for the twins. They seemed sweet.
Some of these girls just said the stupidest, most unbelievable things. This show is geared for the 17-25 group when they had a few beers and were partying. Not for serious scholarly types in that age group and notintelligent life forms such as us
BUT still want to know the outcome.

Vic -- Surely you've figured out that all these dating reality shows are phony. In its own way so is Bach/ette, with the exception of a few seasons when true love came out of it: Trista and Ryan, Jason and Molly, Ashley and JP, and hopefully Sean and Catherine.

The networks are not appealing to us older, more intelligent forms of life. The demographic for these shows is 18-34. Funny we still watch them and want to know how they turn out.

Hiya newto Good to see you. Yes, young demographic as I said, and not too bright, kind of like those movies "The Hangover" and others like it.
Yes, many reality shows seem phony, though Survivor seems totally real--too real at times as I've said on that thread. This show was just plain stupid because of what the females said (can't call them ladies). I still have the last half hour to watch of Ben's dates and then I'll delete it. He was the one bachelor I liked ut of the three. I NEVER get tired of The Bachelor/ette no matter how scripted it is. Love the places they go, the clothes, just the whole premise; it is the one show that I find relaxing. Don't have to wonder what happened, don't get bored, just sit back and forget everything in my life for two delicious hours. That's what I like. My own personal destressor!!!.

PS Do you watch BBC and WPBT (public broadcasting). There are so many wonderful shows.

I watch BBC and Public Broadcasting a lot. Also watch "Call the Midwife". I'm not sure if this is a regular series, but last week I watched Magnificent Women, and they showcased Grace Kelly....loved it. On their website it said they were going to have Wallis Simpson, which I think would be really interesting. Also love the History Channel.

I like the history channel, too, rein. Quite some time ago, I taped a program about the Hubble telescope and its final repair. I saved it, and every now and then, I'd watch to see the fabulous nebulae again. When I upgraded, I lost it. *phooey* Fascinating that the colorist assigned colors to the different gases to come up with color pics. Perhaps they'll run it again.

For some reason, I'm seeing Tesla stuff everywhere lately. Just think. If not for JP Morgan, we'd have had free electric. I remember reading something about his using running ground water. There's speculation that the pyramids may have been generators due to the underground water there. *bored yet?*

I find it interesting that Eva Longoria criticized the Bachelor/ette without naming names in the commercial and claimed her show was going to do more to find REAL relationships.....only to be cancelled after a couple of episodes? If they don't end up showing the rest it won't bother me any...the only thing I would want to see play out is for someone to punch that nasty girl from last week from the Habitat for Humanity date LOL...

They said at the end of the episode that we can watch it online next Tuesday. I can't believe they invest all the time and energy into creating a new show and cancel it after the 3rd episode! Mad!

I posted a comment on bachandbachette fans to someone who could not understand why the show was cancelled. He/she thought 3.1M viewers was a reasonable audience. That is actually a network disaster, as it will discourage advertisers from sinking money into the show. No ads=no money=no show.

Did they say where online we could watch the rest of the show? Now that I'm invested in seeing who the guys pick, I'd like to watch the rest of it if possible. Thanks!!

Newto I thought they said we could watch it on NBC.com so that would be their station website. It is the same thing that CBS did when they cancelled their dating show '3'.

Newto I had seen that article and I have to agree with some of the things they are saying especially about the air time spent on the matchmakers. I had read it before I watched the show last night and they were really spot on about the it being the matchmakers show and not the bachelors. For some reason, I could not move to the next page so I only saw reasons, 1-5. I agree the matchmakers got too much air time, but those are tweaks that could have been made. It had some flaws, but to pull it so soon is kind of rude to the viewers and an embarrassment for the network if you ask me. If you start something can you please finish it? geez Evil or Very Mad

Sorry you guys couldn't get to the second page; I didn't have any trouble reading both pages.

As to the network being embarrassed, that may very well be true but, as I said before, little audience, little advertising = little money = no show. I remember when Bachelor viewership went down and there was concern about the series being continued. It's all about the almighty dollar!!

What you just said newto is so true - it's all about the almighty dollar. I was able to read both pages when I found the article but haven't pulled up the link as I had already read it.
