As the evening wore on Jenny was pretty certain about who
she wanted to keep in her "marem,"
male harem. She felt that as much as she liked Braeden, there was was no real
chemistry brewing. She knew enough about herself to figure out that if there
was no spark, there would be no fire. She did feel a connection with Devin and
was so attracted to him that she actually was excited to go on some dates with
him. She just needed to figure out if this feeling was more than
attraction-could the lust turn into love? And as for Dakota, well let's just
say that the sparks were out of control and Jenny knew this was one special
connection. She just got lost in his eyes, and those killer dimples should just
be out and out illegal!

Penny also had a pretty clear notion of whom she wanted to
get to know better. After visiting with all three men, she had to go with her
instincts here. She too did not feel a
connection with the entrepreneur. While Kaeden was beautiful to look at and
dreamy to listen to, keeping a guy from Paris with the southern accent was not
reason enough to send someone else home that she liked more. Penny took Marcus
aside and as he spoke with passion about the stage, Penny leaned into him and
impulsively kissed him with abandon she didn't know she had! Marcus returned
the fervor in his kiss and Penny clocked out of that ballroom in an instant.
They both were caught up in the moment! After what seemed like an eternity they
both just looked at each other with complete and utter shock and amazement.
There was no question that there was a connection here, and Penny found it
difficult to concentrate after that corker. After recovering a bit, she spoke
with Austin and realized how tender hearted he was and ready to commit to love.
He seemed so sensitive, and told her the reason he was in Miami was for the
birds-literally. He loved flamingos and knew he could do so much good. And then
he told Penny something surprising-he had never met a girl who shared his
passion for waterfowl, and that he was falling in love with her and her
sweetness. Penny was so touched by this but she knew that it took more than
that to make a relationship work. Would they have enough to have something
lasting in the real world?

As usual Jenny and Penny were growing impatient since they had made up their
minds already. They pulled aside some of The Bachelor crew members and decided
to forgo making their decisions in the Decision Room, since Susie Q was still
filming in there. And so the girls went
into their bedroom to give their decisions to the bachelors. Although Braeden and Kaeden were disappointed
to be let go, they knew it was better to be let go now than when down on one
knee, and with their hearts fully engaged! And so they bid their good byes as
true gentlemen, and shook the others' hands and left the ballroom. They heard
that some other bachelors were going clubbing in the Miami area, and decided to
tag along. They decided they didn't want to be "all dressed up with no where
to go!" After saying goodby to the entrepreneurs, Jenny and Penny turned
to look at their choices, still standing in the candlelight.

As the champagne was poured, Penny offered up a Scottish
toast from their Nana:

May those who love us, love us.
And those who don't love us may God turn their hearts.
And if he doesn't turn their hearts may he turn their ankles.
So we will know them by their limping!

Well everyone just stopped in mid cheer with that one! Then Jenny
said,"Penny! You know that was
Grandad that said that one just to rile up Nana! Boys, don't listen to her-she's
just been nippin the bottle is all," as Jenny glared at Penny. But Marcus
was roaring in delight, as he knew that Penny was a little mischief maker and
he delighted in that enormously! And then Dakota announced a toast from HIS
Scottish grandmam:

Here's to all that I
love
Here's to all that love me
And here's to all those that love those that I love
And all those that love those that love me!

Now it was Jenny's turn to laugh, and that she did! They
ended their toasts with the traditional "cheers," and hugs all
around, and were looking forward to the coming week. The girls had no idea that
another adventure was looming, and that picking bachelors was not as easy as
this one seemed to be...

As Susie Q made her way into the decision room, she knew
just what she had to do. First, she turned to Fernando and told him that she
was sorry, but she didn't feel a connection with him and that she didn't feel
that she would fit into his busy scheduling of Tango dancing. She wished him
luck on making the cast of professional dancers on 'Dancing With The Stars' and said that perhaps he could speak to
some to the producers on this set and hopefully get some contact info for who
he needed to speak with. He danced his way out to the limo seeming as if
he was almost thankful to be going home. Although, he did wonder, what is wrong with her? I'm a fine piece of dancing machinery. And with that he decided to join the other
bachelors that were sent home, for a night on the town in Miami!!

She looked at both gentlemen remaining, Brett and Michael.
She gladly told each of the men that she would like it if they would both stay
and go on some fun filled and eventful dates with her this week. Both
happily accepted and toasted in full Bachelorette fashion with a full glass of
the
bubbly...

Susie excused herself from the boys for just a moment and
took off running upstairs to her room. She was fumbling through the drawers of
her nightstand when finally, she found it! She dialed Brian immediately, no
answer… She decided to leave a message, “Brian, this is Susie and I just wanted
to let you know that I have decided to keep only 2 of the bachelors that ABC
brought to me. I hope that you will agree to date me this week, as well!! I’ll call you back tomorrow to schedule a
time for us to meet. Have a good night sweetheart.” With a tear in eye, she hoped that Brian would
understand her decision and be willing to still date her. She rushed out and back down to the decision
room to meet her bachelors.

Tara has decided that she will not select any bachelors, so
she goes to Chris, and her parents to explain her situation. "Hi
Chris, Mom and Dad; I have decided I'm not interested in Patrick, Daniel or
George. It is no use my continuing with this; I have no feelings for
either of them; as a matter of fact, three of my friends have hit it off with my bachelors and they have left with my
friends. They seem quite happy and I'm happy for them. Sorry, I
didn't mean to play a Brad but if you don't have the feelings, then you can't
force yourself to. So, take me off the program; I'm going to my
room."

"Wait a miniute, Tara, don't go yet, we may have some
bachelors here that may interest you, just sit and enjoy the ball, dance, have
something to drink, enjoy yourself!" "Okay,” Tara heads for the
punch bowl and grabs a drink. It is wine,. She takes a sip and..... Um, this taste s good, she's thinking and she grabs another drink
and heads for the corner with her book. Sipping, reading and sipping can lead to.....
well, you know!

Once Bonnie’s Bachelors left, she headed to (you guessed it!) her special bench
in the garden. The extra chairs had been removed, erasing the events of
the evening as if they had never happened. Bonnie sat under the moonlight
and thought of Fred and how much she wished they could be together doing simple
things like going on picnics. Bonnie sighed with longing.
Meanwhile, Fred who had gone back to sleep in Scotland, after that
nightmare, was now dreaming again of Bonnie, but this time, it was a lovely
dream. Fred and Bonnie had gone on a picnic and were feeding
each other grapes while they contemplated whether the water was warm enough for
skinny dipping. Fred sighed and then groaned in his sleep. (No rest for the weary!) AWWWWW!

Sara knew that her turn was coming soon for the decision
room so she started collecting her thoughts and her bachelors. She was nervous and didn’t like having to hurt
anyone’s feelings. The four of them
entered the room and she began speaking, “Bob, I would love for you to stay
with me this week and enjoy some great adventures that I have planned.” Eric had a look on his face that said, WHAT? He thought for sure that he would
be the only one staying and having Sara all to himself this week. But, Sara felt that Eric was almost too good
to be true so she figured she’d keep Bob as a ‘backup plan’. Always gotta have a backup plan, she
thought! She learned that from her older
sisters, Jenny and Penny. Haha!!

She looked at Richard who seemed to already know what she
was going to say, he looked her in the eye, smiled, and said, “I know.” She
apologized, but told him that she truly thought he was a great guy and that he
would find someone soon. “In fact,” she said, “you know, I heard Libby talking
about you in the Teacher’s Lounge the other day, she said how she thought that
you were just so cute and wondered if you were seeing anyone… you should call her!” WOW!
He thought to himself. Libby was the new dance teacher and was beautiful beyond
his belief! He thanked her, kissed her
hand, hugged her and went on his way to the limo. Eric decided that he was glad to have Bob
there and figured that this way he could show Sara how much better he was for
her than any other man. She walked over
to Eric and invited him to stay the week so they could go scuba diving together
as they had discussed earlier in the evening. He gladly accepted, wrapped his arms around
her and gently kissed her on the cheek.

Kara's decision was an easy one. Her heart belonged to
Twilley. Period. However, Kara loved to laugh and shoot pool,
play ping-pong, and just hang out in a group. She had so much fun with her three suitors,
she took them all aside privately, and asked them if they would like to stay on
as friends, and come over every night that week to have a good time, playing
cards and video games, and swimming in the pool. Preston, Colin and Zach all
said yes to this, and they all looked forward to a week of relaxed fun.

Tara finishes her two drinks and head back to the table for
another. She's at the part in her book about delivering the baby and it
looks quite interesting to her. She decides to go outside and sit under
the stars for awhile and take in some fresh air. She finds a place to sit
and opens her book to the part where the mother-to-be is in the hospital and
Daddy-to-be is giving the mommy all the attention in the world! Tara
closes her book and starts to think about when she will become a mother.
Of course, she knows now that she is not pregger because that was explained to
her rather clearly by her mother-something mommy should have done a long time
ago!

Tara doses off and begins dreaming of a handsome man named
Jerry who is right by her side as she is delivering their baby. Tara has
a real bad habit of talking in her sleep and she has been known to walk in her
sleep also. Down the road coming up through the darkness is a man with
his head down, just thinking of a bunch of "what if's".
Suddenly, he hears a loud yell, "It's coming, it's coming, it's
coming," the person screems. Jerry
runs to where the noise comes from and there he sees Tara! "Oh, my,
oh my, oh my, isn't he so beautiful Jerry?', but to Jerry it sounds like
Jeremy. . "Oh darling, we have our little boy, he's so
perfect and look at those beautiful green eyes and the dark brown hair, he
looks just like you sweetheart, Oh, Jer..my what will we name him" I
think Jr., yes, Jr.

Jerry takes one look at Tara and he knows Tara is dreaming
but he now realizes that she is dreaming of that rascal, Jeremy. He
is plenty peeeeeeeeeeeturbed, because he thinks Tara has played him for a fool
trying to pawn Jeremy's baby off on him. Jerry doesn't know that Tara now
knows she is not pregger. Jerry walks away feeling as if the ground has
crumbled under him.

While we're waiting for Lara to make her decisions regarding
her Bachelors, there is a part of our story that has gone untold, thus
far. Juan, the Butler, was having a tough evening, as he watched all
of the Bonnet girls meet their Bachelors and explore the potential of true
love. Now, Juan had been like a second father to the girls and he loved
each one of them dearly, but he had a great sadness in his heart. The
sadness did not relate to the girls and the fact that they all might be getting
married soon or the fact that that the impulsive one, Louise, had eloped that
night. Juan was tortured by a discovery he had made in the last day or
so. It had to do with Mary.

Now, when Mary had come to the Castle twenty years ago,
straight off the boat from Ireland, Juan had just taken over the job of Butler
from his father, Stanley. Mary had been a timid and sweet, young girl of
25, and Juan being ten years older, had taken her under his wing. He
wanted the staff of Bonnet Castle to be a happy crew that would provide the
best of service to Mr. and Mrs. B. and their lovely lassies. Now Juan, as
you might have guessed by his name, was the spawn of his very proper English
father, Stanley, and his mother, a very beautiful and flamboyant girl from San
Luis Potosi, Mexico. (His mother
had been raised in a band of gypsies, but maybe we’ll talk about that later.)

For now, we’re just explaining how Juan was a distinguished looking man of
partially Hispanic descent who spoke perfect English. Anyway, over the
years, Juan and Mary sat across the table at meals, exchanging news of the
family, commenting on the lovely sisters, noticing their individual traits, and
in many ways were like an old married couple who had ten daughters. They
had never consummated their relationship in any way, not even by a kiss, but
that had been hard for Juan, because he loved Mary with all his
heart. But Juan had inherited enough of Stanley's British
"stiff upper lip" bit, that he was able to control the passionate Latino
side he had gotten from his mother. The other night, when he had been
closing the windows as the evening began to chill, he noticed a commotion in
the garden and saw his Mary with another man and looking so happy. It had
broken Juan’s heart.

After all of the Bachelors had gone, except for Lara’s, who
were still around somewhere, Chris Harrison announced he had a surprise.
After a moment, Jason walked into the room! Chris shook Jason's hand and
then said to the others, “I’d like to introduce you to Jason, who you may
already know from our last Bachelorette show. Jason is also going to be
our next Bachelor, so all of you Bonnet girls, need to keep your hands off of
him or ABC will be very unhappy about a breech of contract.” (Chris was only half joking about that!)

“Any way,” Chris continued, “Jason is here because of the
Board game he is designing about “The Bonnets of Bonnet Castle.” He has
reached a point where he really needs to see the Castle for himself.
Jason will be staying in the Carriage House, as has been arranged by your
mother.” At this point Mrs. B. smiled and said, very pleased with herself,
“You see, girls, I can keep a secret!” Tomorrow, Jason will be exploring
the Castle and coming up with ideas to make the game lots of fun for families
all over the world. Of course, if anyone would like to volunteer to show
him around, that would be very helpful.”

When Chris Harrison came for Lara, she pulled him aside and
whispered in his ear. Chris smiled and nodded. Lara, Christopher and Paul had to wait for
awhile. They had some difficulty locating Jerry. When he did come
in he was in a terrible mood.

Lara was a bit nervous as she faced her three
bachelors. She decided to get the most difficult one out of the way
first. She sincerely wished that she could turn off those pesky cameras
so that she could be more honest. But if she was, maybe her plan wouldn't
work. So, she took a deep breath and began.

"Jerry, maybe our timing isn't quite right here because
I've sensed you have been distracted all evening. I know we haven't
exactly connected. Still, I think you and I could develop
something. I don't want to let you go so soon. Will you stay so
that we can date?"

Jerry was shocked. He didn't think there was any way
Lara would keep him. Besides, did he really want to stay close to the
adorable but lying and maybe even crazy Tara? But Lara's eyes pleaded for
him to say yes. He didn't want to hurt such a sweet girl. So he
nodded and hugged her. He was was further intrigued when she whispered in
his ear, "Trust me,"

Lara was relieved. She had no intention of actually
dating Jerry herself, but she just had a feeling about him and Tara. She
didn't want him to leave the mansion before he and Tara had a chance to unsnarl
whatever had happened between them.

She next turned to Christopherand smiled.

"Chris, I never imagined meeting someone like you on
this show. I very much want to get to know you better. Can we
date?"

Chris gave her a brilliant smile and whirled around around
as he said, "Yes!"

Paul felt he was about to quite sincerely hurl. He
couldn't picture Lara wanting to manage dating 3 guys. He thought their
kiss had been so special. What went wrong? Then it hit him.
That garlic shrimp appetizer he had munched while waiting to be introduced to
Lara! How could he have been so stupid as to kiss her with garlic
breath? He was so busy mentally hitting himself in the head that he
didn't realize Lara was talking to him.

"Paul" her voice was raised and
anxious,"Can't I at least have an answer?"

"Uh, I think it was the shrimp," he replied, sure
that she had asked what in the world he had eaten to give him such foul breath.

"What? Shrimp? Is that a yes or a no?
What does continuing to date have to do with shrimp?" Lara was
totally confused and very disappointed. She really felt a connection with
Paul, but obviously he wasn't even interested enough to hear whether or not she
wanted to see him!

Paul was so befuddled that he could only stammer,
"C-c-ontinue to d-date? Uh- of course. Well, yes, I-I really want
to." He was bright red and too embarrassed to do anything but shake
her hand.

They all toasted with champaign but Lara had trouble
maintaining her bright camera smile. She couldn't imagine what had gone
wrong with Paul. She had thought........ Oh well, it didn't matter.
So Paul wasn't really into her. He probably just hadn't wanted to refuse
her on TV. After all he was a gentleman. She wouldn't try to take
up much of his time this week. She reminded herself that everything
happens for a reason and she still had Chris looking like he was ready to carry
her away.

She turned to Chris and said, "So I'd like to see
how creative you are. I'm going to let you plan our first date. It
will be tomorrow night."

Chris' eyes lit up as Paul turned away sadly wondering what
he could do to fix this mess. Jerry was too distracted to notice the rest
of them. He just kept thinking about finding Tara talking in her sleep.

It was later on that evening when Tara had finished the book
whenTara decided she needed to find Jerry and apologize. She knew Jerry
was somewhere in the castle, so after asking around, she found he was staying
in a cottage near the castle.

Tara walked up to the door and knocked. Jerry was getting ready for bed so he wasn't
exactly dressed for company. "Who is it?" he asks.
"Jerry, it's me, Tara, I need to talk with you. Can I come in?" "Well, wait
just a minute, let me get dressed, I'll be right there." Tara
thought he said, come right in, so she open the door and there stood Jerry
wearing just his "fruit of the looms" about to put on his blue
jeans. Tara looked, "OMGosh, you are beautiful',” Tara gasped.
"Jerry, I'm so so....rry for all the . . . "

Tara didn't have a chance to continue for Jerry grabbed her
pulled her to him and kissed her with all the love he had in his heart.
Tara was in tears, "I love you, Jerry, I have loved you since the minute I
met you, I'm so sorry for accusing you of getting me, oh you know, I'm so
embarrassed," cried Tara. "Tara, honey, I can't think of anything
more wonderful than seeing you carrying my baby, but we have to do this right!"

"Excuse me a minute, sweetie, I'll be right back,"
Jerry leaves and goes into his bedroom; he opens a box his mother had given
him; she had told him there was something for him that just might come in handy
one day. Inside is the beautiful emerald and diamond ring given to
his grandmother many years ago by his grandfather. It seems that just it
was love at first sight for his gandparents also.

He pulls on some jeans and a t-shirt (this is the same
t-shirt Tara wore the night she stayed at Jerry's house). Holding the box
with the emerald, he walks back to the living room. He approaches Tara
and gets down on one knee, "Tara, love of my life, will you marry
me?" "Yes, my darling, Jerry, I'll marry you, yes, yes,
yes" He places the ring on her finger and says, "Now lets start
thinking of Jr. okay, the sooner, the better!"

This is the love story
of Tara and Jerry; they married and their first child was a Jr. Then they had twin girls and another
boy. They live in Miami near Tara's parents and Jerry's mother has a
cottage near them. She is teaching her grandchildren signing. Jerry is
working for D. Trump and Kara is still working on her Phd. The End.

Reader's Note: Mackey may be wrapping up her part of the story, but there is lots more to come. In fact, this one really is a novel! I show we are now on page 82 of a 277 Word Document! Hope that doesn't discourage anyone from reading on! S&T

With Jeremy being out of the country, Jane was able to focus
all of her attention on Peter. On Tuesday evening, they had dinner at It Takes Two to Tango, which offered a
light menu of Argentinian delights. After a dinner of a fabulous, spicy
stew, they had a wonderful Dulce de leche for dessert. Peter liked to
dance and he had told Jane he’d give her a tango lesson. Jane really
wasn’t a tango kind of girl, but she wanted to broaden her horizons and she
knew she wouldn’t really know if she liked the tango or not unless she tried.

Fernando happened to be working that night. He had
quickly gotten over Susie Q. and had found a new muchacha named Brenda when he
had gone out clubbing with the other rejected Bachelors the night before.
Fernando was not one to hold grudges, so he was happy to help Peter out with
teaching Jane, if and when things got tricky. In fact, Fernando knew the
tango inside out, so when Jane had trouble getting started, Fernando danced the
female part with Peter dancing the male part and Jane found that very helpful,
although it was a little strange to watch.

With Fernando’s assistance, Jane soon picked up the basics
and, throwing caution to the wind, she tapped into her wilder side and found
that the passionate tango could also be a lot of fun. Peter was impressed
at how quickly Jane progressed after a hesitant start. He enjoyed her
witty repartee and found her very attractive. Towards the end of the
evening, Peter said, “I’d love to show you our vineyard in the Napa
Valley. Growing grapes is such basic art. There’s truth and beauty
in the vine. The sunsets are amazing.”

“It sounds wonderful,” Jane responded truthfully. “I’d
love to go there with you. In fact, we can do anything we want this
week. How about we each take tomorrow off to rest and regroup and then we
can fly out to Napa on Thursday, if you’d like, and fly back here on Saturday
night.” “Like it? I’d love it! I’ll call my folks and tell
them we’re coming!”

Jason found the Bonnet Castle fascinating. He kind of
wished he had brought Ty along, since Ty was going through a “Knights of the
Roundtable” phase. Oh, well, Jason decided he’d just have to buy him one
of those Bonnet Castle Doll Houses when they came out. He’d heard that
the Doll House included a garden area with a workable Duck Pond. Ty would
absolutely love that! Since all of the Bonnet girls were preoccupied with
their dates, Juan had taken Jason around and shown him the “basics” of the
Castle layout. Then Jason was told he was free to explore on his
own. Jason had already planned that his Board game would be laid out on a
board similar to the one used for the game of “Clue.” He just needed to
decide which rooms to include. With 50 rooms to choose from, it was a bit
tricky. Of course, it was a no brainer that the Library and Ball Room
should be included, but he didn’t feel they absolutely had to have the Dining
Room or the Kitchen. It was a real dilemma.

On Wednesday, when Jane was at home, getting ready for her
impromptu trip to California with Peter, she ran into Jason. “I was
wondering,” said Jason, “which rooms in the Castle you feel the family uses
most.” Jane had always been a “Jason” fan and was happy to help him
out. She showed him the rooms that she felt should make it into his
game. They included the Library, the Grand Ball Room, the front parlor,
the back parlor, the Solarium, the Billiard’s room, the Kitchen, and her
father’s Study. In the study, Jason was impressed by the fine bookshelves
that flanked the wall behind J.B.’s desk. J.B. was having lunch with
Trump that day, so the room had been empty when they entered. Jason also
thought that the air conditioning fireplace was a really cool idea. He
went to the bookshelves and touched the aged wood that had been harvested from
the forests of Loch Ness so many centuries ago.

Both Jenny and Penny had gotten home late from their first
dates with their bachelors Devin and Austin. They had not even compared notes
that evening since it had been so late and both girls were tired. But the next
morning the girls had breakfast in bed, courtesy of ABC, and began rehashing
last night's events. Penny just started out by stating that she was a little
disappointed in her date. She felt no spark whatsoever. She loved that Austin
was so sweet and adorable, but when he tried to kiss her she just turned her
head and he got her cheek. "I just didn't feel right about kissing him on
the mouth when all I could think of was that he loves his birds so much, I mean
really-where has that mouth been? I love flamingos, but I wouldn't want to kiss
one! It just felt wrong! I had the creepy feeling that he was just a little TOO
attached to his waterfowl! That's all we talked about, we went to a flamingo
shelter-which was the highlight of the evening btw, toasted to the birds-long
live the fowl of the earth he said-for real!! I just don't want to spend the
rest of my life visiting shelter after shelter nursing sick birds back to
better health. That is not my calling," Penny said woefully. Jenny burst
out laughing! "I had no idea that he was such a strange fellow, Penny. It
would just be your luck to end up with someone practically straight out of our
crazy nightmares from the other night," commiserated Jenny.

Then Jenny told Penny that her date hadn't turned out much better. She was so
excited to take Devin to the Aqualung pool/club. It was the latest rage in
clubbing especially since the 2008 Summer Olympics had brought so much
attention to the sport of swimming. After the limo dropped the couple off at
the pool area everything seemed to go wrong. First of all, Devin wanted to show
off his medals to everyone, and then he began challenging other swimmers to
races! Nobody seemed too impressed by his attitude, including Jenny. By this
time she suggested they leave the pool area and go have dinner. Jenny's friend
Term had suggested some scrumptious sensations they served at the restaurant
here. She was really looking forward to tasting them, as well as some of the
fine wines he told her about, provided free to them courtesy of ABC!

After ordering she and Devin began to really talk about
things important to each of them. While she agreed with him on some things,
such as family, morals, and personal tastes, she couldn't get past the fact
that he started kind of trashing Michael Phelps. And the more he drank-when oh
when was that food getting there she wondered-the more he started to sound like
sour grapes had become his food of choice! Now, Michael Phelps was Jenny's
hero-she loved his grit, his humble attitude, and the fact that he really loved
his mother! His work ethic was legend in her eyes, and she just couldn't take
any more bashing.

By the time the food arrived Jenny had totally lost her
appetite and she finally let loose with a tantrum of her own. This was unusual
as Jenny was a pretty even tempered young woman. She stood up and angrily threw
her napkin into her food. "You have gone too far, Devin, she sputtered. I
have tried my hardest to make this work, but you are not even trying. This is
not about you, this is about me finding my one true love, and I will not have
you trashing MY Michael Phelps-I will not stand for it!!"

Devin just dropped his fork onto his plate and stared at
Jenny, his mouth agape. He looked as if he was going to cry on the spot, so
shocked was he, that Jenny quickly sat down. He apologized to Jenny, and told
her that he had too much to drink, and felt very bitter about his performance
at the Olympics, but would never bring that up again. And so the couple left
the restaurant, decided to call it an evening, and Jenny got home, starving but
calmer at least.

Penny just looked at her and said, "You win. Your date
was totally worse than mine-and no wonder you're scarfing down all that food!
Now you'll just have to go back there with Thadeus so you can get to have the
dinner you missed out on last night." Penny knew how much Jenny loved that
fancy cuisine and knew that this event would stick in her craw until she got
that schmancy dinner after all!

Mrs. B then informed the girls that Jason "was in the house" and they
needed to get out of bed and do a little "dusting" before he checked
out the rooms! With that, the girls
jumped out of bed got themselves all prettified, and ran downstairs to get a
look at their BAFBITWWW* firsthand!

Jane, having spent quite a while showing Jason around,
excused herself once she had taken him to the study and
he was looking over the fine wooden bookshelves. As she
left the room, Jenny & Penny came running in, "Hi, Sis!" they
said in unison. "Hi, you two! Maybe you can help Jason if he
needs something." "Sure!" they said, exchanging grins and
high fives. Jenny had her trusty dustrag in her hand. Penny was
dragging her vacuum cleaner behind her. (It's always important for girls to have the right
accessories!)

During the next week, a lot happened in Scotland.
Jeremy, after searching all over Edinburgh, finally found Ron and Louise in a
small hotel on the west side of town on Wednesday afternoon (at about the same time Jane was showing Jason the Study at
Bonnet Castle)
. Louise was fine and very much in love, but Ron had
definitely “had his way with her,” and there was no wedding ring on her finger.

Ron was away when Jeremy arrived, which was all for the
best, considering their adversarial relationship. Louise was very happy
to see Jeremy and was actually very sweet. “Jeremy, is my family
OK? I hope my leaving like that didn’t upset them. I am so happy!
Ron is wonderful! But he is having a little problem with his bank right
now. I’m sure it will be straightened out soon. In the meantime,
it’s a good thing I have an excellent credit rating and got a big bonus last
year at work, so it’s no problem for me to pay our bills until Ron can
straighten out his finances.”

Jeremy, aware of Louise’s innocence, chose to be very
kind. “Louise, I’m sure Ron will get his finances straightened out
soon. Your family is fine. They just want to be sure you are
happy.’ “Oh, I am! I am the happiest woman in the world!”

At this point, Ron came in and actually “balked” when he saw
Jeremy. “What are you doing here?” asked Ron with a sharp edge to his
voice. “Well, I’m actually here to talk business with you, Ron.” Jeremy
spoke, speaking lightly and being careful to control his temper. Why don’t
we go down to the little pub I saw on the corner and have a chat.” On the
one hand, Ron really wanted to do no such thing, but on the other hand, he
smelled money in the air and he really liked money, so he agreed and told
Louise he would be back soon.

The girls were feeling a little silly getting so excited like that in front of their BAFBITWWW, but they just couldn't help it. Jenny and Penny had just practically salivated over Jason that season, and were shocked actually that he wasn't the final one standing at the end. Their anger was somewhat lessened when it turned out that Jesse was more DeAnna's style after all, but they both wanted to comfort Jason in the worst way. By this time both girls were blushing profusely, realizing Jason was so close to them and watching their faces intently. This made the girls blush even more as they struggled to compose themselves.
Finally Jenny cleared her throat and took charge of the situation, as usual. Jenny proceeded to tell Jason that they were glad to meet him and did he have any questions. Jason asked them about the bookcase because it was made of such unusual wood, and that it had some unique carvings in the edge work. Penny explained that the wood was from the Loch Ness and imported to the US to be built here. Most of the trees there were centuries old. The carvings were hand done by ancestors of their Scottish clan that had been passed down in the family, and family members had done some of the carpentry work, as well as attaching the carvings to the edges of the bookcase. The carvings also helped prevent the books from falling out of the case.
At that point Jason noticed all of the Dummies books and began laughing. The girls were a little taken aback by this, but then Jason told them that after the Bachelor season he had been tempted to write one of his own Dummies books. Jenny and Penny were very intrigued by this and begged him to tell them the title. After a lot of "pretty pleases" and, well, more begging Jason finally relented. "Seeing The Forest For The Trees, For Dummies, was the first one," Jason said. The girls asked him to explain and he told them that after the show was over he felt blind sided at first-he couldn't really understand what the heck had happened. But after some time spent soul searching, having some true one on one time with TY (his real life saver), and the unconditional love from his wonderful family, he came to realize that he had not yet met his soul mate. He couldn't see this at the time because of his mixed up emotions-his "trees" if you will-but he could now see the forest and every single tree in it and was ready to find his soul mate.
Both girls were blubbering by now and Jason was hugging both of them-he was comforting THEM, not the other way around! Jenny and Penny truly realized how special this man was and felt grateful to have met him. He could not walk on water, he could not perform miracles, no. But he was sweet, caring, and very funny actually. He was just a man, just looking to find his true companion in life, a companion that would share in the raising of his very special child. Jason started telling the girls about some of the off camera bloopers that had the girls rolling on the floor with laughter.
Then they tried to think of some Dummies book titles from that conversation and laughed even more! Shark Shooting for Dummies, Rejecting a Rejection For Dummies, Riding ATVs Without Really Falling For Dummies, How To Use A Sauna Without Really Sweating For Dummies, How To Not Take a Former Bachelorette"s Hotel Room Key When You've Already Sent Her Packing For Dummies, hahahahahahahha-they were just cracking themselves up!! They were all still laughing as Jason looked at some of the books on the shelves. There was one in particular that Jason wanted to see on an upper shelf, and Penny offered to climb the shiny new ladder to get it. She had a difficult time reaching it so both Jenny and Jason climbed up to help her. Just as Jason grabbed the edging on that shelf, Jenny pulled herself up and grabbed the edging on the other side. With that, the bookcase DID move, and quickly, and before anyone could say "Amarosa," the three were in another room BEHIND the bookcase...

Lara couldn't wait for her date with Christopher tonight. She agonized over her outfit and finally selected her version of the infamous little black dress. Glittering diamond and jet earings added sparkle to her face. Her hair was in a very sophisicated french braid. She added a shawl woven in their families plaid and held in place with a diamond set Celtic cross. She was stunning. Chris arrived at 6:30 sharp. He drove her away in hisred convertible after carefully tying a black silk scarf arounf her head so that her hair would not muss. His thoughtfulness and the intinmacy of his fingers against her neck started their date off very well. When they neared their destination he asked her to shut her eyes. As hard as it was not to peek, Lara was very well behaved. He put his arm around her and led her into what felt like a huge empty space.

"Now you can look." he told her. Lara gasped. They were all alone in a huge theater! He led her to the front where a table had been set. She was immediately reminded of Deanna and Jesse first 1:1. She tentatively mentioned that memorable episode. Chris hadn't seen it, but had been filled in by ABC about the last season.

"Well," he said, we do have a catered dinner, but I'm afraid I couldn't manage a private concert. Lara assured him thta she understood and they enjoyed an excellent dinner. They talked quite effortlessly through desert and then the waiter brought them Irish Coffees. As she sipped, Lara noticed sound from the orchestra pit. Techies were beginning to set up the stage. She turned to Chris with questions in her eyes.
"I said I couldn't arrange a private concert. But I was able to arrange a private dress rehearsal." He grinned micheviouslyand then looked up at the stage. Lara's eyes followed his direction and her heart leaped into her throat. As music began, Josh Groban himself walked out onto the stage and began to sing.

Chris took her hand. "Suprised?" he asked.

"This is the most incredible thing anyone's ever done for me!" she spoke with wonder in her voice. Then they both turned back to the stage to enjoy the "rehearsal."

At the pub, Jeremy made a deal with Ron. Ron would marry Louise the next day with Jeremy as a witness. Jeremy would give Ron a “Trust Fund” of One Million Dollars a year for life on the conditions that he remained married to Louise, never cheated on her, and treated her well. If he broke any of those conditions, the Trust Fund would be terminated. Fortunately, Ron really liked Louise and was especially enjoying teaching his eager little virgin just the way he liked things done and knew he had enough tricks that he’d be teaching her for years to come (no pun intended, think about it!), as they experimented with so many positions and he fully expected to find it very entertaining, if you know what we mean. At this point in his life, Ron was also a bit tired of the shenanigans he had had to pull to get funds over the years. He was eager to accept the deal and the comforts that came with it, and quite pleased that he had forced Darsley, once more, to bail him out.

On Thursday, Louise became Mrs. Ron Wikid with a beautiful 2 karat diamond ring on her finger, as a present from Jeremy.

Now a household the size of Bonnet Castle needed a larger staff than just Juan and Mary. There was also a Cook, a General Maid, and a Groundskeeper. The Cook whose name was Colleen had also come from Ireland. She was 50 years old and had joined the household ten years ago. For all this time, Colleen had sat at the end of the table at meals and watched and listened as Juan and Mary had their little discussions.

Colleen did join in the talk at times when she had something interesting to add, but it always felt like she was interrupting a private conversation. This was very sad, because Colleen was in love with Juan and he didn’t give her the time of day. I mean, he did make sure that all the clocks in the kitchen were set to the second, and he was always polite to Colleen when he asked her to make his favorites for dinner, but Juan just didn’t know that Colleen existed as a person, other than as a very good Cook.

Now Colleen had always heard that the way to a man’s heart was through his stomach, but that just didn’t seem to apply to Juan. Colleen had tried for years to get Juan to take notice of her. Some weeks she cooked every single favorite dish Juan had ever praised and all he had done after each meal was say things like, “Colleen, that was very good.” or “Colleen, I really enjoyed that.” or “Colleen, you’re going to make me fat cooking like that.” Juan appreciated the food, but food definitely did not translate into love for him.

Colleen was also very aware that Juan had a “thing” about Mary and that Mary was “clueless” about Juan’s thing, which should have helped Colleen in her efforts to catch Juan’s eye, but unfortunately, it didn’t. Colleen had even gone so far as to sneak into Mr. B.’s Study when everyone else was asleep and borrow some of those Dummie books. She had worn the pages thin on “How to Boil Hot Water and Catch A Man at the Same Time for Dummies” and “Heart Healthy Recipes for Dummies.” Colleen had also followed all of the directions in “How to Dress for Man Eating for Dummies.” (That one had been written by Hall & Oates, too! One of Colleen’s favorite groups.) But nothing helped. Not the longest lash mascara, not the 4” spiked heels that made it so tough being on her feet all day long, not the Stawberry Chiffonade ala mode. Nada! Zip! Double Zip! Colleen was about to give up. She was even thinking of giving the Groundskeeper, Pedro, the time of day! Just in the nick of time, Colleen noticed a change in Juan.

Lara had such a wonderful time at the concert. At one point, Josh actually motioned for her to come up on stage! They sang "The Prayer" together. After the dress rehearsal ended, Josh came down and talked with them both for awhile. As he left he told Lara, "Now you take care of my little brother, because I can tell that he is just crazy about you!" Lara blushed and assured Josh that she would while Chris groaned and threw a napkin at his big brother's retreating back. He looked at Lara and moaned, "It's not easy being the "kid brother."

Lara laughed "Tell me about it. Try being the youngest of all my sisters!" They continued to joke as they walked out of the theater, holding hands. Lara was shocked when a limo pulled up instead of his convertible. "Just giving you one last suprise," said Chris. They sunk into the comfortable seats in the limo and Chris pulled out Asti Spumonte, Lara's favorite. "You like sweet things, don't you?" asked Chris. Lara sipped and nodded. Chris gently took her glass and sat it down. Then he took her in his arms and whispered, "So do I."

The excitement of the night, the wine, and the intimacy of the limo went straight to Lara's head. They began to kiss passionately. The next thing she knew, she was lying down on the limo seat with Chris half on top of her. He had taken off her shawl and was sliding the thin straps of her dress down her arms. "Wait," she whispered, "this is a little too fast for me." She sat up and slid her straps back up her shoulders. Chris looked a bit disappointed, but said he understood. They began kissing again, but this time Lara remained totally aware of what she was doing. She felt so good being with Chris. Their romance was definitly progressing and their chemistry was getting better every minute. Still, in the back of her mind, two thoughts kept intruding. Did she really like Chris for himself? Or because he was Josh's brother? And, Paul. Even though he seemed so strange last night, she still believed they had a connection.

After she was back in her room that night, she decided that she would give Paul a 1:1 tomorrow, just to see what would happen. She had just gotten in bed when she heard a knock on her door. It was Tara. Lara invited her in and saw that Tara seemed nervous, even guilty. "What's wrong?" Lara asked.

"Nothing at all." replied Tara, "It's the most wonderful night of my life. But I'm afraid that is at your expense."
Lara asked her to explain and Tara told her all about Jerry and how they were in love and getting married. "I know you wanted to date him and I don't want you to be hurt."

Lara amazed her by laughing and throwing her arms around her sister. 'You are so silly! I only kept him so that you and he could connect again. I knew there was something between you and I am so happy! Congratulations, Tara!" The sister laughed and cried and hugged. Then Tara ran off to be with Jerry and Lara settled down into bed. Much to her surprise, she closed her eyes and when she opened them again it was morning!

The first thing Jenny noticed when the bookcase stopped moving was how dark the room was. The second thing she noticed was how silent it was-it just engulfed her. Then Penny asked, "What just happened?" And all three began talking at once until Jenny silenced them with a loud whistle. Jenny asked Penny if she still carried that ridiculous Hello Kitty flashlight with her. "Jenny you know I never go anywhere without it since I got locked in the basement by mistake that time long ago," she said annoyingly. "Well fish it out and turn it on please-we need some light in here," Jenny said. Luckily it had a large beam for such a small flashlight. The three looked around to get their bearings, and were surprised by the size of the room.

Aside from the cobwebs and dust it was in fairly good shape. Jason suggested they look for some candles or something of that nature to give them more light. After a little searching they found some candles in a drawer and some old matches-the long kind that were used to light old hurricane lamps back in the day. They lit at least six candles since there seemed to be a rather unlimited supply. As the light grew in the room from the glow of the candles, they looked around in amazement- the room was furnished, and the furniture was covered in plastic. They pulled some of the very dusty plastic off a large tapestry covered sofa, and sat down for a moment, after placing the candles around the room. They just couldn't believe their discovery! After they gazed around the room it became apparent to them that their family had no idea where they were, and they probably didn't even know about this room's very existence! They realized they would have to find their way out but had no idea where to begin.

The girls were so glad they were there with Jason and not by themselves. Jenny remembered that last Tango she and Penny had with the bookcase, and her odd suspicion of a hidden room. Now they just had to find the hidden release and they could share their discovery with the family. Penny was getting frustrated and started saying that if they were on the other side of the wall she was sure she could find a book called How To Find Your Way Out Of A Paper Bag-er-Hidden Room For Dummies! Jenny just snorted and told Penny that that would indeed be a book for Dummies since if they WERE on the other side of the wall they wouldn't need to find a book telling them how to find their way out to begin with-duh!

While the girls were bickering, Jason was taking some mental notes. He noticed the wall with the bookcase on the other side of it had two hurricane lamps attached on either side of an old ancestral portrait. After looking over both lamps carefully, he noticed a little knob on the bottom of each. "Jenny, he said, go over to that other lamp and turn that little knob on the bottom on the count of three-one, two, three-turn it!"

The wall began to turn again and Jason and Jenny were back in the study, leaving Penny alone in the hidden room! Just then, Mrs. B. walked in and asked where they had been all this time, and Jenny was so excited she could scarcely get the words out. Jason then told Mrs. B. the story about the bookcase and Mrs. B. almost fainted dead away. She called out for Mr. B. to come quickly-another family emergency was on the horizon and he should step on it big time!! Well Mr. B. was used to such drama and didn't exactly hurry it up since he had 10 daughters and there seemed to be an inordinate amount of excitement and family emergencies around the castle of late

By the time he waltzed into the room, Jenny Jason and Mrs. B. remembered Penny was alone in that room and couldn't hear the buzzing coming from the gathering crowd in the study. Jenny and Jason tried to recreate the opening of the bookcase wall, and after a few failed attempts, were successful in getting it open.

The other sisters could hear Penny crying all over the castle and they all wondered what the commotion was. They came into the study and could see Jason, Jenny, and a very distraught Penny, and the other "hidden" room that was no longer hidden! Mr. B. took charge and began looking around the room, uncovering furniture, wondering why he never knew about this and he wanted some answers right now. Jenny, Penny, and Jason were congratulated by Mr. and Mrs. B. and were to be honored later that evening by a banquet at the castle. Jenny's father asked for Juan's presence so he could get to the bottom of this whole hidden room drama, and Jenny/Penny and Jason went to get cleaned up for dinner. Jenny and Penny were very excited because they had never been guests of honor in their own home before, and knew that meant their father was indeed proud of them! They felt they had made a lifelong friend in Jason, and each would be sitting on either side of him at the banquet. This was a smart move on their part since now none of the other Bonnet girls could monopolize Jason's time at dinner. You never know they thought-maybe he wouldn't find his soul mate this season and THEY could be in the running for his affections! This thought floated right up the stairs with the girls as they made their way to the showers!! The girls also invited Marcus and Dakota to the banquet-you can never have too many irons in the fire so to speak! And with this scenario brewing the girls began to prepare for a night of romance...
